Donald Trump: The celebrities supporting Clinton ‘aren’t very hot anymore’

wenn28771378

While Hillary Clinton hasn’t had the best week, at least she can always count on Donald Trump to screw up. Seriously, Clinton could have potentially had so many bad news cycles, only Trump’s news cycles were almost always worse. I don’t even believe Trump even understands the complicated ethics argument he’s trying to make against Clinton, especially since Trump’s own ethical standards seem borrowed from white supremacist factions in his own party. The big headline is that Trump is trying to execute a “pivot” on his immigration stance, and he sounds like all of those Republicans he defeated in the primaries, so now prominent Republicans are hammering him for being “soft on immigration.” Ann Coulter is even freaking out. It’s amazing.

But you can’t expect Donald Trump to even stay on strictly political messaging, even when he’s got a teleprompter and a new campaign manager and Sean Hannity giving him millions of dollars’ worth of free publicity. No. Of course not. Because Donald Trump is so small and petty. He’s so mad that Hillary Clinton made a profitable swing through California and raised money from A-list celebrities and athletes like Magic Johnson, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx and more. Trump is SO JELLY. So he did the only thing he could do: denigrated the “hotness” of those celebrities. In the middle of a campaign speech yesterday, Trump told the audience: “The only people enthusiastic about her campaign are Hollywood celebrities, in many cases, celebrities that aren’t very hot anymore…”

Says the man who aimed to have Tom Brady at his convention, but ended up with Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato Jr. Says the man who ran The Apprentice for years, with contestants running from C-list to F-list.

Speaking of desperate has-beens, Brexit-pusher Nigel Farage flew to Mississippi yesterday to stump for Trump. It was one of the most bizarre things ever. And one last thing: even Republicans are saying Trump needs to release his tax returns.

Trump by name, trump by nature!

  2. lilacflowers says:

Antonio Sabato is on fire! His career! He’s in such demand by every studio! Why, Marvel is ordering Stan Lee to create the bestest, strongest, smartest, sexiest new superhero, better than all the others combined, just so Antonio can play him in the movie and they’re wiping that whole Phase 3 and 4 thing clean. It will be all Antonio all the time!

Meanwhile, not at all surprised that Trump’s sidekick and my former Senator Centerfold was named in the Fox News sexual harassment case for being the pig he is.

    • Stella in NH says:

Gosh, you nailed it!! I can’t wait to see the movie!!

Yeah, and you can take back your former senator. It was such a joke when he tried to run here in New Hampshire.

      • Lilacflowers says:

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Shaheen destroy him. Coakley was never a strong campaigner and Warren was a political novice. He had no idea what he was up against when he went after Jean, a veteran of countless battles with the Sununus. We’re not taking him back – Gail probably can’t get work here any more any way after doing commercials for him. Although she is the reason her media colleagues kept silent about his behavior for years.

    • Kitten says:

That sh*t with Brownie is so unsurprising–he’s always struck me as a huge creeper. The only reason why he ever had a political career was because he was a slick, good-looking (barf) white male–basically candy to the GOP and their followers.

      • Lilacflowers says:

And a wife who funded him and kept local media from reporting his shenanigans. Wouldn’t want to hurt Gail by revealing her husband is a rutting clown who rarely shows for work but bills the taxpayers for mileage. I have friends who worked as Senate staff at the State House. He gave all the women autographed copies of the Cosmo Centerfold picture

      • Kitten says:

Is Gail Huff even still on TV?
I just hope those staffers at least got some ebay money from that autographed centerfold.

      • Another Anne says:

I think she pretty much killed her career to support his. She was a very prominent face on WCVB, and now she is virtually invisible in public.

      • Lilacflowers says:

I heard recently that she is working at a station in Concord. When he first ran for the Senate, they had to move her assignments around to avoid ethical conflicts. They let her do commercials for him but they couldn’t touch on any political issues so we got those fluff pieces about him doing laundry so she could work. When he started in the Senate, she was going to stay in Boston but that only lasted 3 months because Scott hit the DC party circuit and was banging everything with a pulse so she quickly got a job down there. They fired her when she did commercials attacking Warren for him. Scott’s the one feeding Trump all the Pocahontas stuff about Warren. If you haven’t seen it, check out the video “Girl with the curious hand” by Digney Fingus. That’s Gail.

