Charlize Theron wants to get her enemy, Tia Mowry, banned from SoulCycle

FFN_Celebs_PFW_Dior_CHP_070714_51471347

One of my favorite stories of the past month was the excellent In Touch Weekly interview with Tia Mowry. You see, Tia Mowry goes to the same SoulCycle in LA as Charlize Theron. And one time, Tia and Charlize were at SoulCycle for the same class and Tia went over to say a simple “hello” to Charlize. This is what Tia told In Touch Weekly: “I said ‘Hi,’ and she actually rolled her eyes and said, ‘Oh my God.’ I wasn’t over-the-top. I know how to approach another celebrity. Charlize was just mean. I’m just being honest.” It was all very funny because we all believe that Charlize spends most of her time looking like (if not actively wishing she could) cut a bitch. So, it made sense and I think most of us wholeheartedly believed Tia Mowry. Well, funny story. Sources claim Charlize is really pissed at Tia now and Charlize is trying to get Tia kicked out of SoulCycle.

If ‘90s star Tia Mowry thought she was hurt when Oscar-winning diva Charlize Theron was “mean” to her at a spin class recently, Mowry could have a more eye-opening experience in store, that is if Theron gets her way.

Following the exchange at a SoulCycle class in Los Angeles where Theron, who is busy dating Sean Penn these days, was allegedly rude to Mowry, the “Sister, Sister” star ran to “In Touch” magazine with the story. That might have been the end of it, but the story went viral, and now, Theron is actively working to get Mowry banned from the upscale spin studio.

“Charlize came in so pissed off after Tia went to the tabloids about her, and she demanded we bar Tia from ever coming back. When the manager refused Charlize just got angrier and said she’d go to the top to make it happen,” said an insider at SoulCycle.

Mowry told “In Touch” that she approached Theron to say hello and was met with an eye roll and Theron saying, “Oh my god.” Theron took the issue of the privacy breach to SoulCycle management and raged that she has zero expectation of anonymity during her workout with Mowry around. Management refused to ban Mowry and Theron got even angrier.

“This nobody who was famous for a minute 20 years ago can complain to the tabloids about me but I can’t expect you to protect me from hangers on in your studio?” Theron said, according to employee.

Management said it would handle the situation, but a decision has yet to be made.

“This just feels like a vendetta because Tia spoke up. Charlize used to be kind of quiet and chill when she came to spin, but it looks like dating Sean Penn isn’t doing her any favors.”

[From Dish Nation]

I think Charlize might have a point if a SoulCycle employee had done the dishing, but if it’s just another gym-goer, what recourse is there? None. Charlize is just pissed off that “this nobody” made her look like a rude a—hole. And Charlize is making it worse by pitching a fit. If she just ignored it, no one would have really cared. I mean, what harm was done? As I said, we already believed that Charlize was rude and bitchy before Tia confirmed it.

Either she’s truly a mega bitch, or Sean Penn is really starting to rub off on her.

    • BangersandMash says:

I’m actually tired of hearing the whole, “Sean Penn is turning her into a bitch”

She was ALWAYS this bitchy… Trust me!!! Do you remember the supreme bitch that came out for Fassbender? She wanted him and she made SURE that not only did the world know, but Fassbender better well know this too.

If anything, Sean just helped her lose her ability to give two sh–s about public image…

      • jinni says:

She was super aggressive with Fassbender and he looked uncomfortable with her intense attention. What made it even worst was that he was still with Nicole when she was throwing herself at him.

      • inthekitchen says:

She used to be my girl-crush after I brushed shoulders with her at a party once. She was stunning in real life and squeezed past my back and whispered in my ear “excuse me”…I was sure she was flirting with me and really wanted to make out 😉

But now…she’s just an a-hole who is going to marry another a-hole. Oh Well.

      • starrywonder says:

        LOL! Yep!

      • FLORC says:

Charlize is a bad egg. Tia and SoulCycle just confirmed this to the last few carrying the torch for her.

    • jinni says:

She’s been known to be a rude for years before she got with him. Plus, Sean and Charlize have been friends for years before they actually got together so it not like she was known to be really sweet and than got with Sean and instantly became a bitch. This is definitely a birds of a feather situation, but for some reason people keep wanting to blame Sean for her behavior just like they do with Ashton for Mila’s bitchy behavior. It is time to face the truth guys, both of those women have always been naturally rude and nasty people and their partners have nothing to do with it.

      • Becks says:

Jinni, I completely agree with you! Charlize is a nasty entitled bitch and she met her match, Sean Penn. Those two deserve eachother.

      • Montréalise says:

I think that rude attracts rude. A polite and well-mannered person would be appalled if his partner or potential partner was rude towards others.

    • Audrey says:

I hate to defend her a bit

But she’s there to work out. She shouldn’t have to worry about someone running to the press to tell them about her. She’s in a private building trying to exercise, not talk to whoever comes up to her and then have then give an interview about it

      • jinni says:

True, but the same energy she put into her “oh my God”/ eye roll she could have simply nodded towards Tia and said “Hey” and kept it moving. She had no problem sparing a little time acknowledging her distaste with Tia, so she could have just as easily and politely acknowledge Tia’s greeting and than there would have been no story. But showing basic courtesy towards another human being seems to be so difficult for some.

      • inthekitchen says:

But if she had just smiled or said hello back, none of this would ever have happened. When I go to workout, if someone says hello to me I don’t pitch a fit. Granted, I’m not a high-strung celebrity who thinks I’m god’s gift to the world.

IMO, she brought all this on herself but not saying hello back – whether the other person was a celeb or not.

      • Marigold says:

Wouldn’t it be a delightful world if we all had the power to control who gets to talk to us and when? Imagine you’re at the gym and someone has the audacity to say “hi” to you. You could say “hello” back and keep on peddling or you could make it a thing. She made it a thing. These are the consequences.

      • tracking says:

Well said. No excuse for blatant rudeness in response to a simple hello.

      • eliza says:

So, if another woman comes up to you and says “Hi” at your gym, your response is to eye roll and be rude? Sorry, but a gym is actually somewhat public and while you may pay a fee to join, you are going to be exposed to other people paying the same fee and that makes it public.

People I do not know say hello to me all the time when I run trails or walk my dog and my natural response is to smile and say hello back. Mowry did say something to the press after Theron, who thinks she is above everyone else and always has, was rude to her. I guess maybe the Ice Queen should think twice before rolling her eyes and making a smart comment next time someone says “Hi” to her. Just because she is an actress, and won an Oscar does not mean she is better than you or me or a tv sitcom actress. Being polite is being polite. Simple.

      • Audrey says:

Maybe she thought it was the twin married to a fox news anchor and disagreed with their politics

      • jlm says:

Its not okay to just be an unsolicited ahole to someone like that, politics or whatever.

      • Kimmy says:

I hate defending rudeness as well, but in what world would a Mowry even be on Charlize’s radar? Ya know? She probably just thought it was some random person. I personally hate talking to people at the gym. At the same time, just say “hey” and move on.

      • Chris says:

I kinda agree. But you know what the funniest part of the whole story is? “I know how to approach another celebrity”. WTF?? Is there a special handshake? Do you put your hand out so they can sniff the celebrity off you? Please teach us!!

      • Kate2 says:

Yeah, as others said, if she had just said “Hi” this would never have been a story.

IDLYITW had a story on this too, it was interesting because the guy who writes it said every single person he knows who lives in LA has a story about her and they are ALL the same: She’s horrible.

