SI: Swim models dish & laugh about Leonardo DiCaprio’s reputation

As I was giggling over this story, Leonardo DiCaprio sidetracked me with his Instagram page. Have you ever checked out Leo’s photo collection? It’s amazing — a vast collection of wildlife photos interspersed with Leo posing alongside world diplomats at environmental conferences. He’s working so hard to make up for his carbon footprint that will see him partying with a bevy of models on gaz-guzzling yachts several times a year.

Nowhere on Leo’s Instagram page will you find evidence of his modelizing ways. But he’s so reknowned for his party boy rep that the Academy doesn’t take him seriously, and he’s the subject of supermodel vadge jokes at the Globes. Cosmopolitan cornered nine different models at NYC’s SI: Swim event last week. The magazine asked for their opinion on Leo’s modelizing reputation. The results were hilarious:

Sara Sampaio: “If you’re in NYC, you always see him around. He likes blondes.”

Ashley Smith: “When I was at the Cannes Film Festival, I saw him at a party. And he literally showed up, like, the most dressed down [person]. He was in a baseball cap. Everyone else was in tuxedos, he came in a baseball cap, he was there for five minutes, found a girl, and left.”

Lily Aldridge: [Starts laughing. Shakes her head. No comment.]

Nina Agdal: “Leonardo just goes out with the same group of people as everybody. So I hate that people, like, start stirring stuff up, because he’s just in the same area. That happens a lot. But that’s gossip, right?”

Chanel Iman: “I’m not going to say. I can’t comment about it. You’re going to get me in trouble!”

Chrissy Teigen: “That’s so funny, because I have never run into him. I’m almost offended [laughs]. Everyone talks about him and models, and the thing is, in this industry, that’s kind of who you’re around the most. John and I used to joke about it many years ago when we first met. We always wondered why models are with musicians. You date your coworkers, and in a way, we were coworkers. I never thought anything of that stuff. Good for all of them. Good for the girls, good for Leo.”

[From Cosmopolitan]

For what it’s worth, Leo has hooked up with at least one of these ladies. I do agree with Chrissy’s last statement. Leo gets what he wants out of these girls, but they know the drill. Most of them realize Leo’s not looking for marriage. The models gain exposure and don’t go away empty handed. If they end up being Leo’s one-and-only girl for any period of time, he’ll usually gift them a Prius. That’s a better (and more environmentally sound) deal than the infamous Derek Jeter swag bag.

FYI, Leo and Rihanna may still be fooling around with each other. They partied at the same club on Friday night. Interesting.

Fame and money must be a powerful aphrodisiac because Leo has the face he deserves.

  2. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

He used to be so beautiful.

    • Mimz says:

I was never a fan of his looks, GNAT, but I think he still is beautiful, when he cleans up. When he has the sloppy-i-havent-showered-in-10days hair and clothes and facial hair… he looks like a caveman. But then you see him in the Great Gatsby and you’re like.. Wow those eyes. He still looks the same as in Titanic.

So. Like most people. If you dont wash and take care of yourself.. you will look bad. And in his downtime he looks bad.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

V bad! Haven’t seen Great Gatsby. Did you like it?

      • Mimz says:

Took me a long long long time to decide to watch it, but as usual, with Leo, it reminded me of what a great actor he is. I liked it. I couldn’t care for Tobey (his face/voice irritate me) but I really enjoyed the movie.

Now I need to decide to watch WOWS.

      • bitxa says:

I suggest you not to watch that. That’s his true self.

      • qwerty says:

“But then you see him in the Great Gatsby and you’re like.. Wow those eyes. ”

You don’t go “wow that face” or “wow this body” anymore though. Watch The departed to see what I’m talking about… and that was only in 2006.

      • Jenjennyjenjenjenn says:

I totally agree! I thought he had lost the hot then I saw Gatsby and all the old feelings I had in middle school for him came flooding back.

But these photos of him bring me right back to reality.

      • TeresaMaria says:

I do think he is a very talented actor and has given performances that are definitely Oscar-worthy.
And when I see him in film, I don’t care about his current looks or reputation.

