Here are some super-cute photos of Robert Pattinson out with his girlfriend of three months (?) FKA Twigs. They are adorable!!! It looks like they maybe worked out together and then got some iced coffee or smoothies or something. Sparkles is making faces in half the photos because (I think) he doesn’t like the taste of one of the drinks. Twigs definitely looks post-workout, but I might be wrong. Maybe this is just their low-key, loved-up-in-LA look. And check out Sparkles acting saucy by grabbing Twigs’ butt in full view of the paps. It honestly doesn’t look like a “I can’t wait to really grab your butt in private” kind of grab. It looks more like Sparkles touched it for a second with his fingertips and said “HONK!”
Anyway, Twigs has a new interview with Rolling Stone. She talks about Rob a little bit and their relationship and her newfound tabloid fame/Twihard infamy. You can read the full piece here. Here are my favorite parts:
The hate-tweets she got for dating Rob: “It was all this crazy, racist abuse out of nowhere. But if you’re an artist, you have to use everything to your advantage, even the pain.”
Growing up in rural Gloucestershire, England: “It was boring and it was beautiful. You’re running in fields, you’re outside, you’re imaginative – but there’s also nothing to do, and when you get to be a teenager, sometimes you kind of lose touch with nature, like I did. You become so trapped in yourself.”
Working as a background dancer in music videos: “As more time goes on, I realize how much I hated it. If I didn’t connect with it creatively, sometimes it would be a bit like, ‘Ugh, why am I doing this?’ Like a tiny cog in a wheel. But at the time I was very grateful – I’d do a music video and make £200 from it. It would have taken me a week and a half to make that doing four jobs.”
She doesn’t care about fame: “I don’t want to be in front of the camera forever,” she says, mentioning dreams of scoring films or directing videos for other artists instead. “I’m not thirsty. I’m not a pop star. I don’t want to reign over all forever.” She is firm on this point: “I don’t want to be famous!” she adds. “It makes me feel sick, the thought of being a famous person. It’s just not me. I’m the happiest when I’m in the studio, not on a beauty parade.”
She’s not a cute little girl: “I love feeling dark. The whole of my life, when people are getting to know me, they’re like, ‘You’re so cute!’ But how I look is not how I am. If you’re going to get to know me on the body that God gave me, then you’re going to get a shock at some point. I look like an anime character, but inside, I feel like a warrior. Like a female mother-earth warrior in a tribe in Africa or a rainforest that we haven’t discovered yet. I feel like I’m really quiet and really tall, six foot, and when I scream, all the leaves rustle and I can throw spears. I have all these big scars all over my face from where jungle animals have tried to fight me, but I’ve won. I’ve had loads of children, so my bones are strong, but my skin is all weathered. That’s how I feel. I was just put in a manga character by accident.”
Do you believe her when she says she’s not thirsty? I don’t think she’s thirsty in, like, a Lady Gaga way. Twigs strikes me as a control-freak artist, someone who will abandon a project if she doesn’t get to do it her way. Someone more concerned about doing it her way than just being famous for whatever. But I wonder how that translates to her private life. Oh, and she mentions how she’s reading a lot of Anaïs Nin these days. Damn… Sparkles is probably enjoying that. *BUTT HONK*

I find her really refreshing. It’s clear she’s worked her ass off to get to where she is now and I admire her for being someone who is truly in control of her output when she’s in an industry where men are usually behind a woman’s image.
They’re cute together. He seems really happy with her. I never got that vibe from him when he was with KStew.

I think the big problem with he and Kristen was all the hiding.. dodging the press. They worked so hard at not being photographed together or showing any affection towards each other. It had to affect their relationship.

Which video? I thought water me was her biggest video but maybe you’re referring to two weeks? That video doesn’t come off as overly sexualized at all, just visually captivating. Labeling them “scantily clad” is a bit judgey based on the theme of the video.
Doesn’t Twigs write all her own stuff, and has learned to produce it as well? I agree with Kaiser’s take on her as a “control freak artist”, and on how she feels about being famous too. She is going to do what she wants to do, but she isn’t pursuing her career just for the sake of being famous.
Rob is already famous, he has an interesting and unexpected new girlfriend – of course they as a couple are a pap target right now. They don’t have to “seek attention”, the paps are seeking them. Whereas Rob used to hide from all that, I think he has decided to just live his life and deal with it.

