James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain are both in NYC this week to promote The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, formerly Him & Her (two interconnected films). I was just enjoying these photos and I decided to pay it forward. James McAvoy is the imaginary boyfriend to many of you, so enjoy.
Jessica has been photographed a lot this week – there are lots of new photos of her out with her Italian boyfriend, but these photos (from Wednesday) are just of Jessica with her much-beloved three-legged dog, Chaplin. I can’t say that I’m loving Jessica’s current hairstyle. It’s not even just about the bangs (although the bangs are bad). It’s the overall frumpiness. It’s really dated and not youthful in the least. I’m also kind of wondering if anyone else is getting a pregnancy vibe from Jessica? Is it just a bad dress? Jessica also has a good interview with The Wrap that’s worth mentioning – she talks about the need for more female-driven, female-perspective films.
As for your boyfriend McAvoy, he was on The Late Show with David Letterman last night. He told the same story about his bachelor party, which he’s told many times before. He also said he gets mistaken for Ewan McGregor a lot. His Scottish accent is the bomb. SO HOT.
Oh, and McAvoy did his Ice Bucket Challenge last week. IT WAS HOT. Chastain did one too but I’m not embedding it.

her bangs are fine -not great, but fine. Dont know about the trend, but I think bangs are really working for lots of people. Like, some faces look distinctly better with them – mine, for instance!

I like the color, but unflattering, the ensemble make her look chubby, which I know she isn’t. I hate the bangs trend. I’ve never been big on bangs, but maybe that’s, because I like my bangs long, and bad short ones has a kid like JChas.
I can never stop chuckling when I see a fringe referred to as bangs. Wherever did that come from?
And bang means something entirely different here in the UK – and I don’t mean a loud noise (well perhaps!)
In the US, the word “bangs” are interchangeable with “fringe.” But, more commonly referred to as bangs. I’m sure there’s plenty more things that are silly we Americans do.
I was just born here. I think it’s funny when talking to Brits,I had the experience not long ago, and it’s easy to forget that Americans tend to use the Fahrenheit. We were talking about the different weather in different states. When I said the hottest it tends to get in my area normally is about 90 degree, rarely 100, his face, poor lad.
The difference make fun conversations though.
Do the Brits hate the American accents? I hate mine, I have a lame Midwestern Ohio accent.
Well people of a certain age (like me) are happy to talk in Fahrenheit, and feet and inches especially. Since decimalisation in the 1970s kids are taught in Centigrade and metres and centimetres (meters to you I guess). Of it gets to 90 degrees here it is headline making.
Can’t speak for other Brits but your accents vary so much as do ours that I like some and dislike others. I have trouble understanding people who come from the North East of England and the Liverpool accents sound as if they all need their adenoids removing!

Why do so many men wear trousers that are too long, often tight at the ankle so they wrinkle up and look scruffy?
I like Jessica. She’s really pretty and she was great in Zero Dark Thirty. And sorry but she doesn’t look pregnant at all to me. As Lucy2 said above, I find it annoying that everytime an actress seems to have gained a little weight she’s immediately suspected of being pregnant !

I don’t think she looks remotely pregnant. I just think the high waist makes her looks a bit chubby instead of her usual slim. She could just be bloated too.

I love James so much, every time I look at him I feel like crying, i can’t deal with this man, he’s utter perfection.
And idk why everyone is mad about Chastain’s looks, she’s just as beautiful as ever.
