Matt Damon, Ben Affleck & Chris Evans claim they deflated Tom Brady’s balls

FFN_Damon_Matt_STOIANOV_012815_51639004

Shh… we have to speak quietly and quickly before CB comes in here, yelling about her man Matt Damon. These photos are of Matt leaving his LA gym a few days ago. From the looks of things, he was working on his arms. I try to hide my Damon Love away for fear of being shanked by CB, but g—damn he looks good here. I like my Damon with some meat on his bones.

Anyway, Matty D (as I call him) is very much a Boston boy, so it’s no secret that he’s rooting for the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. But with #DeflateGate still percolating through the media, Matty D is one of several Boston Boys sticking up for their Tom Brady. Jimmy Kimmel pointed out last night that there are some people posting YouTube videos “confessing” to being the person to deflate the balls, so Kimmel decided to have some fun with it by bringing together some famous Boston Boys, like Matty D, Ben Affleck, Chris Evans and John Krasinski (who is actually from Newton, not Boston). The celebs start appearing at 1:30 minute mark but the whole video is pretty great.

Maybe it’s because I’m so used to hearing Southern accents, but I do find the Boston accent rather charming. I prefer it on Matty D rather than Affleck though, sorry not sorry. Affleck doesn’t look good with the haircut. But Matty D is perfect. And Bedhead’s boyfriend Chris Evans wore a fake mustache that’s pretty amazing.

Possible! Brady likes his balls in certain way, so…;D

  2. christina says:

Damon is from Cambridge, I think Affleck was born in Cali, and Chris Evans was born in boston but raised in sudbury. A lot of people who are generally from the Boston area say they’re from Boston (I’m from Newton and do it too) =)

    • Lilacflowers says:

Ben moved to Cambridge as a kid and worked on TV shows at WGBH as a kid. ZOOM!

      • christina says:

That’s what I thought, but my very quick look at wikipedia said born in cali so I thought that fact alone gives John the right to claim he is just as Boston as affleck!

      • Kitten says:

Boston PROPER is small, but Boston as a whole is pretty damn huge.

Keep in mind that Brighton, Allston, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Dorchester, Charlestown, Roslindale, and Hyde Park are all considered part of Boston.

Newton, Cambridge, and Somerville are all their own separate cities though.

      • ScrewStewrat99 says:

Ben Affleck was on ZOOM!?! I freaking loved that show as a kid!! Boston, Mass! 02134!! Send it to ZOOM!!!! You just made my morning =)

      • Esmom says:

No way! Zoom was one of my favorite shows!! In fact one of their segments about a girl getting a cast on then off her arm was so enthralling to me that I spent some time throwing myself off my top bunk trying to break my arm so I too could get a cast. But I’m sure Ben was in a later generation than the cast I watched and loved.

    • Tiffany says:

I took a trip there I upon learning the history, Boston as a city is quite small and there are suburbs galore. It almost felt like you stepped you foot off the street and you were in another city ;).

    • Tea and Dumplings says:

When people say “I’m from Boston” they can mean anything from Revere to Quincy, Winthrop to Metro West. It’s just how people think here. The city proper is small, but those suburbs are filled with people who are very much a part of the city, and very likely work there. I moved to Boston in my thirties, lived in an illegal loft space downtown, then lived for 7 years on the North End, and now I’m in Watertown. I’m a Bostonian.

    • laura in LA says:

Few people are actually from Boston-proper since it’s a small city.
I say I’m “from Boston”, though I grew up in the suburbs, but most of my family’s still in the area.
So technically, none of them are from Boston.

      • Kitten says:

One of my close friends grew up on Exeter Street in Back Bay.. now if that ain’t Boston Proper then I don’t know what is 😉

      • Lilacflowers says:

Exeter Street is about as Boston proper as a person can get.

  3. Celebitchy says:

He is not “your” Damon and you better watch yourself! You are stepping on Bedhead’s boyfriend too. SMH

  4. Loopy says:

I am a sucker for Boston accents. 🙂

  5. BendyWindy says:

Is Matt bulking up for the new Bourne movie? He looks good.

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@BendyWindy, who wrote: “Is Matt bulking up for the new Bourne movie? He looks good.”