But he was a serious celebrity-crush of mine after watching The Departed. He was so hot in that role, both physically and emotionally.

    • Tiffany27 says:

He still can be when he tries. He was gorgeous in The DeparTed and Great Gatsby.

      ETA: What Mimz said hahaha.

      • Bridget says:

The Departed was almost a decade ago. And the Great Gatsby… I don’t personally agree with you there. He looked better than he has recently, but not actually good.

    • Bridget says:

He’s been coasting off of what he used to look like for years. Sometimes I think people don’t actually see him for what he really looks like now, because he’s no where near that spectacularly beautiful boy anymore.

    • funcakes says:

Do not watch the Great Gatsby. It was horrendous. Everything was over the top and soul consuming. Do yourself a favor and just read the book.

      • qwerty says:

Yeah, it was basically a 2-hour-long music video. They spent so much on Leo and trcking out the set, they probably got someone to write them a script off craigslist…. no depth whatsoever.

      • FLORC says:

        Agree!
That movie was terrible. The music didn’t fit either. Everything was an interpretation from the director of a time that was not thoroughly researched. Tobey gave it his all, but the film stunk.

    • minx says:

Yes, he was. And he’s only 40; he shouldn’t be looking that dissipated.

    • msw says:

Agreed. All that partying has well caught up to him and now he’s… squishy. I get the impression it’s kind of an all-encompassing term.

  3. LAK says:

I want the Simon Cowell’s departing gift swag!!

    • FLORC says:

Lol He does have the best “thanks for playing/keep your mouth shut” departing gifts.
Clooney being 2nd best to recent memory.

  4. Pam says:

He was never anything special. There was way prettier boys in the 90s.

    • bettyrose says:

He was a truly great actor, though. This Boy’s Life, Gilbert Grape, etc., he did some interesting work. Also, while there may have been many hotter guys in the 90s, he had a delicate, feminine beauty that’s pretty rare in a guy.

      • minx says:

        Agree, very talented and charismatic.

      • Artemis says:

Leo’s got a career because Phoenix died. We already had a beautiful talented androgynous boy, then we literally got his replacement.

And I’m pretty sure Phoenix would have aged better too.

      • FLORC says:

        Artemis
They brought different things to the table. And more than 1 actor can fill an image.
He would have his career no matter what happened to Phoenix imo.
Now, if Leo was a replacement in a role Phoenix had originally and that was his big break I would agree.

      • bettyrose says:

Artemis, that’s an interesting theory. Phoenix was something special, but I’m pretty sure Leo had already filmed the two movies I mentioned above before Phoenix died.

      • Pam says:

        I disagree, bettyrose.

      • Artemis says:

        @FLORC and bettyrose:

I meant it when I wrote that he was a literal replacement. Phoenix was going to star in The Basketball Diaries and Total Eclipse, two roles that went to Leo. He was also in talks for Titanic. He was the main contender late 80s and early 90s for many parts that after his death, went to other ‘hearthrobs’ of that time.

Directors were crazy about him (especially Lumet) , his peers looked up to him and some were even in awe, (Brad, Ethan Hawke, Leo, Keanu etc.), his ‘mentor (Harrison Ford), and older actors such as Sidney Poitier were blown away by his natural talent yet at the same time being down-to earth and serious; well…before drugs ruined him.

He was IT. When talent was brought up, you bet it was Phoenix they named as the very best time and time again before and after his death. Very reminiscent of J-Law now. This is why he was in talks for playing the lead in almost every movie that was appropriate for his age. And while sure, other actors were also considered, they were still playing catch up when River got roles thrown at him and massive support from the industry and the fans. That’s very rare. He was their biggest competition and he didn’t even try (whiich is where J-Law seems more calculating).

If not for his love for music and his offbeat choices , he would have made it a heck of a lot more difficult or even impossible for above mentioned stars to breakthrough. And he was also far ahead of his peers who chose not only safe mainstream films to build a career but also shied away from political talk, River discussed animal rights, South Africa and Palestine and sexuality. He was a person, not part of a machine which is maybe why he died so soon.

