Here are some photos of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper out to dinner last Friday night in Santa Monica. They had dinner – just the two of them – at Giorgio Baldi. They arrived together and left together on Bradley’s Ducati. Seriously. This is a thing that happened. Bradley and Gaga sort of know each other, in a Hollywood sort of way, as in they’ve both attended the same events over the years and are probably vaguely acquainted.
I was going to make a big deal about how random this is and how Irina Shayk should be checking the terms of her (alleged!!!) contract, but then Dlisted reminded me of something: Bradley Cooper is still hellbent on doing a remake of A Star Is Born. He wants to star in and direct it. Last year, he apparently approached Beyonce about starring with him, but she either didn’t want to do it or she would only do it for a lot of $$$ and he said no. So is Gaga the new “star”? I truly and genuinely believe that this could be what the dinner was about: a getting-to-know-you business dinner about whether Lady Gaga will make the jump to leading lady in a major film. Gaga has shown a lot of interest in doing more acting work, from her parts in Machete Kills, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For and of course, her Golden-Globe-winning role in American Horror Story.
So, could you see Lady Gaga starring opposite Bradley Cooper in a remake of A Star Is Born? Honestly, it might work better than Beyonce. Hm…

Imagine the look on Leo DiCaprio’s face and others in Hollywood if Gaga was fantastic in the role and then nominated for or won an Oscar? The screen shots of some of the audience members with forced smiles and clenched teeth would be classic! I hope the movie happens just for that reason!

DiCaprio doesn’t strike me as someone who’d care. He seems like he buys into his own hype, and that includes his judgement of others.
I wonder what Leo has to do with this. oh Yes, that eye roll he gave her when she bumped into her and didn’t apologize. Maybe it ended right there cos I don’t think Leonardo is the type to be like “Y’all need to Boycott Lady gaga cos I hate her now” It’s never really that serious. Lady Gaga succeeding or failing does not add a single thing to Leo’s life is another zero to his account. not a damn thing
Could they have arrived in a more attention-getting fashion? Does Bradley Cooper always wear sunglasses at night? Did Gaga lose a bet and have to wear those jeans? Is the world ready for another musical reboot? So many questions.
I was wondering how the phone call went to set up this date….
Bradley: I’m going to pick you up on my bike! So wear “Hollywood biker” clothes so we’ll match! Yay! See you at 7!

Well I am not sure on Cali law but in Illinois you have to wear them when riding a bike. Be it glasses, helmet or clear ones. You have to have some shield on your eyes.
I have a clear pair for night and use my regular sunglasses during the day.
A Star Is Born (Judy Garland) is one of my favorite movies and the thought of a remake with Lady Gaga hurts me to my core.
Plz don’t do it, i’m begging the powers that be – PLEZ.
Maybe if they DO remake it with these two clowns it will have the unintended affect of proving just how good the classic really is by comparison….? One could hope so, anyway
Well then you have the mediocre Streisand and Kristofferson 70s debacle. The music was ok, the rest was meh.
I would have to be desperate and very bored to be forced to watch these two in a theatre and the same goes for at home. Can’t stand either of them and don’t like reboots especially one that has been made to death already. 3 times. So who said we needed a fourth? I can’t believe there are no worthy new stories to be told.
I find Gaga to be a very stilted actress. I only watched a few episodes of AHS, but I didn’t think she was that good at all, just physically was great in transformation, but not in delivering lines, which I found wooden in delivery. I think this will be a flop. And will she stop with the fillers and botox long enough to film? LOL And I guess she will wear one of her crappy wigs, which have all looked horrible the past two years.
Cher she is not, who was so naturally talented as an actress right from her first movie.
Her hair looks terrible.
Oh my lord could Gaga be trying any harder to look cool and unaffected? Good lord how exhausting. And you know they wanted some serious attention, coming and going like this.

She is exhausting. Just needs to accept that she’s out of ideas. No shame in that.
There is shame, however, in walking around like a strung out wannabe and taking on projects you have no talent for.
No idea how that bland dude can stomach being engaged to her. I’d be in a permanent eye roll.

Hopefully not. Ugh, I don’t mind Gaga, but her acting is worse than Beyonce’s and that is saying something. I don’t mind the remake. It’s been remade around 3 times already and I’d love to see another reinterpretation, but not with Gaga in the lead.

This sounds like it has potential to reach “Showgirls” levels of awesome badness, so I’m all for it. I don’t care if she won a GG, Gaga cannot act. I’m not even bothering with AHS this season if she’s in it again.

Keep in mind this is actually the 3rd remake. The original was by David O. Selznick with Janet Gaynor and is my fave. They keep getting less good, but this just looks like a hot mess. Bradley needs to give it up or go more creative (younger/hipper) in his casting. Gaga, gags, no.
And you could argue that there are even more remakes than that. The Actor was basically a variation of the same story. Yawn.
