Well, this is a depressing way to start the gossip week. According to E! News, Josh Groban and Kat Dennings have broken up. I feel like they’ve been together for a really long time, but apparently it’s only been two years. They got together either late summer or early fall 2014 and they quickly made their red carpet couple-debut in October of that year. While they never hid their relationship, they also didn’t “flaunt” it to a crazy degree. Like, there were never weekly pap strolls and I always got the feeling that they had a real relationship based on common interests. Here’s more from E!:
Another Hollywood couple has decided to call it quits this summer. E! News can exclusively confirm Josh Groban and Kat Dennings have split after almost two years of dating.
“It was a mutual breakup,” a source shared with E! News. “They are still friends and care about each other, but it’s not the right time for them now as a couple.”
The Hollywood pair made their relationship official back in October 2014 when they stepped out together at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills. “They were so cute together!” a source said of the stars. “They were adorable on the carpet. She was whispering in his ear a lot and they seemed really happy.”
Soon after, Josh would admit that the charity event was the first time the 2 Broke Girls star had ever heard him sing.
“It’s not the right time for them now as a couple…” That’s depressing. After two years together, suddenly the timing isn’t right? I’ve heard rumors that 2 Broke Girls is going to be canceled after this next season, although I don’t know if that’s happening or what. It could be that Kat is worried about her career right now and Josh isn’t being very supportive. Or it could be that one of them wanted to get married and the other didn’t. I don’t know. Josh has previously dated January Jones and Katy Perry (he’s a breast man, apparently) and Kat previously had some kind of thing with Tom Hiddleston. I really hope no one else is involved in this breakup! I really liked Kat and Josh together.

They were cute together. I am shocked her show lasted even one episode. It is so poorly done and she is a terrible actress even though she seems likable enough.
I completely agree with you but I do find myself watching her show whenever it’s on. I’m not proud of it, I know it’s terrible but there it is.
I think it’s one of those shows that you hate-watch…I mean I watch it when it’s on and the whole time I’m thinking ‘what is this???’…but this I watch it again…and again
It is the worst show I have ever seen. Hands down. KUWTK is less offensive to my mind than this. Horribly written, horribly acted, offensive, painfully unfunny. It makes 2 and a half men look like Only Fools And Horses in comparison.
I love the show.
Oh no 2016 has truly been the year of horrible break ups! Just kidding who cares. I’m sure thy will both be just fine going their separate ways.

He’s about to make his Broadway debut in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, so they’ll be on opposite coasts, if they aren’t already. With her filming commitments and him set for eight shows a week when could they possibly see each other?
Well the thing is they’ve been dating 2 years. At this point, you decide to either go all in and get married or move on. Maybe someone did not want to make this permanent?

Awww that’s sad. They at least looked cute together. Something about Kat grates on me, in a less annoying J.Law/Anna Kendrick sort of way. I hate when I dislike people that by all accounts are fun and likable. It makes me feel like a demon.
Her show is just terrible, and she’s terrible in it. Cannot believe it’s been on the air for as long as it has. It’s IMO the absolute worst show on network TV. She was ok in the emo teen roles, but she is not at all funny in her sitcom.

No, it just means you probably have a good bullshit detector. I also dislike JLaw (I heard horrible things about her when I PA’d) and get slight mean girl vibes from Anna Kendrick too. Kat has always seemed like an extra ~wacky~ hipster. I vaguely recall a segment on Conan where she talked about playing a ukelele in her dreams and ugh..
Oh, what have you heard about JLaw? I have such a strong irrational dislike for her, I’m really interested. Anna Kendrick and Kat also. Margot Robbie I find slightly annoying too, but not as much. I don’t know why, it’s just a feeling I get with certain people. I had the same feeling about Matt Damon for years.
@Locke Lamora — When I was working in Montreal I was told that she made a female PA cry by making fun of her lisp in front of a group of people. Now, bear in mind that PAs get shit on literally all day, every day so what she said must have been extra savage. Most of us are dead inside by our third film lol. I also heard that she is really over the top nice to male crew members/cast members and the opposite to women. A real “I’m not like the other girls!” type. The only exception being hair and makeup people, they all really like her. I’ve always gotten such a strong high school queen bee vibe from her interviews, that none of this surprised me.

And I still get along with men “in general” better than women, but I think that’s also from having a brother growing up and just being more comfortable with dudes. I find her annoying too. Might be partly her voice, which I know she can’t help. Honestly I am a demon with a long list of people I irrationally dislike, but I don’t think it’s too bad as long as you don’t actually wish them any ill-will or do them any harm. I think it’s just human nature. Different strokes for different folks.
Separately these two both annoy me in similar ways, so I liked them together because they seemed like a good match.
She is an utter knockout, but I have never liked her acting and couldn’t get through even one episode of her show. Sad to hear about this breakup.
She’s in utter mourning over one of her best friends (Anton Yelchin) and her other (Beth Behr) has just got engaged. Josh is away promoting so it not being the right time sounds completely true. Hopefully they’ll get back together
