Charlie Sheen allegedly abused ex fiance, photos surface of her bruised neck

854818463
Charlie Sheen has a long and storied history of abusing women. To mention just a few incidents, he “accidentally” shot his then-girlfriend, Kelly Preston, in the arm in 1990. (Charlie later claimed that Kelly shot herself when she picked up his pants with the gun in them. As if it’s that easy to fire a gun.) Charlie plead guilty to misdemeanor battery in 1997 for knocking his girlfriend, Brittany Ashland, to the floor, leaving her unconscious and bloody. In a subsequent lawsuit against Charlie, Ashland stated that Charlie made her remove and dispose of her bloody clothes and that he threatened to kill her if she reported him. Charlie was arrested for domestic violence again in 2009 for choking and threatening to kill his then-wife, Brooke Mueller. In 2010, Charlie allegedly choked and threatened to kill an adult film star, Capri Anderson. Again, these are just a handful of the countless allegations against Charlie. There are more I haven’t included and there are surely more we haven’t heard about.

That’s why it’s not surprising, but still extremely sad, that photos have come out of Charlie’s ex-fiance, Scottine Rossi, with extensive bruising around her neck. Radar has the photos and they’re set to be published in The National Enquirer. Radar reports that the photos were taken in late March of last year and that Scottie “spent many late nights crying and debating if she should stay or go.” They also have a photo of a broken paned door, presumably punched out by Charlie in a rage. Charlie and Scottie officially called off their engagement in October.

Many people will question why Scottie stayed with Charlie following this incident, which is typical in abusive relationships. Abusers promise the world, swear they’ll never do it again, shower the victim with love and presents, rinse and repeat. It’s hard to escape an abusive partner, no matter your station in life. Scottie was a 20-something porn star dating a rich and powerful man. It it any wonder that Charlie dates young sex workers? Maybe he assumes no one will believe them.

He still surprises me 🙈💕 Yes, his glasses are upside down. #goofycouple #happy #loveit #scottine

    He is such scum.

    • wolfpup says:

Dude needs to go to jail. His nature needs changing, and all men need to know that crime contains karma.

    • Esmom says:

Yes. The bigger question to me is not why she’d stay with him but why would she (or anyone) get involved with him in the first place, knowing his history? The only thing I can think of is money. UGH.

      • homegrrrlll says:

Abusers recruit the “people pleaser” type of female who is typically not empowered financially or emotionally. These men convince this type of woman that it was the fault of “the evil/crazy ex wife/gf” and the new recruit becomes their team member against that ex, and they collude in blame. Then the srolkholm syndrome sinks in slowly and insidiously. The new recruit gets slowly demeaned and her fragile ego progressively more shattered by the abuser until she is so insecure and dependent (financially and or emotionally) that she doesn’t believe she has the power to “make it on her own”. I went through this and still have people who judge me and make fun of me for claiming to be “stuck”. I am happy most women aren’t’ or weren’t’ ever in a position of dependency to leads to this cycle. I’m happy most women “don’t understand”. I don’t wish this first hand “understanding” upon anyone.

      • nic says:

homegrrrlll knows where the blame should lie. With the abuser. Always and entirely with the abuser. <3

  2. Bridget says:

I thought her name was Brett?

After that I’ve got nothing. You get involved with Charlie Sheen romantically, and you’re taking your life into your own hands. All the money in the world isn’t going to mean a thing when he eventually kills you. He is a miserable excuse of a human being.

    • Gabriela says:

      I know, right?

I’m a little confused… Is Brett and Scottine the same person?

      • homegrrrlll says:

Yeah, what happened to porn star Brett who was recruited to harass his ex wife?

    • Sammi says:

Brett Rossi was/is her “stage name” when doing porn movies. Scottine is her real name.

  3. Cel says:

I don’t understand why this guy gets a pass from so many people.

    • OhDear says:

      Seriously. He’s so incredibly vile.

    • Dee says:

I have no idea either. He’s been beating women since the 90s and people cheer him on while screaming “winning” but people are literally ready to assassinate chris brown. Both were wrong but Charlie’s shit list is way more extensive.

    • Nicolette says:

I don’t understand why women choose to be with him.

    • L&Mmommy says:

This is what a lot of people are constantly wondering about him vs. someone like Chris Brown for example. Even people who don’t support him talk/write about him in a much kinder way than CB. I wonder why that is? Hmmm.