I try not to take stock in anecdotes as they can be easily made up to make someone look bad, but when there are so many and they all say the same thing, you can’t help but believe them.

      • Dame Snarkweek says:

Theron could have just inclined her head and smiled. If you do this and then immediately shift your gaze to the equipment or back to the task at hand then the other person gets the hint that you’d rather not be disturbed. Theron assumed Mowry was just a civillian fan lol. Besides, Mowry didn’t run to the press. She was being interviewed for something else and the Theron encounter made it into the discussion. She has no obligation to bitchy Theron to protect her image.

      • melodycalder says:

If she didn’t know who she was then I think that is even worst! This is what she really thinks about and how she treats people who she feels are beneath her. Celebrities should know that if they are rude to someone people will talk. This type of stuff was discussed about Diaz and segal during their tour too.

      • Chris says:

        (other Chris here)
I can see, objectively, that she’s beautiful, but jaysus she radiates something quite other. Dead eyes, cold demeanour….she makes me shiver.
But this gym thing beats all for me. For heaven’s sake either pay for total privacy and exclusivity, or blend in with other humans in a small way. Lack of grace like this makes steam issue from my ears.

      • Does Theron not know the international signal for “do not approach me”? HEADPHONES. Even if you’re not listening to anything because your battery is dead. This is something even serfs like us know and employ. I used to work for a cruise line as an entertainer, and would run the decks in the evening. People always recognised us out and about and wanted to chat, which is part of the job, but not so handy when you are trying to work out. Headphones make it easier to not engage. Get some ear buds Charlize, FFS……amateur.

      • holly hobby says:

Really I think common courtesy and manners have gone down the tubes. In my grandpa and dad’s era, people will say good morning to each other while walking down the street. No snark there. Even my dad lamented how manners no longer count anymore (try having someone give up their seat on a bus for a pregnant woman or an elderly person – ain’t happening).

This is the same situation. How hard is it to acknowledge someone? I’m not talking about carrying a conversation with a stranger. Someone says “hi” you either smile and nod or say “hi” back. End of story.

      • ol cranky says:

while Theron was there to work out, she has no right to expect any degree of anonymity. Mowry wasn’t talking smack about what she did during the workout or anything like that. If you go to a gym class, it is completely unreasonable to pitch a fit or be rude if someone, politely, has the audacity to say hello to you. If she thinks Mowry is a “nobody” she should have treated her the same as she treated any other nobody and just smiled, politely returned the greeting and went about the business of taking the class or working out or whatever.

      • Lucinda says:

So what’s interesting to me is the assumption that Tia is telling the truth. Of course it’s easy to believe because Charlize has a reputation already. If this is true, then Charlize’s reaction is over the top even though to a certain extent I think it was really tacky of Tia to then go running to the tabloid. I agree that there were 100 different ways for Charlize to handle an unwanted greeting. However, I kinda think in this situation they were both jerks. But if what Tia said isn’t even true, then Tia is the ass here. Not Charlize. For once. BTW, I admit that I still love her as an actress. I know she is an ass and with other celebrities that makes a difference to me but I guess I just have a soft spot for her.

    • Bucky says:

Charlize has always been an asshole. Sean Penn didn’t change her; he met his match in her.

    • Lisa says:

This story is 100% untrue everyone. She has been in South Africa with Sean for a movie since before the other story broke. Not possible for her to come into Soul Cycle making demands. Tia Mowry has also backtracked on the original story saying it was blown out of proportion and she loves Charlize. Charlize actually has a good reputation for being like one of the guys. She just doesn’t like the tabloid press and they take it out on her. Sad that people believe everything they read.

    • farah says:

Um E news just clarified that this story is completely untrue. So you can get off Charlize now and stop believing everything you read. All this hate over nothing.

  2. Abbott says:

Who would’ve thought Sister-Sister would get the best of Charlize?

  3. K says:

    What a rude, entitled b!tch.

  4. PunkyMomma says:

Charlize, honey, go get membership at “IDon’tHaveASoulCycle” and leave Tia alone. Go on . . .

  5. Pumpkin Pie says:

If this is true, I will never watch Charlize Theron movies again, don’t care if her parts are big or small. I do not award mean-bitchy behaviour. She should get over herself.

    • TheEntrepreneursWife says:

+1. The list of celebrities I will no longer support is getting longer by the day.

      • Cali says:

Same here. There really seem to be so few who are genuinely nice people. Their carefully crafted personas start to crack after a while..

      • laura says:

I also heard Sandra Bullock was not the nicest :(, same as Cameron Diaz, Scarjo…
Only few of them…but those are real stars:
-Angelina Jolie (always gracious with her fans) and Brad Pitt
        -Meryl Streep
        -Gabriel Byrne
        -Helen Mirren

      • elo says:

Aww man, I’ve heard Sandra Bullock was super nice. I know a few people who have met her and my uncle and her have a few mutual friends, I’ve always heard nice things said.

    • megs283 says:

Yeah – I REALLY wanted her to be nice…sigh.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Doesn’t that just stink? Happens to me all the time.

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

        @GNAT
I was so sad when I found out that Kevin Spacey was a massive a-hole. I LOVE him. But after that interview he did with Playboy (or Esquire–whichever one, it’s one of the most recent interviews with him on this site), where he talked about his AAAARRRT….while doing crap like Horrible Bosses..just ugh.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Noooo! I missed that? Is there anybody left who’s nice? Wah.

      • Lady Macbeth (Hiddles F.) says:

        @Virgilia

I know, I loved him too. Add Gary Oldman, I thought he had become ok… after Playboy interview, not that much 🙁
List of biotches and a-holes is endless by now… It would be easier to list the celebrities who are ok lol

      • Chris says:

        Laura
Cool list, they are pretty much my favourites. Can I add Colin Farrell? I so enjoy his interviews and chatshow stuff I see on YouTube.

  6. Mimi says:

She’s been a witch since day 1. Her first agent laughed at how he saw her screaming at a poor bank teller because he wouldn’t bend policy for her. Red carpet photographers said she’s worse than Sharon Stone ever was and they all hate it when she walks the carpet. Lainey complained about her behavior in Toronto back in 2007. There’s a YouTube video of her acting like a witch to fans who want her autograph at an airport and who could forget her infamous charity date thing where the 140 million worth Charlize would rather go on a date with a “rich people can be creeps, they can rape too” than pay 50,000 to charity herself.

Of course her story was so inconsistent the poor guy probably was somewhat awkward and Charlize being the witch she is interpreted it as “this guy wants to rape me” and decided to humiliate him on national TV.

Oh yeah MikeTheFanBoy also has said she’s one of the rudest celebrities at movie premières and he’s met Julia Roberts, Sandra Billock, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence….. all the big celebs.

    • BangersandMash says:

      Too true… Tooo true!!

She’s been this way since day 1!!

Do you remember the Chelsea Lately interview when she was talking about those gluten free cup-cakes. How she said something like, “I gave them to my maids, not even my maids would eat them, not even my dogs.”
AFTER she had passed them around to a small group of people to touch, and prod and smell and left them collecting dust someone in her kitchen, then she tries to feed her (essentially by now,) leftovers to her maids. The same maids who are in her mind, one tear higher than her dogs.

      • K says:

No, she didn’t?! What a scumbag! Ugh. Officially boycotting that piece of sh!t!

