Kanye West stopped a concert to yell at some people in wheelchairs

Kanye West is….I don’t even know at this point. I still think he’s funny and weird and a huge ball of narcissism, hypocrisy, insanity and genius. But I understand if you disagree. Kanye and Kim Kardashian have been on the road for the past week or so. They’ve been in Australia, where Kanye has been playing shows and Kim has been doing events for the Kardashian Kollection. During his Aussie shows, Kanye has apparently been ordering every person in the arenas to “stand up” while he performs. During his Sydney concert, he apparently stopped the entire show because a few people weren’t standing. As it turns out, they had good reasons for being “seated.”

He came under fire for demanding fans at his Melbourne show on Wednesday stand up ‘unless y’all sitting down because y’all handicapped.’ But during the Yeezus tour in Sydney on Friday night, rapper Kanye West went a step further, stopping the whole show at Qantas Credit Union Arena when two seated fans wouldn’t get to their feet – because they were in wheelchairs.

Fans at the performance confirmed the incident to Daily Mail Australia on Saturday after a series of Tweets about the moment flooded social media, with one saying ‘He wanted the crowd to stand up and couldn’t see why they were seated. Once it clicked that they couldn’t, he started the song.’

An eyewitness told Daily Mail Australia Kanye had refused to perform until the crowd were on their feet, saying, ‘I can’t do this song, I can’t do this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s**t. Imma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me, I’m very good at that.’

When the musician saw a concertgoer waving a prosthetic limb to explain why they weren’t dancing, he acknowledged them, saying: ‘Okay, you fine!’

But when another fan remained seated, he stopped the song Good Life, saying, ‘This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song, it’s unbelievable,’ before sending bodyguard Pascal Duvier into the arena to check whether the person was in fact in a wheelchair- which they were.

‘The crowd was also yelling that he was in a wheelchair but he waited for Pascal’s confirmation,’ the witness said, while others said the crowd made ‘wheelchair motions’ to alert the singer to his mistake. ‘When he sent Pascal up there he said, ‘He is in a wheelchair? It’s fine!’ the witness reported.

Other witnesses wrote, ‘Kanye made everyone stand up…. Berated a dude for not standing up… Stopped the whole show… Turns out the dude was in a wheelchair.’ Another said, ‘Kanye accidentally yelled at a dude in a wheelchair tonight.’

[From The Daily Mail]

I would have really loved to hear the rest of Kanye’s rant. I imagine it would have gone something like this:

I can’t do this song, I can’t do this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s–t. Imma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me, I’m very good at that. I got x-ray vision for people not standing, brah, you gotta stand. What’s that, man? You’re in a wheelchair? I don’t believe you because my genius rays are like Jesus Christ and Imma tell you that you should be able to walk when you’re in my presence because I can heal the sick with my mind, y’all, you need to get that. Walt Disney works through me and Ghost Tupac is up in here, making all y’all stand up, Imma give ya legs and like heal AIDS next. No, I’m not going to sing, dog. I’m not gonna sing until I cure AIDS and Ebola with my mind and everybody is standing. Imma about to drop some Jonas Salk up in here. It’s about to get real.

DONE.

Because he looks like a FOOL.

    • Josephine says:

On another site they showed a picture of him on stage yelling at people. And what was most evident is that the venue was 1/2 empty. He’s just an angry little man, and yes, a fool and more. You would think he would be decent to the people who actually showed up to see him. I guess it’s some sort of trend to want to be abused by the acts you pay to see?

      • arges says:

He calls himself the biggest star in the world. Yet he can’t even sell full stadiums LOL! He and Kim are nobodies compared to the real stars. Seriously, he should be more respectful of the fans who do make an effort to show up. I hope his career tanks even further after this.

    • Dilly says:

      Looks like???

  2. aquarius64 says:

I just can’t with this guy.

  3. littlemissnaughty says:

Is it horrible that I find this hilarious in a “Of course Yeezy would. What a moron.” kind of way? I used to be supremely annoyed by Kanye’s limitless narcissism but he’s gone so far that I can’t help but think it’s funny and a bit pitiful too. Oh, Yeezy.

    • Laura says:

Me too littlemiss, I actually laughed out loud. We’re bad people 🙂

    • Chocolate bunny says:

      Wow just wow!

      • Fan says:

I went to a a Rolling Stones concert last summer. The auditorium was packed and we were all standing and dancing the entire 2 1/2 hour concert. No one had to ask us to stand!

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

      Yep. Agree.

    • jane16 says:

Well, I don’t think its funny. My husband & one of my sons have one of the muscular dystrophy diseases. They have both had multiple leg surgeries and have both spent considerable time in wheelchairs. I have wheeled my husband and son to countless concerts (we go to a LOT of concerts), basketball games, Dodger games, and through NAMM show. The very thought of my loved ones ever being forced to endure such humiliating treatment makes me so f-ing furious, I can hardly stand it. Just when I think I cannot loathe these idiotic people any more than I already do, they prove me wrong. What a total scumbag.