      • bettyrose says:

Gawd River was beautiful, but he would’ve been too old for Leo’s role in Romeo & Juliet (four years makes a big difference for playing a teenager) – I guess they could’ve made Jack older, but somehow Titanic just seems too soft a role for River. I guess we’ll never know what would’ve happened. We’ll also never get to see River & Heath Ledger playing an older/younger brother in a film. How great would that have been? Sigh.

      • Artemis says:

        @bettyrose:

Well, age and Hollywood were always a fickle thing. Phoenix played a tween in Stand by Me while he was almost 16. He was the oldest boy in the group and did not look that old in comparison to the others. He looked more mature but age and maturity don’t run parallel. He was just a good actor and then you can make almost anything work. Almost :).

Leo has always looked quite young too up until a certain point. Movie make-up and a natural boyish look can get you many younger roles.

I agree that Titanic would not have fit Phoenix but looking at Leo’s adult career, you wouldn’t think he would have played Jack would you? He played quite heavy roles (and to his credit, he was amazing) at an early age to then go to R+J and Titanic.

Yeah, or River and Joaquin in one film, wow. River and Phillip Seymour Hoffman! So many great collabs could have happened. Sigh indeed.

      • Bridget says:

Phoenix died in ’93 and Titanic wasn’t made for at least another 2-3 years. @Artemis: there’s no possible way that he would have been in talks to play Jack. As for the rest… Leo’s career was made with This Boys Life and Gilbert Grape, both of which were made while Phoenix was still alive. Basketball Diaries and Total Eclipse weren’t exactly career making movies.

      • Artemis says:

        @Bridget:

Titanic wasn’t designed and made in a year, it was a long process, especially pre-production (research about that era, technical stuff like underwater filming + finding the right actors) and there were post-production issues which pushed the release date. Actual production already started in 1995 and Winslet was cast in 1996 btw. Just read Cameron’s interviews. But in summary:

James Cameron has admitted that when he first started thinking about Titanic (1997) in the early nineties, he favored River for the lead. By the time the film was made, Leonardo DiCaprio was old enough to take the role.
        IMDB

The idea to make Titanic came to Cameron when he was making The Abyss, that film was made in 1989.

You can argue that neither were This Boy’s Life and Gilbert Grape as he later signed onto films that were aimed at superstardom. And it wasn’t even a sure thing because Winslet was the one who really wanted Leo. Leo also lost roles to other actors (not only Phoenix). Phoenix on the other hand was recommended by directors and was far ahead of Leo as he could get those mainstream roles if he wanted to.

The loss of Phoenix still lingers on, articles are still being written, analyses are made and most importantly actors and fans still talk him. His impact is undeniable for somebody who had a small filmography and dubious personal life.

      • Lola says:

@Artemis No, it wasn’t drugs that ruined him. I remember it was reported he was sexually abused as a child, like many other child actors before and after him.

      • Bridget says:

James Cameron has said that Phoenix would have definitely had a shot at playing Jack had he lived, but that’s still a vast difference from “River was in talks for Titanic”. And I’m not the one trying to make the highly subjective argument that Leo only had a career because Phoenix died – rather, the only part that’s certain is that he had those two jobs mentioned earlier.

…and I thought he was the one

  6. Hautie says:

All I see is a doughy Frat boy. Way past his prime.

And having a complete lack of hygiene does not help his cause.

Geez, what is it with skipping the three “s” for men now.
(and the three “s”…. sh*t, shower and shave)

I am so put off by the lack of daily grooming habits. Yet, I realize I am part of 1980’s generation, where we all groom within an inch of out life. Daily.

Now I go the Kroger’s and see 20 year old’s looking like hell. Too small low riders with belly shirts and dirty feet… wearing busted looking flip flops. Ugh.

    • LAK says:

I’m with you there. Ditto being 80s generation of super groomed people.

