Duchess Kate & Prince William debut their HRH, Princess of Cambridge

wenn22443625

I’ll give Prince William and Duchess Kate some credit today, my gift to them: this whole second baby thing played out so much better and with so much less drama than Kate’s first pregnancy. I’m very, very impressed that Kate gave birth to her baby girl so quickly, and that she felt comfortable enough to leave the hospital the same day. Will and Kate debuted Princess Cambridge just a few minutes ago. It looked like the baby was asleep! Hopefully she won’t be as loud as her big brother.

Kate wore yellow and white which – surprisingly! – OK! Magazine predicted. They said she would wear yellow and here we are. Kate’s dress was by Jenny Packham. I’m sure it’s already sold out in the past ten minutes. Oh, and Kate’s hair looks fantastic. Seriously. No sausage curls, just sexy waves.

As with Prince George, Kate held the baby first for the photographers, then the baby was put in her little carrier/car-seat by William. He didn’t strap her in, but Kate is back there with the baby, so maybe she’ll do the strapping. Unlike George’s debut, Will and Kate didn’t stand in front of the media scrum for several minutes, answering questions and letting people get a better look at the kid.

Oh, and we’ve already gotten a clarification of Baby Girl Cambridge’s title: Kensington Palace says that she will go by Her Royal Highness, Princess of Cambridge. Meaning that when we find out the name, let’s say it’s Alice, her technical title will be HRH Alice, Princess of Cambridge. Update: LAK says I’m wrong, that it will be HRH Princess Alice of Cambridge. Eh… okay, I guess? But just FYI, everyone will just call her “Princess Alice” without the formality. It will also be exciting to see what new title William bestows on Kate on the birth certificate. After all, it was on Prince George’s birth certificate that William decided – after years of denials from Buckingham Palace – to call Kate a “Princess of the realm.” BP said clearly that Kate was not a princess before then, but after George was born, they had to suck it up. People Magazine and some other sites are still trying to make “Princess Kate” happen. It never really worked though.

Say what you want about the monarchy but this is a beautiful family.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

      So cute.

    • minx says:

Really, a very cute little baby.

    • Natalie says:

The photos are wonderful. It makes me smile to see how happy they are.

      • Sabrine says:

With all the horror in the world, this is so incredibly lovely and refreshing. I loved the baby photos. She has an adorable little face.

    • Pinky says:

Kate looks fantastic. She should try to keep this amount of flesh on her bones (especially her fact). And yes, this is an adorable-looking family.

    • Bilinga Vaissiere says:

One of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in a long while. God bless this precious child and her family. Can’t wait to see George and the Princess playing together as she gets older.
      Cheers!!!! : )

    • Two Degrees says:

Kate looks fantastic. Amazing walking out of hospital a few hours after giving birth. Have to give her total props. Wow,

The little wee Princess is so beautiful. They look ecstatic and rightly so.
My day was made seeing adorably cute Prince George walking in, waving going to see his mum and new baby sister.

These two make some adorable chillin, so sweet.

      Congratulations!

  2. bluhare says:

She really looked great. And the baby is cute already!

    • Splinter says:

Just think, she probably spent quite a lot of time to look so great, hair, makeup, a very stressful day for sure!

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I’ve never had a baby, but I can’t believe she had one just hours ago and she put on pantyhose. I don’t know why, but that just seems like a lot of work. I’d want my jammies.

      • LAK says:

GNAT: perhaps she’s wearing hold ups rather than tights……..

      • kcarp says:

Kate may not know how to work but good gravy the girl knows how to give birth. They say girls steal your beauty but she looks even better.

I thought I was a trooper coming home going to the grocery store the day I came home from a C-Section. I got nothing on her.

      • minx says:

I’m not a royalist at all, but I have to say Kate looks wonderful.
I looked like I had been on a meth bender after I gave birth.

      • Imo says:

        Minx
        Lol!

      • booboobird says:

Yes, GoodNames. I’m in my jammies right there with you. Though the difference with mortals and royals is that next day i have to get hustling while she can lounge in bed. But she truly did look good considering that 11h ago she was cursing everybody trying to deliver 8lb 3oz baby. I wonder how the birthing happens because i was a goddamn mess every single time and i didnt have to worry about keping up appearances.

      • perplexed says:

I think she looks really good (truthfully, better looking than when she got married), but I also think Diana looks good in the old still photos they’re re-running of when Harry was born. So I would think that having a royal team on hand to help out with hair and make-up probably does help a great deal.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

        Minx, you are hilarious

      • FLORC says:

She does look lovely here. Really lovely. It’s the glow.
Yes better hair fixtures and makeup, but that new mom glow as well.

    • Gea says:

Kate looks amazing and petite princess so adorable.

    • Citresse says:

      bluhare
Not only cute, but strong too.
At one point, the princess appears to lift her head.
I thought I saw that but wasn’t sure until viewing the video a second time and yes, it seems she briefly lifts her head.

    • Alice says:

Kind of wondering if she didn’t end up having a C section. My first was born naturally and those babies look like little aliens for a few days until their heads stop showing the effects of having been squished through the “birth canal”. My second was by C section and looked perfect from the get go.

      • HTK says:

Look more closely. The princess’s head does look squished, but it’s mostly covered by the cap.

      • Belle says:

I’m late on this… but didn’t she go home the same day as the birth? Really doubt c-section if that’s the case.

      • CdnKitty says:

@Alice – My last baby was delivered in about an hour (3cm to baby out) and her nugget never molded – she was born with a round little head, so I think in a precipitous birth there isn’t a lot of time for head molding.

Props to Kate for being showered and dressed up and walking so fast. I hope she gets a great babymoon and time to recover.

      • Alice says:

@Cdn: lucky woman! My first was 9 hours of induced labour…and yeah, she came out looking like a Conehead. No one warns you about that, you’re expecting the baby from a Downy Ad. Lol

@bella: re:C section… I imagine if you’re a Royal, the doctors make house calls. You could probably go home, recover there and they’d come to you. Someone else is doing the cooking, cleaning and shopping anyways, might as well be in your own bed with a private nurse in attendance rather than a hospital bed. I’m not sure the time frame in these circumstances would actually exclude the possibility, these people don’t live like you or I.

Anyways, I’m not saying she did have one, but a week overdue baby, 8 lbs and a bit, quick delivery and lack of fatigue make it a possibility to consider. Personally having done both, I would take a C-Section over the hell of induced labour without a second thought if those were my options.