      • JudyK says:

        Yes + 1,000,000

      • emmie_a says:

Jane16: I totally agree with you.
And maybe the author of this post could explain Kanye’s “genius” to me? It sounds like you’re buying the crap he’s selling, which is beyond SAD.

      • Trishizle says:

Agreed. I can’t imagine how humiliating it would be. Kanye should have apologised.

      • deehunny says:

        @emmie,

Kanye west is in fact very talented. He was already famous in the music industry as a producer and beat maker before he became a famous rapper.

WIth that being said, I would never buy a ticket to his show because this is flat out disgraceful. Someone had to waive a prosthetic limb?????? He’s gone crazy.

      • emmie_a says:

@Deehunny: I know Kanye has a small amount of musical talent — but that does not make him a genius. Far from it actually. There are tons of other people in the industry who have waay more talent than him. He tells you he’s a genius and some very dimwitted people automatically believe everything they are told.

      • StormsMama says:

        @ Jane16

        YES YES x1000000000

        Kanyeeeesus sucks

      • littlemissnaughty says:

@ emmie_a: Where did I say genius? And you completely misread my comment if you honestly think I’m buying any of Yeezy’s crap. But thank you for calling me sad, especially after not getting any of what I said.

@ jane16: Nowhere did I write that I find it funny that someone in a wheelchair was yelled at during a concert. What I do find insanely hilarious is just how far gone Kanye is at this point. He doesn’t seem to live on the same planet as the rest of us and seems to have NO concept of a) how to behave or think like a human being and b) realize that he is not the center of the universe. He is somewhat talented and very successful. That went to his head in a way I have never seen with a celebrity. You cannot possibly take ANY of the things he says or does seriously. OF COURSE he would yell at people in wheelchairs! Of course someone had to waive a prosthetic limb to get him to STFU. Is Donald Trump deranged? Is LiLo the mother of all crackens? YES! I wouldn’t put anything past him these days and THAT is funny.
The only person who was humiliated was Yeezy. He humiliated himself in the worst way. As he does frequently.

      • Lauraq says:

Littlemissnaughty-Emmie_A was referring to the author of the entire article. You’ll see in the text of the original article she calls Kanye a genius.

  4. 237 says:

Why didnt they take the chance?. When will they ever be asked my messiah to walk, again?

    • Jayna says:

      Post of the day. LOL

    • Jayna says:

This is the guy who cried and whined and tweeted about big bad Jimmy Kimmel making fun of his heartfelt interview until Jimmy brought him on and apologized. Now he’s bullying the handicapped and making fun of them in front of a huge audience until they PROVE to His Greatness that they are truly handicapped so that he can continue his show.

      How ironic.

      • Vampi says:

        @JAYNA…^THIS!!!..
I wonder how many “THIS'” I will find here? Probably too many to continue “THISSING” heh.

  5. CariBean says:

I will never understand how people can take this GD idiot seriously. I would love to buy a ticket just to dare him to make me stand, but in reality, I’d never spend a nickel on his bullshit.

    • Isadora says:

      +1!

    • Nicolette says:

Agree, and was there an apology of any sort falling out of his mouth afterward? He and Kim really are perfect for each other, two narcissists with gargantuan egos who think the world revolves around them.

    • reddy says:

i can’t believe people stayed any longer. it would have been amazing if everybody was just like ‘did he just…i mean…really?! screw him, i’m out’. and kanye would be left only with his bodyguard.

      • Jag says:

        I really wish they had!

If you do a search, the people who want to watch the video of the incident can see it. I’m not watching it so that I don’t give him a “video view” which could make him think he’s even more popular in his own mind.

    • SnarkGirl says:

I was thinking the same thing! I wouldn’t spend a dime to do it, but if I won tickets I would go, and sit through the whole damn thing.

  6. daisyfly says:

Evolution at its finest: a walking, talking douchenozzel.

  7. Marianne says:

Even if someone could physically stand up, they shouldnt have to, if they dont want to. Its kind of ridiculous to have your bodyguard go around and “confirm” whether or not they can get up.

    • 237 says:

Ikr. He acts like the audience has a job to do, when actually THEY pay him to do his job. Which he fails at, if he doesnt deliver just cauz he feels like it.
I do have hope though, he will be broke, soon. His endless desire for the most expensive of the most exclusive will eventually be his downfall. Plus, I think his fanbase is shrinking, which is all and only his fault.

    • Amy says:

Exactly! People paid good money to see this jerk (yuck), so if they don’t want to stand they shouldn’t have to. I have a bad back and wouldn’t want to stand either. Just because I’m not in a wheelchair doesn’t mean I want to or am able to stand up for a concert. He is such an insufferable fool.

      • Tifygodess24 says:

Exactly there are many people who have serious chronic illness that don’t look handicap or sick at all. What would kanye do then? He really needs to stop because this is NOT ok, It’s not even funny anymore. And he’s no genis I don’t know why people even entertain that.

