Olivia is so unfortunate. Its not just the usual misorgynists on her case. Its also racists, Christians who think she soiled a good Christian virgin and people who are invested in the idea that her boyfriend is gay (and omg there are many). It must be tough.

    • Lilacflowers says:

Sadly, she’s not the first to be subjected to this nonsense and she probably won’t be the last. Here in Boston, there were people who insisted that Gisele Bundchen jinxed the Patriots and they lost two Super Bowls because of her. Sports fans can be insane

      • Boston Green Eyes says:

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that!

        “Sports fans can be insane.”

        Especially the ones with Testosterone.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Boston Green Eyes, and the female ones who write the Herald’s gossip column

      • doofus says:

people also said the same thing about Brooke Shields/Andre Agassi and Jason Sehorn/Angie Harmon.

because OBV women = destruction of man.

      • V4Real says:

Oh and let’s not forget that Jessica Simpson was blamed for Tony Roma’s bad season when he dated her.

      • knower says:

they aren’t willing to accept that its THE TEAM that isn’t doing well.

      • mimif says:

        Bonus points for misorgynists usage.

I’m so glad my team legit sucks this year so I don’t get blamed for cursing them. Cuz I’ve done em all. (Sorry, mom)

      • Bridget says:

I definitely don’t blame J Simp for Tony Romo’s bad season, but that woman was one giant lesson in how not to be a celebrity sports girlfriend. Announcing the relationship by showing up in the stands in full hair and makeup and a pink Romo jersey, paparazzi photos of her on vacation with Romo during the playoff bye week – while it was a coach sanctioned trip, I can’t imagine that her letting paparazzi know about it *was* and ended up being a total debacle when they lost that playoff game. That relationship was bad for both of their images.

Mimif: even God Squad Wilson? You Jezebel!

      • Lilacflowers says:

Envisioning Mimif screaming “CROQUEEMBOUCHE!!!” at the Seahawks

      • mimif says:

@Lilac, pretty much, but with more F bombs.

@Bridget, that was really bad, so so bad, over the top distracting. I think I actually feel comfortable blaming her for that loss. *ducks*

      • FLORC says:

Munn has a lot that isn’t good. She’s very unlikable and tryhard with a pinch of selling out what she can’t use to promote herself. If it goes well she hitches her wagon. If it fumbles she exploits and distances.
This though? IDK. Seems like a stretch.

I can see a level of new relationship stuff and not having the same type of focus. unless she was actively trying to prevent him from his job and training or having some hex put on him… it’s off.

      • Neil says:

Since I’m a sports fan and specifically a football fan I visit football sites. It embarrasses me to be associated with some of the hillbillies and neanderthals who also seem to visit these same sites. Teabaggers and bigots, and pretty stupid as well (I am amazed that all these football “experts” can’t figure out the simple formula for how the NFL formulates a teams regular season schedule).

      • Tania says:

Well if that’s the case shall I blame him for that hideous blue dress? What utter nonsense and total misogyny.

    • The Original Mia says:

Ciara is being blamed for Russell Wilson and the Seahawks’ losing season. It’s either because they aren’t sleeping together or she’s distracting him because they are in love.

      It’s disgusting.

    • Chris87Ff says:

I’m one who believes the rumors abt her boyfriend. His former “roommate” went on a Twitter rant dishing on secrets. He was quickly paid off and disappeared. When Aaron won the Super Bowl, who did he run to embrace first???? Same guy…his live-in “assistant” of 6 years. Regardless, of his sexual preference, Olivia is never at the games or in Green Bay. She pops up after the season. My opinion, it’s a relationship concocted by someone’s PR team.

  2. Delta Juliet says:

Well, it HAS to be her fault! Can’t be his!

    /sarcasm

  3. BendyWindy says:

I wish my vagina was as magical as Olivia’s. I mean, her genitals are making the packers lose, forcing God to smite them, and ruining America. My vagina doesn’t do any of that. :sad face:

    • Lilacflowers says:

But are you dating a quarterback? The magic vaginas of football catastrophe only work on QBs. They have no effect on safetys or tight ends.

  4. Jasmine says:

    Olivia is really hot

    • Kitten says:

She better be because her acting almost ruined Newsroom for me.

      • Lilacflowers says:

        She was acting?

      • mimif says:

        She’s hot?

      • Kitten says:

So you saw it as well? Good God she is atrocious.

@ mimif-apparently she is hot enough to be hired for a role that is way above her acting capabilities.

      • Lilacflowers says:

Notice how she had almost no scenes with Fonda? Jane’s few moments on that show were a master class and they were very careful not to show up other cast members by limiting her scenes to people who were up to it like Sam Waterston, Jeff Daniels, and Marcia Gay Harden

      • LeAnn Stinks says:

        MimiF,

I am with you. Never got her and I always thought she came off as smug while trying to be humorous.

      • FLORC says:

She had GREAT PR. All these stories of how she carried that show… Her acting was terrible. Not much survives with her as a constant.

      • Locke Lamora says:

I thought she played Sloan quite well. But then again, I really like her.

  5. Miss Grace Jones says:

Didn’t people blame Drake for Serena losing at one of her championships? Sports fans are extra.

  6. Mixtape says:

I mean… is it Olivia’s fault her boyfriend had a bad season? No. But I just don’t like her, so can we blame her for something else?

  7. Tiffany :) says:

The Ben Carson comments are horrifying. smh.

    • Crumpet says:

Has no one heard of a metaphor? You can dislike his politics, but these types of attacks are just silly.

      • Kitten says:

But Crumpet, Carson is talking about presumably innocent Syrian refugees. I would understand the dog comparison if he was talking about ISIS or terrorists, but he’s comparing an entire nationality to “rabid dogs” as if they are inherently dangerous simply because they’re coming from a different country.