      • joy says:

At my last job I had to go testify in court several times a year. I was raised to dress up for such things but I saw daisy dukes and tube tops more times than I care to admit.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

With you both. I see people flying or at the airport in rumpled, unwashed clothes, looking like they just rolled out of bed, practically in pajamas. I don’t mind casual, but is it so much trouble to bath and brush your hair? Lol

    • Mimz says:

      PREACH

It’s so hard to find people who think like me (mid 80’s baby here) but isn’t this common sense? I was unfortunate to have had a roommate for about 6 months, that would only shower on Fridays when she went to her boyfriend, and sometimes on sundays when she came back. Mind you, this is South Africa, so in February, the heat is disgusting and you are feeling sticky, she would see me hopping in the shower twice a day and tell me “ah… I’m too lazy now, I’ll shower in the morning”.
Next morning – no shower. just got up, combed the hair, baby powder on underarms, deodorant, got dressed, perfume everywhere, huge amounts of makeup later she looked squeaky clean, with her baby blue eyes and beautiful clean looking auburn hair.

Except.. I knew her secret and it just grossed me out.

End of Rant. Sorry I just needed to get it out of my system.
And it’s not only men, women as well. And walking barefoot.

      • Shambles says:

@Mimz, I do have to say I think it’s amazing that we as women have the ability to go from Lohan in 2010 to La Celestial Beyonce with just a few little tricks. Like yesterday, the way I went from wearing my brother’s sweat pants and an actual nest of rats on my head and Friday’s makeup smudged all over my face, to being all primped and ready for my V Day dinner in mere moments (maybe longer, but whatever). Wizards, I tell you, we are wizards. That said, “I knew her secret and it grossed me out” made me giggle 😀

      • Mimz says:

@Shambles, Yes that is true!! We can work magic in just a few minutes if we’re pressed to. I also agree with that. But I must say, seeing that on a daily basis was rather disturbing. We are wizards indeed.

Well, just to make the giggle even worse, I eventually found out, after being suspicious for a little while, that she was using my – wait for it – my loofah. How did I find out? I was once standing outside the house with friends, and the shower had one of those foggy/crackled glass windows on it, so you can see the shadows of whoever is showering. So, I used to hang my loofah there. I looked up, and the exact minute I realize I cannot see the shadow of my loofah, girlfriend was seen putting my loofah back in its place, as if nothing happened. I confronted her, she denied it. I just threw it away and started hiding the new one I got.
Traumatized, I swear to you. two years later I still shiver with the thought of it hahahahahahahahah.

Anyway. Wish Leo and more people would shower more often. Or at least look clean on a daily basis hahaaha

    • FLORC says:

It’s not just an 80’s thing. It’s just common decency for those close enough to smell you.

  7. perplexed says:

Leo’s womanizing reputation is lame, but I doubt the Academy cares — Jack Nicholson has 3 Academy Awards and 12 Academy Award nominations, and he always struck me as worse than Leo.

    • Tippy says:

Sometimes I think that the Academy is more concerned with the “political correctness” of films and the public perception of actors lives rather than the quality of work.

    • bitxa says:

Probably. But he’s a bad man. That’s the main reason that nobody understands.

    • Zippi says:

Well, JN used (and uses) to sleep with with women. Many of them being famous and his same age. He never gave the impression of being scared by them. Leo is not a womanizer, he is a modelizer. He spends his spare time with his mantourage and a number of disposable blonde young girls. He looks like someone who is not confortable in a real relationship with a real woman. That makes one huge difference.

      • perplexed says:

Leo probably isn’t interested in long-term relationships, but I still don’t think the Academy would care. I think he hasn’t won an Academy Award because he’s still relatively young, and the Academy knows he’ll turn out a good performance over and over again so that if he doesn’t win one now they can always reward him later in the future.

I don’t know what Jack Nicholson was like when he was younger, but my perception of him is that he has dated much younger women (i.e Lara Flynn Boyle) and cheated on them with other younger women, and is associated with a lot of unsavoury types (i.e Roman Polanski). The latter makes me think he’s a lot more dangerous than Leo, whose worst personality trait is that he’s probably a bit of a man-child who is attached to his mother.

      • Cindy says:

Never thought of it that way, but how true……

      • FLORC says:

        Perplexed
Many Oscar winners much younger with various ranges of work have won. I think that has little to do with it.
The Academy has long been known to seek a certain image for the winners. They want association with them to be the best.
Family oriented, pregnant and showing by time of award ceremony, some type of political or civil progressive nature.