And you all are right , Kanye is so self absorbed that he just doesn’t get it that people are paying to see him do A JOB. His job is to entertain , people are not paying him just because he’s kanye. The paying consumer of his show has more of a “right” to tell him what to do then the opposite. I am so tired of these id*ts being put on pedestals and treated like Gods.

      • JudyK says:

I have Scoliosis…no one who doesn’t know would know, but it’s serious and it’s inherited. I have days I get out of bed and can stand straight (at least straight for me) right away and days it takes me hours to look like I’m standing up straight instead of one hip jutting way to the right.

I quit attending church for personal reasons, but a few years ago when I went every Sunday and the minister would ask everyone to stand to sing or whatever, I just could not always stand that long and would not. And that was for a REAL messenger of the Lord…not this make-believe, self-pronounced, self-annointed, self-proclaimed moron who believes himself to be a deity.

Oh, I just cannot take it anymore. He’s insane.

      • Ange says:

My favourite part of being at the London Paralympics was when they announced the national anthems. I wasn’t sure how they’d do it but they made a very simple and classy announcement: ‘all those who are able please stand for the national anthem.’ So easy and inclusive, nobody was singled out and everyone then understood if people didn’t stand. Kanye has pretty much done… everything opposite of that announcement.

    • sunnygirl says:

I had knee surgery so recovering and u can’t stand up for to Kong so if I were at a concert were someone demanded I stand they would get a f_ _ k u and have a nice day. Especially Kane I can’t believe he called people out like that and had people foics there attention on and individual or individual who for whatever reason cannot attempt to do what someone of us in like take for granted and that is stand. Shame on him

      • Belle Epoch says:

Audience abuse!!! Why would anybody pay for this? WTF difference does it make if someone wants to sit down? He’s behaving like a dictator or tyrant who has lost his mind. “YOU WILL ALL STAND UP FOR ME! See those people waving fake legs? Off with their heads, too!”

        Bowing down is next.

  8. mint says:

Seriously, when will he stop being this selfish, narcissistic, psycho-freaking a**hole? I mean it´s not that hard being a reasonable adult. It just really isn´t. I just can´t with him or his wife or his wifes family anymore. I will boycott anything and everything that has to do with them. I´m so over it.

  9. lulu1 says:

    I would not stand up.

    Kanye would not sing.

    End of concert.

    • Aussie girl says:

Love it! You win the internet today!!

    • Vava says:

      Totally agree.

    • jane16 says:

      Right on lulu!

    • abby says:

      ITA.

I have never gotten the appeal of Kanye. I have tried because a friend was really into him and I just wanted to understand her “love”. Yes, he can put together some lyrics and a decent beat but that hardly makes him special. I am sorry but his repulsion factor far outweighs anything he could possibly do on stage.

And btw, I have only ever gotten up for two live performers – Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. And they did not demand it, their performances simply compelled it.

  10. Stephanie says:

Waiving a prosthetic limb in front of thousands of people at a concert. How humiliating.

    • Renee says:

Thank you. I was just coming on here to write that. I think what happened is actually kind of funny, his stupidity and narcissism, but then when I thought about those two people and how humiliated they must have felt to be singled out like that, through no fault of their own, it’s not funny.

      • Lucy2 says:

I know, I can’t imagine how those prople felt, having him screech the show to a halt and berate them until they proved themselves.

    • Mel M says:

Exactly! What an @**h***!!! Why do people keep giving money to this guy?! The way he treats people and how much he thinks of himself and he’s ridiculous wife is disgusting human behavior to me.

    • Tracy says:

      Exactly. Kanye is disgusting.

    • Elle Kaye says:

My brother was in a wheelchair, and if this POS did that to him, they would be pulling me off the stage. Of course, my brother was far too intelligent to go to a delusional creep’s concert.

He should be boycotted…or worse…he should be papped everywhere he goes until his head explodes.

    • Ally.M says:

I’m glad other people had the same thought. This is not funny at all. I have a disability and I can only imagine how they felt. It really sucks. He’s revolting.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

Kanye is an insensitive jerk, he cares only for his own feelings and doesn’t care about the feelings of even his own fans. But the image of some Aussie waving their prosthetic to get Kanye to STFU and start singing is kind of funny to me. Not for the embarrassment they must have felt but just the human, come on you twerp, I’ve proved my reason, get on with it mate.

    • Lauraq says:

It would have been funny, though, if the person smacked Kanye with his prosthetic limb, right? I’m not a bad person for imagining that and giggling, am I?

  11. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

    Good Lord.

  12. heidiho68 says:

Thankfully i cannot name one kanye song…how cool is that?

    • Petrichor says:

Very cool. Can I join your club? I’ve also never seen an episode of KUWTK, if you need the pot sweetened…

    • Tracy says:

      I can’t either! 🙂

    • Nicolette says:

I don’t know any of his music and don’t want to. I did however used to watch KUWTK when it first began *bows head in shame*. That poor judgement quickly ended for me thankfully and I came to my senses.

