I’m still kind of loving all of the Beyonce-Jay-Z drama. The Hive believes that anyone who doubts the strength of the Carters is simply a hater who wants Queen B to fail. The Hive is trying to shut down speculation about the marriage drama. But more and more media outlets are climbing on the Speculation Train and the train might stop at Divorce Junction. It’s not just Page Six and the NYDN reporting this stuff now. E! News says that Beyonce has been meeting with her advisers to talk about her assets. Is she getting her financial house in order for the eventual split?
As speculation around the state of Beyoncé and Jay Z’s marriage mounts, a source tells E! News exclusively that Bey has been taking meetings to discuss the future of her assets. And while this may raise a red flag, it’s also nothing new for a celeb of her monetary stature to meet with someone to make sure things are in line.
Plus, including the earnings of her business mogul hubby, these two are entering astronomical territory. “Combined they are very rapidly approaching the billion-dollar mark,” Zack Greenburg, senior editor at Forbes and also author of the book Empire State of Mind: How Jay Z went From Street Corner to Corner Office, tells E! News.
A billion-dollar couple?! You bet. And Bey didn’t fail to mention their whopping net worth in her latest musical release. In the “Flawless” remix featuring Nicki Minaj, the superstar singer referenced the infamous Hov and Solange elevator fight by saying, “We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators,” and then threw in a line about their financial status, “Of course sometimes s–t go down when it’s a billion dollars on the elevator.”
Hm. I was thinking about this too much last night. I think Beyonce’s wealth comes mostly from music and touring, while Jay has many profitable side projects. But Beyonce also models and she has side projects and endorsements too. Basically, there’s more than enough money and if they just split their assets down the middle, that will probably be about right. Sources claimed (days ago) that Bey and Jay don’t have a prenup either. Huh.
Oh, and their On the Run tour has crossed the $100 million mark for ticket sales! The tour wraps in the US today, but they’ll also be performing two back-to-back shows in Paris on September 12 & 13. Those Paris shows will be filmed for an HBO special. I wonder what Bey and Jay are going to do for the next month? Will they go on vacation together? Or will they begin to untangle their joint assets?
PS… Us Weekly also has a story about Bey and Jay staying in separate hotels/apartments while on the road. And Us Weekly confirms that Bey has been apartment-hunting in NYC solo.

I agree. They have a pre-nup. As much money as she has, and it is a bunch, he is probably worth 2-3 times what she is, maybe even more. No way they married without a pre-nup. Jay is one savvy businessman.
They’re actually really close in networth. She’s worth 450 million and he’s worth 560 million today. Back when they got married she was *only* worth around 100 million and Jay was worth around 300 million, so 100% they got a prenup.

I think if she admitted they had troubles she would get more sympathy. But she wants us to believe that she/they are perfect. And she knew what Jay-Z was when she married him and most likely did it to boost her career. So if she could spare us the Ozzie and Harriet photo shoots it would go a long way.

Being a white woman I have always admired her work ethic. I’m not into her music but she earned everything she has. I sincerely hope things don’t end in divorce but if they do I hope it’s as painless as possible. TBH I wouldn’t care if she was purple, I wish her the best

I’m old fashion I guess because I don’t see how people speculating about your marriage and possible divorce is a win. And I don’t understand how anyone in a real marriage would think that it was. I think there are a lot of things people in relationships should never do and one is to play games with your relationship; marriage in this case.
They have family and friends that these things affect also; not to mention a young child.

I doubt hard that they’ve married without a pre-nup though. These are two savvy and shrewd businessman, so there has to be a legal agreement involved. Also, it’s smart to look out for one’s own finances whether regardless of circumstances, but especially when a divorce is about to take place. Yeah, the charade will end soon. Maybe not right away but soon. It’s just a bit of gossip, so I have to say that I like the speculation. Besides, they aren’t bothered by the rumors because their baiting and profiting off them in concert, so nope. No sympathy here.

Really? In the pics that I have seen of her, it appeared to be in the process of full removal. Yes, there was still markings there on her finger, but it was quite obvious that she’d been getting tattoo removal treatments. The ring isn’t there either. I don’t believe they’ll last long. I’m gonna predict the breakup announcement around two months after the tour’s end.
She almost never wears her ring in public because it’s worth 5 million dollars. There’s a big risk of her losing it or being attacked while wearing it. She explained it in an interview. And she still has her tattoo. There are pictures of it from less than a month ago. But you just stick to your predictions.

She has her tattoo. She got it taken off because it was faded and she re-did it. His tattoo has been faded for the longest time. Hand tattoos tend to do that, kind of like nail polish. It’s the part of your body that comes in contact with moisture most often so it fades much faster.
She doesn’t wear her ring. I think the only times she’s worn it consistently was when she was pregnant and even then when she had public promotion events she took it off.
Why does it have to be a charade? Why can’t it be a marriage of two people in love? These are two people who have been together for almost 14 years knows each other for 18 and this is their first joint tour in that time. Apart from a couple of collaborations here and there they’ve both tried their hardest to seperate themselves proffesionally.

No Kaiser, not everyone that questions these rumors is a delusional Hive member. I believe that their marriage has problems, just like any other couple, and maybe their relationship is tense at the moment. But I question the fever pitch of these rumors because those closest to Beyonce were able to keep her pregnancy and her new album a secret, and I’m expected to believe that all these sources are feeding the tabloids now? They’ve been together for about 12 years, run a music empire, and have a child together. I think they’ve had problems way before the elevator incident and they managed to stay together. I don’t think they will be getting a divorce publicly, and I am not lusting for them to get a divorce either, unlike some of the commenters here. They are one of the few powerful celebrity couples who have lasted a long time, and they also have a child together.

Exactly my sentiment! So anyone who doesn’t automatically jump on the tabloid bandwagon and believe the gossip from such highly respected and reliable sources like Star magazine and Page Six are just delusional Beyonce fans?? I’m not a fan of either Jay or Bey but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and just because the gossip is at a fever pitch means nothing to me. As one poster mentioned above, if we took every surge of gossip at face value, Brad and Angelina would have broken up 100 times over by now and Jennifer Aniston would be in the process of birthing her 24th baby. Gossip is fun and enjoyable to read, but when oh when did we start treating it like gospel?
Some of us-whether you think that is wrong or not-just enjoy celebrity gossip. It’s really not as serious as everyone is making out. I’m not jealous of their wealth and no, their alleged happiness doesn’t bother me. I just generally don’t like any celebs, I think they’re all fake and phony to some degree, and stuff like this is fun for me-like watching Maury or Jerry Springer. No more, no less.