There was a top consultant actors would use to wage a winning campaign for the award. This was a part of the formula.
Leo doesn’t care enough to stop acting like a slob. And they’ve noticed.
It’s a game. You can be awful, but you’d better have a great industry connections and deliver a range of performances.

      • perplexed says:

On the best actress side, the winners tend to skew quite young. This year, Julianne Moore seems to be breaking that trend. But in most years, the Academy likes to reward younger women under 40.

BUT on the best actor side, the winners tend to skew older. The youngest Best Actor Winner in history is Adrien Brody who was 29 when he was won. You don’t see someone as young as Jennifer Lawrence pulling in a win on the Best Actor side. Prior to Adrien Brody, the youngest Best Actor winners were Richard Dreyfuss and Marlon Brando, who were 30 when they won.

This year Eddie Redmayne has a good shot at winning, and I’m quite surprised since he’s only around 33 or so. That isn’t the norm for someone in their early 30s to be a frontrunner like this on the Best Actor side.

Someone like Paul Newman didn’t get the Oscar till he was basically old, and he had a pretty family friendly image.

I know a lot of campaigning and politics is involved in winning and that’s where you have to put in the effort to pull off a win, but in his particular case I don’t see Leo’s dating history playing into it since his history is quite tame by Hollywood standards. He doesn’t have a bunch of random children by a bunch of different baby mamas running around like Marlon Brando did.

Leo does look like a slob, but that’s during his down-time. On the red carpet, he generally looks fine. He wears the standard suit and tries to look like a grown-up (even when he has the stupid man-bun thing going on). I’ve never seen him show up on the red carpet looking like Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt during their grunge phases and I’ve never seen him wear a stupid looking hat with sunglasses (I’m sure there’s a pic out there somewhere that I haven’t seen, but I don’t think he’s done it with the same frequency that they’ve done this).

      • Sarah says:

Jack Nicholson spent a decade or two with Angelica Huston (a true force of nature). Every woman after that seemed like a comedown to me.

    • Bridget says:

DiCaprio doesn’t have an Oscar because his work has never been the best of that year. Look at what he was nominated for: The Aviator, Blood Diamond, and The Wolf Of Wall Street. Not exactly performances that anyone is coming back to. He does good work, but not the best.

      • Nessa says:

I think the same can be said about J. Law. She always gives good performances, but never the best. Winter’s Bone was her best performance. Every other part she plays is some variation of Jennifer Lawrence.

      • Bridget says:

Jennifer Lawrence has won an Oscar, so it’s not a valid comparison. It’s not even a good comparison with Amy Adams, who’s nominated works have been stronger but gets out campaigned. DiCaprio puts out good stuff, but for the most part its just good, not great, though with its pedigree it feels like it should be great.

      • Jessica says:

I’ve always thought his problem is just that he’s consistently been very good. There’s been no big break-out performance, which is what the Academy likes to reward these days. He’ll get one eventually, like Julianne Moore is now.

  8. Kiddo says:

I LOVE these photos, I can’t lie. Where’s the kicker?

  9. olly says:

Oohhh, the jokes about him are becoming very public. Countdown to him pulling a Amalooney.

    • Shambles says:

Eventually he’s going to hire a skywriter to paint the sky with “Rihanna, you elusive and enchanting chanteuse, make me the luckiest sand crab alive by marrying me?” And she’s going to laugh in his face. It will destroy him. Chaos will ensue. I cannot wait.

  10. AlmondJoy says:

Sounds like Chanel Iman knows something or either she’s already hooked up with him! 😉

    • qwerty says:

It’s interesting that the only 2 models who declined to comment were associated with VS. Maybe it was in their contract?

  11. Guesto says:

I like Leo. He marches to his own beat and doesn’t really seem to care much about what other people think of him. That’s kind of refreshing in a world where so many celebs go to such infantile and ego-driven lengths to shape their public image.

And you don’t see him running off to Gossip Cop every 5 minutes boo-hooing and huffing and puffing over something mean the tabloids said about him. Yes, Clooney, I’m looking directly at boo-hooing, huff-puffing you.

