Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie arriving at LAX with her youngest children, Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt. Angelina apparently brought Knox and Viv to London with her for a few days, while she participated in interfaith discussions about sexual violence against women in conflict, and announced the creation of the Centre on Women, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics.
It’s always interesting to see how the kids get split up with their parents for various events, outings or trips. With six kids, there are lots of different combos. I feel like we mostly see Shiloh hanging with Zahara, or Shiloh hero-worshipping her older brothers. I think Viv and Zahara might be close, because I suspect Viv and Z are both girly-girls. Or does Viv just hang with Knox most of the time? Do they have that special twin bond? I’ll say this – Knox always reminds me so strongly of Brad. Knox is just miniature Brad, only Knox is more gingery.
Meanwhile, Angelina’s dad Jon Voight told Vulture that Angelina should have gotten nominated for an Oscar for directing Unbroken:
This was supposed to be Angelina Jolie’s breakthrough year as a director. But while her biographical World War II epic Unbroken recently drew Oscar notices in three categories — including Best Cinematography — she’s glaringly absent among the list of Best Director nominees. Among those irked by the snub is her dad, Jon Voight, who stood up for her at Clive Davis’s annual pre-Grammys gala in Beverly Hills on Saturday night.
“I wish she had [been nominated], because I think she deserved it,” he told reporters. “I think her direction is astounding, really astounding, and if she wasn’t my daughter, I’d still say, ‘I want to work for that one.’ She’s a great actor’s director — the pace of the film, the size of the film. Unbelievably difficult stuff that she accomplished.”
As I’ve seen more of the nominated films this year, I’m not mad that Angelina didn’t get nominated for Best Director. I do think the nomination for The Imitation Game’s Morten Tyldum was sort of a throw-away though – TIG was adequately directed, the same as Unbroken, so why did Tyldum get nominated and Jolie didn’t? Is it because TIG is British-y and fancy and Harvey Weinstein wields a crazy amount of power? So, if we took out Tyldum, who should go in that place? Selma’s director, Ava DuVernay.

@Kim1 and FLOREC, true. But they also dress like little children, all of them. Those clothes probably cost a fortune, but they all just look so normal. They look like, you know–children, not short adults.

Knox looks like he just woke up and the flashes are bothering him. But she and Brad are so calm that the kids stay calm, so far no public melt downs. She does keep them close, which probably also helps. Most of the time, I see Brad in Knox, but it changes. One minute Shiloh looks just like her mother, then she moves her head and she is all Brad. All three of the bio babes have strong resemblances to both parents. Cuties.
To me, if Brad Pitt and John Voight had a baby, it would be Shiloh. If Brad Pitt and Angelina’s brother had a baby, it would be Knox. That jawline is definitely from her family and if you see pics of her brother little, Knox favors him quite a bit.

They are so well adjusted. B and A are doing something very right with those kids.
Angie has said she is the disciplinarian with the girls by default (Brad thinks the girls can do no wrong) and Brad is a strong father figure to the boys. Between the two of them, I don’t think the kids get away with much.
You can tell Vivienne absolutely adores her mother.
Knox and Shiloh are peas in a pod. Viv is giving HBC vibes with the contours of her face.
Jon is a proud dad. I hope Angelina doesn’t ice him for talking about her. He is glowing with pride and it’s lovely, really. We never truly appreciate that until we don’t have it anymore.
Jon also has a verbally abusive side and can be horrible, I think she’s smart to keep her distance. You can’t appreciate the damage a parent like that can do unless you’ve experienced it.

Folks who come from stable homes have no idea of just how bad things can be. It’s nice when an abusive parent can be pleasant but the damage is done and–especially if the pattern continues well into adulthood–there is no trust whatsoever. A person may get older and be able to forgive and even understand the abusive parent or parents but that doesn’t mean that things are a-ok. Sometimes the best outcome is only to forgive, to know what the parent is capable of, and to keep one’s distance as a result.
“You can’t appreciate the damage a parent like that can do unless you’ve experienced it.” My mother-in-law came from a very stable home. I didn’t. She has said almost those exact words to me. It is simply beyond her comprehension and I love her for knowing that.
I have experienced it. Verbal, mental, emotional abuse. But I do still miss my parent. Things aren’t straightforward.
Ehh… Jon has used her name for publicity for more than a decade. He may be proud of her, but I doubt he’s “glowing” with it, and a few nice words and public pressure doesn’t make up for the (also VERY public) comments he’s made about her and her children. Angelina has already allowed him to meet his grandkids after those nasty remarks, so there’s some level of forgiveness and grace in her. But as the child of an absent father who’s trying to make amends in adulthood… some wrongs can’t be righted. There’s nothing to “appreciate” about his pride; if we grew up with him and knew him as an awful husband and absent father and vindictive person, we would be able to read between the lines and take anything he says with a grain of salt.
Blood doesn’t always make a family. Angie knows this better than anyone.