      • Maria says:

        @BangersandMash:
my mouth was open for a long time after she said that. so casually on a national tv show. “not even the maids” and before that she of course put in a “i love them” like we should congratulate her she isnt freaked out by people cleaning up her dirt and then she drops this bomb. what a horrible thing to say.

i would be offended if someone said that under their breath in a private situation, but Charlize really thinks its normal to say that publicly.

      • starrywonder says:

Oh dude. I remember that. It was so awful. I cringed for her.

      • Jane says:

Ok any white south Africans out there? I have met a couple here in L.A. And they are so weird! The guy got into a bar fight in Vegas recently and I have distanced myself from them since they have no concept of what is the what. I mean isn’t she from there? Hate to generalize. but seems like a backwards society, issues with social equality etc. not to mention Oscar Pist.

      • whateveryouwantittobe says:

As a “maid” I guess, I find this hilarious. Let me just say that it pays to be nice to your “maids”. All the people I work for who treat me like family – I have their back and am there in a second in case of a home or family emergency. It’s much nicer to have someone caring for your home than a disgruntled employee left alone in your house.

I feel sorry for anyone who works for her if she’s really that bad though, it can be a very uncomfortable situation being in someones home who doesn’t want to acknowledge you.

      • ol cranky says:

@Jane I can just imagine what your opinions of what the US and “Americans” would be like if you just met a few and assumed they are a complete and accurate reflection of our entire society.

    • Adrien says:

All the stories I’ve heard about Theron from industry insiders weren’t good. She deserves Sean Penn.

  7. Kiddo says:

Sorry, but I have this music running through my head. Good thing Tia doesn’t have a little dog, or does she? Uh-oh.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4kiXh8YOzk

    • Kiddo says:

The entire thing seems so overly dramatized. It’s all a bit silly. If the worst thing that ever happens to you is being snubbed by Charlize Theron, then life is pretty damned good. If you have to get your knickers in a bunch and have someone banned from a spin class, then you have serious issues and don’t understand the entire Streisand effect.

This seems like a Bieber thread, in terms of maturity level. all around.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

Thank You. I’ve said “hi” to people before and not been greeted back.
I didn’t let it ruin my day. *shrugs*

      • FingerBinger says:

@Kiddo and @TOK I have to agree with you about there. People can really overreact. Charlize was rude she’s not out clubbing seals or harpooning whales. I also have said ‘hi’ to people and didn’t get a response. I just kept it moving. I didn’t whine about it.

      • Kiddo says:

Pretend I’m rolling my eyes at you and saying, “Oh God”. Just kidding, but really, I think Charlize is probably an A-one bitch, but it’s certainly not a life-altering event.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I used to work for this guy who wouldn’t speak to me in public unless he was alone. I mean, I worked for him every single day, and often ran into him on the street during lunch. If any of his peers were with him, he’d just act like I didn’t just walk by and say “hi.” I lived, I even thrived. Life went on. He continues to be an a$$hole, and I continue not to care.

      • Kiddo says:

@GoodNamesAllTaken, But that’s different in that you actually knew him, he wasn’t a complete stranger, but you were STILL able to carry on.

It does look a little desperate bringing the story to a rag mag, looking back on it. Have a little dignity.

      • Naye in VA says:

What? She’s isnt the one trying to get Charlize banned Charlize is trying to get HER banned for talking abou tbeing rude. And Tia just mentioned the story. She has enough of a career currently where she is interviewed on a regular basis. Not to mention two television shows.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

@Naye-I think Kiddo understood that–she was making the point that all the people involved in this story seem to be a bit over-dramatic about a pretty innocuous and minor event.

      • Kate2 says:

I think this is a good point. Charlize may be a rude bitch but Tia is no prize for blabbing about it publicly. Grow up.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Right, Charlize was a total jerk to behave that way, but Tia blew it out of proportion.

      • Josefa says:

I don’t know exactly what she was asked (the article doesn’t direct to the exact interview) but I’d give Tia the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps she was asked if she has ever felt looked down on by another celebrity (or something among those lines) and in that case I don’t see why she would have to lie about it. It never striked me as Tia whining about mean people but rather telling an anecdote about one. She didn’t preach about how nice she is or anything.

      • jaye says:

I don’t think Mowry felt the incident was “life – altering”, she was just relaying a story. Also, what was the context of the article overall? Was she being interviewed and a question about her having interactions with other celebs, or did she sell the story to In Touch?

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

I have no idea and TBH, I don’t care.

This story is THAT irrelevant to me.

Maybe I’m just immune to rudeness or maybe I’m rude myself (am I? You can be honest with me, ladies!) but I truly don’t GAF if people say hi to me or not. I suppose if I had a choice, I would prefer that people don’t say hi. I’m a city girl who lives by the “if I don’t know you then please don’t talk to me” rule. I learned to not engage with strangers my first year living in Boston.

Also, I cannot STAND it when people try to chit-chat with me at the gym. I’m there to work out, not to socialize. Just call me Charlize I guess.

      • Josefa says:

Eh, I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree on that. I was raised with the “being nice is easier than not” mentality and I live in a big city too. But someone not greeting me back definitely hasn’t ruined my day. If I were asked, however, about people being rude to me, I don’t see any reason to lie about it.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

OKitt, I have never seen you be rude. I don’t think disliking meaningless chitchat is rude, it’s just a preference. I hate small talk with strangers on planes, for example. I don’t really care if you’re going to visit your daughter in Ohio. Wish you the best, have a great time, but I don’t want to hear about it.

      • Lucinda says:

This is what I don’t get. Even if what Charlize did is true, why run to the tabloids about it? Are you that desperate for attention? Do you think anyone cares that much? (Although apparently people do). I get she has a terrible reputation but this story just struck me as so odd and reflected more poorly, imo. on Tia than Charlize.

    • Kiddo says:

Why would anyone ask if another celebrity ever looked down on her? Where would a question like that come from? I’m not saying she’s a terrible person at all. It’s just that it hurt her feelings, but it should have been something to shrug off and forget about, make a mental note, but definitely not relay it to the tabloids.

      • Josefa says:

It’s just the first question I came up with. Maybe they said something like “do you feel fame takes the worst out of people”? Idk. The point is it was an interview, not a press conference. She was answering a question and probably wouldn’t have ever told that story if the interview had not happened.

And I don’t see her feelings getting hurt or anything. It just doesn’t come across to me as whining, just telling an anecdote.

Tia is very self aware and low profile. She probably thought it was no deal if she told this story because few people care about her. Heck, even I forgot about it until this story came up again. You know, it’s quite possible she’s in agreement with all of you this is nothing to get mad about.

      • Kiddo says:

Here’s my perspective, by calling Charlize “mean” and telling the press about it, at least in print, she sounds like a dejected worshiping fan, “I know how to approach celebrities”, sounds like an outsider. In that sense, she has given Chralize the power twice; the first time, being dissed, but lesson learned, the second time by telling the story which only solidifies that it bothered her and that Charlize had the power to reject her.

It isn’t going to do a thing to Charlize’s box office draw so, in essence, all she did was call attention to the fact that she wasn’t accepted in the A-list club. Why bother doing that to yourself?

Mumble “bitch” under your breath, tell your girlfriends and go on ignoring Charlize at the gym, or give her the stink eye now and then, whatever, but don’t dignify the treatment by even bringing it up. Or better yet, just forget about it. It’s not worth thinking about or rehashing.

  8. Godwina says:

I hope every “civilian” “nobody” “random” (and all those other horrific words) CT meets laughs in her face for the next year.