  3. perplexed says:

Did someone else do her make-up? She looks better here.

    • Lama Bean says:

You’re right! I was sitting here struggling to figure out why she looked so much brighter. It’s the makeup! Her hair looks fantastic too, but that makeup is a huge improvement!
      Baby girl is beautiful.

    • Kiki04 says:

Agreed! Eyes look better, I can’t tell but she may have finally ditched the eyeliner 🙂

    • FLORC says:

      Perplexed
Likely. Kate has insisted steadily and early on to do her own makeup. Famously on her wedding day she was said to have wiped off the professional job and reapply it all herself. Comments were she models it after TOWIE style.
Either she’s coming into her own as an adult or allowed someone else to apply it.

And i’ll note this shows her eyeliner to be outside the waterline and not fully applied. To discredit those saying she had it tattooed on.

      • Sea Dragon says:

I haven’t read through the rest of the comments yet so it’s possible this has been said but I imagine she was exhausted enough to shrug and let others apply, dab, curl and spray. I’m hoping she’ll notice the overwhelmingly positive comments on her appearance and allow professionals to do the job from now on. She looks wonderful!

      • Imo says:

        TOWIE? More like Bowie.

      • Perfectly executed Chewbacca sound says:

She got a ton of press in advance of the wedding for doing her own makeup on the day. There was no professional job, though she took professional lessons.

      • FLORC says:

That may be how history is rewritten, but it was so clearly stated Kate removed her professional makeup to apply it herself. It’s still in many of those original articles.
Including the products used by the artists.
And much of it covered on this site if you care to archive dig. Links included.

      • Two Degrees says:

Kate did her own makeup for the wedding, which looked horrible! IMO way too hardlooking on her wedding day.

Daily Mail has a article about the Oscar worthy team she had in after the birth to attend to her, but still I must say Kate looks natural great here, she looks great when she’s pregnant and has a bit of weight on her face and body.

    • mootwo says:

      she’s glowing

  4. Tuffluckcowgirl says:

If this car seat is like mine, baby was already strapped, William just had to latch/snap the seat on to the base.

    • Lauren says:

I’m guessing that the people there saw them put the baby in the seat and not fasten the harness. (Note the photos of Kate carrying the baby and then the baby in the car seat.) Also when the first baby was born they did a terrible job fastening him – they already had a bad reputation in terms of car seat safety so I’m sure people were watching them closely.

  5. TorontoE says:

    Huzzah. They look beautiful!!!

  6. Peanut says:

Good for them!! I know people are harsh on the royals but in this instance I do have some sympathy for them. You couldn’t have paid me to put on make-up and a pretty dress and parade my baby for the world within hours of giving birth!!

    • Lauren says:

Is there a reason she needed to though? That’s the part I don’t get, especially why there was a need to make an appearance in full makeup less than a day after giving birth.

      • enike says:

Lauren, the reason is that lots of people (myself included) wanted to see the new baby and hoped for this kind of introduction (just like with George) and Kate maybe wanted to look good in these pictures?

      • FLORC says:

        Tradition.

  7. Freebunny says:

This yellow dress is ugly but that little princess is adorable.

  8. Shopgirl says:

    Kate looks amazing! Seriously! 🙂

  9. Mich says:

    Awwwwww. Congrats Cambridges!

  10. PinaColada says:

Aw. Very beautiful family. Genuinely. Very happy event band George was so cute, too.

  11. Ana says:

I thought it was a doll, until she moved lol

I watched it live in the DM, and my memory is not reliable at all, because I thought the flowers were at the bottom and not the top. It was a pretty dress…very mommy-like.

If they choose Alice I am going to be angry at myself for not betting on it lol

    • Laurie says:

I’m not betting on Alice either

      • mabel says:

You’d need a heart of stone not to get a bit of joy from these pictures. Fair play to the duchess…. this is the stuff (the photos, I mean) expected from her, and she did it with apparent pleasure.
(I’ve had the amazing Grace Slick/Airplane in my head for 48 hours now: “Go ask Alice, when she’s ten feet tall” from ‘White Rabbit’.)

  12. JenB says:

Love the yellow! Beautiful baby girl! Man, Kate looks amazing- not even a day after. Hats off. Truly a lovely family. Wonder if they will stop at 2 or have a third?

  13. Gia says:

How awkward. Lol. It’s such an overwhelming time…I can’t imagine having to make public appearances and waves t a bunch of strangers on top of it all. She sure is cute for a newborn.

  14. minxx says:

I have to hand it to her: she knows how to give birth. I was a hot mess for a couple of days after and she’s walking around, pretty dress, full make up and not a hair out of place. I know she has help but still.. The baby looks remarkably well not quite 10 hrs after being born.

  15. LAK says:

Kate looks very good today. Best she’s looked pregnant or not in the past 4yrs.

Correction: the example you’ve given with her name, baby will be Princess Alice of Cambridge NOT Alice, Princess of Cambridge.

More importantly, she fits the criteria of Princ(ess) as designated by the letters patent that govern these matters, so her style is definitely Princess + first name.

This baby is a Princess in her own right therefore it is right to refer to her as Princess X, just like her brother.

    • Kaiser says:

Oh, okay! I added an update.

    • yes she looked great
      obvious hair pieces but great

    • *North*Star* says:

And to add to what LAK is saying, you only use a name in front of a title if you are differentiating between people that hold the same title. Generally that’s only an issue with divorceés and widows.

    • Hazel says:

What are the kids’ last names? Cambridge? William & Harry are Wales, Charles & sibs are Mountbatten-Windsor (I think). Just curious.

      • Imo says:

Windsor. The boys were called Wales for school/military etc.

      • LAK says:

Hazel: The royal family doesn’t have a surname. They have a dynastic name which is Windsor. For the purposes of legal situations where a surname is required eg births or deaths, they use the dynastic name as the surname.

Further, HM’s direct descendants use Mountbatten Windsor if they choose. This difference is the result of a concession to Philip’s contribution (literally) to the dynasty. This concession came about in the 60s after a lot of wrangling because no one wanted the royal house dynasty to be Mountbatten as the result of HM (a woman) marrying Philip (a man) as tradition dictates – don’t you love partriachy. It was a sore point with Philip for years that his kids didn’t carry his name.

However, there is an additional optional caveat wrought by their titles where a title can be used as a surname to distinguish between the houses in the dynasty.

