I actually liked Matthew McConaughey’s GQ interview (go here to read), especially when he talked about his rom-com past and how that made him the man he is today. He’s not ashamed that he made those films, which is nice. And as a reward, so many of Matthew’s leading ladies came out to support him last night as he received the American Cinematheque Award. Seriously, almost all of Matthew’s former costars are women. It’s kind of nice. For the event, Matthew and his wife Camila were both wearing Dolce & Gabbana. Camila is a beautiful woman but this whole look is a NO. Matthew looks kind of rough here too.
I think Anne Hathaway finds it really difficult to incorporate bold colors into her red carpet looks. Her default is to always wear black, metallics or neutrals. She needs to rethink that. She wore this gothy Christopher Kane dress and I’m not really into it. I will give her this: she’s starting to grow out her hair and it looks fantastic.
Jessica Chastain in Givenchy. Redheads in yellow… I have mixed feelings. This isn’t the best on her but it’s far from the worst.
Reese Witherspoon in a Prabal Gurung. I really like this! I know, it’s kind of prom-y and girly, but I think it’s interesting and she wears it well.
Yes, Kate Hudson’s hair is actually a weird dishwater-pink shade. I don’t get it either. Her dress is Jenny Packham. It looks like the bust wasn’t tailored correctly, right?
Jennifer Garner in Dolce & Gabbana. Camila should have worn this! On Garner, it’s pretty and simple. I like her styling here much more than her God-awful makeup at the Elle event two nights ago.
Michelle Monaghan in Miu Miu, shoes are Louboutins. I like this. This is a great dress for an event in which you’re not the main event. Also: YAY SLEEVES!

Anyway, AnnE looks ready for an Agatha Christie play. MM looks ready for a shower and decontamination unit. Jennifer Garner is the clear winner for me in this round.

Why does his wife never look happy? As a former model she knows how to pose but she always looks grumpy. Maybe MM’s not so much fun to live with.

I think this black and the combination of the lace and what the lace is lined with make her look sallow and a bit ashy. Not a great look. Garner for the win.
Camilla is gorgeous but she lacks innate style and always defaults to the ticky tacky. There’s a Vegas showgirl in her that’s dying to get out.

Kate’s dress is nice, but it needs to be hiked up about two inches and her styling and lank pink hair are bringing it down.
These ladies are dressed like they’re going to different events, though. Jennifer and Michelle are heading to a luncheon.
J Hudson dyed her hair pink, along with her mum, for cancer awareness day/week or something!
I think Kate and Michelle were the best. I’m in love with Anne Hathaway current hair style. Tres chic! The rest were boring.
Anne looks so much better finally growing her hair a little longer. That boy cut did nothing for her. She has such beautiful hair, which looks great against her pale skin, so nice to see a l ittle length to it at least. Her dress looks so dowdy on her.
Reese is just meh, try-hardy.
The only two looks I love are Kate Hudson and Jennifer Garner. Camilla’s look is nice but I’ve seen better on her. I wish I could see Jen’s dress up close. There’s little things on it and I can’t tell what they are. I think in person, able to see the detail, that dress is probably gorgeous. She’s really looking great these days, except that bad makeup job the other day. I saw her on Jimmy Fallon and she was rocking a little black dress and looked so pretty.

I too want to get in closer to see what Jennifer’s dress looks like in person. It’s subtle and understated — which is what I adore.
AnnE’s dress is more than just dowdy. Lol I think it’s someone’s drapes gone bad! Lol

Kate Hudson is easily the best dressed for me. Everyone else looks terrible. WTF happened to Anne’s style over the last few years? She used to be much better at fashion and now appears to be trying too hard to be edgy. LOL at Jessica Chastain–wretched color, you can see her push-up bra/cutlets and laughing at her trying to forget that she ever cut bangs.

The only look I’m giving an “A” to is Kate Hudson…think she looks stunning, but I would not have known it was Kate Hudson w/o reading it was.
I feel like she is always wearing this dress, though. She looks good, but it seems redundant.

I loved her pencil skirts and tailored blouses in that movie. She looked so good in them.

I like Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner’s dresses best. I really like Reese’s red carpet styling lately. It’s the best she’s looked in years.
Jennifer Garner hands down. She can look so ordinary in her daily life but when she steps out on the red carpet she is just stunning.
I am one out of the teensy group of people in this world that just loooves Anna Hathaway. I just do. So of course I think she looks amazing 😉
Camilla Alves is one gorgeous woman! She looks great no matter what she wears!
I love Camila’s dress, but not feeling her hair and accessories. Reese looks great, not my favorite look of the night or that she’s had lately, but I still like it. Michelle looks great as well. Nice and simple but still stands out. I love Jen’s hair and makeup here. The dress isn’t my favorite but she still looks great overall. I have to give Kate the best overall look. She looks stunning and she can go no wrong with elegant, metallic dresses. She is always pulling them off. Love the pink in her hair too, it’s different.

I’ve been ready for AnnE to grow her hair back for awhile now. Besides her short hair doing her no favors look wise, I feel like it messed with her mojo or chi or whatever you want to call it.
You got that right. She got all that bad karma when she cut off her hair. I found her insufferable with the boy cut because it seems all her common sense and genuineness got dumped in the garbage along with the hair.
I hope she grows it back to her previous length. Maybe I will like her again!

I actually like Camilla the most! I love that D&G look, though. I think Anneis the next best, though the length is a little bit long. It’s a good look for her, though.