    • Christin says:

Maybe do an eye roll and drawn out OMG when they see her.

    • Size Does Matter says:

I hope I never run in to her and forget that she’s not to be spoken to and say hi. She’d probably try and have me arrested, given that I’ve never been famous, not even for a minute 20 years ago.

  9. lucy2 says:

I can understand being annoyed by another celebrity running to In Touch with a story about you, but also, maybe that’s what she gets for being rude.
If she tried to get her banned (I don’t know that I believe that part) for talking, how is she going to deal with the gym employee now talking too? Sounds like Charlize needs to find a new gym or work out in the privacy of her own home.

  10. paola says:

You can be a bitch, being bluntly evil and horrifying honest but if you own it you have my respect.
If on the other side you are a bitch but you want to keep it under covers because you don’t want people to find out .. then you deserve all the backlash you get. Sneaky bitch.
Sean Penn might rub off some of the nastiness on her but you have to be an a-hole to start with and she checks every box on that list.

  11. NewWester says:

Considering the stories that are online about Charlize and also Sean Penn. Why is this story bothering her so much? Just ignore Tia the next time she sees her at the gym. Do what many people do at the gym, put on some headphones and listen to music( or pretend the music is on! )
Going to management about this is just making Charlize look like a mega bitch

  12. MonicaQ says:

Wow, I didn’t know her part in Snow White and the HuntsThor was an autobiography.

  13. Lauren says:

I would be so much more excited to have a Sister, Sister sighting than to spot Charlize out somewhere. Hahaha Who didn’t watch a little Sister, Sister in the 90s?

    • megs283 says:

ITA! I would recognize Tia. If I saw Charlize, I’d think “is that someone famous…? probably not!”

    • Greyson says:

      Yep!! I loved that show.

    • Josefa says:

TOTALLY! Meeting one of the Mowry sisters would definitely make my day. My whole week, even. Sister, Sister holds a very special place in my heart.

  14. lisa2 says:

It’s always easy to blame anther person for someone else’s behavior; in this case Sean Penn. There is a reason people are attracted to other people. I think the main reason is we see something in that person that is similar to ourselves or they have a personality we wish we had.

Sean is what he is and everyone that knows anything about him knows his history. I don’t blame Sean for Charlize if this is a true story. I don’t care how horrible a person is they can’t make another person behave outside their personality unless those traits were there to begin with.

  15. Talie says:

Like I always say, look at how close she got with Chelsea Handler — two peas in a pod.

  16. mystified says:

Hopefully, her career will fizzle in the same way as the much more talented (and prettier) Robin Wright’s did when she was involved with Penn.

BTW couldn’t be happier for Wright’s current well-deserved success.

  17. Katie says:

“Hangers on”? Honey, please. She said “hello” and you were bitchy in return. I highly doubt she will be hanging on to anything related to you ever again. The more you scream “don’t you know who I am” in whatever iteration you prefer, the worse you look and the more publicity you give Tia.
We definitely know who you really are now.

  18. Dany says:

Should this story be true Charlize should have simply quit the gym membership after Tia talked to the tabloids. It´s way easier than pushing someone out who likely will run to the tabloids again with the next bitch-story.

  19. dorothy says:

Agree with mystifired, careers don’t fare well at all when a woman is associated with Penn. Have always thought Charlize had a #itch on wheels attitude.

  20. jwoolman says:

I’m still amazed she thinks she has any privacy in a spin class. Can’t she just do it at home?

    • PunkyMomma says:

@jwoolman – you bring up such a good point. I’ve often wondered why these poor put-upon celebs go to the gym in the first place. Just set one up at home and hire a personal trainer to come to the house.

  21. lem says:

seriously charlize can afford to have a spin studio in her residence and hire the greatest spin instructor to come to her home. she needs to get over herself.

    • PunkyMomma says:

Oops just saw your comment. Totally agree with you.

    • bondbabe says:

That was my thought. If she doesn’t like peasants coming up to her, perhaps she might consider having a private personal trainer come to her home where I’m sure she could convert an extra closet into a gym and do her spinning there.

  22. Rhiley says:

I think Charlize wants very badly to be seen like an Anglina Jolie type figure, but she is no Angelina Jolie. Among many other things, Angelina Jolie wouldn’t engage in a petty back and forth with Tia Mowry. Even her sweet son seems to be a prop for her because after seeing the video of Hopper Penn spouting the “n” word to a paparazzi with his dad not 5 feet in front of him, I feel that Charlize really must not care if her son is in harm’s way. I just don’t understand why she would want to be associated with people who drop the “n” word like it is nothing. Crazy.

    • Greyson says:

I agree. She is very inauthentic.

      • FLORC says:

Really? Because there’s moutains of evidence to show AJ and nice, polite, curtious with no evidence to say she’s mean other than tabloid vague rumors with no actual sources. Usually in the same issues as pro Aniston articles too. Go figure. They’re not even being sly about it anymore.

Just try to find 1 article that states cources and dates/locations that says Jolie was a flat out b…. to people. I’ll wait:)
If you can’t this rumor should be put to rest. Too often people will repeat incorrect information knowingly just because they can.

      • Greyson says:

That’s a really spirtied defense of Angelina Jolie but you completely misread my comment.

I was agreeing that Charlize is trying to be LIKE Angelina Jolie but is failing. CHARLIZE is the unauthentic one.

      • FLORC says:

Sorry, comment went to wrong posting.
        Meant for Rhiley, Not Greyson.

      • Chris says:

Greyson: I am surprised by the liaison with Sean Penn, who for all his faults is pretty right-on politically, whereas CT betrays many attitudes you’d think unacceptable to a radical proselytiser. The heart has its reasons and all that , but there seems to be fundamental differences in their views, and that’s where the purported Angelina-isation seems to come in, if true at all….,to bolster weak parts in her perceived socio-political awareness. I reiterate: “If true” ….may be nonsense of course. Still, an odd couple to me, even if they do share an interest in rudeness!

    • eliza says:

I doubt Jolie would have been at SoulCycle in the first place but if she had been, I doubt she would have been a rude jerk to someone else to be going back and forth with them. I am not a Jolie fan nut but I do think Jolie does not treat people badly, especially ones who are polite to her and wanting to be friendly.

      • Leaflet says:

        @ eliza,
I agree with you 100%. I highly doubt that Angie would have been a B#%&* to Mowry. I believe she would have SMILED and said HELLO, and if she wanted some privacy, she would have made a joke about being a mom and needing her “me time” then they would have both laughed at and understood. And Tia would have left the gym thinking that Angelina was a rock star and one of the nicest celebs in the world and totally respected her privacy. Tia totally understands privacy because she’s a private person.

    • Rhiley says:

@Florc– you completely misunderstood my comment as well. I never meant to imply AJ is rude to anyone. I think she is a very gracious and genuine person.

      • FLORC says:

        Rhiley
I reread it nd see where I made the error. Sorry!
Still, Is AJ seen as an ice queen of sorts or more a powerhouse female in hollywood?
CT just doesn’t seem kind imo. Sure she pays for meals when people wish to comp her, but that’s pretty small. I might have high standards for humanity though.

  23. Marvin says:

Spin class is so 2005 …

    • Sozual says:

      Bike riding is extremely healthy.