Matty D has actually had this bulk since pre-production for the 2013 film “Elysium.” He is currently filming “The Martian” for Ridley Scott, about an astronaut stranded on Mars. so I think he will remain bulked for his next three films. But he was never ‘this’ bulked up for the Bourne films (at least not the first 2, and I agree that he looks good), where the object was to look unassumingly average and NOT stand out, and his build was more like an extremely well-toned boxer.

  6. Lilacflowers says:

The green line runs through Newton, making Kasinski just as much a Boston boy as Cantabridgians Ben & Matt. They all fly into Logan. Chris from Sudbury is a bit farther out but his uncle represents part of the city in Congress and he now has a place downtown.

  7. Kitten says:

    Matt looks yummy.

I don’t think I need to say it but I will anyway: I loved everything about this.

  8. Kristen says:

John Krasinski is a national treasure.

  9. Morgan says:

Chris Evans is awesome with that mustache. You’d never know that stylish jacket is hiding the bod he showed off in that tight shirt last week — crazy!

  10. aims says:

It doesn’t matter, Hawks are going to win!! And we’ll win the honest way! !!

  11. Tippy says:

Marisa Tomei said that Coach Belichick’s explanation of #deflategate “was pretty darn believable” and that his analysis was “dead on balls accurate”.

This is shaping up to be the best Superbowl evah!!

    • Jayna says:

Except for Katy Perry as the Halftime show.

Ah, memories. Four months after 9/11. Chills and tears from this performance. Now, I have lip-syncer Katy to look forward to. At least, Lenny Kravitiz will make an appearance.

My favorite halftime show. I still tear up when the names begin scrolling.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pH5tHgXS-2M

      • Tippy says:

I was hoping they would try to get Fleetwood Mac to perform since they’re currently touring and Stevie Nicks is from Arizona.

      • Jayna says:

@Tippy, what a great idea since Christine McVie is back with them for the first time in 16 years touring. Stevie Nicks was recently on the Rolling Stone cover. I know someone who saw them in concert and said it was an amazing concert. I’ve never seen them.

That’s an amazing idea. Instead we have tween pop idol Katy Perry for the Super Bowl halftime show.

  12. kri says:

And here I thought it was Gisele who had deflated Tom’s balls. Who knew that it was Matt Damon all along? And yes, yes-he does look lovely.

    • M says:

Well, according to the video all the guys helped deflate Tom’s balls. Gisele needs to take a number & get in line.

  13. smcollins says:

Mmmmmmm…..Matt. He just keeps getting better with age. Now, if you excuse me, I need to go grab a napkin to wipe the drool off my face.

  14. Hudson Girl says:

Damon and Affleck were doing accents from different locations.
Affleck’s accent was hilarious. He went deeper into it, too. I LOVED this video!
    – Boston girl

    • Lilacflowers says:

And he played it so seriously. It was hilarious

    • Jayna says:

It makes me want to go back and watch Gone Baby Gone again. I haven’t seen it since it came out, where he used a lot of non-actor locals, and also The Town. I loved that movie. Ben does a great job in filming in Boston and showing his knowledge and love for the area and people.

      • Kitten says:

+1,000,000 and one of many reasons why I’ll always love Affleck.

He filmed on my street during the Town and he was such a class act, bringing in locals for their 15 minutes of fame, and making sure all of us who live their were as inconvenienced as possible, including setting up parking garages for people to use free of charge, holding meetings so we would know which streets would be cut off, and when filming would take place.

In contrast, R.I.P.D was also filmed on my street and it was a disorganized mess.

      • Jayna says:

        @Aw, that’s nice.

Ben gets such a bad rap on here. While filming in Detroit, he said it made such a big impression on him that he took his foreign-made cars and traded them in for a GM and Ford vehicle. He’s very thoughtful about how he wants to raise his children, their values.

“Affleck muses about teaching his own children the values he and his brother, Casey, learned growing up in Boston.”

“That is a really vexing issue. It goes back to riding your bikes. You want your children to be raised the way you were. My parents were very invested in social justice,” says Affleck. “I’ll take my oldest daughter to Africa in the next couple of years, start to expose her to that. She came to visit me in Detroit and we did a tour of Detroit. We saw streets that had one house where anybody was living in. My daughter asked a lot of questions. I want her to see that. People are struggling.”