      • Kitten says:

Holy shit, Lilacflowers, I had no idea…thanks for all the extra info.
And to think I used to feel bad for her being out in hurricanes and the like, doing local storm coverage. SMDH..

    • Naya says:

Absolutely. Antonio Sabato won all the Oscars and Emmys and Grammys and Tonys last year too. The Espys offered him their best award but he refused because although he is also the hottest athlete, he likes to let other mortals shine too. It just goes to show that Antonio has never let his phenomenal success go to his head.

    • lucy2 says:

And after that he’s doing a buddy comedy franchise with Scott Baio, right? It will be a box office powerhouse, and they’ll both be on every cover of Teen Beat.

      • Christin says:

Yes, we must have the count of posters Chachi had in both Tiger and Teen Beats.

The number was huge, truly fantastic, believe me.

    • doofus says:

don’t forget Chachi…he’s EVERYWHERE these days.

    • Lilacflowers says:

Kid Rock and Ted Nugent will compose the score.

    • Lexie says:

Well Sabato DID win Celebrity Cupcake Wars so…

  3. greenmonster says:

Says the man whose celebrity supporters aren’t just “not that hot anymore”, but ice cold when it comes to fame.

  4. Megan says:

I am going to be off the grid for the first two weeks of September and I am so looking forward to not hearing this whiny bitch every time I walk into the kitchen at work (there is a huge TV in the kitchen).

    • Ravensdaughter says:

I don’t even watch TV-I read the newspaper online. Maybe I should take a break so I can avoid pictures of his whiny bitch face and avoid reading about the latest garbage he is spewing.
After he loses this “rigged” election, I hope he takes time off at Mar-a-Lago (sp?). Lots of time.

  5. INeedANap says:

    I’m With Her.
And does Cheeto Jesus even realize he’s a hypocrite and a liar? Or does he buy is own horse manure?

    • Tate says:

Speaking of Cheeto Jesus, is it me or has he stopped with the tanning bed and whatever he was dying his hair with??

      • 5thHouse says:

        Who’s Cheeto Jesus?

      • Cannibell says:

@5th House – it’s one of Trump’s many nicknames. (I’ve taken to referring to him as the Marmalade Disaster, Trevor Noah calls him Cinnamon Hitler, and Samantha Bee has so many fabulously horrid and wildly funny nicknames for him that I can barely keep track of them all.)

      • 5thHouse says:

Marmalade Disaster. Ha! I take it these indicated his bad tanning rituals.

      • Another Anne says:

I think the Orange Manatee may still be my favorite.

      • lulu3 says:

Yes! Can you imagine how difficult it must have been for his new team to convince him that the oompa loompa tan and the yellow surfboard hair were not a great presidential look? He was clearly ‘attached’ to his hair because I’ve seen several of his speeches where he talks about the hairspray he prefers using inside his ‘concealed’ home which is ‘really very nice’ but is being discouraged by people who believe in global warming…. His ties are a bit different too. And he has a really funny ‘serious’ expression he uses on Bill O Reilly. While busy not answering any questions.
He always says ‘I was just with some very important people who think I’m great and they agree with me about everything’. O Reilly kept asking him how he would solve issues in Chicago crime, and he kept saying he had just met a policeman (not the current chief) who knows how to solve all the problems in a week. But he didn’t tell Trump how he would do it. Trump said he doesn’t need to know. He just believes the policeman.

  6. mia girl says:

He sounds like a jealous 15-year-old talking about an ex…

“Dude, I don’t care – I SO let her go. She’s not very hot anymore”

“Like I know he’s dating Jenna now, but like I totally don’t care because he’s not even hot anymore”

Do you think Trump has a burn book?