      • Gabriela says:

I know people of different races are treated differently in the face of law and public’s opinion, but I think the reason why CB gets more hate than most woman-beaters in Hollywood is because the battered woman in question is no one less than Rihanna, one of the biggest popstars of all time. They were the Britney-Justin of R&B! And those leaked pictures were very illustrative and shocking.
I’m not saying Rihanna should get more sympathy than other abused women, just saying that she did get it because of who she is. And Chris Brown gets most of the hate because of that, not because of his skin color.

    • lensblury says:

Maybe my following thoughts aren’t exactly a revelation, but I think he gets a pass because he used to be a daily guest in so many people’s living rooms.

      a) It may be comparable to buyer’s remorse – “the guy we chose to keep watching can’t be that bad”. It’s like the reaction to Bill Cosby: people, for the life of them, don’t wanna be disillusioned. They turn their heads away, refusing to let it sink in, and hoping it will all turn out to have been just a bad phase, so that eventually they can go back to officially liking him / his character.

And b) His TAAHM character is obviously just as ferociously misogynistic and damaged as the real life CS. Viewers may have fallen victim to tunnel vision concerning both his real-life escapades and his scripted personality – which, in addition to a rather poor standard to begin with, kept deteriorating at a steady rate. His TV character gradually became more vile, reckless and aggressive, but it happened slowly so that not many people seemed to actively notice. I bet some people will still automatically go, “Loosen up, it’s just Charlie! That’s just the kind of guy he is.” when reading about his real-life abusive behavior. So many people really don’t want to acknowledge that he’s a scumbag. It’s easier to tell themselves that in the end he’s just a lost character who needs to be saved; a clumsy loser who ‘may come across a bit rough, but who only speaks his mind, has a good heart, and just hasn’t found the right partner to give his life meaning’. And if not that, at least he’s funny (ugh) and at times self-loathing, which constantly evokes this false hope that in the end he will have a major epiphany, admit to being vile, and, as a consequence, change his ways (just to clarify: that’s just a possible explanation for why people still don’t seem to care; he certainly doesn’t get a pass from me).

I think it’s become increasingly hard for people to tell his written character from his real-life character, that’s why it all plays out so nicely for him. His TV character totally played into his off-screen behavior becoming more “acceptable”. People have been desensitized. Like on the show, his actions aren’t even perceived as surprising or shocking anymore, which is sad and brutal. This guy is a mess, and the worst part is that he’ll keep doing his thing and use this momentum for as long as he’ll get away with it – which, obviously, could take forever.. His actions have been so over the top for such a long time and not many people seem to care.

I think I just realized that his TV character speaks mostly to people who would still make excuses for the abusive type of guy he is.

  4. Chrissy says:

Whenever I see a story about him, only one word comes to mind: VILE. Oh, and UGH. So I guess that makes two.

  5. Kiddo says:

    I believe her.

    • Dońt kill me i'm french says:

Who doesn’t believe her? Seriously!? How many times had he trouble with the police about his violent behaviour with his girlfriends? Too many times since too long time

  6. ToodySezHey says:

This is why you don’t tangle with wild animals and feral crackheads.

  7. JenniferJustice says:

He picks porn chicks because they have low self-esteem and stick around longer after the abuse starts. He also sees women as sexual objects so who better to treat like a sex object than a porn actress? You’d think these women, even though they’re young, wouldn’t get lured in in the first place. Just want to shake them and yell “it’s not going to be any different with you than it was with his last girlfriend!” But they all think they’re more special than his previous ones. There are young women standing in line right now to take this girl’s place but they won’t listen to logic. Apparently they have to learn the hard way. I fear he’s going to kill a girlfriend one of these days.

    • Bridget says:

Maybe she thought it wouldn’t be that bad? Because at this point getting involved with Charlie Sheen can’t be about anything other than financial security, because he is long past his charming days. Now’s he’s a meth-addled @#$ hole.

    • Kiddo says:

Yeah, I know people aren’t particularly sympathetic, here. But a lot of people who get into the sex trade/porn industry have issues to begin with. Some come with abusive backgrounds, so I still see her as the perfect profile of a victim he would choose and why someone like her might be attracted to a guy who has over the top charisma in the beginning, showering attention on her, and so on. And then she is so easily discredited as a ‘whore-gold-digger’ as witnessed, everywhere.

