I’m sure most of the headlines will be about Benedict Cumberbatch and his lover/fiancée Sophie Hunter on the red carpet for The Imitation Game, but it’s worth discussing Keira Knightley. Keira is coming to play this awards season! And I’m happy about it because A) Keira is always good for a good old fashioned style discussion and B) a lot of people think she’s pregnant. And it’s always fun to see how a knocked up fashionista works an awards season.

I can’t say I find Keira’s Dolce & Gabbana dress all that impressive though. We’ve seen her wear much more interesting looks at the film festivals and minor awards shows already! I think the goal was to wear something a bit warmer (it’s freezing cold here on the East Coast), and so Keira just wanted something with sleeves, perhaps with a heavy fabric. I would have preferred seeing her bundled up though, in wool trousers and a warm coat, because this dress kind of sucks. The print is too busy, the gold belt doesn’t go and the pleating at the skirt is unflattering. Blah. Something nice: her earrings are pretty.

I’m also including some photos of the men of The Imitation Game, including Matthew Goode (who is based out of New York these days because he’s filming The Good Wife), Matthew’s lady Sophie Dymoke, Allen Leech, Charles Dance and Mark Strong, who looks really, really good.