  12. paola says:

It really seems like Gisele dodget a bullet.

  13. aquarius64 says:

I can’t stand these guys who have these “consolation” prizes and parting “gifts” when it all ends. It’s like they’re paying for services rendered. If prostitution wasn’t illegal in many states, provinces and countries they would go that route and call it a day.

    • Kiddo says:

Hey, the department store is open, with its flashy window displays. You can take the revolving door to the basement or you can shop elsewhere.

  14. jen2 says:

Don’t have a problem with Leo. Personally, he does absolutely nothing for me, unwashed or clean. The women are of age (though a lot younger than him) and he has not, to our knowledge left any “little Leos” anywhere, like some of the others who have babies with different women every couple of years. He has his posse and some girls on the side, which seems to make him and them happy. He does his environment work, which helps his image. I think he has a few more years before his mid life wake up “Amalooney” phase.

BUT if this was a woman, she would be called a slut. And that is what I have a problem with.

    • bitxa says:

He should call his mommy to give him a tip about his looks

    • Micki says:

Well put, I agree with everything you said.
No model has complained so far.
      No bastards known.
No mix between personal and business life.
I don’t care about his hygiene-I don’t have to sleep with him.
I actually started to like him as an actor after he lost his pretty baby face.

      • qwerty says:

” No model has complained so far.”

Do you really believe they are not legally bound to keep all the stuff that happened in their relationship a secret?

      • qwerty says:

Just wanted to add: It’s not a coincidence that NONE of his ex-gfs has talked. Not one. Toni Garrn had a feature in Dec 2014 GQ which mentioned Leo 5 or 6 times and that was the last time she could call herself his girlfriend.

      • perplexed says:

Maybe he has models sign contracts before he dates them, but some model wrote about what he was like in bed in a book.

      • Micki says:

        qwerty:
Do you really belive they sign at gunpoint ?
I don’t belive that any of them is an innocent lamb, that given a chance won’t spill..
Yes, I can easily believe he demands such contract but who in his position and lifestyle won’t do it? Someone who pays only lip survice to his privacy?
One way or another he keeps his private sh+t mostly private.

  15. Kaley says:

At least he’s honest with himself. He’s not mature enough for family responsibilities and doesn’t want them. I respect that way more than someone who pretends they are and then dumps everyone who is relying on them after five years.

    • minx says:

I agree. He’s free to do what he wants; I don’t think he has to get married or even pair up with one woman. He should take better care of his looks, though, but even that doesn’t seem to matter; he gets women no matter what.

    • Sarah says:

Yes, but he’s in his forties and still playing Peter Pan? It’s getting old (sorry for the pun). 🙂

  16. bitxa says:

I can’t believe he looks like this now. I’m probably blind. Looks like nothing.

  17. OSTONE says:

He used to be gorgeous. Romeo + Juliet.. Titanic… The Departed.. Swoon.
I would laugh at him for so many reasons.. His dance moves, the fact the majority of his bonafides are interchangeable, his so called “green” lifestyle (yet he is on yachts constantly).. I think his true and only soulmate is Lukas Haas.

  18. ToodySezHey says:

Eh, I was never into Leo. He looked like a teenager for most of his 20s. Scraway chested and baby faced, did nothing for me.

He kinda finally grew into his frame and looked hot and masculine in the Departed, but still for me he was never a heartthrob.

But I wonder for him. ..does it never get old. Does he never actually long for a mental and emotional connection? As John Leguizamo says, eventually you can get tired of meaningless sex. Leo has had the sex life of a college freshman for nearly 25 years. Seems kind of exhausting to me.

    • Sarah says:

And he keeps going for the same woman time after time. Same age, same hair, same job. Only the name changes.
It reminds me of a guy I knew, almost 50 and fresh off a divorce after 25 years of marriage. We worked at the same college and he kept striking up “friendships” with young female students. I saw him at a party sitting with his most recent “find” (who called him “Dad”) and said “You realise that in her phone’s contact list, she has the word PERVERT in brackets beside your name”. Well, I thought it was funny 🙂 And yes, I am a wicked person 🙂

  19. perplexed says:

He looked the best in The Departed. He should go back to that look.

