Angelina Jolie has been declared the hottest mother (shut yo’ mouth) in a new poll. The “yummy mummy” poll was done in the UK, as a way to celebrate Britain’s Mother’s Day holiday, which is this Sunday. American mothers won’t get their flowers and awkward brunch until May, so sad.

Reese Witherspoon and Halle Berry tied for second place, and Gwyneth “The Goop” Paltrow came out ahead of Cate “The Anti-Goop” Blanchett. The joke’s on The Goop, though, because even Katie Holmes topped her. Contact Music has more:

Angelina Jolie is the hottest mum in showbiz, according to a new online poll.

The mother-of-six topped a survey carried out by MSN.co.uk to find Hollywood’s sexiest parent, landing 29 per cent of the votes registered.

Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoon shared second place, ahead of Kate Winslet and Katie Holmes. The full list of ‘yummy mummys’ – compiled to mark Mother’s Day in UK on Sunday (22Mar09) – is as follows:

Even those these lists are pretty inane, I find it interesting that this is the way we’re supposed to “celebrate” Mother’s Day. What does it say? “Thank you, mother, for all you have done, but you’re no Angelina Jolie. You’re not even Katie Holmes.”

I don’t really have any disagreements with the top four women – Kate, Halle, Reese and Angelina are all lovely, and they all seem like great moms. But where’s Susan Sarandon? Where’s Blythe “Mother of Goop” Danner? In other words, can a mummy only be yummy if she’s younger than 42 years old?
