Prince Harry was out and about in London over the weekend. Harry has been in Australia for a few weeks, and he’s already headed back after this weekend’s events. Which means he’s going to miss the birth of his new niece or nephew. Which… is that really a big deal? Harry and William like to pretend that they’re close, but I get the feeling they’ve grown apart a great deal, especially over the past few years. Harry’s spent that time narrowing his focus on the public role he wants to play for decades to come: he will be a passionate advocate for wounded warriors and a hands-on head of his own Lesotho charity. In that same time, William has clung to any excuse to refuse to do any work at all. Harry was in London for the birth of Prince George but he’s not going to change his schedule for this baby, that’s all I’m saying.
Harry will spend a few more weeks in Australia, then he’s doing a tour of New Zealand from May 9-16. Many believe that following that tour, Harry will spend much of the summer in Africa, working with his Sentebale charity and perhaps doing some hands-on volunteering for various NGOs. There’s a very good chance we won’t see much of any of the younger royals for months, as Kate goes on her extended maternity leave, Harry works undercover in Africa and William does… whatever. I mean, William will be working for Bond Air, but that means he won’t have many public appearances.
Meanwhile, did you hear the rumor about Harry and Jennifer Lawrence? This is just a straight up “let’s connect an eligible prince to a random actress” gossip story. They already tried it with Harry and Emma Watson, and now it’s J-Law’s turn. According to Life & Style, Harry was “keen on snagging a date” with J-Law, so he “made his aide invite her out to dinner and coupled it with an invite for her to see Kensington Palace.” Jennifer was apparently all “Nope, I’m sort of with Chris Martin, whatever.” Who in the world would say no to Harry… for Chris Martin? While I could see how J-Law would be Harry’s type (J-Law does have an “American Chelsy Davy” vibe), as Bedhead commented: “Princesses don’t fart.” It’s true. The kingdom would fall if a princess had Dorito farts.

I think Jennifer is a little too real for his family. Can you imagine Jennifer and Kate together during family gatherings? I’d pay good money to be a fly on the wall. Hysterical.
Yeah, Emma Watson at least has a posh British thing going for her. This JLaw rumor is too unlikely to even be fun.
William specially requested to meet Britney Spears once, if I remember correctly, but they were just teenagers so it wasn’t like he was courting her.

JLaw does toot at a fancy palace dinner. The Queen would giggle and then have the corgi walkers quietly escort her out.
from what I’ve heard about the Queen’s sense of humor, she WOULD probably laugh, and then launch one of her own. she’s quite cheeky.
I would imagine she has a great sense of humor. After all she’s seen, done, and experienced in 60 years on the throne. She seems like the only one in the Royal family that would be any fun to just sit and talk with. She’d probably do it too if she wasn’t constrained with so much protocol.
Chris Martin could write me a thousand angsty elevator songs, and I would still turn him down for Harry.
He must know she is with the former mr Goop. I don’t believe this. Although, I would prefer JLaw with Harry…they would be so cute together I’d just wanna pinch their cheeks!
We all live very far apart, but I have not been present for any of the births of my siblings’ children. I always went to see them soon, but I wasn’t there when they were born. Am I a bad sister? Is this a thing?

No seriously GNAT. Personally I think if the family bonds are strong enough you don’t have to be there for every last event. Siblings know you care but just aren’t able to make it.

If you live far apart, you can’t always be where you want when you want. Doesn’t make you bad. I missed my 5 year high school reunion to be with my family when my first nephew was born. We live in Florida, my reunion was in Massachusetts. I was only able to be there when both nephews were born because I live down the street.
I live close to mine and I wasn’t there when she had hers. I was at work and saw her later.
I’m sure you’re a great sister, but yeah it’s a thing for some ☺️. Only one of my siblings has kids. I drove 11 hours to be there each time, but that’s just our relationship dynamic. She really wanted me there and wanted me to stay a while to help her out. I was thrilled to be able to do it…great memories, but my other siblings weren’t there. The relationship between them isn’t any less close, it’s just a different dynamic.
Yea not believable. Neither is this fauxmance with Mr. Goop. Although now Mr. Goop is with Gillian supposedly. Honestly Jen is the tabs favorite target to tie with basically anyone she breathes the same air with (or you know…not in this case). Which I feel bad for her and whoever the next It Girl is *shrugs*
chris has been friends with gillian forever so I think the rumors about them are false while jen and chris are dating And have actually been spotted together if they weren’t one of their team would’ve denied it already since both have done that in the past with hookups rumors.
Harry needs to come back with an African bride, and not a white one either. First because they would make lovely babies, secondly because its ridiculous how homogenous the entire extended family is and thirdly because I would love to see reactions. Prince Philip would lose it ofcourse, the Queen would be like shes fine with it but be a spiteful b behind closed doors and Prince Charles would go into try-hard mode for the cameras.
We haven’t gotten a Harry story in a while which caused me to realize something. When Harry is out of the spotlight, I assume he’s very busy. But when William and Kate are out of the spotlight, I assume they’re vacationing. That’s not an acknowledgment of biases, rather a testament to the importance that Harry places upon his duty as a Prince. He shows that continually.
This reminds me of when she was promoting Silver Linings Playbook and, during a press conference, said something like: “Oh, Prince Harry and I are dating, he just doesn’t know it”.
I guess it’s a slow news month. First Emma Watson, now JLaw… They are going through IMBD, trying to help poor single Harry. Maybe because his ex left him so she could be an actress. Hilarious 🙂