  7. Prairiegirl says:

And Scott Baio is? God, this man makes no sense. None.

  8. embertine says:

Nigel Farage palling up with Tangerine Mussolini reminds me of the wide-mouthed bullfrog joke. I just cannot look at either of their smug faces anymore.

    • silverunicorn says:

That was like the worst thing in politics to happen in a long time.. two fascist peas in a pod…

    • Jwoolman says:

Is it normal for foreign politicians to actively campaign for US Presidential candidates? Other than maybe not-hot Hollywood types. Serious question.

And did Donald extremely vet Nigel to make sure he was in the US legally and not a terrorist? They have terrorists in the UK, you know.

Donald also better make sure Nigel doesn’t try to vote, he seems a tad confused. He was quoted as saying he wouldn’t vote for Hillary if someone paid him. Sounds like potential voter fraud, Donald. Get your Second Amendment people on it.

      • embertine says:

I really don’t think so. But Farage successfully pushed through Brexit by preying on the ignorance and xenophobia of the Brits, so I guess Trump is using him to prove that it can be done as long as you’re prepared to spread lies about the economy and accuse foreigners of being rapists.

      • Clare says:

I don’t think Farage pushed Brexit through – it was the conservative defectors like Boris Johnson who made the biggest difference, I think…I mean credit to him for playing Cameron so hard that he called a vote in the first place, but Farage is highly highly unpopular here…even amongst the Leave crowd.

      • Tina says:

It’s definitely not supposed to happen that foreign politicians campaign for US politicians, but it does sometimes. Netanyahu effectively campaigned for Romney in 2012, and had to do a lot of backtracking when Obama won.

      • Achoo says:

Even though he was the leader of a political party in the UK Nigel isn’t really a UK politician , he has never been an elected member of the UK parliament, the best he could do was MEP (Member of the European Parliament).

I think this is tit for tat, over Obama visiting Britain during the Brexit campaign and making speeches on behalf of Cameron where he threatened to send Britain to the “back of the queue” if the public voted to leave the European Union , sauce for the goose.

  9. Patricia says:

I can’t wait to see those damn tax returns. What could he possibly be hiding? This orange troll has no shame, so what could it be?

    • FingerBinger says:

The only thing it could be is Trump isn’t as rich as he says he is.

      • doofus says:

and his ties to Russian banks and oligarchs, and that he doesn’t donate nearly as much to charity as he says he does.

I was reading a bit on the Comedy Central roast they did for Drumpf, and there were almost no topics off-limits for jokes…he OK’d jokes about his ex wives, about his hair, about his “attraction” to his daughter, almost anything…except jokes about him not being as rich as he says he is. THAT is his achilles heel.

THAT’S what the Clinton campaign needs to keep hammering at.

      • K says:

Well yeah he definitely isn’t as rich as he says.

However the thing that will upset most people is he probably pays 0% income tax- which is a huge possibility because of all these real estate/developer loopholes.

My guess is he doesn’t want people to know he isn’t that rich and pays 0% income tax.

      • EM says:

Agreed – it will be the tax loopholes and credits that will be eye-opening. Granted his supporters could care less but hopefully those undecided will care. God do I hate this election.

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

I am guessing money from Russia, he has been bankrupt several times so who is supplying him with money and why? I am scared for Americans right now from my little spot in Ireland.

I know, I will tighten my tin foil hat.

      • Jwoolman says:

Doesn’t he also owe a bunch to the Bank of China? US banks seem to be done with him because of his unusual bankruptcy history.

      • Lama Bean says:

You’re not wearing a tin hat. A BUNCH of us are afraid of a Trump presidency.

      • NeoCleo says:

        ^^^^Yep, what everyone said.^^^

      • justme says:

Trump has never personally been bankrupt. some of his companies have filed for bankruptcy which is a way of preventing them from going out of business (it’s called corporate restructuring). It’s pretty common in the business world. I know this because I work for a huge law firm and I worked for a corporate restructuring partner for many years.

