While Kanye West has been publicly berating his fans in wheelchairs, Kim Kardashian-West has been traveling Australia with him and doing publicity for the Kardashian Kollection and her reality show. I wish I could tell you that Australians don’t give a crap, but they do. Apparently, they love her and she has a big fanbase in Australia. I’m including photos of Kim doing a meet-and-greet at a store (her dress is Kardashian Kollection), plus some pics from her Instagram. She covers an issue of “Sunday Style” although the image is so Photoshopped, I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t recognize her. She also visited the zoo and posed with koala bear. The koala’s face is everything.
While doing press, Kim mentioned a few things of note (barely). Basically, the only interesting thing I found was this quote about Aussie women: “I love Australian women and their style is fun and vibrant and I see lots of colour.” That’s literally it. She says that traveling Australia with Kanye IS her downtime and she would love to bring Kardashian Kids Klothes to Australia and it’s all pretty boring – go here to read.
Someone mentioned yesterday that it’s looking like Beyonce might be pregnant twinsies with Duchess Kate this time around, and how that might upset Kim. Will it upset her enough to get revenge-pregnant? I hope so. Because I really don’t think she’s pregnant in these photos and I really want her to be twinsies with Kate again. And if Bey, Kate and Kim are all pregnant at the same time… YES. That would be so much fun.
PS… Her shoes look painful.

The color is nice and aside from the size being too small the cut of the dress is nice too.
The sausage casing jab is a great example. It’s only body shaming if it isn’t the popular thought. If everyone else agrees it’s simply the truth without body shaming.
“sausage casing” was a remark re the dress’ size and fit – not re kim’s body. i think she has a very good body that she tends to dress in ill-fitting too-small clothes.
Her dress is too tight, you can see the line at her waist and leg from the spanx underneath, that’s not body shaming, that’s what she is wearing. She would look so much better in this exact outfit if she dressed the body she actually has instead of putting on clothes and shoes that are too small and produce the “sausage casing” effect.
The dress is a gorgeous color but Kim would look a lot better with 20 pounds less on her derriere.

I recall not long ago that I expected her personality to match her looks – meaning I’d be mesmerized by what she had to say and what she did. I watched a few episodes of KUWTK and her on Dancing with the Stars and I couldn’t believe how boring and wooden she appeared. “I’m so excited,” said with no emotion. She’s an example of someone who appears more interesting in photos than in real life.

I’m certainly no fan of hers, but I think she looks fine in that dress. The shoes do look painful though. It reminds me of when she was pregnant and wore those sandals and Instagrammed the indent they left on her feet. OUCHIES.

When I go to Sears,which isn’t that often, the Kardashian Kollection is always 60-70% off. I also never see anyone shopping in that section either. These clothes don’t seem to sell. I don’t how they’ve managed to make this a worldwide thing.
I’m not sure they have, it’s a lot of talk. Only thing I ever heard genuine good buzz over was some of their makeup. No one I know buys any of their clothes. One girl I know wanted a “dash” t shirt but couldn’t afford the $300.00 price tag.

In the next photo it looks like cheap jersey that you’d find in a wear-one-season-then-toss tshirt from WalMart. The cut is awful – what is the point of the crotch flap? – and it has very unflattering sagging/wrinkling around the arm holes.
I shudder to think what they’re charging for this nicely coloured dust rag.

Yeah, I was just crackin’ smart ass for the fun of it, but this dress would actually suit her if only about one or two (or 3?) sizes up. The color is flattering and the dress is cute without stuff hanging out all over the place, like her typical look.

Fortunately for her, Yelliwshaba, the koalas at Taronga Zoo receive excellent expert care and medical attention, when necessary.
I was also rather surprised at the crowd sizes that gathered to greet her/them here in Sydney. Mind you, they were mostly 15-25 year olds, and since most have not yet achieved full brain development…. Thankfully, my plans to go to Westfield Parramatta that day were cancelled; there’s no way I wanted to be caught in that circus.
Several of my friends’ kids went to see Mr West in concert, and said it was a fabulous show.
These two, though…Ugh.
She looks all used up in that dress, too much make up and those shoes look painful. Her hair looks okay, not great but okay. She is so overexposed and boring. I can’t even snark about her because she refuses to change. She will always look cheap and plastic.
Every time I see a picture of her recently, I have the urge to be curled up in a blanket and sweats. She looks so uncomfortable constantly.
She looks better here compared to what she usually wears. I’m not surprised the Kardashians have fans in Australia. They are famous worldwide for being famous. My teen niece who lives in Singapore thinks the Jenner girls are the bomb. Apparently, they are very famous in Asia too.
Speaking of Kardashian Kids, that line is SO overpriced for the quality they dish. Leggings are $19.99, a dress is $39.99. They’re pricing it at Zara kids level but their stuff is pretty crappy. I was looking through it at Babies R Us and had to laugh – a faux fur vest for $45!!!
I think she looks really good here. I usually hate her style but the dress is a great fit and the color is very flattering. This is a win in my book.
So how do people in Australia know who they are but not in Italy where they got married? People in Italy thought it was a Kennedy getting married! kardashian is a never heard name of in Italy. They got zero coverage around the world for her wedding. I don’t think they are that famous. World famous stars are like Brangelina, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Beyoncé,etc.
If she can stage a wedding, then she can definitely stage all these so-called fans who are dying to see her! An Aussie here who knows of her, but they are not super popular here like this article claims to be. Def not a household name here or anything.

While I’m sure they have their fans here, the Aussies who like them/would bother going to see them/even know who they are are in the deep, deep minority in Australia. They are definitely not the huge deal I’m sure PMK wishes they were here.
Really? I’m in Melbourne and the Kardashians are just as famous here as in the US. Maybe not everyone has actually sat down and watched one of their shows, and I don’t think Khloe and Kourtney are quite as well known as individuals, but everyone knows who Kim is, even my 92yr old Grandpa.
She’s on the cover of at least one of the tabloids at least weekly and her perfume and bags and all her other crap sells well here.

They won’t be able to recognize her like with Miley or Beyoncé. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston are very famous here in Australia. Not Kim or her family really. Even lots of people here don’t know who Kanye West is either. Maybe that’s why limited people came to his shows.

so I got to hold a koala just like that when I was in Australia…. and I wanted to share this koala fact… it takes them 18 hrs to digest their food…so they enter like a stoned sleepy state while they do this… like us with turkey dinner overdose. So therefore the koala is “stoned” and luckily so, and still made that face… haahhaha. I know random post.
They sleep like 18 hours a day or something, koalas are always ready for a nap apparently.
Confession: I think the department store KKK line is pretty cute and a hell of a lot more wearable than the designer clothes the girls tend to wear. The shoes are usually pretty good, too, if a bit derivative.
This being said – that dress is a full size too small to look good. If she wore the correct fit, it would look adorable.

And the DASH store in LA is closing. Who said she is loved to Australia? They are selling nothing in US and are opening business whenever they can so they can write off these as business expenses in taxes. These shops are not profitable, they are just a smart way to write off things.
