Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson looked cute and non-clingy at the premiere of their film Marley and Me in London last night. Aniston wore a sky blue strapless dress that was casually elegant if a little too long for her. She paired it with sandals, a stacked gold necklace, and a great looking sparkling bracelet cuff with a concentric design featuring a large stone. I thought she looked great. I loved how Owen Wilson wore a pair of dark sneakers with his suit.
Yesterday the news came out that Aniston has a new interview with Elle Magazine UK in which she basically says it really doesn’t matter what she says as it will be picked over and taken out of context.
My husband brought me home a stack of magazines from his trip to England last week and OK! magazine’s UK edition, March 3 issue, has what’s presented as a “new” interview with Jennifer Aniston. I started to write it up, thinking it was a new interview and mentally damning Aniston for always giving similar comments that don’t provide enough new information for a story. It turned out that parts of the interview were word-for-word the same as an interview already published in Hello! Magazine last September – that I covered. Either Aniston gave the interview in a press conference or it was resold to OK!, which presented it as fresh to coincide with the UK Marley and Me release.
Aniston is right that her words will be skewed and misinterpreted. I found just one example of how they were repurposed in the same country. People will read that, though, and think “Aniston always says the same thing,” without realizing that it’s an interview they’ve already partially read. It took me a while to even figure it out and I typed up both interviews from the magazines.
I saw Aniston and Wilson’s “Wetten, Das” appearance over weekend and they were both incredibly good sports and dealt with it all with class. Aniston ate a dog biscuit after Wilson lost a bet, even though she technically bet against him and shouldn’t have had to do it. Host Host Thomas Gottschalk said that it was so nice to see a star who was “easy,” meaning easy going. That’s a good way to describe Aniston, even as the press tries to make it hard for her.
I dont like aniston but Ill be nice and say that the dress was cute on her but it would look ten times better if it was short to show off her best physical feature which are her legs. the little black coat didnt flatter the dress at all either.
To people in the UK who might want to see Marley & Me…it’s not worth it.
Adore that shade of blue (sky, tho’ on my screen, rather than baby blue) but not wild about the dress itself. But the colour’s great on her. Owen Wilson looks much happier here than in the German premiere ones.
Geronimo you are right, I am not that great on color labeling. I will change that and act like I thought of it. lol!
It looks like Wedgewood blue on mine *shrug*
Her blush comes up far too high, it’s practically underneath her eyes. It makes her look sunburned.
Also, is her skin always this tight looking or have I just not been paying attention?
It looks like Wedgewood blue to me, too.
She looks adorable despite the dress being too long. I thought she and Owen Wilson were great in Marley & Me, and I have to disagree with Lina — I thought it was a charming movie (though pretty emotionally harrowing at the end), and definitely worth seeing.
The blue color dress really brings out her eye color; it makes her eyes pop.
I loved all the outfits (especially shoes) JA has worn on her European tour.
She’s been very touchy-feely with Owen Wilson at the photo shoots. Wonder what that’s about. She’s usually touchy anyway, though, lots of double-arm hugging, etc.
“Marley” has made $142 million at the US box office. It broke the sales record for films released on Christmas day, and will probably be the No. 1 live action dog movie of all time.
Sorry my figures were US only — worldwide gross receipts for Marley are $166,181,387 as of March 1.
@Baho – skies can be wedgewood! Whatever shade of blue it is, I wear it a lot, which was really why I commented on it in the first place. 🙂
PJ: Only bc people assumed it was a family movie and anything that is for the children sells regardless how stupid the movie is. umm that chihuaua movie made a LOT of money too but it wasnt award winning worthy was it?
Baho’s right, looks Wedgewood blue to me also. I would love to see her do something, anything with her hair.
That said, @Wonder Woman, I saw Marley & Me and loved it. Their on-screen chemistry is very believable, but pup steals the show. A movie doesn’t need to win an Oscar to be an enjoyable film. The box office #’s speak volumes.
It IS a pretty dress but CB is right about the length – just a tad too long. I just put the movie on my Netflix list, I’m counting on your expertise here Daisy! 🙂
I’ve noticed her sun exposure on this and another thread – I sure hope she’s laying off the tanning a bit and is getting the spray variety. That beautiful skin can, and will, only take so much.
I think the dress is cut badly…either that or JA is not standing up straight. The waistline is a bit too high and it just doesn’t hang well on her.
At least from the photos–I know that in reality things can be a great deal more flattering than they are in two-dimensions.
RAN, you’re an animal lover, so you will enjoy it. That pup gets into so much trouble, he’s like a bull in a china shop.
It is sad towards the end though…….
Aniston is the most over hyped talentless actress. She’s too old to be acting all cutsy & she never is honest or natural w/interviewers. I feel strained watching her.
She clutches Owen & everyone around her because she is insecure & needy.
She’s boring & imo…FUG.
Like an Afghan Hound.
A younger version of Barbra Streisand.
Same diva behavoir too I’m told.