      • doofus says:

but his ALSO went out of business.

Drumpf casinos, board game, airlines, vodka, steak, magazine, mortgage, university…

      • Mary Mary says:

According to a times news article: a Manhattan office building which Trump partly owns — “carries a $950 million loan,” . Goldman Sachs and the Bank of China are two of the building’s four lenders.

A news article mentioned that they found holdings by Trump have debt amounting to at least $650 million, which is a far cry from the amount ($315 million) filed on the personal financial disclosure forms he gave to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Is this why he doesn’t and hasn’t released his tax returns?

    • PunkyMomma says:

I’m thinking medical expenses. You know, co-pays for procedures like hair implants and penile enlargement. Because, you know, he’s not paying out of his own pocket if he can stick it to an insurance company.

    • mia girl says:

I think @FingerBinger is right about the MAIN ego-based reason Trump will not release his taxes. By releasing them he will destroy the essence of his brand which is that he is the YUGEST, most successful billionaire in the history of billionaires! This plus the almost certainty that he likely paid very little to no taxes on the income he did earn last year.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Debt. Lots and lots of debt, rolling over year after year.

  10. Jayna says:

Trump called Hillar a bigot in his speech. Hillary took him down in her retort on bringing a hate-filled campaign into the mainstream, paraphrasing. She really went after him.

    • a reader says:

Although I didn’t back her in the primary, I’m a bit excited about her speech today in Nevada. She is going to go hard on the barking yam and tie him to the alt-right movement. Should be a spectacular takedown.

      • SilverPoodle says:

OMG – the barking yam! I love that one.

I hope her speech is a total take down. Unfortunately Trump has let these nasty white nationalists out of their foil covered closets. And they are proud to let their freak flags fly. This election won’t undo that. It will take years to get these people back under their troll bridges.

  11. Sam says:

My husband and I are debating whether this is some kind of elaborate performance art, setup for a new media company or something else, because it sure as hell ain’t an actual presidential campaign!

    • FingerBinger says:

I think it started as a joke. Nobody especially Trump thought he would be the nominee.

      • lucy2 says:

I’ve always thought that too, and then he got a little taste of the power, and went drunk/insane with it.

    • It’s what happens when a narccisist thinks “Why the hell can’t I run for Presidenf?”

Add in the desperation of the Republican Party, sprinkle in some ‘coincidental’ white supremacist support and voila one orange Trump Upside Down Campaign ala burnt toast.

    • Jwoolman says:

There is good evidence that it started as a way to negotiate higher pay for his tv show and/or a show he was pitching. So initially he was running for publicity, not to actually win. Apparently he also discussed running the Apprentice show from the Oval Office if he won ….

The Donald is certainly in it for the money, but he’s also addicted to cheering crowds. So who knows what his motivations are now. He’s definitely scamming as much $$$$ as possible from his supporters and the Republican Party, both directly and indirectly via overcharging for use of facilities that give him profit.

He’s such an obvious con man to me and his lies are so easy to track down, I really can’t figure out how he’s lasted so long. I guess his followers are just so happy to have someone entertaining (he’s basically an insult comic with a curious lack of a real sense of humor) who makes it okay to be a bigot in public again, they don’t really care. He really tapped into the ugly side of America pretty fast. Even if he is crushed on Election Day, we are going to be dealing with that ugliness for a long time to come. Maybe it’s like a boil, you have to lance it and let all the pus out before you can start to heal. But there is risk of a more systemic infection if you’re not careful.

    • Lama Bean says:

I think he has evolved in his goals, mainly to suit his ego.

      1. Announced campaign-wanted to be on the political stage nationally to get attention and “be taken seriously”.
      2. Start winning primary states-“oh crap I’m winning. They like me. They really like me.”
      3. Clinch nomination-“I beat 18 people this way. I just need to beat one more and I’m in first place. Wait-that means I’m president? Cool!”
      4. Epic flaming hot trash general campaign-“well I didn’t want to be president anyway. But I’m gonna keep making money off this! I should be a media mogul.”