Can’t you see how that would come across as xenophobic and offensive?

Additionally, his ongoing comments are indicative of someone who is SO ignorant when it comes to foreign policy. Remember that this is the guy who Duane Clarridge said was unable to retain “one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East” despite weekly policy briefings.

This isn’t just about party preferences, this man is continually exposing himself as the political amateur he is. He is just NOT prepared to be president. It’s scary to see that he’s even in the race at all and I’m at the point where I think maybe even Trump is more qualified. Think about how terrifying that is?

      • anon33 says:

Who is “attacking”, by the way? Because last time I checked writing a descriptive sentence on a blog did not equal an “attack.”

      • Tiffany :) says:

Yes, I know he wasn’t being literal. But the metaphor he chose was degrading. The Assad regime harmed their own people, then ISIS comes in and harms more of them. They are being targeted for death from two sides. These people are no less worthy of respect than anyone from the US or Europe. Comparing them to mangy, sinister dogs is obviously insulting. He didn’t call them unknown or strange dogs…he said they were “rabid”, suggesting that all Syrian refugees are a threat. He fails to recognize these are people fleeing from war and struggling for survival.

        From The Statue of Liberty:
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

      • Lilacflowers says:

He and Trump are now talking about “registries” in addition to closing mosques (first amendment be damned!) There are extremely frightening echoes of the 1930s here.

      • Crumpet says:

Kitten, I agree that he is not really prepared to be a president.

Tiffany:), yes, I see your point. Perhaps it would have been better to compare ISIS to wolves in sheep’s clothing, infiltrating with the innocents. But until we have a handle on terrorists (and we never will, I don’t think) we HAVE to look at every refugee as a potential threat. It sucks, but there it is. They are not above using women and children as weapons of destruction, they hate us that much. It is an awful situation.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Crumpet, sorry but using that rational, we would have to hold everyone in the world as a suspected terrorist, wouldn’t we? Timothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph, Ted Kaczynski – all terrorists. Menachem Begin and the Irgun engaged in terrorist activities. Gavrilo Prinicip, an Orthodox Christian, committed the terrorist act that started World War I. Shoko Asahara ordered murderous sarin attacks in Tokyo subway system. I happen to consider those who engage in mass shootings like Adam Lanza and Jared Lee Loughner and James Eagan Holmes to be terrorists.

    • Colette says:

Who would be worst for this country President Trump or President Carson?

  8. SusanneToo says:

    David!! Ten💞💞💞💞. Looking good!

And yes, Ben Carson was here in Mobile yesterday. The stench still lingers. We’ve already had Trump. We just need Cruz to become a toxic waste dump.

    • JustPassingThrough says:

HaHaHaHaHa!!!!! I just about spit my water out……toxic waste dump…..love it. 🙂

  9. Eggland’s worst says:

As a confirmed sports nutcase, I don’t care why my behated packers are losing, just so long as they keep losing. I RRREEEAAALLLYYY hate Aaron Rodgers. He is ridiculously unlikable. It is unfair to blame her. Maybe he just is, I don’t know, disgustingly overrated (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap) OVERRATED (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap).

    • Moneypenny says:

You better watch out talking about my team!

He’s not overrated–he’s proven himself with numbers and results for several seasons. We are just not a good team this year and for some reason, people (maybe largely the media) expect us to just keep being good despite injuries, bad play calling, the worst defense in history, etc.

    • Jessica says:

The two time league MVP and Super Bowl champ is clearly not overrated. He has a bum shoulder and it’s been bad since the o-line forgot how to protect the QB against the Chargers. As far as the Pack not being good? It’s a 3 game slide, not the end of the world.

  10. Val says:

We Chicagoans don’t blame Kristin Cav-a-whats-her-face for our QB’s problems. Everyone just says he sucks.

  11. antipodean says:

Whatever Jane Fonda is having, could I please have a huge, heaping pile of the same? Her dress is all shades of fug, but her body is to die for! Maybe she has a portrait in her attic?

  12. Amy Tennant says:

Thank you for the picture of my imaginary husband!

  13. lucy2 says:

I can’t stand Olivia, but blaming one player’s significant other for the way an entire team performs is ridiculous.

“Gwyneth Paltrow “sings” on the new Coldplay album.” Thanks for the warning.

  14. Lilacflowers says:

So who is responsible for Tim Tebow’s poor play?

  15. anon33 says:

In superficial news, damn that’s a terrible pic of BOTH of them. Her dress is horribly unflattering and his hair is just wrong.

  16. Jessica says:

Yes!!! I don’t care what people are blaming Munn for, I’m just thrilled that they are. Can’t we just blame her for everything? As long as she got a ton of publicity out of it I’m sure she wouldn’t care anyway. Although their reason is ridiculous, I’m glad that people (other than those of us on gossip blogs who know her history) are hating on her now. I wonder if she’ll want out of her contract with him?

  17. LAK says:

    Urgh!!!

    The sexism of it……

    • FLORC says:

      LAK
I don’t like it either…. But…. Munn has played the sexism card to her favor with both claiming, fabricating, and pointing a sexist finger at others. So, I can’t help, but find it somewhat expected and ironic she is now on the receiving end of a card she so readily exploited for personal and professional gains at the cost of others.

  18. greenmonster says:

Kylie Jenner and Tyga broke up?!?! I don’t believe in love anymore. And what about Kylie’s rap career? I’m crushed

    • FLORC says:

But if a romance based in under age affairs with overlapping timelines of relationships and regifting baby momma to secret teenage gf can’t survive who’s can?

  19. Aubrey says:

I thought that Zeta-Jones and Douglas had broken up, but that must have been a rumor. Congrats to them!
