Do you guys ever look at Liv Tyler’s Instagram? Go here to see it. She has a really adorable, fluffy little dog (it looks like a King Charles Spaniel) and she’s not constantly doing selfies. But! Since she went to work on The Leftovers, she’s been posting a lot of photos of her costar Justin Theroux. She’s been talking about him in interviews too, telling Andy Cohen that she was “distracted” by his bulge. I’m including some of her IG photos in this post.
So, what’s the big deal? Well, the tabloids are trying to make people believe that Liv and Justin might be getting “too close” and it’s driving Jennifer Aniston crazy. I heard those rumors months ago and I even studied the body language between them at the premiere. I’m not really seeing it. The basic gist:
Jennifer Aniston caught Justin Theroux with Liv Tyler, claims Life & Style. The tabloid claims Theroux has been “racking up alone time — on and off the set” with his co-star on “The Leftovers.” Their “coziness” made Aniston “explode,” says the mag.
“She went off on Justin and grilled him over the nature of his relationship with Liv,” a so-called “friend” tells Life & Style. “She seems to view Liv as the other woman — and she can’t stand her.”
The entire story seems to revolve around (1) the fact that Aniston’s ex Brad Pitt fell for his co-star 10 years ago, (2) Tyler’s recent appearance on a talk show during which she joked about seeing Theroux’s “bulge” during a scene.
A rep for Aniston says she and Theroux are totally fine, while a rep for Theroux denies the entire Tyler-centric story.
My opinion: Justin and Liv aren’t boning but they probably have a flirty, friendly relationship. I could see him having a work-crush on her, and maybe she thinks about it too. But I doubt it’s happening. Now, all that being said… I will totally believe that Jennifer freaked out about Liv. I always think of Jennifer as a pretty insecure person, so she probably hates the fact that Justin has a female friend that wasn’t pre-approved.
It should be noted that as soon as the Justin Theroux stories began heating up, Liv stepped out with a new boyfriend. She’s apparently dating a sports agent named Dave Gardner. He’s BFFs with David Beckham and sources claim Kate Moss played matchmaker for Gardner and Liv – you can see photos of them here.

I’ve had a best guy friend for about 12 years and never, ever, ever… When I needed a guy’s perspective, he was my “go to” guy and vice versa. At one point his wife was suspicious but she got over it.

Or when one is way out of the other’s league. Liv is way too private and too interesting for Justin, judging by his current girlfriend. Plus, as beautiful as she is, she doesn’t seem the least bit vain. No, he needs to stick with Aniston. They are a perfect match.

I agree. You almost forget that she had a pretty serious romance with Joaquin Phoenix back when she was 17/18ish. She is indeed discreet. I think she is very friendly overall and may be akinded to flirting but nothing more than that.
Yeah I agree as well, from the little I know of her, Liv doesn’t seem like the type. That said, I think they’d be kinda cute together.

I guess men and women cannot be friends without people assuming they are sexually involved. Couple that with everyone’s desperation to make sure the evil Aniston is a lonely spinster, Life and Out of Style fills the bill.
I am really loving The Leftovers. Last weeks episode was phenomenal. I am sad the season is almost over. Glad it will have a season 2.
Agreed. This sounds so manufactured. I have male friends, and I think it’s great that my husband has female friends. Sheesh. I was on the verge of giving up on The Leftovers, mainly because I was feeling weighed down by the constant darkness, but the different threads starting coming together in such a compelling way in the last episode. Excellent cast and storytelling!
It is dark and I go away feeling depressed and that is good, because it meansthe actors and writers are making me feel real emotions from the acting and storyline. I have become a fan of the show.

She survived all the shit that Brad and Angie flung at her. The divorce part was nothing in comparison.
Its not exactly surviving anything when your ex husband moves on and has kids when you got divorced because it turned out you didn’t want kids in the first place. It sucks, and sometimes people change their minds or simply didn’t realize what they did or DIDN’T want, but it’s not exactly survival there.

She is/was awesome as Patty. She really made you hate her and be annoyed by her. I was truly shocked how things unfolded last week. Can’t wait until Sunday!

