For several years, Idris Elba was with Naiyana Garth. Garth gave birth to their son Winston back in 2014. But in February of this year, it seemed like Naiyana and Idris split up, and that the breakup was BAD. Like, he might have been seen with Naomi Campbell, that kind of bad. Idris even referenced the bad breakup in a magazine interview a few months back, when he discussed how he and Naiyana were fighting about his access to Winston.

Well, long story short… Idris and Naiyana Garth are back together. Or at least they’re friendly enough that she was his date to last night’s BAFTA TV Awards in London. The Daily Mail says they “put on a loved-up display” and that this was “their first public appearance together this year.” True story: Naiyana is only 28 years old! Idris is 43 years old. Idris attended the BAFTAs because he was nominated, but he lost to Mark Rylance.

Meanwhile, Idris has just scored another major film role. Following his snub at this year’s Oscars and an international conversation about #OscarsSoWhite, Idris has been quietly booking big roles for months now. He’s going to be doing The Dark Tower with Matthew McConaughey. He’s doing a limited series with Oscar winner John Ridley. And now he’s circling Molly’s Game, the true story of Molly Bloom’s underground LA poker games. Jessica Chastain will star as Molly, and it’s not known whom Idris would play. Aaron Sorkin has written the script and Sorkin will likely direct it too.