    • GingerCrunch says:

Thanks, everybody for all the ‘Departed’ reminders! I crushed hard for him in that. If only we didn’t have to see him looking like he does now…sigh…

    • Lilacflowers says:

I just re-watched that the other night. He truly looked great and nothing like how he looks now.

  20. Curious Cole says:

I liked Lily Aldridge’s ‘comment’ best of all, lol. Leo comes off as trying (and failing) to be George Clooney 2.0. He’s a great actor but I can’t get past the mountain man grooming, even though it’s for a role.

    • Josefa says:

Lily’s comment was my favorite too, lol. Good to see at least some of these models see him for what he is. What women see in him (besides a sizable wallet) is beyond me. I’d have a hard time choosing between banging him or my cat. At least my cat smells good and still looks cute.

  21. AppleOne says:

Leo is like Putin of the celebrity world – everyone knows him but nobody can talk about him.

  22. wolfpup says:

Leo and Rihanna sound kind of hot. I wonder if he has met his match.

    • qwerty says:

She’ll destroy him. Last time he had to deal with a grown up woman who had an opinion about anything and not a 20-year-old fangirl was when he was with Gisele.

    • Pam says:

Rihanna is beyond hot, Leo is not. She is way too good for him and I hope they are not dating.

    • Shiba says:

That is all PR. They party together.
Maybe she’s trying to make Cara Delvigne jealous.
From all reports, Leo can barely get it up. And I can’t see RiRi settling for sh*t sex with anyone – she’s the QUEEN.

  23. Maddie says:

Every time I see a picture of Leo, my mind goes to Stewie from Family Guy….and I hear Stewie s voice.

  24. Justwastingtime says:

He has always reminded me of truman capote, beautiful baby faces in youth do not age well. .

  25. lisa2 says:

He has seemed different since that Blake Lively thing. I still think she is the one that waked away. Something about him changed after her. I think if he was ever going to really marry someone she could have been the one.I think Gisele broke his heart too. I liked him when he dated Bar. She was so gorgeous.

I was never into Leo.. he never did it for me. I just found him to be this man child on some level.

  26. kri says:

Please go watch Witches of Eastwick and tell me he isn’t Darryl Van Horne’s baby clone. I have said it before and I will say it again-he is totally Dorian Gray-ing himself into Nicholson. WTF? I know he is single, and I’m pretty sure he is not difficult to figure out, but…..EW. I just couldn’t!! COULD NOT!! But my Shetland pony dimensions would put him off, so I’m sleeping well tonight. As for Riri and him……..ugh. Girl, please unseat yourself from that beard and never look back.

    • bitxa says:

Oh yes. I think he was spelled by an anonymous witch.
Please!!! you are crazy, nuts, mad, unstable!!!! You need power supply!!!!

  27. Ruckhappy says:

He is an exceptionally talented actor, but that guy has the biggest case of small dick syndrome I’ve ever seen.

  28. AppleOne says:

What’s the problem with his shenanigans? Not EVERYONE wants to get married and settle down. I’m not even talking about starting a family. Some just want to be “forever young” so to say. People laugh at Leo but it’s not like he’s forcing himself on any of those models. Don’t want to date his bushy beard? Just say “no!”

    • PHD Gossip says:

      Bingo!

    • Ash says:

I don’t understand why people get annoyed by Leo’s lifestyle either.

If he wanted a different lifestyle, he could change. It would seem to me as if he’s happy with the way his life’s going.

I don’t take his life choices personally.

  29. Mispronounced Name Dropper says:

    “You date your coworkers”

Working with an embittered ex partner? Cue Homer Simpson flavored revulsion shudder.

  30. enike says:

Leo is an amazing actor – not taking him seriously for his work is…. absurd? just because he likes models? who are these models anyway?

I am not a blind Leo fan, but he deserved at least 1-2 oscars for his work – IMHO… he has a quality performance in every moovie, he is in

I don´t care, if he sleeps or slept with thousand of models, he IS a good actor! And that is what matters (for me)…… evidently, not for Academy

    • daughter of jean says:

      Agree with your comment 100%.

