Mom of three and talk show hostess Kelly Ripa, 38, looks super fit and about half her age. She’s currently in Miami with her family shooting “Live! With Regis and Kelly.” That’s most people’s dream job – where you get to take off for a week to somewhere warm and sunny, drink fruity cocktails and swim in the pool, and go to work for an hour or two in the morning.
Kelly Ripa along with her husband, Mark Consuelos, and three children Michael, Lola and Joaquin make the most of a day off by the pool. Ripa appears to have it all, a fantastic figure, a happy family and a dream job. Kelly is currently in Miami to film her TV show with Regis Philbin. Kelly spent the day sunbathing and playing with her family in the pool and drinking cocktails. Kelly showed off her trim figure in a blue bikini and re-encated her dolphin encouter from the previous day with her two sons who pretended to be dolphins as she mimicked the commands she learned. Kelly and Mark also shared a few tender moments in between playing with the kids.

Kelly really does look amazing. She’s been on the cover of tons of fitness magazines – her abs are insane. And her belly button – an outie, which she’s constantly talking about – is also constantly changing on the cover of all those magazines. Not surprisingly, she has an intense workout routine. Two years ago she quit smoking, and used exercise to help deal with her cravings. After getting a few complements she was hooked.
In the past year, Kelly Ripa stuck to a serious exercise program. She’s also learning to cook, but the thing she’s most proud of — besides getting in her best shape ever — is snuffing out her hidden unhealthy habit: smoking. What was her trick? She started exercising five times a week. “It wasn’t easy. In fact, I almost gave up in the beginning. But after a couple of weeks someone told me how great my arms looked! I’m so vain, that’s all it took. I was hooked,” she explains…
… Kelly Ripa’s Workout: She uses a resistance tube with handles, a medicine ball, a pair of 3- to 5-pound dumbbells, a stability ball, and a jump rope. The first exercise of her workout is described below; you can see the rest here.
Squat and rotation row – works butt, legs, back, and biceps. Anchor a handled resistance tube to a sturdy object close to the ground and grasp one handle with left hand, arm straight, and rotate arm clockwise until palm faces out.
Lower into a deep squat, feet shoulder-width apart, knees aligned over toes, right hand resting on hip. Rise up and rotate arm inward until palm faces up, as you pull handle toward ribs. Return to starting position and repeat Do 2 sets of 12 to 15 reps on each side.
Kelly Ripa’s 20-minute cardio Rx: Alternate jumping rope with 30 seconds of jumping jacks. Start with 20 jump rope revolutions and increase by 20 after each round of jacks until you reach 100. Then reduce by 20 until you’re back down to 20. Repeat twice.

That’s pretty hardcore. Kelly told Fitness magazine that she only started exercising at age 37. They talk like she did this total body transformation, and while she does look exceptional, I never remember her looking anything less than phenomenal. But it is inspirational to know you can start exercising at any age and turn it into a habit you can really love.
The only area where I’d argue Kelly is lacking is her diet. It seems incredibly restrictive to me.
“Now my family tries to eat smaller amounts more often. I’m big on grazing,” says Kelly. She is not big, however, on breakfast. Instead, she always begins her day with coffee at home and then a cup of Starbucks regular coffee with half and half during the show.
Her first meal of the day is at 10 a.m.— usually a salad and a small turkey sandwich or a BLT (with turkey bacon) on whole-wheat bread. Her afternoon snack is a handful of almonds and a pear. For dinner she eats salads and fresh veggies with smaller servings of fish or steak.