      • AlmondJoy says:

The hubby and I just recently made bike riding a goal of ours! Thanks for giving me further motivation 😊

      • Sozual says:

        @AlmondJoy

Yeah, I am working on a non-profit program. The exercise…just biking. I just bought a stationary bike for the house..lol. I am very excited. I get it Monday.

Please stick to it..lol. I am praying for myself to do the same. Just listen to music. We know how to work it.
We all use to ride bikes in the 90’s and earlier.

        Cheers to GREAT HEALTH!

  24. eliza says:

I would be embarrassed to admit I was going to SoulCycle in the first place.

I don’t doubt the story. At least I want to believe it because I have never liked Theron and feel ,based on the many stories that have circulated over the years ,that her fan base has long ignored, that she is fully capable of petty, diva-like behavior.

If she is so upset over gossip, then maybe don’t act like a witch, or go to a different location or work out at home.

    • FLORC says:

What’s wrong with SoulCycle? I was a sub instructor there once. They really do it up to seem swanky and have fantastic routines. Did you have a bad experience?

And loads of ladies there are complete divas.
If anything Charlize should be mad at the employees that leaked this info and go to another location.

      • eliza says:

No offense meant. I just found it to be a bit “cult-ish” Maybe the particular one had a pack of horrible people, and my opinion is colored by that. It just was not my thing and I have heard others having my same experience.

      • FLORC says:

I get it. Spin classes are tough at 1st. Everyone has their own bikes and own clicks inside the class. You have a leader at thhe front shouting numbers and commands at you over very loud music. Some people might even give you a side eye for bringing sneakers instead of cleated cycling shoes.
These are all spin snobs. Sadly, much of it is like that to an outside observer. And it takes awhile to crack that barrier for some.

Some spinners won’t even say hi to me until I take the instructors bike. Then i’m their bff after class.

Plus, SoulCycle with their scripted workouts and motivational quotes to fit in, candles, mood lighting, and overall feel you’re walking into some ritualistic ceremony was weird for me too. But the money was great! So, i’d deal with it again.

I hope you still spin because it really is awesome. And sometimes you just need to show up, keep to yourself and get it all out on the bike.

  25. Greyson says:

“Nobody” who was famous for a minute??? Charlize can suck it!

Here in America most people our age remember the Mowry sisters from their hit show that ran several seasons and the Disney movies they made. They come off as sweet and down to Earth. Her dissing them makes her sound like the b**** she is.

    • Naye in VA says:

Tia has been working steadily for the past almost decade. She was on 3 season of BET’s The Game a Mara Brock Akil show, she and her sister have their own reality show on WUN? Lifetime? and now she stars on the Nickelodeon show Instant Mom. So’s she’s doing pretty okay for a “nobody”

    • Leaflet says:

Yes they were very famous but nice and sweet as well. Sad that Theron thinks she’s above everyone else. It’s crazy, even if she was just a common fan wanting to say hello, we now know for sure that Theron would be a total B!tch to them. To think fans are the ones keeping her career afloat even if one of them is a “minor celeb”. Ha, sad.

  26. Christin says:

A little ‘nobody’ certainly seems to have rattled her cage. A little nod of the head when she was spoken to might have averted all of this.

To expect anonymity from other patrons in a gym is ridiculous. Does she expect the gym to implement a no speaking rule or have patrons sign NDAs? Has she ever heard of hiring a private trainer?

  27. Kushkins says:

As a South African, I am so disapointed in Charlize. In general, you should be not rude to people. But this is so childish and immature of her trying to ban Tia from the gym. Grow up Charlize!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. FingerBinger says:

This story sounds a little made up to me. “This nobody who was famous for a minute 20 years ago can complain to the tabloids about me but I can’t expect you to protect me from hangers on in your studio?” I swear that sounds like a line from some fanfiction.

    • Ka says:

Yes, I agree. This sounds like some over the top All my children dialogue. I believe the original story. Not this follow-up.

  29. Jaderu says:

“This nobody who was famous for a minute”
Bish please!!! She’s one of the Twitches!! If it wasn’t for Monster and the Oscar nobody would be saying hey to her in a gym.

  30. starrywonder says:

Man she needs to let it go. I hate to tell her that if you go to a public gym no matter the price people may actually (gasp) speak to you. If she doesn’t want to deal with it, hire a personal trainer, and work out at home. You have a right to privacy and if someone comes up to you and says hi all you have to do is say hi back and get back to working out. If Tia had started getting in her face and acting like they were best buds or something I be on her side. But the woman said hello. Man she’s awful.

  31. AlmondJoy says:

It wouldn’t have killed Charlize to say hi. Even on your worst day, a smile or a wave is better than not speaking at all. The fact that she’s trying to get Tia banned takes it to a whole new level though. Ridiculous.

  32. Skyr says:

Her sister Tamera dated Seth Macfarlane. Maybe it’s like high school, and Charlize has to hate both sisters…ok that’s made up, but if this story is true, then how high school, seriously.

  33. AlmondJoy says:

Sidenote about Tia: She’s not just the star of Sister, Sister from years ago. Tia was on The Game, a successful tv show, for seasons 1-5. She was nominated for a NAACP Image Award for that show. She also has her own show on Nick called Instant Mom. She’s pretty successful, in my opinion.

    • Josefa says:

Yeah, I’m always catching her on TV. I’ve heard she’s pretty big in the African American community.

I think people are just not used to child stars growing into healthy adults with consistent work.

  34. Ann says:

Well, not matter what happened: any woman voluntarily dating Sean Penn must be psychologically impaired. Yes, I think less of Robin Wright etc. for having dated this ugly fool.

  35. Leaflet says:

I totally believe this story. I totally believe that Charlize is throwing her weight around to try and prove to Tia that she is the “B@ddest B!tch”. SAD (in all caps) because this is just pathetic. Tia did say, on an eonline interview, that interviewers keep asking her about it in interviews though, and that it was no need to keep it going. Tia smiled about it because she, unlike Theron, was born with a conscious and is likable and affble as well.

  36. mia says:

It doesn’t surprise me that Charlize acts like this, but if Tia ran to the tabloids, it makes her sound extra thirsty for some press.
Also I love the blaming of Sean Penn.
    Blame him for everything.

  37. feebee says:

This story is not surprising. As many have noted, Charlize has always been a bit of a bitch. I find her personality a nasty piece of work whenever I’ve seen her being her, from interviews to her appearance on Top Chef. Sometimes she veiled it but only with chiffon but she’s not even trying at this point.

  38. Eazypeazy says:

I sort of feel like her character in Young Adult IS who she is

    • Katie says:

Perhaps that’s why it’s been her most convincing role to date, IMO. Well she also did a pretty over the top job in SWATH…

  39. Dany says:

When Buffy´s husband bitched against Mr. 24, people here were calling him unprofessionell.
Tia bitches against bitch Charlize. Isn´t this unprofessionell too?

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

To be fair, Tia and Charlize never worked on a movie/tv set together. That’s the difference.

  40. jonB says:

story seems bs to me , It would be more believable if it was jolie

    • Kim1 says:

How’s the weather in Costa Rica?!

    • TheRealMaya says:

Jeniopath alert – no matter how hard you try no one will believe Angelina is a bitch.

In fact Angelina has been voted one of the nicest and down to earth celebs in Hollywood by fans, press, paps and even non fans. Everyone who has worked with her only has nice things to say about her as well.

      • jonB says:

TheRealMaya the paps she pays to stay relevent

      • Mrs McCubbins says:

There’s plenty of stories about Angelina being a stuck up bitch. Whether they are true or not is anyone’s guess. Did you ever see the video of her at the Academy Awards a few years ago when she was being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest? I really think the Jeniopath name calling is extremely immature by the way.