This means that Charles’s kids are ‘of Wales’ shortened to WH Wales. Ditto Andrew’s kids are ‘of York’, shortened to BE York. To illustrate this further, if you google ‘Alexander Ulster’ the result is Alexander Windsor, Earl of Ulster AKA the heir to the duke of Gloucester, whilst ‘Alexander Gloucester’ will give you The Duke of Gloucester. They are both Alexander Windsor.

William was granted Cambridge ducal title, he ceased being ‘of Wales’ and became ‘of Cambridge. This means his kids are ‘of Cambridge’, shortened to G + new baby Cambridge.

Same thing will happen to Harry if he receives a title on marriage. If not, his kids will probably use the dynastic surname as their surname like Prince Michael of Kent’s kids who are known as Windsor.

Please note that many legal situations don’t accept the ducal title as a surname no matter that it’s the ‘surname’ that’s been used for years eg when William sued the french pap after nudegate, his legal name was listed as William Mountbatten Windsor rather than William Wales or William Cambridge. Ditto when Anne and Andrew were married, they signed the marriage register as Mountbatten Windsor. Edward’s daughter goes by Lady Louise Mountbatten Windsor.

      • Hazel says:

        Thank you, IMO & LAK.

      • DiamondGirl says:

And Mountbatten was originally Battenberg, but they translated it to be more British.

  16. Sparkly says:

Congrats! They all look so happy, and she’s a beautiful little baby. I hope we learn the name soon!

In the first pic I saw on yahoo, Kate was positively beaming. I mean, she looked darn good coming out to address a nation shortly after her first birth, but she did look tired and more demure that time. I don’t know if she’s just that stoked to have a girl or just a natural consequence of less pressure this time around, but I think that’s the first I’ve ever seen of Kate looking so unabashedly, obviously joyous inside and out.

  17. Olenna says:

The baby is so cute, just like her big brother. Hope the BRF genes never kick in!

  18. anne_000 says:

Do they know who Alice Keppel is? Camilla’s great grandmother who was the mistress of King Edward VII. She was his mistress while he was still Prince of Wales and continued on after he became King. The King’s wife, Alexandra, was popular for her fashion sense and her charming personality. She was devoted to her children.

Any of this sound familiar in the events of the modern day?

Why name her Alice when the name could be a homage to Camilla’s and her ancestor’s roles in disturbing the marriages of the wives, including William’s mother?

    • Question now says:

Certainly Camilla would feel more welcome if she were named Alice. Camilla will be Queen rather sooner than later so we will se when the a**kiss**g will start.

    • minx says:

I think the name Alice was used as an example.
Right? We don’t know the real name yet?

    • LAK says:

Alice was used as an example to illustrate how her title will work.

Further, at this point, who doesn’t know about Alice Keppel? It’s brought up quite regularly any time Camilla’s history is discussed especially when quoting that sassy remark she’s supposed to have said to Charles the first time they met.

Finally, Alice is the name of 3 recent beloved BRF members, Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester (died 2004) and Alice of Battenberg, Prince Philip’s mother (died 1969) and finally Anne, The Princess Royal whose middle name is also Alice.

IF they name this baby Alice, I think those will be the examples they are following.

Now if she really wants to upset everyone, how about Camilla? I think all the Diana fans will have a meltdown if she did!

    • Ally.M says:

They’re more likely connecting the name to the Queen’s Aunt – Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester. She’s who comes to mind when I hear the name ‘Princess Alice’. She always appeared gracious and sweet. She died in 2004 and was the longest living royal.

    • anne_000 says:

The people who are placing bets and setting them up have ‘Alice’ as one of the possibilities.

Like some of you said, there have been other Alices in the BRF, but…. why use it in this case when it has such a connection to Camilla and her ancestor? It’s too close or too on the nose to use in this generation.

I think DM said that Charlotte is now the betting favorite. Better Charlotte than Alice, imo.

      • AnnieRose says:

I agree, Alice is…ugly. Sorry to anyone named Alice, I just really dislike the name. I hope they pick anything but Alice.

      • FLORC says:

Love the name Alice. It’s just a nice, sweet type of name. We all have our preferences though.

    • HTK says:

Well Prince Phillip’s mom was an Alice (of Battenburg). That’s an interesting story. Born deaf, institutionalized for schizophrenia, recovered then became a great humanitarian, sheltering many Jews during WWII in Greece. She founded an order of nuns after the war and is buried in Israel.
Based on that new princess’s astrology, she also has the potential to be a great humanitarian, probably interested in the arts and a free spirit.
Personally I hope not Alice, but a more modern name.

      • Veeve says:

Prince Philips mother was also able to lip read in 4 languages !
I find that feat mind blowing !!

  19. A.Key says:

She’ll always be good ol’ Waity Katie to me!

ps. is it just me or did Kate age 5 years over night??

    • Sayrah says:

It’s just you. Kate looks beautiful and that baby is precious.

    • Laurie says:

It must be you. She must be exhausted from having her daughter this morning and now she’s taking her home. I looked really aged through the first night and week. I wish I had looked this good!

    • luce says:

It’s most definitely just you. Kate looks softer, younger, and the most beautiful I have ever seen her. She is radiant, and I have given birth twice and no royal team of beauty agents could have done that for me at that time.

    • COSquared says:

Nah just you. Please take your pissiness elsewhere…

      • Mirn says:

Wow, people are tripping. It’s a woman giving birth to the newest little welfare recipient, not a god(ess).

    • jules says:

She actually looks much younger than she did pre-pregnancy – you really see it in her face. All the dieting and excessive exercise really aged her but the pregnancy brought back some of the lost vitality. Hopefully she doesn’t dive back into her dieting regime again.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

The woman had a baby ten hours ago, ffs. Give her credit – she looks wonderful.

    • Nikki says:

I am tired of the nickname “Waity”. That was years ago, and what was once amusing just seems like an old, tired, stuck in the past joke. Anyway, I wish I looked as “bad” as she does!! Think she looks wonderful..

      • A. Key says:

Who cares what she looks like!!!

Women are their own worst enemies I swear.

What if she looked rotten with no makeup and bad hair?
Would you withhold your congratulations then!?

I swear women put their own worth too much on appearance, and they do it to themselves!

      • Imo says:

        A.Kee
You seem intent on picking fights over nothing.
She simply said she thinks Kate looks good. A woman can express an opinion about another woman’s appearance (on a celebrity site) without being accused of dragging down womanhood. Besides, she did not attach Kate’s appearance to her worth, as many here have done in the past. Pick your battles.

