Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrived in first place at theaters this weekend as predicted. The good news is that at $65 million, TMNT didn’t do as well as most Michael Bay movies. I’m not shading star Megan Fox at all. It’s just nice to see that Bay can stumble every so often. His mindless movies usually earn so much money, but this one has only performed moderately well. Publicity stunts like these don’t always pay off. There will probably be a sequel, but this is not a mighty victory.
Megan is on board the Bay train for as long as she can ride. She already told haters to “f— off.” She’s mostly stayed on script for this tour with one minor stumble. She let it slip during an interview with HitFix that she was disappointed because “There was a lot of girl power that ended up on the cutting room floor, unfortunately.” Megan lamented a “really awesome” fight scene between herself and the Foot Clan that was missing from the film’s final cut. The scene saw her “kick so much ass.”
Some people thought Megan was falling back into her own ways. Megan clarified her comments to Page Six: “I wasn’t complaining. I was just talking about a scene that got cut.” There could have been so many reasons for this scene getting cut. Megan was upset enough to mention the missing fight scene, and I don’t think she did it in an offensive way. She didn’t call anyone names. This situation reminds me of how Shia LaBeouf said Megan’s “Spice Girl strength” affected her ability to get along with Michael Bay. Megan has grown as a person though. She acknowledged the dropped scene and then let it go. She’s finally learning to navigate the press.
Oh, I found this weird photo of Michael Bay kneeling in front of Megan in 2009. How ironic.

I still like her. She did bite the hand the fed her by criticizing Bay…. but she wasn’t too far off base in her assessment of him. He’s a pig and she called him a pig. And I like that she’s doesn’t overreach and pretend she’s a syrius aktress. Get that Turtle money, girl!
Lmao!! Get that Turtle money!! Classic 🙂
Wat?! that Dreamscape nightmare did well?! Ok, Now I’m convinced…people will watch anything…including grifting ass Michael Bay taking a proverbial poo on them
Not that great actually. It did not pull in what they initially were predicting which was initially $90 million. It’s going to drop off big time this week anyway. The Giver is coming out this Friday and I know a ton of my friends are going to see that.
Wasn’t expected to make transformers level money. It made more than all previous TMNT films combined. Also beat the Guardians film which is only in it’s second weekend. Not a Michael Bay Fan but got to give credit where credit is due.
LOL at “Dreamscape Nightmare”, I’ve missed you QQ! 🙂
Hi Boo Hi!! *waves* Mama has been Busssyyy!! *kissy faces*
@QQ I don’t think it has much to do with people just watching anything but more to do with people who have kids who loves these types of films. Most kids and teens don’t give a crap about whether it’s a Bay production or a Speilberg. If it interest them, they will see it.
As for Bay taking a poo on them, most people don’t know that he’s a douche because they don’t follow gossip and could care less about his personal life, they just want to be entertained.
I saw it and even though it wasn’t that great it reached its target audience. The kids in the theatre I attended seemed to have loved it.
She has bills to pay.
I like her, she doesn’t take herself seriously and seems to be a fun girl.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way she looks in that red dress, pre-plastic surgery 5.0.
She used to be so hot back pre surgery face.
That’s not her pre-surgery face. That’s like, Face 2.0 as compared to today’s Face Infinity. This is her pre-surgery face: http://beautyeditor.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Megan-Fox-Olympus-Fashion-Week-2006.jpg
Sounds like she has a legit complaint, but OTH you know what you get with Michael Bay. As pointless as has male characters are, his female characters are film parsely.