      • TheRealMaya says:

@MrsMc: funny how you never critize people who call us Brad and Angelina fans Brangeloonies. Why is that? Is it because you are a hypocrite?

As for the Ryan interview – that interview was done during the time her mother was critically ill and admitted to the hospital – she died a few weeks later. Despite that Angelina wasn’t rude in any way – she was just quiet. Ryan himself apologised later when he found out what happend to her mum.

  41. Lydia Says says:

I would take whatever Dish Nation is saying with a grain of salt. I Like Tia but it was petty for her to take her grievances to a tabloid regardless of whether Charlize was rude .Running your mouth off to the media about something so inconsequential screams “attention seeking” to me. Some people in my office don’t say good morning to me, I don’t go running off to HR about it. So she didn’t say hi back, why make an issue about it? I will give Charlize the benefit of the doubt this time.

    • may23 says:

I was actually surprised that she decided to dish about another celebrity like that. Most of them stay away from bad mouthing one another unless they do that on purpose which makes me think Tia did.

    • Francis says:

      +10000

  42. kri says:

It’s cracking me up that Tia Mowry has just outed Charlize Theron as Regina George. Or should I say “Kraken”?

  43. may234 says:

I’m thoroughly enjoying this: Charlize is mega star and apparently a mega B@#$!
It’s lovely how she doesn’t do anything halfway 😉

  44. Whatever says:

You know I really think it’s time for her to go away. Same with Reese, Julia, etc etc. Once these woman get to a certain point in their celebrity they start phoning it in and believing there own hype. I find movies with great writing and unknowns to be most enjoyable. If we could just get more of that instead of remake after remake after flipping remake…(Mad Max) This goes for men too, Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruse all need to just go away and make room for talented young actors who are hungry for it.

  45. lisa2 says:

My perception of Charlize is so different now. NOT because of these incidents or her “friends”.. but when she was with Stewart she was on my all time favorites list. She has such a air about her. She was very private and I really liked them as a couple. When they broke up she kind of “came out”. and I have not felt the same. I read her interviews and watched her on Show and she was nothing like I thought she was. I especially disliked her attitude during the promotion for Prometheus. Her flirting toward Fassbender was eyerolling. He seemed very uncomfortable as well.

I said before that I think this is exactly who she is. She reminds me so much of Katherine Heigl.. I don’t know why but she does.

    • The New Classic says:

Damn I forgot she was with Stewart Townsend for A WHILE. I love him and find him super hot but I can’t help but side-eye him for staying with an alleged b!tch on wheels for as long as he did.

  46. Sayrah says:

I always liked CT too but it sucks hearing someone you liked is really an entitled bitch. I felt the same way about Shania Twain after she posed for pictures with st Jude kids but they were instructed not to talk to her or touch her. Wow, way to take advantage of kids with cancer to promote a caring image when you’re anything but.

    • lucy2 says:

Wow, that’s awful! Better to simply not go than to go and be snooty to the kids.
I think CT is a talented actress and incredibly gorgeous, but definitely not someone I’d want to hang out with! It is a shame she’s not a nicer person, a little kindness goes a long way.

  47. Jane says:

Goop is less stuck up and icy than this bitch. Charlize was always like that and loves to put people down, watch her interviews she always looks as if she’s a second away from an eyeroll.

  48. Lola (Lolita de las F.) says:

Is it bad of me to WANT to know how this ends?? I read the initial article and thought, ok …. Charlize T. can (as we all can) be rude … but now I’m …. oh!!!! Charlize T. is a w/itch! True, they are both there (in theory) to exercise – some people go to the gym to socialize, let’s be honest – and you can politely say to another person at the gym “hi!” without starting a convo … and you don’t need to be going to In Touch Magazine (if what they write is true) … but to escalate this like that … I am not blaming Sean P., that is just ridiculous. You give people ample time and they will show you who they are. How will this end!!! – Right now I just think this is funny. Charlize T. did not need to give her any attention, could just have switched classes, or I’m I missing something here?

  49. anne_)00 says:

Tia shouldn’t have run off to tell the tabloids.
Charlize shouldn’t take group classes anymore if she demands everybody in the class to behave differently just because she’s there. She should take solo classes if she can’t handle being out in society.

  50. LeAnn Stinks says:

The first time I read this, I was disappointed, as I have always loved Charlize and think she is drop dead gorgeous.

However, the fact that she is stunning, a good actress and famous, doesn’t mean it gives her license to be rude, inconsiderate and condescending. She is a mother as well, and although her son wasn’t there, she needs to think about the example she is setting for him.

She needs to get off her high horse and realize she poops and farts like the rest of us mere mortals, and contrary to what she thinks, hers doesn’t smell any better.

  51. Lisa says:

Charlize has been in South Africa this whole time, so how could she have come in and started ranting? This story is false and originated with a tacky tabloid that makes up the most outrageous stories. Look at all the people who believe this. Tia Mowry has even come out and said the original story was blown out of proportion and she loves Charlize, but I notice the blogs don’t want to report that. They also didn’t want to report Sean Penn’s daughter saying she loves her father with Charlize, but they reported this made up story that his kids hate her. It’s scary how tabloid becomes fact to people. And Charlize has been in South Africa and can’t be bothered to respond to fake tabloid stories.

    • FingerBinger says:

@Lisa I thought the same thing. When the Tia story first exploded on the internet I thought that Charlize was already in South Africa. There was even a story about her going through the airport with an engagement ring on. So how she was able storm into soulcycle and demand Tia be banned when she was possibly in South Africa is quite an achievement. I said up-thread that this story sounds made up but people will believe what they want to believe.

      • Lisa says:

This is a lesson in how online gossip works because Charlize has been all the way over in South Africa long before the story came out. How could she storm into Soul Cycle from all the way in South Africa.

Yet Dish Nation, which has the most ridiculous celebrity gossip makes up this story and now it’s circulated everywhere and people believe everything they read. They want to believe the story though because they want to believe the worst about Charlize. She’s a strong, gorgeous, powerful, frank woman who intimidates people and doesn’t walk around with a fake smile on her face, so people assume she must be a b. The only negative things that have come out about her are from gossip blogs who won’t give her the time of day. The people who know her all say the same thing, that she’s like a cool guy in a beautiful woman’s body. You won’t consider her side of the story and you won’t get it because she’s busy celebrating her birthday in South Africa and filming a movies.

    • Jayna says:

The article came out with the interview with her this week, but that’s not when this interview was given, which was probably done weeks back or a month back. And Tia doesn’t say in the interview when it happened with Charlize.

Tia is backtracking now, but she can’t take back what she said. She said in the interview what Charlize said, “Oh, God,” and rolled her eyes. It’s overblown because she’s the one that dished in the article recalling her worst encounter with a celebrity.

Now, obviously, if Charlize is not there in Califonria the other story is false about coming into the club demanding they kick Tia out.

    • Lucy2 says:

Ah some facts! Thank you. I thought the 2nd part of the story sounded kind of made up.

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

As I stated above, I am a huge fan and I would prefer if this story wasn’t true. I was surprised when I read how obnoxious she came off and really hoped that wasn’t the case.

But, if there is an iota of truth to it, then I stand by my original statement.

