He has a Mark Ruffalo vibe. Nice!

    • minime says:

ahah my first thought looking at the thumbnail was “Mark Ruffalo is looking different”…the photos definitely give that vibe.
      I like him, he’s a fine actor!

    • Matador says:

Mark Ruffalo without 9/11 trutherism. Win!

ETA: Someone downthread said he’s a 9/11 truther too. WTF?!?!??!

    • Xxxxxxx says:

Yup, something between Marc and lenny krawitz

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

He used to be on “Rescue Me,” nothing like a series about hot firemen. He was definitely sexy on the show, but my favorite, outside of Denis Leary, was Steven Pasquale..so cute. 🙂

  2. Mel M says:

    Non-beardy every time.

  3. Kit says:

    He’s hot but also a 9/11 truther. :/

    • bettyrose says:

Is that good or bad? I find 9/11 truthers a little annoying at times but I don’t necessarily think they’re wrong.

      • cr says:

I understand why there are 9-11 truthers, but when I listen to them, most of what they claim as ‘fact’ isn’t.

      • bettyrose says:

CR, there’s a mixture of fact and hysteria in trutherism. But even in the early days post 9-11, I always felt like certain things didn’t add up. I respect that there are people who keep the discussion alive, even if some factions are over the top.

      • cr says:

I’m not inclined toward conspiracy theories. I know that conspiracies do happen, but most of the 9-11 truthers go way too much out there for me to even go ‘I can see that happening’. An awful lot of ‘conspiracy’ isn’t conspiracy, it’s straight up stupidity and incompetence. And for a lot of events there will never be complete answers. And I think for a lot of people that’s not the answer they want to hear.

      • Matador says:

It’s one thing to think we don’t know everything the government knew about 9/11; it’s another to subscribe to the theory that it was a U.S. government planned attack, complete with bombs pre-set in the towers. That’s nutterism.

      • bettyrose says:

Do truthers by definition blame the U.S. government? Or is it about learning “the truth”? I don’t think a widespread conspiracy is even possible (credit to West Wing for pointing out people can’t help but gossip, so conspiracies are unlikely). But it changed our culture so dramatically, I think it’s fair to continue asking questions.

      • jwoolman says:

Fact is, in modern times you don’t need a big conspiracy to do a lot of harm. Think of what a single hacker can do to paralyze the net and businesses around the world.

In the 9-11 case, for example, someone in government didn’t need to plan it, just wait for the opportunity and make sure certain things didn’t happen to prevent it. Wouldn’t take much. That damnable Patriot Act was zipped into place pretty fast, and within two months more civilians were killed by U.S. forces in Afghanistan than the hijackers killed. The rest of the world was baffled by our response. Then Iraq was bombed and invaded and occupied, baffling the world again, and plans were made for permanent U.S. military bases there (something wanted for a long time, especially since Saudi Arabia was such an uncomfortable place for US personnel). They probably didn’t anticipate the destabilizing effect of getting rid of the secular government in Iraq or that religious extremists would fill the void, or that the U.S. occupation would be the best possible recruiting tool for Al Quaeda.

Back home, the way the Towers fell had some mysteries that have not been explored, and people who ask questions get dismissed as conspiracy theorists. There are a lot of other mysteries about 9-11, a lot of normal procedures that were not followed. Collective incompetence? Amazing coincidence? Or were things given a little boost by a few people in the right positions who had been watching and waiting? A “think tank” report had pointed out earlier that a serious terrorist attack would be needed to get some of the changes desired by the Bush Administration, including things in the damnable Patriot Act.

I don’t think we can entirely reject the possibility that there was some direct involvement also, looking at the targets. The part of the Pentagon hit was new and so there were fewer people there. Luck or not? The Prez was conveniently out of town. We saw tremendous manipulation of events in Iraq by the U.S. during the occupation and the CIA is infamous for orchestrating various types of murder and mayhem abroad. It isn’t hard to imagine that such activities could be happening at home, also. Our Vice-President at the time and the President’s father had been heads of the CIA.

It has often taken many years for even part of the truth to come out about government activities, here and elsewhere. A small group of people don’t always have trouble keeping secrets when it is in their best interest.

    • JWQ says:

Ugh. That automatically kills any possible admiration I might have. Ugh again!

      • StormsMama says:

Just want to add he WAS A FIREFIGHTER ON 9/11 for real

He was in the doc that was being shot by the French guys (who got the only footage of first plane hitting)
It was after all that trauma, loss and yes FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE at the towers that he decided to pursue acting.

Also want to add that people who completely dismiss “9/11 truthers” – when pressed for facts- rarely stray from the official story. In my view, 9/11 truthers are doing research and putting pieces of the puzzle together despite ongoing character assassination and ridicule. If you completely dismiss truthers, you probably have never read Solving 9/11; studied physics or chemistry; taken an interest in structural engineering or architecture; or even read the Commision Report (no mention of bldg 7 collapsing?!).
But the “truth” of 9/11 is far more sinister and complex than “conspiracy” or “gossip” and anyone who stood to gain did and anyone who dared speak was silenced one way or another.
Dismissing truthers continuing insistence that there is much more to the story does NOT make truthers incompetent or stupid. Not all those who question Are wearing tin foil hats.

