Mandy Moore & Ryan Adams’ divorce finalized, but what about animal-support?

In January 2015, Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams announced that they were getting a divorce after six years of marriage and a lot of shady gossip. For what it’s worth, I don’t think there was much shady gossip about Mandy, but Ryan definitely has some secrets. Their divorce was still being worked out when Mandy filed paperwork with the court last December, seeking $37,000 a month in support from Ryan… for their many animals. Ryan had left their home and while he was helping out with the bills, Mandy was overwhelmed with trying to care for six cats and two dogs, and she was asking Ryan for more money. So now, six months later, everything has been finalized. But there’s no mention of the animals?

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are officially divorced, and in a nutshell … she’s getting wheels and a ton of cash, while he’s getting arcade games. According to the divorce docs, neither will pay spousal support. Mandy is keeping a Bev Hills condo and a 2012 Prius. Ryan will be the envy of teenage boys everywhere — he’s keeping his comic book collection, some pinball machines … plus a 2008 Porsche Carrera and a ’59 Cadillac.

He also gets several bank accounts. They’re each holding on to their respective publishing rights for any music created during their nearly 6 year marriage.

Even though Mandy’s getting their Griffith Park home, they’ve agreed to split the furniture.

Since Ryan’s takeaway assets add up to more than Mandy’s … he’s also paying her $425k cash to make things even.

[From TMZ]

It seems like a split right down the middle, financially speaking, which makes sense because everything was done in California, a state with a generous view of community property. And I don’t think they had a prenup, so that makes more sense. My guess is that Ryan will give Mandy the $425,000 and then there will be no alimony or animal-support. But Mandy gets two homes? That’s what it says – she gets a Beverly Hills condo AND their shared home in Griffith Park.

She needs bitch support – for herself!

      LOL…

I literally had to Google Ryan Adams. I never heard of him, nor knew he was married to Mandy Moore

I follow Ryan on Instagram and he has taken two of the cats – he’s been posting non-stop cat pictures recently.

I used to love Ryan Adams. As a member of Whiskeytown, he has written and sung some of my favorite songs. Even his earlier career as a solo artist was rocknroll, country, a lot of fun and some sadness all rolled into one terrific artist. Once upon a time, Ryan Adams created music that mattered as cliche as that sounds. He knew how to sing about the American landscape- barren, dusty trailer parks of north Florida, broke down little honky tonk bars in Eastern North Carolina, New York City, for instance, similar to the way the greats like Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen sing about the American Landscape which is incredibly hard to do. But then something happened. He got sucked into Hollywood, maybe, and his music is different now. It is lazy. Remaking Taylor Swifts 1989 album was a waist of time and completely unnecessary. I still listen to early Ryan Adams. Early Ryan Adams will always be one of my top 10 favorite singers, but I can’t stand the guy he has become. I hope the best for Mandy. She probably put a lot of effort into this marriage so I hope she can rebound from it. I have pretty much given up on Ryan Adams, but who knows, maybe he will put down the bong and crawl out of his garage long enough to put out at least one more masterpiece.

I agree about 1989, but I think Ashes and Fire is one of his best, and that was only a few years ago.

I agree Rhiley – I love Heartbreaker and always will. I loved Cold Roses too… but downhill from there. I saw him live in Vancouver ~2005 and it was the absolute worst show I have ever seen. He had a massive (drunken / drug fueled?) meltdown on stage, b!tched out the band repeatedly, walked off a number of times, forgot words, f^cked up songs, played in the wrong key… what a mess. It really, really turned me off bc when fans pay good money to see an artist perform, the bare minimum that artist should do is put in their best effort for a show.

It does seem like he’s bought into his fame and his reputation a little too much. His music really disappoints me now.

Mandy is dating the singer from The Dawes now and I hope it works out for her. She always struck me as genuine.

I love Mandy, I actually think she is very talented has an actress. She has been in many B movies.

  6. Tania says:

I have no idea who her husband is but I wish Mandy well. She seems like a genuinely nice person. And she hasn’t aged a day. That’s just a crappy photo.

I’ve just now realised that this guy and Conor Oberst are not the same person. I’ve been conflating them with each other for as long as they’ve each been around.

  8. Ashley says:

Good for her,she starred in a walk to remember, one of my favorite movie of all time. I don’t know about her ex,I will check out his music.