A guy and a girl can absolutely be friends with no other attractions. I’m friends wih guys and have a husband. I don’t think of them that way at all.
It’s more of an outside perspective. Some people act like they’re in the early stages of flirting when making new friends. I can see how to an outside party it looks that way.
I doubt they’re hooking up. I do think they’re botth attractive, successful people and there’s some mild flirting, but nothing acted upon.
And Aniston created that image all on her own and Bee said. Her PR team and years and years of on off again relationships. Her PR team will always realease info on such or upcoming roles to their goto mags. US Weekly and People being the favorites because they get it straight from the mouthpieces. And that much is released when Pitt/Jolie news comes out it can’t be just a coincidence. Yea, it’s a carefully calculated image.
I like Aniston. She’s a great busisness woman and investor. And an ok actress in a great mash up cast. I think she’s clinging for the fame she use to have though.
I really could only see Justin starting an affair if The Leftovers was a runaway hit which it isn’t. He still needs the Aniston name and fan base. Still the way he dumped his ex I wouldn’t put it past him to do the same to Jen if and when a day comes that he doesn’t need her.

That’s what I thought too. His show is not the hit it was hyped to be, financially or critically. He has to do something to spark interest in it.

I think the plot would make a better movie than a series. 2 hours with a good script could make something very interesting and thrilling. I feel like in the series you have a million scenes where nothing happens.
They should have made a movie about the Leftovers this sitcom should have been canceled it does not work. There are too many other interesting things to watch on TV. Justin is not going anywhere he knows which side is bread is buttered.
Aniston’s fan base are not the target market for ANY Theroux type endeavor. He’s doing a totally different thing.
Aniston’s fan base may not traditionally be the target for a nihilistic drama like the Leftovers but it’s definitely helped the show to have the Aniston name attached peripherally. For instance People.com does a weekly recap which I can’t imagine happening with it’s middling ratings and almost nil cultural buzz if it weren’t for her connections.

Liv Tyler certainly seems like a nice person and she is really beautiful. The way she poses and her body style reminds me of a more mature version of Kendall Jenner. Not meant as an insult to Liv but they do have similar bodies and faces in my opinion.

I don’t know what’s going on with Leftovers. The only reason why I still watch it is because Ann Dowd. She’s no longer part of the show but I continue to watch in case they bring her back.

If you can’t take a little time out to plan your wedding, maybe you shouldn’t get married. You mean to tell me you’re too busy to plan the union between yourself and the love of your life? If I was marrying the love of my life, I’d clear all plans, if I had to, to make sure we married within 12 months. That “I’m too busy” defense is so weak.

Aniston has the resources and time. She had time between millers and her current filming. She’s taken a few vacations in that time. A wedding could have been taken care of by now. Seems like it’s being dragged out or postponed.
@Blythe…plus, I’m sure all these rich celebs hire someone to plan the wedding, and they just look at pictures and say “yes” or “no”…Its not like they are running around trying to buy centerpieces for the tables!

I think it was done for humorous purposes. if they did have something going on “on the side”, I REALLY doubt she’d make it at all obvious or even suspected by doing something like this. when you’re cheating, you don’t want to give anyone ANY indication of what’s going on.

I think it’s more that Liv has a work crush on Justin and it probably won’t go further than that. They do look like they really enjoy each other’s company.
I however, have always felt that Justin was on a “come up” when he hooked up with Aniston. I just get that vibe from their whole relationship. I think Aniston is into having him as a BF but I think he’s not necessarily head over heels for her, and find him a bit opportunistic. Especially when he dumped his long time GF really quick once Aniston came into the picture.

Jennifer cheated with Justin for months behind his then partner of 14 years. Jennifer even dared to introduce him as her partner to her co workers 5 months before Heidi dumped Justin. Liv actually mentioned Justin’s “lovely fiance Jennifer Aniston” on Watch What Happens Live. I watch it every night and saw the show. I’m no big Aniston fan (indifferent about her) I like Liv a lot, but honestly, I don’t feel like she’s Justin’s type. Just a vibe I get – I think he genuinely probably gravitates toward more high-maintenance women. Also, I have to say – I can’t really blame Jennifer for being insecure. Let’s be realistic – yes, of course it’s possible for men and women to be friends, but how many true male/female relationships do you know in Hollywood that haven’t turned into something more. The industry is a completely different world than we live in. I really can’t fault her for being insecure.