        Detroit Free Press:

“What does he think of Detroit so far? “I love it. It’s made a big impression on me,” says Affleck. “I went and toured some of the car factories. I was really kind of moved by how American industry is actually employing American workers here in Michigan, that it’s really happening, I saw it with my own eyes. Like many native Detroiters, Affleck is showing those emotions through his vehicles.

“I went and got a Ford and got a GM car and traded in Japanese cars that I had,” he says. “I know there are Japanese cars built in Kentucky now, and the world’s a complicated place and so on. It felt right. It felt right to contribute to the economic well-being of this area.”

Affleck has been exploring the region with his wife, Jennifer Garner, who is busy promoting her new film “Men, Women and Children,” which opens locally Oct. 10. The couple celebrated nine years of marriage with dinner at Royal Oak’s Bistro 82 in June.

“They also crashed a Superman-themed children’s party (with the host’s permission) when they made an impromptu stop with their son, Samuel, to Southfield’s Detroit Kid City play center in July.

And in August, Affleck wore a T-shirt emblazoned with “Detroit City” during his ALS ice bucket challenge video that featured Garner. More recently, they’ve visited the growing Midtown Detroit shopping scene. “I went down to Shinola and me and my wife got bikes and drove around,” Affleck says.

Known for being politically aware and an activist for humanitarian causes, Affleck talks about Detroit both in personal terms and as a place that deserves more national attention for its economic struggles.

“It’s been really inspiring to see ways that people here are working and plugging away and rebounding and dedicating themselves to the city. There’s this whole kind of spirit here of, ‘Hey, we’re on the comeback’ kind of thing.”

He describes his reaction to getting off a freeway blocked by an accident and seeing streets of boarded-up homes where only a few people still reside.
I was just shocked that that even could be permitted to happen in the United States of America, that we weren’t doing more collectively to improve this, that we were allowing part of our country to languish in this way.”

      • mimif says:

Affleck is hot. His moobs in Gone Girl stole the show in that shower scene.

ETA: Oh man, Detroit. *shakes fist at Wall Street*

      • Kiddo says:

I’m not talking to you anymore.

      • Kitten says:

@Jayna-Thanks for posting that. No one likes to talk about this side of him though, because it’s more fun to make him seem like the philandering, drunken gambler.

@mimif- That comment was a dig and as such, you’ve been uninvited to my Bunker Hill Day parade party. Too bad because I’m hiring kittens to dress up in Revolutionary War costumes and serve tiny mimosas to my guests.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Kitten, The Town used the back of the building I was working in at the time and RIPD used the front of the building I was working in at the time, and you’re right, two completely different experiences. The RIPD people made us feel we were inconveniencing them while Affleck was as apologetic as possible about how they were inconveniencing us – not that anyone but the smokers actually used the back alley. I know someone who worked at the prison where they filmed one scene and all the guards on that shift got to go to Fenway for the premier.

      • mimif says:

STOP THE PRESSES. My comment was not a dig, it was the honest to goodness truth. Just ask Kiddo, hence her pretending like she’s not going to talk to me anymore. As if. HAHAHAHAHA. 🙋

      • mimif says:

*Furthermore* I demand that my invitation be reinstated. Also, Kiddo’s invitation naturally must be revoked, seeing as how she’s the one making a dig about my love for Affleck’s scintillating furry moobs of fabulousness. As punishment, I think she should be forced to wear a clown costume at your Bunker Hill Day parade party, while serving tiny mimosas to your guests.

      • Kiddo says:

Someone please tell mimif, I’m not speaking with her, that I cannot sanction her buffoonery with this sudden Bradley affleck Cooper Bender Lust. I do not care about about Mimosas, I’ll be having Momoa instead at the Mountainside saloon and grill, harumph!..My clown pants notwithstanding.

      • mimif says:

The Cooper thing didn’t stick, thank you sweet baby Cheesus. It was just a curious combo of the breakout sensation fake baby+bulked up and bearded thing that threw me for a loop. Back to our regularly programmed attraction to tall, dark & stupid with exploding pecs. I’ll leave you Momoa because it cracks me up that you think he’s delicious.

      • Kitten says:

I don’t recall Mimif’s brief lust for Cooper, but I might have been under the influence of hallucinogenic mushrooms during that debacle, which is just as well really.

I don’t know what to think about those kittens manning a cannon-I’m equal parts horrified and delighted, which is also how I feel about Kiddo’s love of Momoa. Something just isn’t right there.