    • Lady Macbeth (Hiddles F.) says:

      Lisa,

Charlize, as I posted above, was photographed back in LAX at the end of July. So the story could be true. The fact you like her doesn’t mean she can’t be rude.

      • FingerBinger says:

@ Lady Macbeth Charlize was not in the U.S. at the end of July. Posted comment above.

      • Gina says:

She was last in LA when she was spotted with a ring. She has been in South Africa since before this ridiculous story came out. It didn’t happen. It’s been clarified.

  52. mar says:

word is she is a major coke head and total biatch. Not Shocked!

  53. Estella says:

It’s sad the power gossip has. I am Team Charlize on this one. I am no celebrity but people are also trying to approach me at the gym. After dozens of incidents of responding with kindness, sometimes an imperfect human being just snaps. We know Tia ran to a mag to talk about this non-event which just happens to bring her new project much attention. We only have a source telling us Charlize made these cliche statements about banning Tia. There are three sides to every story: in this case Tia’s (which we’ve read), Charlize’s (which is rumor) and the truth (which none of us know). I support Charlize just because I am aghast at all the hate she is receiving. What wouldn’t she be bitchy if people are going to assume it anyway?

    • Lydia Says says:

@Estrella says. I agree with you. Unfortunately, when people hate you , they’ll believe anything about you, fact or fiction. This story from Dish Nation sounds like BS to me. I like Tia but I think she was wrong in this situation. What grown woman complains to the tabloids that she was snubbed by another woman? She clearly did it for attention . Charlize has been filming in South Africa for the last few weeks, when did she has the time to do this?

      • Lisa says:

And unfortunately people will believe the stupid Dish Nation story because Charlize doesn’t give a crap what people think about her, especially gossip bloggers, so we won’t get her side of the story. People will just go on believing a totally made up story because she’s not like some celebrities who care so much about their image they sue or put out statements denying things. She has been all the way over in South Africa and has better things to worry about.

The funny thing is I can picture a Charlize and Tia Mowry laughing about these ridiculous stories. Tia Mowry already said she loves Charlize and is obsessed with her and it was blown out if proportion.

    • Francis says:

I’m with you. I’m Team Charlize. I have heard that she is admired and respected inHollywood. During the Academy Award broadcast it’s obvious the Hollywood players hold her in high regard, she gets a premiere spot and is presented like a goddess. I think some just like hating on some of these gorgeous, famous, rich women. I notice with Blake Lively the claws come out too. If the woman is blonde ,rich and attractive …yikes the hate goes haywire. IMO

I have never heard one bad thing about Charlize. I don’t believe she’s mean,I don’t believe she does drugs, I don’t believe any of the sudden gossip spewed in these recent threads.
This woman has barely been in a tabloid.

If she didn’t want to say hi to Tia whoever, so what. Tia needs to stop being so sensitive and move on, not everyone is going to speak to her not do they have to,

  54. Leslie says:

I’m sure Charlize is a bitch in real life, but I do think she is out of town shooting that movie Sean Penn is directing. Unless this happened over a month ago. But the inconsistency is that Charlize went to the soulcycle employee after the Tia story broke, while Charlize is out of town.

  55. bettyrose says:

Really old news but I saw Charlize on a Comic-Con panel like ten years ago for Aeon Flux. The director and whoever else was there were really animated and having a blast with the audience questions. Charlize seemed to have trouble answering questions directed at her. She gave me the impression of a stereotypical “pretty girl” who deliberately plays dumb. Yeah I saw Monster but I still don’t think much of her.

  56. may23 says:

Honestly, I just see Charlize as a character on a whole, not even a real person whom I can or care to judge. She is incredibly beautiful and successful movie star and her personality can and should be somewhat skewed. She could be a saint or a bitch as it appears to be the case. Either way if she brushed me off like that I wouldn’t even be upset. It’s like being upset at a cartoon character. I think it’s rather fun that she has these idiosyncrasies…

      +1000

I think what’s more revealing is TIA’s response to someone not wanting to deal with her or speak to her. As if…..she thinks everyone has to. My mom told me when I was a teen , not everyone is going to behave the way you want or even like you. Move on, be secure within yourself.

  57. Gypsy says:

Tia just broke a Hollywood religious rule…..Thou shalt not rot out a fellow celebrity, especially if that fellow celebrity is more powerful than thou.
Now even Charlize Hollywood frenemies won’t trust having Tia on a movie set with them.

I think by this Tia is realizing that she should have not gone to the press with this, it won’t hurt Charlize but it will hurt Tia, everybody knew/knows that Charlize was no friendly social butterfly, she drinks, she curses and her best friends are males and Chelsea Handler…..need I say more.

    • Francis says:

      +10000

    • Leaflet says:

Tia’s not going to be hurt that bad. Tia’s career is on the small screen doing mostly black t.v. shows. I’m pretty sure those directors of color won’t give a rats @ss about what that rude blonde has to say. Full stop.

      • Gypsy says:

Unfortunately a lot of people don’t realize that it’s white investors who put up a high percentage of the money (some say as much as 80%) financing black TV and movies.
Also, most of these TV shows and movies are not only financed by studios and financiers but is also shot in Studio owned lots and using mostly white engineers and editing teams….So we really should not bring race preference into the equation when talking about how Hollywood does business.

  58. pnichols says:

Am I the only one who wants to throat punch Charsleaze when you see her face? That b**** needs a serious ass whoopin. She may want to check herself before she gets all smug about dating a guy who looks like a dried up, orange raisin. Just sayin. 😉

  59. Chris says:

Welllll….has anyone ever seen Charlize in the same room as The Prisoner Bride of Monaco? I think NOT!
So let Tia Maria or whatever her name is backpedal now, and declare she actually intended to greet Princess Charlene/Jolene/Windolene, and made a very natural mistake.

    • Francis says:

Oh sure a Prisoner bride who dated her Prince boyfriend for almost 9yrs and traveled the world during the 3 yrs she’s been married. Prisoner story of Monaco is so lame, just a outright lie. IMO Charlene knew exactly what she wanted.

Back to Charlize, I don’t blame her for not wanting to chit chat. I hate talking at the gym, I don’t speak a lot , I’m just thereto work out. Sometimes a person says. Hi and I say Hi back and move on, but then they want to engage in more conversation,so it looks like I’m being rude because. I just don’t want to talk. I’m just saying, I see nothing wrong with Charlize being annoyed, if she didn’t want to be bothered . Tia must be supersensitive if that’s all it takes to upset her and run to the press.

      • Chris says:

Take it easy, that was a JOKE!
        Jaysus, no feather-ruffling intended.

      • Francis says:

Sorry Chris, I know. I just get my own eye roll going on the runaway stories about Charlene of Monaco. I think the press went into overdrive and the story was found not to be true. She’s still there.proof in the pudding. No offense meant.

Here’s a internet Hug for you from me 🙂 Sorry.

      • Chris says:

        Francis
On the contrary, *I* apologise, both for a silly joke I should have censored, and then for disrespecting your reaction. Felt bad all day about that, so here’s a hug back, and thanks. x 🙂

      • Francis says:

        🙂 ok same.

  60. The Original Mia says:

Well this explains the Chelsea Handler friendship.

  61. Luci Lu says:

If she doesn’t want people to say hi to her, she can cycle at home. Instead, she decides to act like the hate-filled bitch that she is, and try and force a gym to kick another member out. She’s got a lot of nerve………and she was born in South Africa. Maybe in South Africa, a spoiled white person can get a Black person kicked out of a gym, but his is America. And to think, she adopted a Black child! Probably for publicity.

