Fox TV Announced their fall schedule in the upfronts yesterday. There are several new dramas and comedies featuring well-known stars that look promising. Favorites like “House,” “24” and “Prison Break” have been predictably renewed, (with “24” changing course) while “The O.C.,” “Vanished,” and “The War at Home” are among the cancelled shows.

“The Return of Jezebel James” is a new drama from a “Gilmore Girls” producer featuring Lauren Ambrose from “Six Feet Under” and Parker Posey as a book editor.

The much-hyped comedy “Back To You” will star Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton as two Pittsburgh newscasters who get along on-air but fight off set.

Julianna Margulies will star as a tough DA who works to protext the innocent in the drama “Canterbury’s Law”

There will also be two new reality show “American Idol” spinoffs, including a “docudrama” about Nashville’s country music business and a battle of the bands.

Carrie Fisher will be a judge on the reality show “The Lot” which will audition filmmakers for a chance to win a $1 million contract. I’m not sure when it wil air as it’s not listed yet in the schedule below, but the 50 finalists have already been chosen for the show.
