Last night’s BET Awards were notable for a few moments. P. Diddy fell into a hole onto the stage, and Janet Jackson received the Ultimate Icon award (to coincide with her upcoming album release). What everyone’s talking about is how Rihanna sat next to Floyd Mayweather for much of the show. She also teasingly toyed with a roll of duct tape. Then Rihanna bound Floyd’s hands with a bandanna and taped his mouth shut. Here’s a clip.
This was a scripted moment by BET, so what does it mean? One could take it as commentary. Floyd Mayweather has an extensive domestic violence record, and Rihanna still has to deal with the Chris Brown fallout. But the execution of this stunt was too jokey. Rihanna also sang along with Breezy’s performance, so she wasn’t in a serious mood at all.
I’m including more photos of Rihanna, including pictures from her recent Tokyo fashion show appearance for Dior. There’s also a photo of her with rumored hookup Karim Benzema, a Real Madrid footballer. Oh, and here’s the teaser trailer for Rihanna’s “BBHMM” video, which arrives with violent implications.

I don’t know when people will stop expecting Rihanna to comment on domestic abuse against women. She defends Chris, her own abuser, so no she’s not commenting against Floyd. In fact I believe she’s supported him at fights before.
Yeah we’d all like it if it were different but she’s one of the many who turn a blind eye and deaf ear.
It was just a set up and promo for BBHMM, same with her throwing a stack of bills at Stephen Hill.
Yeah, after her father publically called her fat and talked about how her family all loves C. Brown and wants him back in her life, I could see why she has issues cutting off abusers.
Her father called her fat?

I didn’t know it too. In the link, we can see he even says that “everyone is entitled to make mistakes” and “God knows he’s made his”. I’m shocked. Jaw still on the floor.
No opinion on the duct tape, but she looks adorable in the Dior.
Yes! I love that outfit even though the dress is too youthful for me but I can still rock those shoes.
Is she singing BBHMM because she can’t afford pants or a conditioning mask for that hair? Gurr, your hair looks more fried than a KFC all you can eat buffet.
The color isn’t good for her.
In what pic does her hair, correction weave looks fried?
The most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. Loooove her ❤️
I agree. Or okay, second most beautiful (Angelina is still number one for me). But Rihanna is GORGEOUS too!
She does look beautiful here.
She is Rihanna. ‘Nuff said. I still think she should just give up this music crop career and be a supermodel for once. That is better lucrative than singing nonsense.
Dear Lord the shoes with the Dior outfit are atrocious.
They should be set fire to immediately.
What can we expect from Rihanna, anyway.
Ri is gorgeous, but I can’t imagine what really goes through her head when she has to watch Chris Brown onstage. But Diddy falling into that abyss was one of the greates things I have ever seen and it is proof that the universe has a sense of humor.
TMZ has film of Rhianna going into a club and Chris B. going in three minutes later.
She was sitting with the football player, but, they all left the club within a minute of each other….. WTH is going on with her? Maybe nothing, just looks dicey…..
So…. No one is going to comment on the fact that the trailer is 1:47, but the song is all of 3 min long (with the last 30 secs or so just musical background)????
I can’t wait for this Video. Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) is supposed to be in it. They shot it about 3 months ago.
Well NOW I’m excited, Geez that man is amazing in the way im sure he’s a great guy but he’s utterly terrified me.
Pretty sure the tape and Floyd was just promotion for her song. That football player does not look her type at all. I bet that was a PR stunt for his side or hers maybe. As far as her relationship with CB, I guess its her business. She knows him better than any of us who judge them.