No… think about it. That would be a security nightmare. Everyone needs to enter and exit through the same channels, and go through the same security procedures in between. This family rarely gets papped, especially considering how famous they are… but there are plenty of celebs who ONLY get papped at LAX. The paparazzi live there, precisely because privacy is impossible.
You’d think there would be private exits for high profile celebrities since they do have people escorting them through security.
I heard that if these celebs really wanted they could ban paps from airports but apparently too many don’t want that. Paparazzi are definitely a security risk for everyone so I would think that would be perfectly possible, no? But yes you are right, we rarely see the jolie-pitts papped unless it’s time for publicity (oh yeah, I don’t think they are above publicity, let’s be honest we usually only see them when it’s movie promotion time).
What would they need publicity for? Usually people say this when they are promoting a film. What are they promoting now? Nothing. LOL I understand celebs have PR, but every time they take their kids out people think it’s a photo op. Actually, the their kids are rarely seen compared to most celebs kids. They don’t put their kids all over Twitter, five days a week.

@Observer–these photos are outside on the street, not inside, so how are you going to ban someone from being in a public place exactly. Airports are not private property either, so they are not breaking any laws. Tacky–yes, annoying–yes, illegal–no.
So, since we also saw photos of Ben Affleck’s children, what is he publicizing? Sometimes pictures are just pictures without any ulterior motives involved.
The solution is flying into Burbank or another smaller airport in LA but you can’t do that on a direct flight from London.
I’m kind of surprised she would go through LAX as there must pararazzi camped there all the time. You could come into other international airports, like Ontario or San Fran, and take a charter to wherever. Pain in the butt though.

I think they let the paps get their picture taking done at the airports so that they won’t follow them elsewhere. Angelina and Brad are smart about their fame game, they give them just enough pictures to ensure a relatively private life.

Lots of people do not wear their engagement rings after they get married. Just because the tabloids told you she hated it, does not mean she did!
I see people all the time just wearing a simple wedding band.
Um, she wore it all the time right up to when she was married. So she clearly loved it. And the ring was far from huge or gaudy. It looked classic, timeless and modest.
both of them look so big, i still think of them as little toddlers. theyre beautiful, all the kids are. knox does look like brad. something about vivian reminds me of angelina but i see brad in her as well. shiloh looks somewhat like brad but actually i see a LOT of young jon voight there.

Well angelina looks a lot like her father. Shiloh and Knox both have a lot of voight. Vivienne looks all Pitt. I’ve seen photos of Brads nieces and she looks like them.

Here is a woman who knows how to dress for travel – she does not need stilettos and ass baring clothes, just a lovely coat, sensible flats… whenever I see the try-hards going through an airport in skin tight low jeans and crop tops I shudder. Sitting on a flight in idiotic outfits so you can look “sexy” for the paps versus the discomfort of hours of flight? No thanks.

I love Anjie, and would also love to see her gain weight. If she even gained enough to look like Kate Upton she would be more beautiful then she already is. Her face looks amazing when fuller, and with her height, a fuller figure would make her look more voluptuous. Just try it Anjie. You could always loose the wright if you didn’t like being fuller, but I think you would look better. Still stunning, just too thin right now. Best of luck. Kids are darling…

Lola, some people have a terrible time trying to gain weight. I know from experience; I was one of them. If you have a naturally small appetite and a metabolism that is off the charts, you have to eat like a team of horses just to break even. It doesn’t help when people are constantly snarking on you for looking like a concentration camp survivor. Wait till Angie is 45 and her metabolism slows down. She’ll start packing on the pounds then. I know that from experience also. In two years I went from a size 4 to a size 8.
Huh? What happens at forty five? Why would someone’s metabolism slow down? Mine never did. I’m the same as when I was twenty. AJ is known to have an eating disorder plus she smokes. I don’t think she looks good at all. I mean look at her! Her legs are the same thickness as her childrens. Love her or hate her but don’t ignore the obvious. There’s something going on there.
What happens at 45 or thereabouts is that your metabolism slows down. Most people (you are an obvious exception) gain 15 to 25 pounds between 45 and 60 because they aren’t burning the calories any more as efficiently as they used to.
Are you privy to AJ’s medical history? Because as far as I know, nobody has ever documented that she has an eating disorder or that she smokes. If you have proof of either from a reliable source, feel free to share it with us. Caveat: tabloid gossip is not a reliable source.
Janet there’s pictures of her lighting a cigarette and actually taking drags from it. They’re everywhere and I’m sure you’ve seen them. You know, the ones where her and Pitt are fighting? Plus she’s admitted to an eating disorder. If she doesn’t have one at this point in time she’s frightfully thin. I don’t think she looks good either.

Maggie no there are no pictures of her actually lighting a cigarette. And that cigarette she was taking a drag from appeared to be an E-cig. Also, in the pictures and sequence, you can clearly see that they were not fighting despite you wishing they were. Also, she has never admitted having an eating disorder.

She is a hypocrite for making a big deal about getting a mastectomy but still smokes. You can get cancer form smoking. She of all people should know that.
Nice to see her in the cream-colored coat (and not black). I do wish she’d left her hair lighter, though. As a once blonde, blue-eyed child, I think her skin tone is complemented by a softer brunette shade, as an adult.
I agree about keeping your distance from a parent. My treatment from my mother used to just crush me. As an adult I kept my distance.

She didn’t deserve an Oscars for that mess of a movie sorry. And her directing sucks. She has no talent in the field of directing but thought an Oscar-bait story and a $30 million 1 year long Oscar campaign was was good enough to get her a Best Director Oscar. Those other directors who were nominated deserved their noms rightfully.