      • A.Key says:

Nah, Imo, I’m just expressing my opinion like everyone else, it’s just that it differs from the rest. I guess people don’t like to be contradicted.

      • FLORC says:

        A.Key
We’re all free to share opinions. Doesn’t mean they’re kind or correct.
And a difference of opinion isn’t a contradiction because you’re only expressing your opinion and no facts.
        Simply a negative opinion.

      • A. Key says:

You’re right they’re all opinions, but since they’re opinions and not facts they can’t be right or wrong or positive or negative, because they just reflect a point of view.

What’s negative to one is positive to another, so there’s no such thing as a negative opinion – that’s also an opinion, not a fact.

And I thought contradict meant asserting the opposite of what was said.

    • polonoscopy says:

      WORD.

Call her what you want: she’s Kate Middleton – professional clinger. Forever.

  20. Question now says:

I don’t see any roots in Kate’s hair? Quick dye job in hospital?

    William looks uncomfortable.
Did he not get to hold the baby this time around? I remember last time with George they both held him in front of the cameras.

    • sparrow says:

I can still see traces of gray along the part. It also looks like there is a wiglet or bump-it plopped on top of her head.

    • FLORC says:

It was noted she got a day of beauty treatments before the hospital. Few days or almost a week before I think.

  21. nicegirl says:

Congratulations!!! The newborn Princess is a doll.

Best wishes of health and happiness.

AND DUCHESS KATE is too legit to quit.

  22. ann says:

Such a cute baby! Good looking family.

  23. Cindy says:

The girl was born today and now media and twitter talk only about Prince George. He always will be the most important in media and also in monarchy. Poor girl

  24. Citresse says:

Wow, Kate looks just so amazing after less than 12 hours since giving birth!!!

    • Question now says:

Dye job in hospital. Facials and stuff as well?

      • Citresse says:

I don’t know if the exclusive Lindo Wing offers cosmetic services however since Kate didn’t stay overnight, how would the billing work? I can’t imagine a private hospital for the wealthy, with half day rates like a motel. 😉

    • FLORC says:

Maybe i’m jaded on this, but walking out after 12 hours is quite common. it’s a daily site. Rarely do women stay over night after giving birth anymore. No complications means you’re released within several hours.

      • Waitwhat? says:

Walking out after twelve hours is common…where? Here in Texas, if you deliver sans complications vaginally, you stay three days. C section equals a week stay. I’m amazed that she was admitted at 6 am and is walking out at noon. I have so many questions about this..did she not receive an epidural? Did she not tear? No stitches? I’ve never seen a woman push out a baby and walk in heels right after. I’m amazed and very curious.

      • notasugarhere says:

In many hospitals, you are out the day you give birth or within 24 hours – and not by choice. Depends on your health care coverage, but if you give birth before midnight, often you’re kicked out before noon the following day.

      • Trashaddict says:

New Borns’ and Mothers’ Health Protection Act of 1996. Insurance is required to cover 48 hours of care following a vaginal birth and 96 hours following a cesarean birth. Shorter stays are permissible if neither the mother nor the health care provider objects. Although apparently in some states, the state law supersedes the national rule. (Lawyers, any comments?)
There are some moms who want to leave prior to 24 hours and the law does not stop them from doing that.

      • Butterfly J says:

I just had my baby last Sunday. Was released 3 hours after baby was delivered, but I was with a midwife, so I’m not sure whether that was the reason why, or if it’s now common practice to be released as soon as possible!

      • PinaColada says:

It agree, what what. I tried to leave ASAP with both my babies, and they would not release me for 3 days. My babies were slightly jaundice and neither needed lights, both healthy and good ApGAR tests and yet nope, we need to watch the jaundice, can’t go. I had no complications aside from PIH that resolved upon delivery. Still a no for me, too.

      • Lilacflowers says:

12 hours is quite common but it depends on the circumstances, the health of the baby, and the wishes of the mother. The 1996 law that somebody cited requires health insurance companies to cover up to 48 hours for a normal vaginal deliver and a longer period of time for a c-section. Prior to that law, what was known as “drive-by caesarians” were happening in which insurance companies would only pay for 24 hours, no matter what type of deliver or the mother’s health. Now, they have to provide coverage but if mom and baby are healthy, they can usually go home when they want.

@PinaColada, not surprised. No doctor or hospital will risk it with a threat of jaundice. That’s a dangerous situation and indicates potential liver problems. So glad all worked out for you.

      • Carmen says:

@Butterfly: Congratulations on your new baby!

      • notasugarhere says:

As in many cases, what the law states and what happens in reality are often two different things. Friends and family in health care, and the horror stories of coverage and how it is twisted to NOT cover what’s needed are frequent topics of conversation.

      • FLORC says:

Right. Unless there’s a complication with baby or mother they can be released that day.
And yes insurance does have to cover longer than a day. That doesn’t mean if you can and want to leave you can’t. You can and they often do.

      • bluhare says:

The regulation pertains to insurance, nas. It says your insurance company has to pay for 48 hours if you want stay. Caesarians are five days I think. If someone’s insurance refuses to pay using those parameters the insured has a legitimate complaint, and should pursue it.

That only applies to insured plans, though. Self insured plans don’t have to comply with insurance regulations and I just found one just the other day that would not pay for newborn care for the baby when the mom is still in the hospital unless the mother paid premium to cover the baby. Nothing you can do in that case. They’re exempt from the regulations.

And nothing protects women who are not insured.

      • notasugarhere says:

Hospitals are starting to do things like not cover if you catch infection in-hospital or if you fall and injure yourself while in hospital. If it doesn’t pertain to your original pre-approved reasons for being there, they are looking at ways of making you pay out of pocket if they can “blame” your actions for causing X. It is a business, unfortunately, a business with investors and bottom lines. For self-insured or people at companies with a small number of employees (not required to provide insurance), things aren’t getting better.

      • bluhare says:

Hospitals don’t provide coverage; they provide care. If you fall and injure yourself while on someone else’s property then the insurance companies may feel that person/business is responsible. So if you fall at Target, your insurance company will expect Target to pay. That could be the case if you fall while in a hospital, although I can certainly see grey areas there. Same with car accidents. If I got an infection as a result of being in the hospital I would damn well go after the insurance company to pay it and I’ve never ever heard of such a thing and work with employers and their benefits.

      • FLORC says:

        How true Bluhare
Any way to get around payment for coverage. Unfortunate.