  62. YvetteW says:

If you don’t want to be bothered with people,, why ride a stationary bike in a public place? duh

  63. Francis says:

I see nothing wrong with what Charlize did, so what she eye rolled this person Tia. Big deal. Get over it Tia.
I’ve seen Tia at the hair salon in Beverly. Hills and she was annoying, running around the salon, had to be the center of attention. Jumping in and out of the stylist chair to go chat with someone and not caring that the same stylist had other customers with appointments which were being put behind schedule. She was annoying and I only saw her a few times in the place, but seemed hyper active ,attention seeking and utterly annoying.

Also Oscar Winner Charlize won’t suffer from this story., she has had a great career and is respected by Hollywood. Tia will. Other celebrities won’t trust her around them.

  64. LilyT says:

You goTia, well done! Don’t let that rude entitled b*tch get away with that despicable behavior. Charlize actin like her sh*t don’t stink.

  65. Francis says:

Tia acting like her crap don’t stink and everyone has to speak to her. No one has to deal with Tia, if they don’t want to.
I hope celebrities start ignoring her and she has trouble getting invited to things, because she runs to the press if someone looks at her or rolls eyes, big deal Get over it.

I hope if Charlize sees her she rolls her eyes again and laughs in her face. Go run to the press Tia crybaby.
Tia’s just using Charlize to get publicity.

    • Leaflet says:

      Really Francis?
Do you ever wonder why the world is so cold? Gotta look at the man in the mirror first. No need to be ugly. Anyone can see who’s in the wrong here. It’s really sad when people encourage ugliness against there common man for naught. Charlize simply reaped what she sowed. That’s that.

      • Francis says:

I disagree. Maybe it’s Tia’s desperate need to be acknowledged by Charlize which bruised her paper thin ego.

I was seated across from Tia at a salon, never did she look over at me and say HI, did I care NO, nor did I expect her to,nor did I care if she did, even though we glanced at each other several times during the salon visit. I think I just thought of her as one of the twins I didn’t even think about it until this round gossip, that’s how little it registered.

She didn’t run screaming to the Salon owner that I was mean and didn’t speak, because I was not some Celebrity, she wanted acknowledgement from. She didn’t care if I spoke or not. This is just because Charlize is a celebrity and Tia wanted to be acknowledged as another celebrity. Period.

Anyway E! is saying the story is false.

      • Leaflet says:

        @Francis,
Well, did you say hello to Tia Mowry, and did she become rude and obnoxious just because you greeted her? If not, then dear, clearly, it’s not the same thing. And from reading what you wrote about your visit to the salon with her, it’s no where close to this. If you wanted Tia to speak to you, maybe you should have said hello.

    • Bunbun says:

Wow, the amount of narcissism in your 2nd response would make a Kardashian cringe.

Sounds like you felt entitled that Tia should have responded to you. You probably think she was “lucky” that you deigned to trade glanced with someone who isn’t an A-list celebrity. Entitlement-minded narcissim; no wonder you take Charlize’s side

You truly sound like a terrible human being.

  66. Gina says:

    This story is made up.

    Update:

“Charlize Theron may have played an evil queen, but she isn’t going around lording it over people at SoulCycle.

In response to a report that Theron wants Tia Mowry banned from the celeb-favored spinning franchise in the wake of an alleged exchange-gone-wrong between the two of them, a source assures E! News that “this is totally fabricated and completely not true.”
So there you have it. Perhaps everyone can spin in peace now.
Charlize hasn’t addressed the reported feud, but that’s probably because there is no feud.”

    • Joh says:

      E News is gospel?
      Talk about spin.

      • FingerBinger says:

Dish Nation is gospel? That’s where this story originated from. You all had no problem believing them.

      • Lady Macbeth (Hiddles F) says:

        @FingerBinger

No, it is not, but it was not difficult to believe the story was true 😉 Charlize was never that nice anyway (starting with her fans…). To be honest, if you were reading that Russell Crowe had thrown a telephone in somebody’s face, would you believe it at the beginning? 😉

After she started dating Sean Penn I lost all the respect I had for her. I was never one of her fans but honestly as a DV survivor I would have thought she could have better judgement in her life choices. At this point it is even evident that maybe she didn’t even tell us the truth about her past.

About my posts above, sorry I got aware too late about the wrong dates, I couldn’t edit the posts anymore.

    • Francis says:

The thing about E! Is they are more truthful and have more access than some of the other major news sources. That place has direct line into these celebrities, believe me.
E has a very good relationship with celebrities.

  67. Kim1 says:

Poor Charlize I hope she doesn’t feel “raped” by this false story

  68. Jaquebelle says:

There are no phones or emails in South Africa. Was actually there a few months ago, so of course there are. Charlize could have simply phoned her concerns or written corporate and made demands. Am a spin instructor and can vouch for this popular method used by customers to register complaints. Perhaps her assistant did the dirty work. Gossip is gossip and fact-checking should ideally occur with regards to every story, but I remain a fan of outing rude celebrities. Kindness matters. One love.

  69. Kimberly says:

I used to like Charlize but after seeing her on the talkshow: Graham Norton show in 2013, I was TOTALLY turned off by her.

Jon Hamm and Steve Coogan were all guests on the show and Charlize gave me the impression that she was relentlessly trying to pursue Jon, even though she knows he married.
She was trying her best to get his attention and laughed scandalously at everthing he said whereas and she acted like Steve was completly invisible and was kind bitchy towards him.

That’s when I realized how stuck up she was. And she always finds a way to bring up her Oscar win. It’s like girl please, we already know. Jeez.

    • Francis says:

I saw that show. It seemed like a fun time, Jon was flirting with Charlize like crazy.
She and Jon were great on the show.

  70. Kimberly says:

@jinni………I’m remember the situation with Fassbender like it was yesterday LOL.

Charlize doesn’t seem to know her boundaries sometimes.
She’s soooo damn full of it.

I remember when she was talking about how Fassbender’s ‘Fassdong’ was a revelation and kept trying to flirt with him in interviews, even though she knew he and Nicole Beharie were an item back then.

Thank goodness he never showed interest in her. She’s not his ‘type’ anyway.
But his taste in women has became questionable after I saw him with Gerard Butler’s leftovers though.

  71. GIRLFACE says:

How do you mean girl Tia Mowry to begin with? She’s exhausting. This explains why it didn’t seem like she was acting too much in ‘Young Adult’. She won the Oscar simply because she dared to ugly herself for a controversial role and a very well-written movie.

  72. Mel says:

“Charlize is just pissed off that “this nobody” made her look like a rude a—hole”

Eh, no – she made HERSELF look like a rude a**hole.

  73. xoxokaligrl says:

I admit Charlize was rude… but hello just about everyone in L.A. is rude… Either there was more to the story or Tia needs to toughen up her skin…

  74. Gypsy says:

I just heard that when Charlize was supposed to have been trying to get Tia banned from “SoulCycle” she was actually in South Africa on her movie set. and also, Tia in an interview is now trying to walk back her statements and is now saying how much she loves Charlize Theron.

Problem is the damage is done to herself, by herself – Hollywood types never speak ill of each other even when on movie sets crazy stuff happens, they always use the go-to – “I really respect him/her talent and loved working with him/her” – Tia will now find it very lonely in Hollywood, not because celebs love Charlize but because they no longer TRUST Tia to keep their secrets.