It doesn’t sound like her meals are so small that they’re worrisome, but I think most of us would need more food than that in order to function and not be insanely cranky. She’s really only eating two meals and a snack, so you’d think at least one more meal would be a good idea, especially with all that exercise.
But you can’t argue that she isn’t looking phenomenal – these pictures prove it.
Here’s Kelly in Miami yesterday. Images thanks to Mavrix.
one of the most annoying people EVER.. ughhhh
I agree, but I have to admit that for pushing 40 and having had 3 kids, she really does look fit.
I remember her being scary skinny a few years ago, so good for her for exercising and getting muscle tone. But I agree, that eating plan cannot be healthy in the long run.
That eating plan is perfectly healthy; Lean meats, fruits, vegis and legumes. It’s about the perfect diet and what we would all eat if we wanted to be lean and healthy badly enough. She obviously looks great and anybody who’s ever seen her on anything can see she’s got more energy than any one person is entitled to.
Bikini is pretty hot, too.
She looks great! I love her and regis.
yeah she looks hot, good job she’s got the pool to cool off in…
cannot even stand to look at the jacked up-on-helium-voiced bobblehead…….
she’s up there on my list of most annoying women on tv (granted, she’s #2 after #1 Kate Gosselin)
She looks great. But if the only way to look that good is to eat as little as she does…well, I don’t think I want to look that good. :-/
More breakfast! And dump the half and half.
ew no thanks she looks like a boy. madonna little beef jerky sister
She looks awesome in anything. I love Kelly, although it would be so easy to “hate” her if I thought about her dream job, dream hubby, having all of those kids and looking that great, plus her fun personality.
She brings life and spark to that show. Go Kelly.
she looks good but could use a lil more meat on them bones
I actually think that her belly is gross. I think she would look better with a little less muscle on it.
That being said, I only eat one meal a day. Sometimes I snack but I only eat when I get hungry and that’s once. My weight stays normal at 112.
I think it’s great that she can be slender and not skeletal. That has to be a tough line to walk.
I do weights and cardio, and I would find it very hard to subsist on that small amount of food. I would pass out if I didn’t eat breakfast. My body fat is quite low, but I still eat a lot more that that! Her diet is what a fitness competitor would follow leading up to a competition, but not long term. Not sure how she does it.
Another obsessed celeb who lives in the gym. Madonna, here I come.
I don’t agree at all that she looks good. Lean and muscular, yes, but there isn’t one curve on that woman’s body. She looks like a 12-year-old boy!
I work out four to five days a week, and in the past, I’ve stupidly and obsessively tried eating about the same amount of food Kelly does. Needless to say, I was cranky ALL THE TIME. I don’t know how she does it.
She looks fantastic. Like a college girl, not a teenage boy.
And if she’d gained weight, we’d be bitching that she was getting “chubby.” I say give her credit — she lives in an industry where women are judged on their looks, and she’s an awesome body.
She annoys the hell outta me, and so does her fab body, another reason to eat these chic chip cookies…thank you Kelly, this pound is for you 🙁
her belly button grosses me out.
Mmmmmmmm……
pft! forget Kelly give me some more pics of her hot husband Mark Consuelos over her any day .
She is in good shape and looks fit.
But you have to remember she has regular exercise at gym every single day.
It’s not an easy job to have such nice body shape, right?
“Her diet is what a fitness competitor would follow leading up to a competition, but not long term.”
Off season you would add more calories but the basic concept of 6-8 small meals a day to keep your metabolism going would stay the same…it’s an extremely healthy way to eat
I find Kelly Ripa as a person, talk show host, hawker for Electrolux etc. to be insufferable, but mama’s body is bangin’! I don’t think anyone could deny that : )
she is like a chihuahua on speed, always yapping. ugh.
Attractive woman but I think she looks better w/ clothes. Although being toned & lean is admirable, she lacks hips & is a bit too grisely (sp?) for my taste. Yet I love her honesty regarding her ego being a key factor w/ the excercise. As for the limited calorie intake I imagine she’s got more than her share of help so it’s not like she needs the energy to live up to way her commercials portrays her, (ie. the hard working, do-it-all, hostess & mom.) Still, kudos to anyone who successfully kicks smoking. Finally, she may be annoying but it is completely overshadowed by her totally idiotic, forever nasel, nagging bafoon of a co-host, Reg. What an ass! Dream job? Hardly.
Not sure why anyone would want to look like this, but to each her own, I guess. Personally, I’d rather resemble Salma Hayek.
nice shot… good to have a great health
a health is a key to success life, good to be healthy
It’s funny how a camera angle makes a HUGE difference. I think she has the sexiest legs and feet of just about anyone. I could look at her in pumps on Regis…well all day long it truth be told.
But these shots make her look like she has hobbit feet at the pool. I’d say not sexy but I know the truth!
Fantastic items from you, man. I’ve remember your stuff previous to and you’re just too excellent. I actually like what you’ve obtained right here, really like what you’re saying and the way in which by which you assert it. You’re making it entertaining and you still take care of to keep it sensible. I cant wait to read far more from you. That is really a wonderful site.