    • Veronica says:

I wish. What’s scary about it is that Hitler was viewed much the same during his elections – too ridiculous to get into power until he did.

  12. lilacflowers says:

Lenny Kravitz performed at the DNC Convention. Someone needs to tell Lenny that he is just not that hot any more. I volunteer. As Tribute.

    I’m With Her.

    • Tiffany says:

Lilac, you have already done so much. I can take the bullet on telling Lenny. That is just the kind of gal I am. You are welcome ;).

    • Ariel says:

Lilac- you just made me laugh at my dreary desk. Thanks.

    • Snowflake says:

I would be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice and see him naked. And examine him thoroughly for any imperfections. And sample his delicious goodness for all womankind. 😉

  13. Cora says:

This coming from the man who had a Duck Dynasty guy and Scott Baio speak at his convention.

  14. Tate says:

I had an Antonio Sabato Jr. poster on my bedroom wall back in the 90’s. That was when he was at his height of fame as a soap star and underwear model. Talk about powerful celebrity backing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  15. K says:

He is insane. I mean he is insane and I can’t take how stupid, racist, sexist and xenophobic he is. Not to mention just how willfully erratic and unprepared

Honestly I wish Joe Biden was running, then we wouldn’t have these email, play for pay issues it would be no question for the entire nation. There wouldn’t be a worry.

    • SpunkyPR says:

I think Joe is regretting not tossing his hat in the ring. He could easily take both Drumpf and Clinton.

    • Jwoolman says:

If Joe Biden were running, Trump would be smearing him also and the mainstream media would be meekly going along with it. The claims Trump makes against Hillary are baseless and yet the lies have been repeated so often that people think they must be true, that it’s “common knowledge”. The media is useless, they don’t seem able to even google a bit to steer them toward the truth.

The reason Hillary has been targeted for so long is not because she is corrupt but rather because she is so effective and thorough. This has been confirmed by many people of all political types who have worked with her. When she attempted health care reform during Bill’s Administration, she was threatening very high profits in the medical insurance industry. So they proceeded to try to neutralize her. The Republicans have the closest ties with the insurance companies and also they like to go after Democrats anyway. That’s when the sport of smearing Hillary began, and it was revved up again every time it looked as though she would be in a position of influence.

To show you what we are dealing with: When the Affordable Care Act was passed more recently, it was structured to make sure the insurance companies would still be rolling in profit. That wasn’t enough for them, so they often narrowed networks to keep a lot of people from benefitting while the federal government still paid the insurance companies huge amounts of money for basically emergency-only coverage ($740 per month in my case, my local hospital and all affiliated doctors are out of network only for the exchange policies). They also cancelled policies to force lower income people to the exchange, so they could get subsidized policies at much higher premiums that looked great on paper but in practice were not useful for routine care. This maximized the insurance companies’ profits.

Hillary now is talking about pushing for extension of Medicare downward in age, starting in the mid-fifties instead of at 66 or 67. This matches my experience with the age at which the premiums started rising at a crazy rate (30% to 35% per year) and the deductibles were pushed higher and higher also. I had to drop insurance when it reached 53% of my income and the deductible ($1000 when I was 50) reached $5000. So I assume the insurance companies are getting apoplectic again and that will inspire lots of money finding its way into Trumpian coffers and lots of ridiculous smears (such as against the Clinton Foundation, an A-rated charity with low overhead of about 11% whose books are open and which has been funding projects here and abroad especially on healthcare issues, half the people in the world treated for AIDS get medication through the Foundation).

So be careful what you believe. Hillary has been relentlessly investigated and re-investigated by people hellbent on destroying her, and they keep coming up with nothing. But they keep repeating the charges, because they know that repeating a lie begins to sound like it must be truth.

      • *cheers, applause, and whistles!*

I long since stopped believing the majority of criticism of Hilary, not because her judgement was iffy, but when I saw individuals in politics scolding her for essentially being too good at her job.