      • Petrichor says:

Good for you, Nicolette. The important thing is that you smartened up and moved on. 😉

      • mojoman says:

Is this the KK meeting where people can anonymously attend and confess they have watched through THE KARTRASHIAN show? I can proudly say I have seen 1 episode and vow to never them again!

      • Bob Loblaw says:

I’m guilty of the same crime Nicolette, I was innocent and confused and had no idea what they were like. *shudders* I came to my senses. I’m not only off of them and their show, I 100% boycott E! now, for thrusting this evil upon us.

      • Lauraq says:

My friend used to be into them and made me watch an episode with her one time. It was the one where Khloe and Kourtney find a bum in the dumpster out back of one of their stores. First they asked him to go away, but then they decided to be nice to him and took him home to feed him, bathe him, and dress him in Bruce Jenner’s clothes. I thought it was gross how they basically treated him like a pet, but I did think it was funny when poor Bruce came home and tried to figure out why there was a homeless man wearing his clothes sitting at the kitchen table.

    • Jag says:

Don’t know his songs, don’t watch their show, and don’t own any of their “products.” Also haven’t watched the sex tape. We’re doing well here, y’all! More people need to follow our lead. 🙂

  13. NewWester says:

Something is seriously wrong with this man. Could someone explain the point of him wearing that pasta strainer mask on his face?

  14. If Yeezus casts out your demons and commandeth you to stand, then you standeth!

Seriously, that was the best faux rant ever. If you had printed that and said it was legit, I would never have even questioned it. Good work!

  15. bns says:

I saw him live a few years ago when he toured with NERD, Lupe Fiasco, and Rihanna. It was so much fun.

  16. Chris2 says:

I saw this elsewhere last evening……and it looked like the bøllix had a flamin’ great slimy liver or other yeuchy organ on the stage in front of him.
Sure isn’t it a grand state we’re in, when ‘arrogant’ is way too puny a condemnation for a person?
    🙁

    • Kiddo says:

Holy crap, Chris, please translate that, although in spite of not knowing what the fock you are talking about, it’s hilarious.

      • Chris2 says:

        Sorry Kiddo!
Rilly, there was this dark, bloody-looking thing by his foot, like he’d just dashed in from an autopsy……Oh! Maybe his messianic magic involves pulling out tumours from the afflicted, like those travelling ‘healers’?

        Gawd….apologies for revoltingness…..
        🙁

      • Kiddo says:

Oh, pfft, lol. Here I thought it was a cheeky Brit description of him having a conniption, when you were being quite literal. I think, going forward, it should be a description of conniption, it’s perfect.

      • Chris2 says:

        Brilliant Kiddo!
        front page of internet:
“Justin Blubber reacted with a pouting,, expletive-filled liver when arrested for this week’s DUI/pavement-mounting offence”
        (the little bøllix)

      • Kiddo says:

Justin Bieber had a flamin’ great slimy liver or other yeuchy organ on the stage in front of him!.

  17. Rita says:

In my opinion, anyone who pays good money to see this clown is handicapped.

  18. JM says:

Kanye needs to remember he’s NOT Jesus, no matter how much he tells himself he is. He also needs to remember the people in the audience are his EMPLOYERS. They pay to see him *cough* perform so go on stage and do your F’ing job! If they choose not to stand just because you told them to, just keep singing or ranting or whatever it is you do that in some convoluted way constitutes entertainment.

  19. Tracy says:

This guy is a piece of work. Why anyone would pay money to be treated like crap by this idiot is beyond me.

  20. Ruyana says:

I seriously think he’s psychotic. I often wish the sign had hit him much harder.

    • Jag says:

Could his change from where he was actually a good performer – as people say – be due to brain damage? Did the sign hit him in the head?

      • Ruyana says:

The sign did hit him in the head. He walked right into it. But I really think his public display of crazy dates from his Mother’s death. I don’t know whether she kept him in line during her life and he was always crazy, or the crazy came out after he lost her (his anchor?).

    • Dilly says:

Ruyana, If you think HE’S psychotic, how do you classify his audiences that pay the big bucks to be treated like that?

  21. PreciousRobicheaux says:

He’s a jackass and should be ashamed.

  22. Deb says:

This was absolutely unacceptable. Whether people are in a wheelchair or not, who is he to say they have to stand up!?
I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I am not wheelchair bound unless I break lower extremities (which I have, more than 20 times, and end up in a wheelchair for months at a time; I’ve also had 50 fractures of multiple other bones), but I permanently wear braces on my legs, which people can’t see under pants, only if I’m wearing a dress or shorts. You wouldn’t believe how many times people have stopped me and yelled at me when I park in handicapped parking spots, which I have a permit for, because I “don’t look disabled”. I explain to them I have braces on my legs and break very easily, thus requiring to park closer, especially in rainy or winter (slippery) weather. I shouldn’t have to do this! I don’t even know why I do, except it upsets me to think people are telling me I don’t deserve that handicapped spot. What business is it of theirs!?
How does Kanye know that people don’t have disabilities that aren’t as visible as being in wheelchairs, let alone the people in wheelchairs he’s exploiting by pointing out their disabilities? I have trouble standing for any length of time without taking breaks to sit. People could have any number of ailments making it impossible for them to “stand and dance.” What a jerk. He sickens me.

