Back in July, we heard that Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling were expecting their first child. The reports were weird, mostly because Eva has been keeping a very low profile for much of this year, so much so that many outlets claimed that Eva and Ryan were already done. By the time the pregnancy was sort-of confirmed, Eva was allegedly seven months along. Well… it looks like that was about right. She and Ryan have welcomed a baby girl.
Hey girl, indeed! Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcomed a baby girl on Friday, Sept. 12, multiple sources confirm exclusively to Us Weekly.
Us confirmed in July that Mendes, 40, and Gosling, 33, were expecting a baby together. At the time, rumors swirled that the Urban Legends actress was already seven months along.
Earlier this year, Mendes laughed off pregnancy rumors during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “It’s so ridiculous,” she said back in February. “It all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there’s a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out.”
Mendes kept a low profile during her pregnancy, making her last red carpet appearance at a Violet Grey dinner honoring the late Elizabeth Taylor in L.A. on Feb. 26. After news broke, she went to considerable lengths to cover up her baby bump with several pieces of clothing and a large bag while leaving a parking structure in L.A. on June 10. Gosling, meanwhile, quietly stepped out to pump his own gas in L.A. on Aug. 5.
Gosling doted on Mendes as the couple prepared for their newborn’s arrival. “Ryan goes out and gets the groceries. [Eva’s] been wanting pasta, and he’s cooking her meals,” a source previously told Us. “Ryan has already stepped into the role of caring father-to-be.”
Well, congrats to them. I can’t wait to hear the name. I bet it won’t be a flat-out insane name. My money’s on, like, Isabella Harper Gosling or something. Anyway, we’re now living in a world where Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are parents to a baby girl. Feel all the feels, Hey Girls.

I too have never been able to see what is so attractive about her. I think, individually, her features are pretty great. She has big lips, a strong nose and great skin. But together – I find her to be… bleh. Nothing I would categorize as beautiful.

Agreed. She is pretty, but sort of masculine looking at times and certainly not gorgeous. I still find her 1000% more attractive than Ryan, though. The fawning over him really puzzles me.

I think she did what Kim Kartrashian should have done, and not make an appearance while pregnant, having others do all your errands for you while you stay inside. Eva was probabaly a beautiful pregnant woman, while Kim Ho’ was just so fat and bloated and unfortunate looking whilst she was pregnant.
No one did because few care. If they were bigger or if she were bigger, someone would have gotten a photo or a something. Even when it was leaked, the world seemed to shrug.
I think they were SO low key that even the paparazzi forgot about them. I sure did. But it’s totally possible to go “underground”. If some of the biggest stars an do it, then Eva Mendes can do it.
More proofs celebs are seen because they want to be seen, Angelina Jolie disappeared too while recovering from surgery.

And I don’t think it’s strange, Brangelina are the prime example of being able to hide when they feel like it. Gosling and Mendes aren’t on their level so it must be even easier for them. If celebs want privacy, they get it. It’s really simple. If they don’t want it, they pop up although you can tell when it’s a photo-op or when it’s actually candid.
Dang, that picture of her trying to hide the bump makes me feel like an a*s for wanting to see it, it has to suck being photographed and followed like that. Good for them for keeping a low profile.
Paps were still able to get a pregnancy shot of both of Angelina’s pregnancy. I find it strange, there not to be one.

The difference is that it didn’t matter all that much since she was still doing public humanitarian work coupled with public political events. She never intended to hide away for 9 months. And Mendes who basically got outed because of her refusal to go through the scanner, clearly wasn’t planning on travelling much unlike Jolie.

That is definitely possblie, I’ve known a handful of women who’ve been bedridden for a good portion of their pregnancy.
There was one picture I think in July where she covered herself and totally didn’t look pregnant…

Rumor has it she was pregnant back in 2007, she was pictured exiting a pre-natal yoga class with a tiny bump, shortly after she entered rehab, maybe that’s why she decided to keep her pregnancy private this time around.

He’s attracted to her sexually, but there needs to be more than that for a relationship to last long term. I see him sticking around for a while because of the child, but he probably won’t stay around forever. I don’t think she ever wants him to leave. I think this pregnancy was planned by her for this reason. But I think it only delayed the inevitable.