        Also, I’m telling Bramhall II.

On that note, you’re both disinvited to the party. To think that I was going to allow you two to ride on my Fake Baby (‘Murica!) float.
Now you’ll have to watch from the sidelines as I toss tiny mimosas in y’alls face.

      • Kiddo says:

Might need a little more seasoning like Oscar Issac or Alejandro González Iñárritu, but tasty none the less. At least they aren’t in bland dad porridge prototype hawking family mini-vans and life insurance territory. Aight.

ETA: That’s okay, O’Kitt, I’ll just take the shrooms and position myself on your roof, aiming for fake babies and wolves on the street, with an umbrella. PEW PEW PEW.
Bramhall and I have come to an ‘understanding’.

^I want to add that the comment above^ may win the award for ‘longest outside of a Jen Aniston thread’

      • mimif says:

Pffft. Kitten eats beans straight outta the can. The End.

      • Antonym says:

mimif says: “Pffft. Kitten eats beans straight outta the can. The End.”

Isn’t that how you’re supposed to do it?!? 🍘🙍🙀🍸🍄

  15. BooBooLaRue says:

ugh low-class Boston accents. cannot go there. Patriots cheat. signed former “Bostonian”

  16. Kaye says:

    And Steven Tyler!

  17. Jayna says:

Matt and Ben are mine, MINE, because I accept them as a love duo and always have. I love these guys. Best friendship in Hollywood. Matt wants none of you (well not all of you LOL) because of how you treat his bro soulmate, Ben.

  18. Rachel says:

    Damon looks jacked.

  19. M says:

Of freakin’ course it was Captain American! He was always my number one suspect- it is the “Patriots” we are talking about. And I’d help Captain American deflate balls any day, time or place. Stash or no stash.

  20. Clovermuncher says:

I hate to admit it, but he melts my Haagen-Dazs.

  21. lemonbow says:

Matt Damon is the only man on the planet who can make that accent sound hot.

  22. zut alors! says:

Is Jimmy Kimmel wearing a toupee or did he get hair plugs? I haven’t watched his show in a while and when I tuned in this week, his hair looked different. It never had those curls on top.

  23. Amy says:

It’s interesting how people who are not actually from Boston always say they are from Boston. When I press for details (I am pretty familiar with the city though I am not from there), they always admit to being from outside the city which makes me go, “Oh so outside of Boston?” It is such a small city though and spills into the surrounding suburbs. However, as someone who grew up in the New York City suburbs, I have never claimed to be a New Yorker from The City. Though I do live here now but that’s besides the point. Real New Yorkers born and raised (which are hard to find IMO since a lot of NYC is made up of people who are not originally from there) will be quick to take you down haha, so I don’t even try to pretend. They all think I’m from “upstate.” (And any native New Yorkers reading this, I will be quick to argue with you until my face is blue that I am not from upstate haha).

  24. JoJo says:

I’m from Massachusetts, born and bred. And I’ve lived in Somerville for the last 10 years – part of Greater Boston. It’s totally fine for them to say they’re from Boston, even if from Newton or Sudbury. Newton is actually very close to Boston. The point is, they’re all from Mass. It’s a small state, and they’re all more than familiar with the various flavors of Mass. accents. Ben did a great job – where he really gets it isn’t just the accent itself but also the phrases people around here would actually use. Matt’s great at that too.

  25. karkali says:

Ben’s accent was off just enough to tell he’s not a native speaker, Krasinski can claim Boston as a hometown when Newton tears down the wall (if you’re a Bostonian, you’ll know what this means), Cambridge is over the river and will never be Boston, though we all ride the Redline, and you cannot claim Boston as your hometown unless you were born in one of the neighborhoods: Southie, Dot’chester, The Town, Chinatown, Eastie, North End, South End, Roslindale, Roxbury, Mattapan, West Roxbury, Allston/Brighton, and the Back Bay for Brahhhhhmins; they count, but would prefer they didn’t; and if you know anything, there was a West End (what happened to it is also something a real Bostonian knows); so, um, no, it is not ok to say you’re a Bostonian if you’re from the burbs, sorry. I’ll give you a pass the day Mainers say it’s ok for people from ‘away’ to say they’re from Maine, and Vermonters allow it past 3, instead of 5, generations.