  25. taterho says:

Would have been epic if Kate had walked out in sweatpants and a messy bun.

She looks fantastic. Yay baby Princess!

  26. sparrow says:

FFS, just once, can’t her hair be styled so she’s not constantly fussing with it when stepping out into the wind?

    • Citresse says:

Yes, it would have been nice if she wore the half up half down style she wears occasionally. That style looks very nice on her, particularly when she exited hospital after being treated for HG while pregnant with George.

  27. PunkyMomma says:

What a sweet baby. Congrats to them all.🎉

  28. Talita says:

They look so happy and relaxed! Cute little baby!

  29. Rachel says:

Props to her for again NOT girdling up everything to make it look like she didn’t just have a baby. She looks beautiful and REAL.

    • MinnFinn says:

She does look fantastic. And I also like that she doesn’t hide her swollen after-birth tummy but the white blanket strategically hanging loose over her arm disguises it. She didn’t hide behind the flowy blanket with George.

I assume she didn’t girdle up her tummy to prove she was pregnant and there was no surrogate. But what is her thought process in choosing to wear high heels? The only reason I can think of is vanity. She clearly worked out throughout her pregnancy bc she’s in fabulous physical condition but high heels 10 hours after giving birth to walk down steps is imo taking an unnecessary risk. There. I said it. Here comes the pile on me for picking on a new mother.

      • Feeshalori says:

No, I agree with you, MinnFinn. I’d have rather seen Kate in her Wedges of Doom, inappropriate footwear as they are, than wearing those 3-4 inch heels newly delivered of a baby, sore and carrying her infant down those stairs while fiddling with her hair. Makes me crazy over that risky behavior.

      • Citresse says:

        I also agree.
Less risky if Kate had held the baby with both arms, tied her hair back and worn flat shoes.
They’re all home safe and sound. Best wishes to the Cambridges and the rest of the Royal family.
        Baptism on George’s birthday?

      • Hazel says:

I only know this because I saw a video clip recently, but when Kate wore her Wedges of Doom, her ankle rolled over as she walked back up the hospital steps with William & baby George. Her ankle also rolled at the winery in New Zealand (Australia?). So maybe she finally ditched the WoD, at least for those occasions when holding her children.

      • Vava says:

You won’t get any shade from me regarding the shoe choice. If ever there was a time for some cute flats, it was then. The deal is though, she rarely ever is photographed in flats/low heels when standing by William. She looks good in a high pony tail too, and that would have alleviated the hair touching. But overall, she looked fantastic.

I’m wondering if the blanket was the same one that William was swaddled in by Diana the day of his debut?

  30. Goats on the Roof says:

The confusion over Kate’s title is baffling to me. She is a princess by marriage, same as Diana, Sarah, or Sophie. However, because she wasn’t born a princess, she is not entitled to be addressed as one, i.e. “Princess Kate.” In the absence of her husband having a secondary title (Duke of Cambridge), she would be addressed as HRH Princess William–just like Princess Michael of Kent. Or maybe it’s me who’s been wrong all these years…Regardless, many congratulations to the couple and to Prince George.

    • Justme says:

You are right. She is a princess by marriage. Princess William as you rightly say. Duchess of Cambridge is a higher title so she is known by that. Just like the current Duchess of Gloucester was Princess Richard of Gloucester until her husband inherited the title. Now she is just known as the Duchess of Gloucester, but she still is Princess Richard.

      • Goats on the Roof says:

Hmm. It’s my understanding that being Duke of (wherever) is not necessarily a “higher title” as you say. For example, non-royal dukes are lower in the order of precedence than royalty–Prince Harry vs the Duke of Grafton, for instance. It’s just that wives of Dukes are permitted to be addressed as Duchess First Name, whereas princesses by marriage are not allowed this courtesy. Where’s LAK when you need her?

      • Justme says:

If you are a royal Duke that is a higher title than just Prince. You stay a prince, but you use the Ducal title. Prince Harry is currently actually a commoner because he does not have a peerage.

      • *North*Star* says:

It’s not a ‘higher title’ per se but you are elevated from a commoner to a peer which is a great honour. The peerage is a big deal in the UK.

And Harry, Anne, Beatrice, Eugenie, Louise, and James (as are Peter and Zara) are all technically commoners. Royals yes but none of them hold a peerage themselves or are married to a peer.

    • Imo says:

      Duke/Duchess actually carries more weight.

    • *North*Star* says:

      Goats,

The peerage carries an enormous amount of weight and respect in the UK, hence her being called ‘Duchess’ rather than ‘Princess William’. She can go by either but traditionally the British Royals use their peerage title vs ‘prince/princess’. (There’s an historical reason for it too).

For example, Lilibet, after marriage was HRH the Duchess of Edinburgh and Margaret went by HRH the Countess of Snowdon once her husband was elevated to the peerage (and after her divorce went by her divorced title). Marina too was known as HRH the Duchess of Kent until she became a widow. No one forgot they were princesses. Alexandra, however, was a bit different. Her husband turned down a peerage and thus she was known by both her birth title and her married title. So there is some variance.

      Hope that helps.

      • wolfpup says:

What is the concept of honor in Britain? Why do people turn down peerages?

  31. sparrow says:

It was nice to see PW finally offer a hand to help guide KM down the steps.

    • ScrewStewrat19 says:

That kind of freaked me out a little. I would be so scared to walk down steps while holding a newborn one handed. It was nice to see him being affectionate though.

    • Citresse says:

William helped Kate with stairs on their last night in NYC last year. I’m sure he has helped her many times.

      • sparrow says:

What came to mind was their exit down the plane steps in New Zealand, when KM struggled with PGTips, her dress flying up to her waist, and hair everywhere. Instead of offering a helping hand safely down the steps, PW paid her little attention.

      • FLORC says:

        Citresse
He might havehelped her down stairs before. We’ve just seen him far more often not do so. Walk ahead, look away, or just not touch her in heels on steps.
She it seems like it’s a very rare thing.

    • Kiki04 says:

Those new PR people are earning their keep 😉

    • Hazel says:

But it looked to me as though she pulled back her hand as quickly as possible.

      • Feeshalori says:

I noticed that as well. The couple barely reached the bottom of the steps before it seemed that William released her hand and she fussed with her hair

  32. Bess says:

Princess X is going to grow up to be one tough little girl. She’ll need to be to keep up with big brother George.