    • Mispronounced Name Dropper says:

Agree. A lot of people on this site seem very bitter about the way Leo conducts his private life. He’s only doing what most men wish they could do. I respect him for not caving in to his bitter detractors.

    • Artemis says:

He deserves an Oscar? So many of them do and most don’t even got nominated. At least he knows he can win one.

Also, most of the time when he got a nom, there were actors who were just as good if not better than him.

Both he and Matthew Mc…should not have gotten a nom last year, that were two noms that could have gone to much better performances. The Academy was so wrong for that, it’s not like they ignore him…

edit: I don’t think people are ‘bitter’, people liked Leo and Gisele, even Leo and Bar. Then they noticed the girls’ age stay the same while he’s getting older and cares less and less about his appearance. It’s disgusting. He’ll be 60 and still dating girls in their very early 20s. Just like people are repulsed by men like Robin Thicke, they are repulsed by Leo D.

      • perplexed says:

Robin Thicke annoyed me because he tried to carry on this type of lifestyle while he was married.

I don’t think Leo D’s lifestyle is attractive, but since he’s single it’s harder for me to get irritated at him the way I would at Robin Thicke. I guess it helps that Leo D doesn’t make stupid looking music videos either and that most of what he does doesn’t seem to wind up on Twitter (i.e groping someone). If he’s doing anything self-indulgent, at least he knows how to keep it private and is doing it while single.

      • Artemis says:

Well he’s often not single. He cheated on pretty much every gf he ever had. The reason why Gisele and him didn’t work is because she wanted more and she matured whereas he wanted to live the single life while having a bonafide.
He cheated on the wonderful Toni Garrn and even took several girls back to his place once. It’s been reported that he kisses girls when he’s at a club/award afterparty/festival afterparty when still officially with his girl of the moment.
Why he has gfs, I don’t know but it’s not a good look.

Married or not, when you date a girl, you respect her. He never respected his girlfriends. At least he was more secretive about it with Gisele and Bar but these last few years, it’s been disgusting.

Also have people noticed that whenever he has a new buddy, they start to behave like Leo? Vlad dumped Naomi and took a younger model gf, Jonah Hill started dating ‘aspiring models’, Thicke completely ruined his marriage (I believe he had an ‘agreement’ with Paula) and parties with Leo, Bradley Cooper took his own ‘Lolita’.

It’s not that he’s dating models, it’s that he’s being a blatant douche and treats these women like disposable pieces of meat for his enjoyment and company.

Leo doesn’t make stupid videos, but he did make WOWL which is just a copy of his own life 🙂

    • funmi says:

      I also agree.
We blame his not getting an Oscar on his moelizing ways, then we bash Cumberbatch for using his personal life to win an Oscar.
Why on earth should anyone care if he sleeps with models?
Why on earth has he being denied Oscar after Oscar when men with far less talent and far less good body of work often get Oscars.
Some of those men have had their careers fizzle out.
      I still wonder?

  31. perplexed says:

I think it would be much worse if he got married and then had a harem of mistresses trailing behind like Tiger Woods. Very rarely do people in Hollywood stay faithful so for the context in which he lives, his lifestyle probably makes more sense to him.

    • Ash says:

“Very rarely do people in Hollywood stay faithful so for the context in which he lives, his lifestyle probably makes more sense to him. ”

This. I respect him for staying true to who he is. He could run out and get married, then turn around and cheat on his wife.

  32. Adele Dazeem says:

Leo has never done it for me. I could never understand the swooning over him in his Titanic days and even in The Departed or Gatsby, he looks like some man-child. Very average looking in my opinion. When I see him with his models I always think, “Would you be with him if he was the local plumber?”. Power, money and fame are strong aphrodisiacs.

Regarding how he looks at the moment – the extra weight, the beard and the long, greasy hair are for a film role – The Revenant. It is being film on and off right now. But, yeah, it doesn’t exactly add to his allure.

  33. SnarkGirl says:

He’s not my type, but I think he’s a great actor and I admire his “no f*cks given” way of living.