      • Bridget says:

That is his profile. He picks women who are vulnerable or easily discredited. Denise Richards was probably the most ‘together’ of his exes, but even then there was a huge power imbalance in that relationship (which we saw when they broke up).

And I also think there is absolutely no other reason to get involved with Charlie other than for financial security. He’s lost his looks and his charm, and has turned into one of those posters that tries to discourage meth use.

      • Kitten says:

        +1

This dude is such a piece of sh*t.

      • Kiddo says:

@Bridget, You are saying this from the perspective of someone who probably has their shit together. But everyone weighs income or occupation, to some extent, when dating or getting involved in a relationship. Someone who has REALLY low self-worth is going to be dazzled by the attention and riches bestowed upon them and ignore obvious warning signs.

Isn’t that pretty common with domestic abuse victims? I’m not saying I know that she was a domestic abuse victim, but porn actresses aren’t held in the highest regard in ‘polite society’, so that is already one strike down on her standing. Being treated like a queen, if you will, is probably pretty compelling.

      • Kitten says:

        Everything Kiddo said. 100%

Add to that the fact that (and please understand this KILLS me to admit) I can see how some women would find him charming and funny.

*throws up a little in mouth*

        So…

        *Charming/Charismatic
        *Financially stable
        *Glamorous Lifestyle

Yup, I can see why women fall for him. That’s not to take anything away from the predator/prey dynamic that Kiddo describes, I’m simply adding on to her comment that it’s not as simple as a “gold-digging” scenario.

      • Bridget says:

@kiddo: what I’m saying is, he as a person has lost his looks and charisma. Any ‘charm’ he has is connected to his wealth – the “dazzling with attention and riches”. It’s her business if she chose to be with someone for financial security, but I just think that’s the only reason why someone would be with Charlie Sheen at this point. Given how publicly his bad behavior has been broadcast, there’s no way she could have gone into that relationship without knowing that she was getting into what could be a bad situation, but I theorize that she either thought she could handle it, or didn’t realize exactly how bad it really is with him.

Re: the choice of porn actresses. Sheen has long had a thing for them, he was with Ginger Lynn for several years back when he was actually good looking. He chooses vulnerable women; I’ve said it before that he must have been truly awful for Kelly Preston to flee from that relationship directly into her marriage with Travolta. And look at Brooke Mueller: she’s an utter and complete mess. He chose a woman who had been to rehab at least 15 times (when he met her, it’s a higher number now) to be the mother of some of his children. Yikes. He’s been bad news for a long, long time.

ETA: Even if she’s gold-digging (which doesn’t bother me anyhow), I don’t think anyone is saying that he has the right to choke her or hit her.

      • Kiddo says:

Bridget, (my last comment), Looks aside, (and Charlie was once pretty, if you look at old photos), he is also known to be incredibly NICE and gracious to fans. He can be funny and smart. There is a dichotomy with his personality based on how f_cked up and how deep he is into drugs. I would guess that every one of these women dabbled, used recreationally, or were already drug addicts to some extent, before meeting Charlie, which would also be part of the lure: a nonstop free party. My only real concern is that there is a tone of “What did she expect? So now she got her just desserts”- thing, KWIM? I don’t think it’ as simple as ‘she was just looking for his money’, although I assume that that is part of the draw.

      • Bridget says:

I guess that’s the difference, because I think the statement “What did she expect” doesn’t mean that she DESERVES it, though I can absolutely see how it’s read that way and totally see what you’re saying there; after all, we live in a culture where the onus is on the woman to not be abused and to not do anything to make the man abuse her. Just because I think she wasn’t taken by surprise by his abuse doesn’t mean that I think it is any less wrong of him.

Charlie Sheen WAS handsome (I think we all would point to Ferris Bueller) and he WAS charming. But he’s so meth addled at this point, he’s completely lost it. The Charlie Sheen that Denise married and the Charlie Sheen that Rossi was involved with are practically 2 different people, one of which has a lot less teeth and is so drug addled I sincerely wonder how he dresses himself every morning.

    • FLORC says:

No, he picks women who want what he has to offer and will do what he wants/likes.
Not all of his companions/victims have been from that industry. They just “showboat” the most.
And because a woman might work in that industry does not mean she has low self esteem and will put up with abuse or being treated like an object. The majority that are looking for their place there might and get mistreated. Remember Bree Olsen? She’s not a genius, but is shockingly savvy on her image, money, and relationships. She was there as a “goddess” with that model who wasn’t in that industry.

