We keep hearing report after report about Ariana Grande’s diva antics. She refuses to even hear the name “Mariah Carey” in her presence. She throws fits and threatens to “kill herself” if photographers use the wrong kind of light. She demands to be shot on her left side only. She shows up hours late. And when she was in Australia to promote her album this week, it got even worse. She issued a list of demands to all Aussie journalists wanting to speak to her, like they couldn’t ask her even basic questions about a possible collaboration with Justin Bieber, or her former kids’ show. When one photographer agreed to her terms and tried to photograph her, she demanded the photos be deleted and she walked off the set. When the photographer went to leave, Ariana’s goons threatened the guy in the parking lot. It’s amateur hour over at Team Grande.

So, when Ariana was doing a radio interview a few days later in Australia, she was asked about the diva rumors. Ha, I’m sure that “diva rumors” is on the list of “don’t ask” questions, so this radio station must have gone wildly off-message for Team Grande.

Ariana Grande has denied reports she is a diva, days after various Australian publications reported she cancelled a media photo call and ordered a list of OTT demands, including the requirement that she only be photographed from the left. Now Grande has spoken out about the claims during a radio interview, and denies all the allegations:

“I did hear about something just 10 minutes ago that was totally untrue and very annoying . . . There’s no record to set straight,” Ariana said on Australian radio show Mike E & Emma.

She added: “It was just a photographer or something who got mad at me because I left to change my outfit mid-photoshoot because I didn’t like my top and I was like ‘Oh I’ll be right back’. And then I came back and he had left and I was like ‘Oh s…’. He’s now… said all these ridiculous untrue things about me and I’m just like, you know what, that’s not real, that’s nonsense, my fans know who I am, my family knows who I am, my friends know who I am and that’s all that matters.”

Ariana’s manager Scooter Braun (who also looks after Justin Bieber) tweeted his support for the singer: “Ariana Grande is kind, caring, and more than anything she is a great human being. Some people make up rumours for a living…so…saying things about Ari comes with her now being a big star. But saying she isn’t a good person that ain’t gonna fly. There is zero truth to anything different. Enough is enough…”

Hilariously, every time Ariana’s people come out to deny the “diva” stories, there’s an entirely new story of her unhinged behavior. This week, Giuliana Rancic talked about what Ariana is like behind the scenes, and Rancic basically says Ariana DOES demand to be shot on her left side and her people are really aggressive and weird about it. Rancic also says “where there’s smoke there’s fire,” which is what I’ve been saying this whole time – if it was just one story, one report, maybe you could dismiss it. But it’s story after story, report after report. Ariana is a douchebag.
