Russell Wilson and Ciara are getting married this week or this weekend. They’ve been seen in Liverpool ahead of their wedding, because… they’re getting married in Liverpool, for some reason. I understand wanting to do a destination wedding, but Liverpool? If you’re going to fly people in, why not just go with London? Or Paris? Or Rome? According to TMZ, Russell and Ciara have invited 100 friends and family members to Liverpool and the wedding will take place with “a castle-like backdrop.” Meaning what, exactly? They couldn’t get a real castle?
Ciara and Russell have been dating since early 2015, and several months after they got together (and walked their first red carpet), Russell told the world that he was waiting to have sex with Ciara until after they were married. They sort of did the born-again virgin thing for each other, and Russell always maintained that he would not touch the cake until they were MARRIED, not engaged. They ended up getting engaged back in March and I had some questions about whether “putting a ring on it” meant that they could possibly do something cake-like or cake-adjacent. But by most accounts, their honeymoon will be the first time they ever have sex with each other. While I couldn’t care less about the sex stuff between these two, I am very interested in seeing Ciara’s wedding dress. Do you think she’ll do demure, or will we see her naked hip bone?
Also: Ciara has some ongoing legal issues with her ex and baby-daddy Future, including a defamation case. Ciara’s lawyers filed paperwork this week in the defamation case saying that Ciara is worried that Future plans to kill Russell – you can read about it here. While I doubt Future is a fan of Russell Wilson, I also think that he’s mostly just sh-t talking.

And after they can have cake officially, will she cover up? Not clothes policing her before anyone jumps on my comment, just find it entertaining that as soon as she started a relationship with him, and presumably started this born again virgin business, she’s been parading in public with barely any clothes on. Like a public tease since he has vowed not to touch it. And even if it was her decision to abstain, I still think the lack of clothes is to the same end.
Your can’t SEE a castle if you are in it. Plus, that way you don’t pay rental fees but get the regal feel in your pictures. #bargain

I have a question. If you’re having a wedding abroad who pays the travel expenses? Is it up to the attending person or the couple?
It should be up to the couple, but is typically up to the attendee. It’s why I typically decline destination wedding invites, I refuse to spend my hard earned vacation time and money on someone else’s nonsense.
… And that’s exactly why some people (including me) have destination weddings- you can invite everyone you “have to” invite, but only your real friends will come. Win-win. Though our plan backfired a bit- we got married at such a groovy spot that some people came BECAUSE it was there, I think!

How do you ensure that the people you want can make it? I am in a better place now financially, but if a few years ago a friend had essentially tested my friendship to the tune of thousands of dollars for a single weekend I would have been incredibly hurt.
I find it odd to have destination weddings just for the castle. And if we’re going to do it just for the castle, there are quite a few other beauties around Europe. I don’t prefer English castles as much. Sorry, Brits. Please don’t hate me.
It depends where in the UK you go but Liverpool is a very odd choice, even if there are some lovely medieval castles in that area.

Apparently, she’s claiming that Future’s trashtalking to make money off her fame!?! The only reason she’s on entertainment shows and blogs is because of this relationship and her album sales have been awful.

The only thing you got from that is Ciara doesn’t have a career for him to damage. Really? He admitted to slandering her and lying about her to promote his music. HIS MUSIC. He’s using his son to make himself out to be a victim of his gold-digging mother. He sold stories to TMZ. This is what he’s doing. This is the truth that came out in his deposition. He’s scum. He doesn’t care about his son and the damage he’s doing to him with all of this nonsense. He can’t control Ciara, so he’s doing everything possible to make her life miserable. And people are letting him get away with it. Instead of focusing on the fact that Future is using Ciara & their son to further his career, ya’ll focus on whether or not she has one.

I can’t wrap my head around the idea that such a gorgeous, well-off, seemingly bright enough woman like Ciara was ever with such a douche like Future. He seems like an awful person – the kind who won’t ever let her just live her life in peace.
