After kicking off her tour to rave reviews in New Orleans, Britney Spears is enjoying some downtime before her next show. She took her kids to Disneyworld before her performance at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, where her sons got to watch her concert. There have been rumors that she and Kevin Federline don’t allow their kids to watch Britneys’ performances, but she took to her official website to set the record straight.
Britney Spears took Jayden James and Sean Preston to the Disneyworld theme park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida yesterday, and it looks like everyone was having a blast at the Magic Kingdom. Jayden James couldn’t seem to let go of his Buzz Lightyear action figure, and the working mom and her boys hung out Mickey’s Toontown Fair. Brit has a concert at the American Airlines Arena in Miami tomorrow night, so it must be pretty awesome for her to squeeze in time with the boys before slipping into those risque outfits and prancing around onstage.
Speaking of that, Brit is denying rumors that K-Fed banned the boys from attending her PG-13 (at least!) concerts. The pop princess released the following statement on her official website:
“Contrary to rumors linked to false articles, Britney Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will be joining her on the entire Circus tour and will be attending shows as planned. Britney’s family is a huge inspiration and she loves having them on the road with her.”

It’s always fascinating how pop stars choose to raise their children in relation to their job. Sex sells, and Britney knows it. Her concerts features her wearing tight-fitting, boob-enhancing, barely-there outfits. How does she explain to her sons that it’s only okay when Mommy does it? Her official statement is a bit vague, though – she says that her kids come to the venue with her, but that doesn’t mean that they see her perform. They could very well set up a playroom with toys for the boys with no access to speakers.
I do think it’s wonderful that Britney was able to work it out that her kids could come on tour with her. In pictures of the three of them together, she always seems completely and totally happy. Hopefully this is the sign of her full recovery.
Good for her and yeah, it is more likely that her kids are backstage in a play room. Besides even if they did watch her shows they are too young to really understand the themes but would just enjoy watching their mom on stage. Like it or not this is Britney’s career and she has nothing to feel ashamed of, all these are part of her job.
I agree with Enonymous that sex sells and this is part of Britney’s job, but exposing kids too young to sexually suggestive materials and themes can be really confusing. Add to that, they would be seeing their MOM in that sitation, and that is theoretically, someone they should have total trust to go ask their questions. It’s a little bit heartbreaking to know at some young age they are going to have to figure out how to separate her job from her parenting. Hopefully later than sooner!
I can’t wait for March 30th when Britney hits the Toyota Center in Houston. Myself and my best friends are going and we are so more than excited (I’m refusing to look at pictures of the concert to that I can be surprised)!
I wonder when Kevin Federline is going to get a job? And no, gambling , drinking and partying don’t count.
I agree that there is most likely a playroom for the boys. If they do come out to see mommy sing, it’s going to be during one of the slow songs where she’s wearing conservative clothing (for her, at least). Doesn’t she have one or two songs about her boys? If they’re on the playlist for the show, I won’t be surprised if they’re brought out there for her and then brought back in when she goes back to her usual raunchy routines.
I saw the pics of Britney with her sons at Disneyworld, and both she and the boys looked genuinely happy. Whatever her faults, she obviously adores her sons, and they’re probably a major factor in her recovery. And I never thought I’d be defending Kevin Federline, but let’s give credit where credit is due: he was quite civil throughout the divorce and custody battles, and provided stability while Britney was an emotional wreck. Now, they appear to be on very good terms, which is important for their sons. They’ve both matured a lot, I think.