  33. Sixer says:

    My new favourite tweet:

“Voice over helicopter shots of the Royal car: “the Duke and Duchess will now be asking for privacy”. Truly monarchy rots the brain.”

    • frisbeejada says:

Doesn’t it though, I’ve been refraining from commenting on this post but the bit of coverage I’ve stumbled on has been the usual obsequious pile of cr*p. And we’ve got the election to look forward to next week, lovely.

      • Sixer says:

Just for you, my favourite gobby tweeter/YouTuber, Chunky Mark, doing a delightful stream of leftie consciousness, in which he manages to link HM to BP extracting free oil from Iraq, describes the crown jewels as a load of hats, says HM wouldn’t let Kate use cerise Dulux paint on her cornices, and many other hilarities: http://twitter.com/chunkymark/status/594578637690642432

“Royal babies don’t grow on trees, you know!”

        (Beware mucho swearing).

      • A. Key says:

        Hahahahahaha, I love this guy!!!

      • frisbeejada says:

Thank you just caught that (late as usual) but that really made me laugh – thank god something can in the middle of this debacle.

  34. Citresse says:

I really hope they name her Victoria.

    • notasugarhere says:

Does anyone remember Queen Victoria’s request/demand about the names Victoria and Albert? I know she had some quirk about that.

      • Nic919 says:

I know she wanted her son to use Albert as his regnal name but he decided against it and went with Edward. Victoria had a daughter named Victoria so I am not sure if a great great great great great grandmother’s opinions matter at this point.

    • Mrs darcy says:

that will be amazing, since the baby shares her birthday with David Beckham..& then to be called Victoria :/

  35. Jess says:

Good god Kate looks amazing and I can’t believe she’s up and about! What an adorable baby:)

  36. applapoom says:

The cheeks on that baby, so cute, just like Prince George. LOVE

  37. Krishan says:

Baby girl looks like a Windsor. In a close-up photo of her in her carseat, she looks a bit like the Queen lol.

Also has red hair, I think. She is cute!

  38. bettyrose says:

Got home from Avengers just in time for the reveal. They look truly happy. My first thought was “how is she so pulled together after just giving birth?” But she has every motivation to power through the exhaustion and return to the warmth of her luxurious surroundings. No shade. I’ve always been honest that I envy a life in the English countryside.

As for Kate’s title, as far as I’m concerned, she’s done more than William for the royal family, delivering two beautiful healthy children -and by all accounts giving them a loving home in which to grow into emotionally healthy adults. Whatever criticism we have for her, she’s equally entitled to be called princess as he is Prince. Her blood now flows through royal veins.

    • Imo says:

Never thought of it this way but you’re right. Hope you enjoyed the movie!

    • Nancy says:

Royal veins? Are they different than mine?

This is all a bunch of poppycock! I mean, congrats on the new baby, kudos to her for getting up, and looking so good. But really…such ado about a baby. It’s all ridiculous.

      • bettyrose says:

Seriously? I thought the point of this thread was to discuss the royal baby. It’s not like we hijacked a thread on cold fusion to gossip about the RF. And my point was that if royal privileges are granted by right of birth, at this point Kate should be just as entitled as Will.

I could just as easily go on an anti-monarchy rant, but that’s not the point of this particular thread.

      • A.Key says:

“I could just as easily go on an anti-monarchy rant, but that’s not the point of this particular thread.”

It’s kind of hard to avoid though, wouldn’t you agree? I mean the thread is titled “Duchess Kate & Prince William debut their HRH, Princess of Cambridge”. How in hell do you avoid the ridiculous titles and undeserved privilege? We wouldn’t be talking about this little girl if her father wasn’t a future monarch. And yes I can’t believe I’m writing this sentence in the 21st century.

Don’t you find it disconcerting how much attention these two ordinary people are given just for reproducing? And all the frenzy around it, like it’s the second coming!

It’s just another person born on the planet.

      • bettyrose says:

        A. Key – Totally. No weirder than the Kardashians or whoever else, though. It’s escapism. No more, no less. But while this thread didn’t lend itself to criticizing the very existence of the monarchy, I did challenge the absurdity of denying Kate an equal title with William when she’s doing more to further the interests of the monarchy than he is.

      • Jib says:

bettyrose, I held my opinion until the comment of Kate’s blood flowing through royal veins. Really. So absurd! That new baby, cute as she is, and George, and William and Harry all have normal veins, and are normal human beings. I can’t believe in 2015, people say that kind of stuff. “Royal Blood”? What does that even mean?? It’s hilarious!!!

William got lucky being born to his father. Kate got lucky marrying him. George and this baby will live a live of luxury and privilege unknown to 99.9999999% of humanity because of the luck of the draw. It has nothing to do with “royal veins.” And shamefully, William doesn’t even earn it.

    • notasugarhere says:

      +1 Nancy.

    • bettyrose says:

Really? It wasn’t my finest work of irony, but c’Mon. The RF and some portion of the population truly believe in royal blood as justification for their existence. For brevity I used an easy phrase to convey my meaning (I.e. that a non blood royal who produces blood heirs oughta get her piece of the pie if they’re gonna take this blood thing seriously) and it’s like I’ve incited a revolution. Me a simple left-leaning geek chick from California whose ancestry and attitude is totally unsuited to royal marriage. 🙂

      • epiphany says:

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of one’s bloodlines and ancestry. You mean to tell me Barack Obama isn’t proud that he’s related to Abraham Lincoln? I for one am not the least bit jealous or resentful that these people can name their antecedents from centuries ago. Being a peasant, no one kept track of my ancestors, so I think it’s pretty cool. Does it make them elitist snobs because they probably think they’re better than me? It probably does. What do I care? I know we’re all equal at the end of the day. I don’t let such things prey on my mind or spoil my fun. Let the royal blood flow!

  39. Feeshalori says:

Great pictures, Kate looks lovely and Dad looks very proud. And that’s a much better view of the little princess in comparison to the little that we saw of George when he left the hospital. I guess that’s the last we’ll be seeing of her for a long while unless Mike Middleton gets handy with his camera again for a family photo.

  40. Vava says:

Kate looks really good here, and that baby is darling. I think this is the best Kate has looked since before the wedding when she dieted so much.

It’s difficult to imagine going through this routine, dressing up and presenting your newborn to the press pack. I think they should change this tradition and just let the family go home and supply photos at a later time.

Dress is kind of cute and I don’t even like yellow.