Robert Pattinson is not that big of a star? Where have you being hiding? He is one of the most photographed, most overexposed actors in the world. He was #1 on IMDB as the most sought out actor for like 3 years and stayed top 10 after that. He was always #1 or #2 on best looking or best dressed lists. His relationship with Kstew was tabloid fodder for years. The national media including serious journalists wanted to be the first to interview him after there was a picture of his girlfriend found cheating on him. Twitter was close to breaking down.
I think he isn’t a very good actor but if you are under 30, you know who Robert Pattinson. Whether you want to or not.
I’m not saying she is with him for fame but he is one of the most famous people in her country and considered one of the most desired. Can’t hurt to score a guy like that while building your music empire. I had never seen her name or picture anywhere until she began dating Sparkles.
Wow, I wasn’t expecting such an in depth response. Lol…no, I know he’s famous. I’m under 30, read the twilight, saw the film’s, etc. I was being a little facetious. He is known, but I wouldn’t consider him a superstar anymore. My way of saying his star isn’t exactly rising in the US unless he has something big coming up.
To be quite honest she seems a bit try-hard, especially when she seems to be trying to come off as dark and edgy. If you really are dark than it will just come out in your work, no matter how you look. The whole “I don’t want to be famous but I’m talking to major publications and dating a world famous, tabloid fodder actor” thing just comes off contradictory. Also, they have been papped a lot. And sure it could just be that the paps happened to get photos of them, but bigger stars are able to somehow live in New York and LA without getting papped like this so I’m starting to believe that someone on one of their teams is calling them.
Why would they need to call?
They know Twigs concert schedule, it’s not like the paps can’t figure out where they are. Paps are actively looking for them, because their pics make money now. So Rob and Twigs could either hide in their hotel room for days at at time, or go out and risk getting papped.
They’d call the paps for attention, the same as any other celeb that just so happens to have their picture taken everywhere they go. I know that FKA Twigs had a career before him, but one can’t deny the fact that she has been getting a lot more attention on her music and shows since getting with him. Is it so crazy to think that maybe she’s calling them to get pictures of them together, especially when in a lot of the pap shots she is looking directly at the camera? Also, being seen with someone as seemingly eccentric as her makes Pattinson seem more interesting by extension which I’m sure helps his image.
I’m not saying they need to hide in their hotel room all day, just pointing out if much more famous people whose pictures are just as profitable to the paps can live in place like LA can avoid having their pictures taken than so can these two.

Even if she’s not trying for fame she does have a career in the arts and needs to promote it – she seems smart enough to know that it doesn’t matter how great an artist you are, if no one sees (or hears) your stuff, that it doesn’t really matter. Giving an interview is a part of her job.
There are plenty of artists that make a living off of their work without getting profiles in major mainstream mags or hooking up with actor who everyone knows the media is interested in their dating life. I just don’t get saying how one doesn’t want to be famous while actively participating in thing that usually lead to one becoming famous. It makes no sense to me and comes off disingenuous.
There’s a huge difference between wanting your work to be successful and experienced by people and chasing fame for game’s sake. Part of her job is to promote her work. She certainly enjoys a higher profile with her choice of romantic partner, but it isn’t like people hadn’t heard of her prior to her relationship.

I’m sure you and other music savvy people had heard of this talented young lady prior to her dating Rob Pattinson. But the vast majority of Americans in the mainstream had not. She wasn’t getting interviewed by mainstream media before nor was she being featured on entertainment sites regularly. These are just basic facts that can be seen by using Google to check out her exposure pre and post Pattinson. It doesn’t diminish her as a person or her talent. Rob Pattinson is one of the most famous men in the world and is commonly on most lists in the UK competing with the likes of Prince Harry for most eligible bachelor in the UK.

It doesn’t matter how famous you are it’s about how popular you are at the moment. Mega famous hollywood stars don’t get paped as much as say Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus. If you sell if there are people who want to read about you the media is gonna milk you within an inch of your life. The real stars like Angelina Jolie arrange photo ops and give quotes here and there so the media will leave her alone. These young stars don’t know how to play the game yet.

Also paps use long lenses so they can snap truly intimate pictures. They often sit in black cars with their cameras if the celeb is on the move.

This could be said of any artist serious about their work, FYI. This could be said about anyone committed to their career, really.
As a 5’1″ adorable 39-year-old woman with the tiny voice of a 6-year-old, I give her a pass for her description of how her inner warrior self differs from her cute exterior. I’m very smart, fearless, and working in a 95% male-dominated field, but people downgrade me to cute and harmless because they only see the outside. Those who take the time to know me see me quite differently than their first impression. So, I can completely relate to her on that point.
That would get old. I have a very “sweet” face. People are constantly telling me how sweet I am. I’m not all that sweet. It’s harmless, and I’m not comparing our two situations, but I wanted to ask you if you have this problem – sometimes I’ll go into a store, say, to exchange something that doesn’t work. I’ll be nice, but professional and businesslike and they will just try to walk all over me unless and until I become a total bitch. Then they’ll do what they should have done all along. GNAT, yes, it happens to me all of the time. I have a very “sweet,” young face, too. I also have a really hard time resisting the conditioning to smile all of the time (whether I feel like it or not) imposed on me as a child being subjected to incest and the pressure to hide the abuse. So, the combination of my appearance and seemingly cheerful demeanor make it difficult for me to stand up for myself sometimes. However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more comfortable advocating for myself and striving to live a more authentic life. I can also be quite articulate in writing, so I rely on that as much as possible at work, but I’m not afraid to speak up for myself.

Check out the pictures from before the HFA, the one that he showed off his new hair cut. He was wearing a great suit, but his looked tore up…. seriously hung over or seriously high or just plain sick. He seems to have aged a bit the last three years, like he doesn’t always take care of himself.
At HFA he looked better than he was in ages. He’s still that weird dude with an ugly haircut to boot, but he looked fresh and younger.