    • MsMercury says:

      This

    • 237 says:

      Sorry for you deb. Sincerely.
I suffer from a skin disease. It grew out a little with aging, but its still there.
in school they played this game calling me scap and other insults. They pretended they got infected by me and needed to ‘vaccinate’ themselves with a pen, while making a stupid ‘needle-insert’ sound. They did it in class, teachers wouldnt know what it was about and join the game.
It is heartbreaking to be singled out with a disease you never asked for.

      • Deb says:

🙁 Kids can be so cruel. I’m sorry you had to go through that.
Adults still being cruel is, perhaps, even worse.

    • Tifygodess24 says:

Exactly !!! people have certain biases about what handicap looks like. I have a heart condition that makes it to where I can’t do a lot of things that people ( including myself before I got sick ) do everyday and take for granted. I understand what you mean when people think I’m faking or call me out or whatever because I look nice and healthy to THEM. I don’t think what kanye did was cute or funny because it affected real people that have to deal with being disabled on a daily basis and they already have an uphill battle in this society.

    • Syko says:

OI is a tough one, kudos to you for dealing with it so well.

I too have an invisible handicap (end stage COPD) and although I look big and healthy (especially big – ugh!), I can’t walk ten feet without gasping for breath, and I certainly would not be able to stand up and dance during a concert.

There are dozens of handicaps that don’t require the use of a wheelchair. He’s showing his ignorance here. But even if you’re not handicapped, shouldn’t you be allowed to watch the concert sitting in the seat you paid half a week’s pay for?

      • Deb says:

Yes, it’s pretty obvious he’s an ignorant man, and yes, we should all be able to sit or stand/whatever is comfortable if we buy the tickets. I would personally never buy a ticket to his concert anyway. They couldn’t pay me to go.
(sorry to hear about the COPD; that really bites.)

    • mojoman says:

I am so sorry you have to go through that Deb. It must be so hard for you to travel regardless far or close by. One genuine question: you have a disability, can’t you apply for a disabled parking permit/license? that way people will not give you a side eye or make a comment. I live in Florida so obviously lots of senior citizens/necessary applicants with handicapped sign on their license and in their car.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

She’s saying she has the placard and people give her the side eye because her issue is not obvious to them when she uses it. Unfortunately many people do abuse the handicapped parking privilege. My mother innocently suggested I use her placard but I explained to her that I can only use it when she’s in the car with me and she legitimately needs the handicapped spot.

      • Deb says:

Mojoman, Bob’s reply below yours is exactly it. I have a permit visible in my car, but I think people think it must be for someone other than me when I use it b/c they don’t think I “look disabled.”

  23. Kat says:

At first I felt bad for the people humiliated in the audience, but after I thought about it I really don’t. These are the people that support (and pay) this fool and keep him relevant despite his unapologetic douchiness.

    • Tifygodess24 says:

Rude. You do realize many people do not read gossip blogs / magazines …. so they have no idea what this man really does and doesn’t do in everyday life. Not to mention many people separate the entertainer from the actual person. I really dislike this man but To not feel bad for a handicap person who was humiliated is a bit harsh.

    • Isadora says:

We also have to keep in mind that – while that’s not the case in Sydney – there are places in this world where people practically go to every concert from every artist, just because it’s not that often such a thing happens in their city. I’m talking about large parts of Asia here. I once watched a backstage tour documentary from a band touring all the small places in Russia and quite a few teenagers in the audiences didn’t even know who they were, they were just happy that there was a concert.

But yes, I hope the people at this particular concert think twice now before supporting a person like Kanye.

  24. TX says:

    He is such as POS.

  25. joy says:

Ya know for someone who is always whooping and hollering about discrimination, he seems to have a prejudice against those with disabilities.

    • Ladymayhem says:

Excellent point! I don’t think he realizes that his fame and wealth distance him from experiencing much discrimination. It seems like he has a really bizarre impression of what hardship is, he thinks his tiny little annoyances are huge injustices. His delusions are rather fascinating. I believe he’s having a huge breakdown as he can’t handle the way people view his marriage. Appearing ‘cool’ seems to be of vital importance to him. He didnt release he’d look so foolish to the majority of the public, and now that he’s lost so much respect he’s started overcompensating and living in denial. He’s like a confused child who can’t understand why people don’t worship him. One day he will spontaneously combust from the inner turmoil created by injustice of it all, silly man.

If it wasn’t such a tragic thing to say it would have been the funniest thing ever.

  27. joe says:

What a d&*(, name one good song, or any song, or any song that will be remembered by this idiot. He deserves to to be married to a Kardashian, another group of insensitive, talentless morons. I would never pay to see this crap. I would have kept my ass in the seat and held up the concert until he pulled himself together.