The man is a monster though.

    • JenniferJustice says:

I don’t really see them as gold-diggers. I’ve known women who were in the sex industry. One in particular was easily lured into relationships with older rich men…who ended up treating her badly. I don’t think she was a predator looking for a pot of gold but I do think she was looking for a way out of the industry and he came on like her knight in shining armor who would support her and help her find a different occupation with promises of formal education and support in the meantime. Of course, it was all a ruse. Once she quit and was dependent on him, he turned on her and showed his true colors. So, even though his money was an indirect incentive, it was more about trying to get away from the stripper lifestyle.

Same woman – different man who would send/bring her fur coats and jewelry, take her on extravagant shopping trips, whisk her away for luxurious vacations and such. She was talking one day about wanting to quit stripping/hating it and in the same breath told me all these things this older gentleman had done for her recently and how he cared about her. I couldn’t help myself, I asked, “if he knows you want to quit and he’s rich, instead of buying you fur coats and jewelry, why doesn’t he pay your rent for a year so you can get out of stripping?” She just sat there dumbfounded – like it hadn’t even occurred to her. So, yah, I think some of these sex industry women want out but don’t have a backup profession and think ole Charlie might be their answer.

      • Bridget says:

And so what if they are “gold diggers”? It’s not like these men aren’t attracted to these women for reasons other than their intellect and personality. Why is it so bad to be with a man for money, but not so bad for a man to be with a woman just because of how she looks?

Sheesh, Charlie does choose women that its incredibly hard to sympathize with. I guess that’s the point.

      • JenniferJustice says:

I am sympathetic to a certain point, simply because these women are young and stupid – sorry, but they are.

      • Kitten says:

Are the women the stupid ones, though? Or is Sheen the idiot?

Denise Richards got $7 million from the divorce.

Brooke Mueller will walk away from the marriage with several million dollars, from the $1 million Sheen will pay her to buy her out of their home, to a lump sum of about $750,000, to a 50 percent cut of proceeds from the photos of their twin sons the couple sold to Getty Images.

Let’s face it, these women are probably a helluva lot smarter than Sheen.

  8. Jewbitch says:

Wow, shocking. Said no one. Ever.

  9. Sarah says:

Charlie is one of those guys who I want so badly to like. I want him to turn his life around. I want him to get clean and healthy. I want him to be happy. Then on the other hand, I think he is a vile, disgusting human being who if he wasn’t Charlie Sheen and these women weren’t the sort of women they are, he would be doing some fairly hard time in jail.

    • Naddie says:

You have a golden heart, for real (no sarcasm at all). Me, I don’t want him to turn anything around or be happy, I just want him to pay for everything he’s done.

      • Kiddo says:

I see Sarah’s point. I think Sheen is a classic Jekyll and Hyde when on/not on drugs.

  10. Odessa says:

Imagine him on top of you. I can’t even… He looks so high in the monkey picture.
This guy still thinks he’s hot, so delusional! I Don’t doubt for a second he’s abusive.

    • Kitten says:

Ew! Why would you curse me with that visual?

    • Micki says:

I know it’s gross but if you first imagine Hugh Hefner on top of you Charlie Sheen after that is an improvement.

      • Odessa says:

Ha ha, you are right! A marginal improvement. I just had a baby, so the idea of having sex with ANYONE is repulsive to me.

    • JenniferJustice says:

It’s the crack that makes him think he’s still hot. He has lauded himself for a while as some kind of Adonis in bed……hurl!

    • Tiffany :) says:

So nasty, that is an awful visual! I feel suffocated just thinking about it!

I had that feeling when I saw the Bret Ratner pictures with Mariah Carey, too. Not enough money in the world could get me to allow those men to touch me. Never ever!

  11. Veritas says:

He’s a POS and always will be and will never change.

  12. Sam says:

At this point, you could hear anything about Charlie Sheen and presume it’s true. He sounds like he has a serious impulse control issue – violence, drugs, general bad decision-making. I’d hope he gets some help solely for the benefit of his children, but he’ll probably never do that. I’m glad the girls at least have Denise Richards, who seems to be at least somewhat level-headed. The boys are screwed, though.