  41. #Ohmypink
    i think she looks great
finally a princess that will dress cute and help out the economy
congrats to the two of them

    • Jib says:

That’s a big job for the baby, to help out the economy. How will she do that?? Do you think she will stand at the gates of the palace and charge passersby for a wave or a kiss??? How much do you think she can bring in doing that?

    • FLORC says:

Likely they will heavily restrict the public from seeing their daughter as they did with George. And those cute dresses will be many, but they will also not be seen. The numbers do not support the Monarchy bringing in more money than any long gone monarchy. The difference is an existing monarchy can still spend much more, use more and in the end cost more.

  42. Anastasia says:

She does look great, but a fresh dye job, a wiglet at the crown, and a makeup job helps. I guarantee you she got in jammies or similar when she got where ever they’re staying these days.

    Very cute baby.

  43. Kiki04 says:

I just have to say I’m a bit surprised to see her not spend at least one night in the hospital! I’ve never had a baby but I’d want to be there atleast overnight to make sure things were all good after a baby. But I guess if anyone has good medical access at home it would be her……..

    • Tiffany says:

Trying to get in the goodwill that they can before the lazy stories come to roost again.

      • puffinlunde says:

It’s pretty normal in the UK to leave hospital 6-12 hours after giving birth to a second child if there are no complications. There is a strong home-care tradition as all new mums get daily home visits from midwives for 10 days after giving birth. After what happened last time with the media tricks they probably wanted to keep the time to a minimum

  44. Kiyoshigirl says:

Kudos to Kate for bucking up and posing for the cameras. She may not work much, but she gives good baby pictures! Regarding her appearance. Every birth is different. I definitely think where and how you give birth makes a huge difference. I was a mess after giving birth to my daughter in a busy, loud teaching hospital with 15 interns looking on, nearly went into shock because they weren’t prepared for the crazy pace at which she delivered. On the other hand my son was born in a small local hospital that offers “boutique” style birthing experience complete with lobster tail dinners for the parents. The process was controlled and calm. I came out of that birthing room with full makeup and every hair in place…LOL! Go figure, my daughter’s life is full of highs and lows and my son seems to keep an even keel every step of the way.

  45. Lucy says:

Beautiful baby girl. Congrats and blessings to them!!!

  46. Happymama says:

I just gave birth to a baby girl 5 days ago and man do I wish I had stylists to make me look that good. She looks amazing! So jealous!

    • OTHER RENEE says:

      Congratulations on your new blessing!

    • bettyrose says:

      Wow, congratulations!

    • Olenna says:

Congratulations, but please don’t feel bad. With a retinue of stylists and hairdressers at your beck and call, I’m sure would you have been royally presentable as well. Best wishes to you and your little one!

      • Happymama says:

Thanks all! It’s a crazy time but of course I’m still checking celebitchy when I get a chance. Gossip addict!

    • nicegirl says:

Congratulations to you, Happymama! Sending you and your new baby blessings and best wishes for a full night’s sleep.

  47. jules says:

What a lot of pressure to deal with at an already stressful time — press camped outside the hospital where you are to give birth and waiting there with baited breath for the departure from the hospital, taking note of every detail (hair, clothes, make up, etc.).

Even though she obviously got the “royal treatment”, I wouldn’t want to have to deal with that. At least she can take solace in the fact that for the next several months (at least) she is “off duty” and cameras and press intrusion will cease. I wonder how long it will take before we see a “candid” twitter shot? To be continued…

  48. Quincy says:

I know you were trying to be nice, Kaiser, but I don’t think the speed with which someone has a baby and is released is praiseworthy. Some deliveries are long and difficult, no matter what you do. Some are traumatically drawn out and require long hospital stays for baby and/or mother. Women don’t need another unrealistic standard to measure themselves against.

Yes, she looks incredible given the circumstances, but parading the baby and Kate immediately following the birth is so invasive to me. And congratulating her for it makes it even worse.

  49. Katebush says:

No doubt about it Kate does look great!

  50. L says:

“[T]heir HRH”? Their Her Royal Highness? When bad grammar happens to good posts…

  51. Suzanne says:

Forgive me…but William is such a DWEEB….I couldn’t even imagine that crawling all over me to father a princess. Ugh! She was chasing him for all those years? He should have been falling at her feet. LOL They sure make pretty babies…I’ll say that much for him!

    • Deedee says:

Just relax and think of England. LOL

    • Vava says:

      LOL…………..
      the lights were probably out.

You’re right though, William has not aged well. He used to be quite handsome, but clearly Kate looks better than he does these days.

    • jules says:

LOL your comment made me giggle!!! I know plenty of men 45+ that look better, but more importantly, William has a less than endearing personality. Laziness, selfishness and apathy are not appealing qualities.

  52. Alix says:

LAK is right, the baby will be “HRH, Princess (Name) of Cambridge”.

  53. M.A.F. says:

That is the new standard now isn’t? Give birth then they kick you out ASAP instead having you stay for a day or two? I still say one should stay put regardless of how well the birth went because you never know.

Glad mom and baby are doing well though.

  54. Snowpea says:

I had my beautiful baby 6 months ago (my third) and in the pics, I’m wearing old pinktrackies, my hair is matted and my big saggy belly hung over my knickers! I also got pushed out to the car in a wheelchair ha ha

Kate looks bloody awesome – but what I wanna know is – how the hell did she do it?!

    • A. Key says:

Her husband has more money than you, that’s how.

      Congrats on your baby!

      • notasugarhere says:

It is the Duchy (taxpayers) not her husband, but the point stands. When you have a $300/hour hairdresser fix your hair before you walk out the door, you’d better look good.

      • FLORC says:

        A.Key
William is well known to not spend his own money. He’s made a reputation of this. On vacations, purchases. Many times he’s held out over spending his own cash.

On top of that his father Charles picks up every bill the Cambridges might have. Kate’s jewelry s purchased thanks to Charles. Homes, staff, all covered by tax or other funds, but never William or Kate.

This is because William is a pilot. It’s his only income true. The savings and trust funds are held seperately for safety. Should there be a divorce Kate would only be able to go after his pilot salary. Charles has the Duchy. He’s well off.

So, while William has a lot of money he never spends it. What you assume here was purchased by William was actually a combination of Charles, tax funds, and nothing more.

      • Swiss Miss says:

Not sure why you’re getting piled on for a good joke.

And worth pointing out that many women get their hair done in hospital after giving birth. It’s not uncommon, and not limited to lazy Duchesses. A manicure, pedicure, facial, and haircut are often done in the days leading up to birth or immediately after because so many photos will be taken.