  28. akivasha says:

    THIS!
I never commented on a Kayne post because…we all know why, but THIS! THIS IS THE LINE for me…anyone that can justify this “man’s” actions is just a little as Kayne himself is.
there isn’t a word in the English language that will fit this A-hole anymore. Maybe someone can let me know if another language has a word that can represent what a SMALL, NO CLASS, NO TALENT, PSYCHOPATH he is.
    Thanks 🙂

    • joe says:

Not a Kanye fan at all on so many levels. Look at the Foo Fighters, they go wayyy out of the way o appreciate what they have and what the fans give them…..just look it up on youtube, and they are much more talented than this idiot.

      • LaurieH says:

Kanye doesn’t appreciate what he has because he thinks he deserves it. He thinks he is a genius and, as such, is entitled to his wealth and adulation. Many performers are keenly aware that but for their fans, they would have nothing. Kanye is not one of them. He thinks he’s doing them a favor simply by existing.

    • Chris2 says:

      Akivasha….

      •A posturing, pusillanimous, pustulating polyp.
      •A graceless, gloomy gobshite.
      •A fantasising fistula.
      •A meretricious, moronic misanthrope.
      •A tremendous twonk.

(Do we think that if he were to shave of the bits of beard to the side of his gob, he’d at least look less sulky? He could extend the moustache into jolly upward ‘wings’ to twirl.)

      • akivasha says:

oh Chris2! I like them all and need to start remembering these for the next thing he does in 3,2,1…
        LOL 😉

  29. Hissyfit says:

    What in the actual f_ck?

  30. MsMercury says:

Just because a person is NOT in a wheelchair does not mean the person doesn’t have a disability or isn’t limited in someway. I know lots of people who cannot stand throughout an entire concert or have trouble standing, walking or dancing. I would have told Kanye no. He can’t kick me out for a ticket I paid for. I feel bad for those he humiliated at his show. He should feel like a fool now but sadly he probably doesn’t.

  31. Jaded says:

Hey Yeezy – I got an idea for you – why don’t you fill an arena with water and walk across it baptizing everyone into the Church of Yeeze. Anyone who can’t walk on the water and drowns is clearly not good enough or worshipful enough to be a member of your congregation.

    A**hole.

  32. don't kill me i'm french says:

Kanye and me are done professionaly ! He deserved to get his ass kicked! Idiot !

  33. Dawn says:

As long as society keeps letting him get away with this crap and as long as he makes money off of ranting he is going to keep on doing it. As long as people like Anna Wintour give in to his every whim he is going to continue to act like a spoiled child for the rest of his life. And Kim loves it all; it gives her more press as she spends his money in all the stores. These two are as pathetic as one is so narcissistic he thinks he is a god and the other one is such a sociopath that she will do anything to keep the spot light on her. It is shameful that either have fans. I hear Kim is now charging for meets and greets where the lucky buyer gets her autograph! How lovely.

  34. LaurieH says:

Years and years ago, I saw a funny skit on a comedy show (can’t recall which) that made fun of haughty, wealthy people. The point of the skit is if you tell a pretentious person that something is expensive, rare or genius, they will automatically love it no matter how stupid or ridiculous it is. They passed of a rotten banana peel as “art” and they all clapped like seals because they were convinced the artist was THE artist. They served them paper with ketchup on it and they gobbled it up with rave reviews because they were told it was prepared by THE chef. They all went out and bought Hefty bag dresses cinched at the waist with a Jethro Bodeen-style rope belt because it came down the runway designed by THE fashion designer.

This is how I feel about Kanye (and many others in pop culture). They become the “IT” thing and people rave about their talent, genius and beauty no matter how insufferably ridiculous they actually are.

    • Petrichor says:

Exactly. Like the Emperor’s New Clothes.

    • Ladymayhem says:

There’s a wonderful skit like that by Harry and Paul called I Saw You Coming, where rich people buy all sorts of ridiculous stuff at an overpriced store. One of my favourite lines is when the shop owner asks what a customers husband does and she replies “hedge funds?”. “And what is that is?” “Funding hedges? …We’re very rich!” …something along those lines.

  35. FLORC says:

Breaking News! Kanye said something ignorant and offensive! Wow what a shock.

His mother was the only person on earth keeping his ego in check. Once she passed he’s unaware of his choice of words and actions.

I get performers might want to get the crowd into a performance. Sing along, clap hands, wave a lighter slowly from side to side. Kanye just takes it too far. It’s less a suggestion and more a command. He’s drunk on power living in a world of sycophants. No one is drawing the line of right and wrong like his mother did. He won’t respect anyone like he respected his mother.

Kanye is in a position where people want to hate him. They want him to fumble. He makes it easy for those who already dislike his wife to find reasons to attack him.

