I love Gaga on AHS. Keep it coming!

  2. Wentworth Miller says:

I like Paris with the blonde hair

    • Kitten says:

The platinum ‘do is a fun, young look but she was SO striking with the dark hair and bright blue eyes..

  3. Jenns says:

I thought Nancy died years ago…

  4. maggie says:

She was really pretty in her younger years. Almost like Jackie Kennedy.

  5. Melody says:

Just think: when Melania dies, they’ll have nudies to include in the memorials!

  6. Original T.C. says:

Never agreed with her politics or the extreme damage to poor communities and the mentally ill she supported her husband in during. Hello war on drugs! However she has my respect for becoming a strong woman on her own after the death of her husband and really pushing hard to accomplish things as Nancy Regan not just Regan’s +1.

Again her financial and moral support for STEM cell research made a difference. She joined a handful of FLOTUS as being famous in their own right. RIP.

    • SusanneToo says:

I agree with everything you said. As someone whose husband also suffered from Alzheimer’s, I sympathize with her and applaud her efforts in finding a cure. RIP, Nancy.

    • PennyLane says:

I appreciate her support for Alzheimer’s research…I just wish that she had been able to support it before the disease affected her personally.

  7. Melody says:

Jeffrey Wright was great in the Bond movies – more please!

  8. What's inside says:

I never felt particularly warmly towards her, but I did respect her concern and care for her husband. Reaganomics helped a lot after the late 70s mess with inflation and oil, but I also felt very strongly that closing down the mental institutions was a sad and shameful thing to do that cast so many out on the streets that desperately need help.

    • Robin says:

The mental institutions’ closing was due far more to lawsuits by the ACLU against involuntary commitment, than to anything Reagan did.

      • Diana says:

As someone who works in community mental health, THANKS ACLU.

Talk about good intentions leading you down the road to hell. Most of the impoverished mentally ill now end up homeless or in prison. Not really much better, tbh. It’s a literal jungle out there.

  9. Nancy says:

RIP Nancy. Just Say No didn’t work, but you tried.

  10. bohemianwatermelon says:

RIP ketchup is a vegetable lady. I always just said no…to mids and lows.

  11. ladyE says:

I just came here to say Leo should wear glasses more often. Rawr!

  12. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Nancy Reagan wasn’t my favorite person, but I thought she and Ronald had a very loving bond, and she was a strong woman in her own right.

    • Jen43 says:

She was devoted to him at the expense of everything else. It was almost fairy tale like.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Yes, I know what you mean.

      • Crumpet says:

Indeed. How easy it would have been for her to shuffle her husband off to caretakers as he declined mentally and physically. That would be a horribly painful thing to have to witness. But she remained utterly devoted to him and cared for him to the end. They really were a lovely couple. I was so sad when he died, but at least they are together now.

  13. LAK says:

    Just Say No!

  14. VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

I just finished watching Narcos, so this is rather ironic–to be crass.

    • Wentworth Miller says:

Didn’t you love it? I’m pissed that I have to wait till later in the year for the 2nd season.

  15. Kitten says:

“Just Say No”, The War on Drugs–none of this sh*t works.
Legalization and liberalization, regulation, and addiction treatment (instead of jail time for mild offenders)–these are our solutions.

We really need to start looking to Scandinavian countries and the way they’re handling drug addiction, which is still a pretty big problem out there. Giving heroin addicts legal prescriptions for heroin or diamorphine can help combat drug sales in that the addict can treat their existing problem legally for an affordable price instead of selling H just to support their increasing addiction. Anytime we can minimize or eradicate illegal distribution, that’s a step in the right direction.

Our past approach of trying to interrupt the cocaine supply chain through forced coca plant eradication or increasing the cost of coca isn’t effective–it’s like saying if we raise the cost of paint there will be no more paintings. In other words, the coca plant is just a small element of what makes up cocaine.

We need to effectively defund the drug cartels–take their power away–and we’ll only be able to do that by controlling/regulating drug sales and distribution on a domestic level.

    • Tiffany :) says:

      Well said!

    • doofus says:

      PREACH!

(apparently, the policy makers seem to have forgotten what a massive failure Prohibition was…all it did was create an illegal market and made the gangsters…and a few politicians…rich.)

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Kitten, do you know the story of a street cat named Bob? That sort of changed my mind about the best way of helping drug addicts, because the man in the story was in a good program in Great Britain that helped him get a place to live and helped him with drugs for his addiction. Anyway, it’s a long way to say I agree with you. (Plus it’s about a cat)

    • Dangles says:

Unfortunately the War on Drugs has been a raging success for those who profit from it and therefore I don’t see it ending anytime soon. I’ve worked in the alcohol and other drug field here in Melbourne for over twenty years and the majority of people who work in the sector agree that decriminalization is the way to go. But the government are like yeah, nah.

Back in the nineties we had a heroin “epidemic’ down here and the conservative state government commissioned a professor to consult the sector about the best way to respond. After a wide consultation process involving forums with workers etc. he told the government to decriminalize heroin and open up supervised injecting rooms. The government said “no” and didn’t get a satisfactory reason for their response. Just “no”.

      • Crumpet says:

I don’t understand WHY. Do they really make so much money off the war on drugs? How does that work?

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

      WORD, Kitten.

  16. Lilo says:

I’m worried about Kesha. Seriously. Never thought I would say that, but I am

  17. pinetree13 says:

Wow the Courtney link. Guess this is the next struggle to extend the 15 minutes. I don’t believe the mom and Doug did or had anything, I think they just cooked this up to try and get interest or get reality TV money.

  18. Colette says:

Erin Andrews awarded $55 million in lawsuit against hotel.

  19. Antigone says:

Madonna is such an ass. How must her daughters feel hearing her make a statement about there being no love stronger than a mother’s love for her son?

  20. Dangles says:

Hmm. I see even Kaiser wasn’t sure what to say about this.
