The good news: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian finally allowed North West to wear a color other than black or grey. She’s in ballerina pink!!! And she looks beautiful. The bad news: Kim is still exposing herself in crazy ways. Kim’s leggings are totally transparent, especially in the back, where the thin fabric is being stretched to its limit.
These are photos of Kim, Kanye, North, Kourtney Kardashian and Kourtney’s daughter Penelope leaving the girls’ dance class in Woodland Hills yesterday. I just can’t get over how adorable North looks in her little pink outfit. Why don’t they let the baby wear cute colors all the time? And I genuinely love that Kanye was there for his daughter’s dance/ballet class.
It’s also interesting to note (I guess?) that Kourtney and Kim are fine these days. Apparently, they had some kind of dust-up on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I remember seeing the clip where Kim says “I bought her a f—king career” but I thought Kim was referencing one of the Jenner girls. Nope. She was talking about Kourtney. And Kourtney was right there. It’s pretty rude. This just reminds me… Kim is so much her mother’s daughter. For real.

Both my daughters took ballet lessons. While some of the older students in the school may have been pre-professional, my kids certainly were not. The annual recitals had a lot of unintentional humor in them. But both girls wore pink leotards, tights, and shoes. They didn’t get tutus until the recitals, though.
Actually where we use to go all the kids wore the same color – light blue, pink, etc depending on their group. It was quite regimented – starting with or 5 year olds.
I know, right? That was my thought — that she’s only in pink because it’s a uniform, not because Kimye finally caved and let her wear something besides black. I bet Kanye had a huge meltdown when he found out she had to wear pink! 🙂
Whether it was required that she wear pink or not, North really looks gorgeous in color! I might get some hate for saying this, but all the dark colors they dress her in really take away from her cuteness and I’ve never personally gotten the fuss. Don’t get me wrong, she has always cute, but it becomes hard to notice when she looks miserable and uncomfortable dressed in drab military green or black with her hair slicked back like a boy. North’s skin tone is really beautiful as well, and I personally haven’t noticed that before because the colors she is normally in don’t do much to showcase that. I love that we’re finally seeing North exhibit some normal kid behavior, and it also makes Kim and Kanye look a lot more human. That video of North riding on her suitcase was adorable, LOL.

Tap is fun but I’d guess that two year olds don’t have the motor skills to really get the steps. I can imagine all the clatter! But it seems like parents everywhere are in a hurry to get their kids into organized activities as early as possible so the dance schools — and soccer clubs, dojos, etc — are accommodating that.
I actually find it refreshing than North doesn’t wear pink all the time like most little girls.

@Franca, How about the fact that North looks uncomfortable in the leather, fur, or even kevlar (the bulletproof vest) outfits they put her in, regardless of color? Is that refreshing? They use her like she is an accessory instead of having any concern for what might actually be something she is interested in. The fact that we now see her wheeling around a “Frozen”-themed suitcase goes to show she is now expressing interest in colorful things, the way all children do. The likelihood that a child would reach for anything in these drab colors they put her in is really slim and eventually they’ll probably have to let her have her own choice and wear things she might actually like. And anyway, she could wear clothing that isn’t pink but leather pants for a toddler? Not refreshing, simply a ploy to try to show how fashion-forward and different they are.
Well Franca, at that age the child’s brain responds to stimulation like colour to help it develop. Some people feel that they are imposing an aesthetic on North that puts her value as a pap prop above her actual developmental well being.

Right. Those are her only 3 choices. When my daughter was a toddler she went through a loooong phase where she wore long, bright necklaces of her choosing every day. SO sweet and so HER! Don’t see North even having that option. The rebellion could be epic!!!
It’s not so much the colors, but the style of clothes they put her in. I hate the stupid leather leggings and bullet proof vests and such she has worn. I tried to stay away from the frilly, pink girly stuff when my daughter was a baby, too, but now that she is five she loves all that stuff anyway.

i think ann means in a masculine way. because most moms dress babies in frilly pastel clothes, so dark colors are seen as more masculine (like a boy) in contrast. i don’t think she means female babies never wear any of those colors, but it’s outside the norm for baby girls, like most mom dresses a boy instead.

That clip is a perfect example of why I don’t think Kanye is controlling Kim. She’s spoiled, narcissistic and manipulative imo. I hate it when people say she is controlled by him. I don’t see any signs of that. the two are similar in personality, Kim just keeps her bad parts on the down low and presents a submissive front, but in reality, she is not imo. @snowflake, I think the reason Kanye gets a wrap for being controlling with Kim is the fact that he was featured on her show making her throw away her entire wardrobe with him insisting that she let him buy her an entire new one. Kim looks like an entirely different person now and we know that it is because Kanye has a hand in everything she wears. That actually IS controlling behavior, but I don’t subscribe to the school of thought that Kim is any kind of victim because she loves it. Kim would go along with anything as long as it brought her fame and attention.
She does dress and look like a totally different person post Kanye. I do have a hard time believing anything that comes from that show is genuine and not a story line cooked up in PMK’s head. Even the thing about Kim buying Kourtney a career reeks of PMK.

I read an interview in which Kim said Kanye prefers her as a blonde, so you can bet he is responsible for her terrible new platinum color. I don’t buy it that Kanye cleaning out Kim’s closet was just a made-for-TV a storyline because if it actually was just for TV she wouldn’t dress completely different since she has been with him. Kim used to have a distinct personal style, which she no longer has.

I have noticed the women’s nike shorts/pants are &*#( compared to the men’s. When at the store you can simply pull them apart and it shows white which is not flattering. I wish they would fix it.