Lastly, I remember something like this happening a Snoop concert I went to years ago. There was a section taken by some folks in wheelchairs. When people stood up they couldn’t see the stage. Not that I could either with all the haze in the air, but anyways… Snoop saw this and invited the whole group of maybe 10 or so people in wheelchairs on and to the side of the stage. It’s a sweet action like that Kanye could have done to end any bad press.

    • Petee says:

I am so tired about hearing that his Mom’s passing was the reason for how he is today.Even before she died he was a insufferable human being. He is a grown man and not a baby.He makes his own choices and decides how to conduct himself.I hope this is the kiss of death for his career. The video is all over the internet and people are seeing what a pos he really is.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

This is harsh, but if she were such a great mom would he be this out of control jerk now? Seems to me she probably spoiled him and convinced him he was the greatest and gave in to his childish behavior. Like a lot of other parents.

    • danilerad says:

Funny how you are always on Duchess Kate boards critizcing her for stupid crap, but you give a pass to Kanye West and Kim for their disgusting behaviour. I mean really? Making two disabled people trying to stand up and he humilities them in public like that? He is a disgusting human being. He was already a jerk before his mom passed away. Stop making excuses for these people. If Kate acted this way, which she hasn’t, you would be all over her boards trashing her. How he or his pig wife have ANY fans is beyond me.

  36. mata says:

He’s a walking Saturday Night Live skit. How can he not understand why people laugh at him?

  37. LAK says:

Trolling and narcissism at it’s finest.

  38. Amy says:

When he brings them all up on stage and heals them, I’ll pay attention.

  39. Fran says:

Don’t give this narcissist the attention he craves. The less we see/read about him the better off we ALL are.

    • FLORC says:

We’re all part of the problem. When threads get posted that get little to no attention they aren’t repeated. It’s about what brings traffic to the site. That is why there are so many Kimye posts. People can’t help themselves. They want to comment even if only to say how much they don’t like these threads or the people.

It would take a wide boycott of the threads on this site and that will not happen. Too many people love to post on Kimye threads. That’s why we get maybe 2 a day.

Want them to go away? Stop paying any attention at all. Ignore them and their articles outright. Nothing short of that will do the trick.

  40. NickT says:

Kanye is getting so annoying to me that i can’t even enjoy his music anymore. He used to be one of my top 10 favorite artists too.

  41. Lahdidahbaby says:

Kaiser, I agree with your assessment of Kanye: “I still think he’s funny and weird and a huge ball of narcissism, hypocrisy, insanity and genius.” I also think he went way over the line with this “Stand up” command , which brought to mind instantly Obama’s characterization of him as a “jack-ass.”

PS) Your imagined Ye monologue was pure genius! Omg, I think I hurt myself laughing.

  42. Amy says:

I don’t see anything funny about this. I understand he is egotistical, narcissistic, selfish, hypocrite etc. It was amusing for about 2 seconds but now it’s gotten to the point in which I don’t understand why he is still allowed to perform. He rants on and on about the oppression of Black people and how the fashion world doesn’t take him seriously. Okay, fine. He is part of an oppressed minority, this is true. You’d think he would have some compassion for other oppressed minorities, such as disabled people. These people face the challenge every day of having to live in an able-bodied world. Kanye is not physically disabled–he can dance whenever he wants, he can run whenever he wants, he can climb stairs whenever he wants and a host of other things disabled people can’t do (or have a hard time doing).

But of course not. Instead, he chooses to humiliate these people in a crowd for not being able to stand up and dance. I’m not sure if he does this for attention and tries to be controversial on purpose or if he straight up doesn’t understand that this is grossly disrespectful. I’m not sure why I expected more from him in this regard.

    • Petee says:

No it isn’t funny Amy at all.I don’t see any humor in this what so ever.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

Amy, I think he is very insensitive to the feelings of others and fails to understand the challenges that other people face in life. He’s spoiled and privileged and has never had to grow up. What he did was atrocious but I sincerely believe it came from his insensitivity to others rather than from any desire to humiliate someone.

  43. Ed Zactly says:

Whether handicapped, or not, should be the least of one’s decision concerns about standing. Having one’s head examined for attending at all, should be a preceding priority.

  44. hmmm says:

Bullying the handicapped? Isn’t there a law against that? The guy’s a thug and no genius. Doesn’t say much about his audience, either.

Can’t he keep that mask on permanently?

  45. YvetteW says:

Has he been tested for a brain tumor? Something is very wrong with baby boy. It’s not funny anymore.

  46. Kimberly says:

The crowd had to make wheelchair motions and tell him the guy was in a wheel chair yet he didn’t believe them, tilll Pascal confirmed it? LOL!!

He is just sad………his stupidity and narcissism amazes me my goodness.
I don’t even like Kim but I am trying to figure out how she puts up with him.
He’s probably more narcissistic than she is and at at one point in time I didn’t even think it was possible for her to find someone to out do her.

Not going to lie though this story is kinda funny.
No more like hilarious, especially the last paragraph………perfect interpretation of what he would say.
I’d like to hear a Kanye impersonator say that on a comedy skit. Ha ha!!!!