      • Fatty Cakes says:

Do you maybe have him confused with someone else in the cast of Rescue Me? I could have sworn he was into acting when he was in college and moved to NYC specifically to be an actor. And I don’t remember ever reading anything that said he used to be a fireman for real. I feel like that story is familiar, though, just not Sunjata’s story.

    • Matador says:

      UGH. WHY?

    • LeAnn Stinks says:

So was his character on “Rescue Me.” They wrote it into the show because of his own beliefs. It made for an interesting “dialog” in the firehouse.

  4. V4Real says:

Been on my radar for years. He was the FBI agent in the Dark Knight rises and the fashion designer in The Devil Wears Prada. Former soap star who has luckily made it to films. Love the beard on him, he’s too pretty clean shaven.

  5. Norman Bates' Mother says:

Ugh, that guy. I don’t know why but he annoys me like no other. He looks very hot, but when he opens his mouth in the movies or shows, I have to fight the urge to turn off the tv. His manner of speaking and the faces he makes just make him unwatchable to me.

  6. clairefr says:

He reminds me of Santiago Cabrera but Santiago is even better looking and, by the way, should be the subject of posts more often (I could settle for a Hot Guy Friday). 🙂

  7. AlmondJoy says:

James Holt on The Devil Wears Prada 😍

  8. WallFlower says:

Love Michael B. Jordan. Didn’t realize his mom had Lupus. That had to have sucked for him and his siblings. I hope he gets more roles, and that Fantastic Four does well in theaters.

    • vavavoom says:

He was sooo good on Parenthood!

    • Happy21 says:

I’m binge watching Parenthood right now and he’s a new character to the show where I am and he is a truly talented actor. I’m lovin’ him! Well, hell, I’m really just loving the whole show! How did I miss this during it’s run?

  9. Fluffy says:

What an obnoxious little bully Katie Perry is. Maybe one day she’ll reach the end of puberty.

  10. vavavoom says:

With all respect to Jordana Brewster, who is lovely in a plain way, Jaimie Alexander (“Peter Facinelli’s fiance”) is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.

Oh, and Henry Cavill is perfection, but that beard! Not a good look.

  11. Kiddo says:

Nicole Kidman looks fantastic. I like her style much better in the mag, really natural with the curly hair and more rugged clothing. Well done.

  12. Dorky says:

Those lips… Mmmmmmm…. (He was super hot on Rescue Me, too.)

  13. Mimz says:

In my mind that man is AAAALLLLLLL MINEEEEE!!

He’s just too yummy. I saw him on other shows but more recently on Grey’s where he was being a MAN to Bailey. he took that woman.

    *Le sigh* I wish…

  14. db says:

Loving Nicole’s return to curls. She looks so much more pretty and at ease.

  15. Lucy says:

Completely unrelated, but just wanted to take a moment to say hi and let everyone know that Tom Hardy is currently in my city (Buenos Aires). Yes, The Bloke is standing on the same ground and breathing the same air as I am as we speak. Send. Help. ASAP.

  16. mia girl says:

Katy Perry thing is stupid. Stupid move on her part.

But speaking of “sluttytaylorswift”… looks like Lainey dropped a veiled reveal today to her blind riddle from last year. I’m not a big believer in blinds or a Lainey fan, but hers usually hold up.

    http://www.laineygossip.com/Notes-on-a-love-triangle-blind-riddle/31393

lots of folks believed it was about
    Mandy Moore/Ryan Adams/Taylor Swift.

Today she linked to a story about Ryan Adams covering Swift’s music and titled it “hint hint clue clue”

    • mimif says:

No. Way. No effn way. This is slightly delicious mia girl!

    • meh says:

I so hope this is true because Taylor’s virgin pure image that she pushed for so long annoyed the hell out of me. It was so contrived and cynical.

  17. Carmen says:

    Whodat?

  18. Snappyfish says:

I’ve always thought he was a whole lot of yum

  19. nene says:

Maybe am wrong but wasn’t he the guy who player Ranger in One For The Money with Katherine Heigl; movie adaptation of Janet Evanovich novel. The movie just didn’t do the book justice, not the actors’ fault though cos they have to work with a bad script.

  20. original kay says:

    gah! it’s already posted.

  21. LeAnn Stinks says:

As far as Henry Cavil is concerned, he is GORGEOUS, with or without, facial hair. In my humble opinion, he is a very handsome specimen, and his British accent, is an added bouns. 🙂

  22. LAK says:

    Hot? Yes. Ranger? No.

  23. Snappyfish says:

I’ve loved Henry Cavill ever since he played Albert in the Count of Monte Cristo with Guy Pierce & Jim Caviezel. It was his first roll I remember him saying during The Tudor years