    • lemon says:

Denise seems like the only one who could handle Charlie and he let her go. Wasn’t this one trying to boss Denise around early on? I am guessing the women pull away when his moods get off and he tries to control them through violence, and because of his $ he’s had no serious consequences so the pattern just repeats.

Charlie reminds me of my brother except my brother doesn’t hit women . He’s bipolar and has a personality disorder, he just can’t keep it together. Destroys relationships, has zero impulse control, self centered and has no self insight. It’s so sad because it’s an illness. You cant reason with a broken brain. I think Denise sort of accepts this and tries to work with what she can.

      • Bridget says:

It wasn’t necessarily that Denise could handle him, but that his period with Denise also coincided with his successful attempt at a career resurgence and image rehab, but also a prolonged period of sobriety. The drugs certainly don’t excuse his abuse, but his use of his drugs of choice seems to go hand in hand with his violence.

  13. Naddie says:

    This guy is disgusting.

  14. Jay says:

Clicked the radar link for the pics… don’t read the comments on that site. It’ll make you sad for humanity. Almost as disgusting as Sheen’s behavior.

    • BlackJack kitty says:

WOW. You’re right. Had to go read some of the comments anyway. They’re horrific. I can’t believe that SO MANY people think that way! WTH. It really does make me sad for humanity.

  15. Lama Bean says:

Has Charlie lost a ton of his teeth?

  16. Ana says:

This is kind of triggering for abuse victims. It would be better if it had a warning in the beginning.

Having said that, yeah the guy is scum, and he only gets a pass and more women because of his fame and wealth

    • JenniferJustice says:

Like that tagline on the pop station’s news program, “..and let’s see whose not going to jail because they’re famous…”

  17. melain says:

What?! I’m sorry for the girl, but of course he abused her. He’s a sick f#ck. He once shot Kelly Preston. This man should be marked like a condemned building. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!

  18. The Other Katherine says:

Charlie Sheen is a terrible, terrible human being who belongs in a prison cell. End of.

  19. kanyekardashian says:

It’s eerie that I landed on this article because right now I’m watching ‘Intimate Strangers’ on you tube, the 1977 movie about domestic abuse. I just watched Sally Struthers get the crap beaten out of her and right now the husband is going, ‘I’m so sorry, it won’t happen, it’s just that YOU made me so mad’. Yeah, HER fault, not HIS. Most married women stay with abusive husbands because they’ve been financially dependent on them and don’t have work experience to support themselves. Women like Scotti and Capri, they’re porn stars – right there, that tells a man they have very little self-esteem and major daddy issues, so they’ll take his abuse. You aren’t going to see a woman like Amal Clooney putting up with that. But unfortunately, women who degrade themselves for a living send a message to men that they will.

  20. grabbyhands says:

Water is wet, the Pope is Catholic etc, etc. This can’t possibly be a surprise to anyone.

It goes to show that if someone has enough fame and/or money, some people are willing to overlook and excuse anything, at least for a while. While I am glad she has escaped that psycho, I would hope that she reaches out to Denise Richards and apologizes for being such an asshole while she was under the influence of this moron.

  21. jwoolman says:

What might be happening is that in the past, his abusive episodes might have been rare, probably under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, so mainly he was a reasonable partner and the women may have decided that the good outweighed the bad. He does obviously have good qualities as well, when in his right mind. I would be out of there after one episode, but many women are more patient and optimistic.

He also nowadays tends to have relationships with women who have their own problems with alcohol and/or other drugs or a credibility problem for some other reason. (Not the earlier ones such as Denise, but it was really hard to tell what was going on with Brooke, she was obviously so messed up herself long before meeting Charlie and was high as a kite when police arrived while Charlie was sober and cooperative. I still don’t know what really happened, and I think the police were equally uncertain.)

But Charlie seems more manic than not in recent years, so the abusive episodes are very likely increasing in frequency and intensity. In other words, Charlie is getting scarier by the minute…

There is good reason that Denise has always insisted that his visits with their kids be supervised. Charlie is increasingly unpredictable. She wants the kids to have a relationship with their dad, but she isn’t stupid.

  22. serena says:

Let’s not forget he did something like that to Denise Richards too, when she was holding one of their newborn daughters. He’s awful, I don’t really get why a judge won’t send him to jail.

  23. kanyekardashian says:

The two of them are disgusting, putting a cigarette in a dog’s mouth. She’s as low class as he is.