(and FLORC I swear you have spies in the royal family. You write with such confidence that what you say is true. Keep it coming!)

      • FLORC says:

This is all very public information supported by many sources. Including deceased, but widely accepted royal insider.

I’m not stating anything that hasn’t been confirmed and accepted.
So, no. No spies. That would be silly.

    • Hazel says:

She had a glam crew–a whole team of people helping her, both her & the baby.

    • Vava says:

Snowpea, congratulations on your new baby! If you had the staff and finances at your disposal you’d look as great as Kate did when she presented her baby to the world.

  55. jmho says:

I wonder if Kate is ticked off that her hours old baby is a princess and she’s STILL not a princess …. officially

    • Swiss Miss says:

Kate is a Princess. Her titles are both Princess William and Duchess of Cambridge.

Suggesting that a new mother is “ticked off” about her baby’s titles just gave me my first honest chuckle of the day. Sure. Sure she is. 🙂

      • FLORC says:

I’m sure she means her own princess. Not like princess William, but Prncess Kate. And no. I don’t have spies telling me what jmho is trying to state 😉

      • Swiss Miss says:

Ha ha! Do you have eyes on all of us, FLORC?! I swear I’m not wearing a wiglet or photoshopping pictures of myself right now. I swear! 😉

  56. Liberty says:

    WBaldtop: Here! Catch!

DK: Wheeee! So, sir, what do you think about the names me mum and I picked?

WBaldtop: Lulu Carole Didi Harryette Buttercup Mayweather Lizzie?

DK: Lulu like my poor dad’s favorite singer and it’s so cute and reminds me of Lupo too! Carole for me mum, of course; Didi for your mum but more fun that way! Harryette for her uncle since he was all “name it after me, you old Huns!” so I am like all, OK! Ha ha ha , right? Then Buttercup from Princess Bride which me mum and I watched every Thursday for years while we thought of meeting you, and then Mayweather since it’s May the second and really so nice outside and me uncle Gar’ won ten million quid on a stunning fighter across the pond and he’ll give me and mum twenty percent, for the shopping and what not! And then, okay, Lizzie for your gram, except it’s more seriously cute like Pride and Prejudice, which is my honking favorite Kiera Knightly movie ever, really!

WBaldtop: Look how good I look in blue in the pictures! People like me as much as G-boy in these photos, look at their faces, they think I’m still adorable! What did you say? Sure. okay! And we should have her called what in a public on a daily basis? Bloody boring press office asks us in this daft form I have to fill out?

DK: I dunno, you pick! Your dad’s the king or something, you say what should it be, sir!

WBaldtop: Righty ho, I was thinking, what about, “Lady Diana the English Rose”? That should count for ten public goodwill workish thingies a month for us right off, while we’re still buttering our toast soldiers.

DK: Yes, but, I say, will your dad mind? Only asking because you know, massive clothes and shoes allowance?

WBaldtop: You want to have to do as many dreadful workish thingies as Mister Perfect Harry the Ginger Vom the next 20 years? Or you want to make the commoners happy upfront, so you can get back to the high street and I can be on choppers or off to enjoy Spain? Plus you’ll have that Mayweather wedge coming in anyway, right?

DK: Well, right, then! Lady Diana the English Rose she is! Aww coo, it’s lovely! And think of it: English Rose tea party sets!! Balloons too!

WBaldtop: Trust me, this is what spares are for! She’s, well, George’s Pippa now!

DK: Oh you’re still such a tease! I know, let’s have the staff pierce her little ears and pop in your mum’s pearls for the official photo! Oh, this is such fun! Look, I think dear Lulu’s smiling!

      Hooray!
      I’ve missed your wit Liberty!

    • Swiss Miss says:

Yes! Liberty your stories have been missed, what ho!

    • Carmen says:

You should do stand-up. That was hysterical.

    • Tough Cookie says:

Awesome!! Thank you, Liberty!! So many gems….”George’s Pippa…” LOL

    • Olenna says:

Excellent! Buttercup, Mayweather and your uncle…hilarious!

    • bluhare says:

Where have you been, Liberty??? I’ve tried to do a chapter but I just can’t do it!

    • Imo says:

      Choking hazard! Too funny!!

    • Liberty says:

hi and thanks! 🙂 Sorry, bluhare, I got weary of trolls/ creepers last year, but couldn’t resist on this momentous occasion. Have been enjoying your comments and LAK’s, etc. from under my little hedge, though. Hope everyone is doing well! Cheers anyway to the little princess! And I agree with everyone saying that Kate is looking good! a bit more weight really becomes her.

Cute baby. This baby has been the best thing for them in months. All praise and love for kate and William. Wonder how long it will last.

  58. Tulip says:

Congratulations on the beautiful baby to both the royal family and to all the posters who have also just welcomed one! What a great group:)

  59. Green Is Good says:

Kate looks amazing, given that she just gave birth! And she looks so much better with some meat on her.

  60. Sopha says:

Silly question – if her name is Catherine, why do we call her Kate and not Cate?

    • FLORC says:

It’s been covered before. It’s just a preference in spelling. her name can be spelled Kate/Cate/Katherine/Catherine. All simply a preference.

And Pippa is a nickname as well. Philipa I think.

      • Salsgal says:

Philippa Charlotte, which is why the baby won’t be Charlotte, despite the bookmakers.

  61. Feeshalori says:

Carole and Pippa arrived at KP today to visit the baby, once again getting the jump on Charles and Camilla, looking glum and stone faced. Mike came after C&C and separately from his wife; what’s up with that?

    • Liberty says:

Maybe he lost his baby wager. “A boy!” And then found out he lost another 200 because they’ve switched out on the name on him. Dammit all! Drive yourself, Carole!

  62. Jayna says:

Kate is always prettier in the face when she has baby weight on her. Her face looks more pinched when she gets so thin. I always thought she looked great back in the earlier college days when she wasn’t so thin, had a great athletic figure. And her face because of a few more pounds was prettier, and I thought her body looked better. Ever since the engagement she has stayed very thin, except when pregnant.

  63. Messenger says:

this is a perfect name for the little princess her own identify but with respectful inclusion of important family members. she looks like a sleeping angel and i have a baby love for her brother that borders on the irrational. these two are lovely parents and i look forward to seeing them out and about with their children in the same way i enjoyed photos of the little princes harry and william with their beautiful mother. some traditions should endure. welcome to the world princess charlotte!
