Madonna is directing a 30 minute movie that’s shooting now in London called “Filth and Wisdom.” It’s a vanity project like everything else she does and will be based on the self-absorbed pop diva’s experiences:

The pop superstar is making a 30-minute film entitled Filth and Wisdom, believed to be a comedy based on the star’s own experiences.

A source said: “Shooting has just started and it’s a chance for Madonna to showcase another of her talents. It’s just a short film at the moment but it’s expected to be a hit at film festivals.”

Madonna, 48, hopes filming will wrap by July when she is due back in the recording studio.

She said: “I hate to be such a tease, but you know how I am.”

The mother-of-three – who directed the TV advert for her M by Madonna clothing line with high street chain H+M – held acting auditions for the project last month.

Characters reportedly include an Indian chemist owner, a Jewish businessman, and a failed ballet dancer who becomes a pole dancer.

Madonna was seen holding back the tears outside of her trailer after a two hour lunch yesterday. She took pains to keep paparazzi away so they wouldn’t get better shots of her breaking down and was said to have told everyone to stay away.

There are rumors that her relationship with husband Guy Richie is in trouble, with Madonna and Guy spending lots of time apart. Guy has been seen out with his friends keeping late nights without Madonna, and is said to be against her planned adoption of a second infant from Malawi.

Madonna’s husband Guy is trying for a comeback. His directorial career has floundered since his fast-paced crime movies Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch way back in 1998 and 2000. His career took a nosedive when he put Madonna in the terrible film Swept Away in 2002 and has never really recovered. He will write, produce and direct a a low-budget gangster movie called RocknRolla this summer.

Madonna’s adopted son Davie Banda visited her on set yesterday. Despite saying she would let Davie’s father see his son while on a recent charity visit to Malawi, she had her people cancel a scheduled meeting at the last minute. At least she’s making some time for the infant while she’s working.

In case you wonder why Madonna wears all those Ed Hardy shirts, the fact is that her Kabbalah cult is a big investor in the company.

And I want to throw this in because that damn “She’s Madonna” song by Robbie Williams gets stuck in my head everytime I hear it. You’ve probably heard this already, but Robbie dated the woman who got dumped by Guy Richie for Madonna. When she told him the lame excuse Richie used for leaving her Williams decided to someday make it into a song.