  47. jane16 says:

You guys should see KMZ. They have the video of this up. They refer to it as a “Wheelchair Mixup”, although you don’t see any disabled people mixing up their wheelchairs. They also claim that “Kanye clearly meant well”?!?!? The TMZ commenters are giving them the hatefest they richly deserve. Oh, also, one thing about this video that IS funny, there are tons of empty seats! Also, I think (as did a lot of the commenters there) that people weren’t booing the person in the wheelchair, it seemed like they were booing Kanye. Now, if only they will stop buying tickets to his concerts.

  48. JudyK says:

Not even reading the other comments before I say this: What a pompous, self-important, arrogant, stupid A$$HOLE.

Sorry, too incensed to read comments first. Now, I will go back and read others’ comments.

I hate these people–i.e., KKs and Kanye.

  49. Singtress says:

I’d love to introduce him somewhere:
“Ladies and Gentlemen! Please remain silent for the Greatest Asshole of this, or any, Generation!”

  50. Nabt says:

Kayne is an arrogant ahole and his stupid wife Kim is no better. He may write his songs but without his fans he wouldn’t have the money or the fame.. I think he owes this guy in a wheelchair an apology. Hes not God to demand that people stand up.. and for sure if I paid for my tickets I will stand when I want to..I have a special needs son and this pissed me off that Kanye treats handicap people in this manner.

  51. Josefa says:

I don’t even know why people still pay to see this guy. His concerts sound like a pretty exhausting and frustrating experience.

  52. SS says:

He must have such a low IQ it´s not even funny.

  53. Emily C. says:

Wait, this is the Daily Mail. Um, yeah, gonna need another source before I believe it. Not because I think Kanye is above doing something like this, but because… Daily Mail.

  54. Sozual says:

“he’s funny and weird and a huge ball of narcissism, hypocrisy, insanity and genius.”

I agree on everything except the narcissism statements. Narcissists are cruel and got throat. He is conceded though…lol.

  55. so says:

This story infuriates me. To me, he is 0% genius, 100% worthless piece of shit. I can’t listen to any of his songs anymore.
I wish everyone in the audience had shown their support to the two disabled persons by sitting down immediately and refusing to stand up.

  56. M M says:

You must admit, as a self-illustrating cartoon, Kenya Wets-his-pants is amazing.

  57. Chase says:

‘Attacking people with disabilities is the LOWEST display of power I can think of..’

    – Ignorance is no excuse to publicly humiliate people with a disability in front of 1000’s of people, I have honestly lost any form of respect I had reserved for Kanye West.

What does this represent to us as a society?

I am sick to death of the continual sweeping under the carpet in regards to the plight that disabled people have to face every day.

  58. Sam says:

This guy is crazy, he should just do porn movies for fame like his apparent fake wife did and is doing.

  59. DanaG says:

Cause being disabled isn’t hard enough without some idiot pointing you out from a stage and sending someone to confirm your really disabled. It would have been embarrassing and humiliating for those in the audience. And there is no excuse for this sort of behaviour. As for the argument people are looking to pick on Kanye? He makes it so easy doing such stupid things and making such stupid comments. The man is an idiot and I can’t wait till we don’t hear of him or his porn star wife again.

  60. amanda says:

Watched the video and it has sealed my hatred for Kanye. It was painful and I can’t imagine how hard it was for those people especially when the crowd was booing them. Kanye is a complete tool and someone needs to put him in his place.

  61. nisa1213 says:

I have a sense of humor but this is just not funny at all. I’m disgusted that he actually thought it was appro8priate to single out concert-goers with disabilities who came to see his show. Having to wave your prosthetic limb to be excused?! Right, because every disability is visible and just crying out to be highlighted in a stadium full of people. Smh, this is the epitome of narcissism. Say what you will about Kim (and there’s plenty) but even she knows you’re better off behaving pleasantly (or at least pretending) towards marginalized people.

  62. little_blu says:

The person had to wave their prosthetic limb for proof ?? Kanye has achieved something amazing – he is a parody of himself

  63. nochane says:

How would he feel if his daughter was disabeled and was treated by her favorite entertainer like that? This guy is a nasty human being. I cant believe he still has any fans and that there are people who would defend his actions. Kim probably is okay with him treating the people like that. Her own 18 year old sister likes to treat waitresses like crap and throws money in their faces. I wont feel sorry for any of them if they are going bankrupt or being kicked out of their million dollar homes. They deserve it.

  64. eatingpie says:

My friend was at that concert! He said Kanye started ripping at the two people in the wheelchair and everyone started boo-ing him, and then one of the handicapped people ripped off their prosthetic leg and began mockingly pumping it in the air. It was absolutely ridiculously hilarious. Someone actually had to tell Kanye that they were in wheelchairs and he paused briefly with an “Oh shit” expression before immediately launching into another song to deter the attention away from his massive, arrogant screw up.
