The Sun had an interesting story up yesterday. It was about how Angelina Jolie is “so sick” of hearing Jennifer Aniston talk about her and Brad. Which I could buy. Aniston has been promoting Marley & Me and He’s Just Not That Into You for several months now, and she’s given many interviews in which she’s openly discussed Brangelina. In her Vogue interview, Aniston called Angelina “uncool” and in her GQ interview, she even brought up Brad and Angelina’s children. Most of the time, it seems like the interviewer brought the couple up, but there’s such a thing as “no comment.” Just sayin’.
However, The Sun gilded the lily and now I don‘t buy any of it. They claim that Angelina is threatening to “dish the dirt right back on Jen” if Aniston continues to talk. Yikes. The Sun even drops the dreaded p-word. They have a source who claims that Angie thinks Aniston’s name-dropping is “a pathetic attempt” to cause trouble. Here’s the full Sun article:

I suspect that *cough* “caring mother”, *cough* “serious actress” and *cough* “environmentally-aware humanitarian” probably cares more about her public image than just about anyone else on God’s green earth, hence the constant stream of media whoring.
Agreed, what would she have on JA anyway? I think AJ has learned how to play the press and groom her image just as well as the next celebrity; and I think she wants to keep that image free from any hint about Jennifer Aniston or any of that tabloid stuff.
Well, I second EnKay 100%. IT’S GOSSIP. We’re all growed up here, we don’t expect everyone to like the same people we like and if we’re going to have a hissy fit every time a writer says something we don’t like, then we need to stop reading now. If a celeb (any celeb) deserves ridicule, stick it to them. With knobs on.
That said, doubt this is true although I’m sure it was very irritating at the time.

I would LOVE to know what kind of dirt Angelina Jolie might have on Aniston IF this came out to be true. Aniston always seems so vanilla to me, what could she have done, kiss a girl and liked it? got high on just one puff of a joint in college? make a porn tape with one of her equally boring ex boyfriends? That would only make her more interesting in my eyes and still be a goody-two-shoes compared to Angelina. What I am more interested is if there is any dirt on that overgrown frat boy Brad.

I always was astounded on how quit Jen was about the whole sorry situation. I payed attention for I was waiting for her to say something negative. I thought she used constraint. As most nutral people did. I notice Angie has no problem talking about her ex’s and she was never in a situation with any of them similar to Jen.She finally says a few thins and she is made out to be evil. I think it was her putting finality on it. And giving a few tidbits of how she felt. losure. No big deal. Human actually. OK, let’s play the game. What if JA had an abortion in say, 2002, even though they already wrote Rachel’s character as pregnant, and then tried to say it was a miscarriage (which Pitt put the kibosh on). That would be a good reason why he decided he didn’t want her as the mother of his children and eventually left her for AJ. Or let’s say that she kept putting off getting pregnant (even though she’d tell anyone who’d listen that she wanted to have his kids) and instead signed off on 5 back to back movie roles once Friends ended? making him realize she was just using him to get A-list roles and never had any intention of starting a family.
I’m inclined to agree with the poster who said AJ wouldn’t just make threats through a random source. She’d probably go right up to JA and tell her to knock it off.

I don’t know about this story, but it’s certainly true that Angelina’s fans (and likely AJ herself) would be more than happy to see Jennifer fall off the face of the planet.
Everything Jennifer does, the loonies go “how dare she” (talk about Brad, go to the Oscars, promote her movie, etc.), and “why doesn’t she shut up, go away, stop doing whatever she’s doing…”
JA’s not going away. She has the right to say whatever she wants. The media will print it as long as the public is interested.
The truth is, there’s no way a top actor can do what Brad did to his ex-wife and get away with it, pain-free. There will be fallout from that decision for the rest of his life.

First of all, given that Brad and Angelina have whored themselves almost nonstop since the day they hooked up, I would have to say that Aniston is remarkably restrained.
I find it somewhat mocking that when Aniston began to get press when “Marley and Me” came out Brad and Angelina decided to move to France to escape it all.
She was married to Brad and to be perfectly frank, she has every right to have feelings for him. Aniston hasn’t been traveling the world and making sure the press hears about her every humanitarian gesture. She hasn’t been throwing her sex life all over the place. Aniston is really refreshing and I wish her and Brad were together if only to have the old laid back Brad back instead of this pompous wannabe politician.

I notice a common trend reading these comments. When people talk about Angie and Brad hooking up, the attention seems to go to Angie and how bad she was for doing that. I think Brad was the worst! He was the one that was married, and couldn’t keep it in his pants. Angie could have pulled out all the stops and he still could have said no. Angie’s loyalty wasn’t owed to anyone, and Brad’s was.