Now they have to create this health rumors to push some sort of illusion to further add to the “But is she qualified?” mystique. .

      • K says:

Ok stop it- sorry I can’t with this anymore. I’m liberal and I will be voting for Hillary, I think that she is beyond smart and will do a great job but this idea that the media picks on her is not completely true. Yes she gets more negative media coverage and she has an incredible sexist coverage to deal with. I totally agree but some of this coverage is earned!

She was WRONG to do the at home server, it could be a huge national security issue, and while she didn’t do anything illegal she skated the line.

With the Clinton Foundation you are right it is an INCREDIBLE organization and what it has done in the world is beyond amazing, but PRESIDENT OBAMA asked for there to be a unbreakable wall between the state department and the foundation and she didn’t respect that. Which is my biggest issue. Again she didn’t do anything illegal but she skated the line and she set up negative optics. And now it’s like well we will stop if she is elected? What does that mean?

This is what they do they skate the line, you are right nothing sticks because they don’t violate the law and they create a lot of drama out of nothing so it always feels like smoke and no fire. Which this is a bit but they make you uncomfortable and question their ethics.

And no this wouldn’t be happening with Joe Biden because he doesn’t have an ethics issue, America trusts him!

It is not all the media some it is their behavior and how they respond to it.

The reality is Hillary should be up 70 Pts she isn’t because America doesn’t trust her and her response to this adds to that.

Please note I like, respect the work Hillary has done. I think she would be a great president. That being said I love this country and value it’s citizens safety more so I don’t like that she is so unstable with the general public. I want this in the bag. We would not be worried about this country or election if it was Joe Biden.

      • adastraperaspera says:

Thanks @Jwoolman, good description, and we see the insurance companies continuing their age-old extortion by pretending that their profits are falling by being part of Affordable Care Act exchanges. It’s their way to control. For example, it’s being exposed that Aetna is actually pulling out because of the fact the Feds have blocked a merger they want. It’s BS they aren’t making profits. There are so many billions of dollars behind the scenes on these health care deals that they have always and will continue to crush anyone who gets in their way.

That said, I think as strong as Hillary Clinton is as a candidate/public servant, democracy is weakened when a family gets more than one Prez? I’m voting for Clinton, but I look forward to when we live in a society where money is out of politics and we have many different women who run for and win office.

      • Tiffany :) says:

RE: the Clinton Foundation and the State Department.

Does anyone REALLY believe that she only met with about 150 people as SOS? Seriously? The AP’s numbers are so skewed and compromised. She met with thousands.

“half the people in the world treated for AIDS get medication through the Foundation”

This is true and completely amazing. There are legitimate reasons people contribute to the Clinton Foundation.

      • Veronica says:

The recent pullout by Aetna is a prime example of how corporations work to sabotage government regulation of social services. The more they can shift the financial crunch onto the government, the more people will rally against it. Or so they think. I honestly think that if they keep it up, it will actually wind up shooting them in the foot in the long run because maneuvers like that are making a statement to the general population about how powerful they think they are. If it gets to the point that private insurance is so expensive and we’re already paying for it for others with our tax dollars, I suspect more people will start to embrace the single payer system.

    • nicole says:

I agree I love Joe Biden, lovely man who visited his Irish ancestry beside were I live in the Cooley Mountains (never knew his heritage was from this part of Ireland), but I think he is still coming to terms with his sons death, but I agree he wouldnt of had as much baggage as Hillary has, this week has not been good for her, I just wish the email storys etc would go away, but doesnt look like it, still hoping she will win, but not too confident at the moment.

  16. Soror Bro says:

This is supposed to be the anti-establishment election. He should’ve attacked those celebrities for being too mainstream. Then he would’ve won the cool kid vote.

  17. the other guy says:

How is farage a has been? He set out to achieve his objective on getting Britain out of the EU. If Trump had Farage’s discipline, he would be winning by 10 points. Hillary is the weakest Dem Candidate since Jimmy Carter (sorry, it’s the truth.)

    • silverunicorn says:

He is a has been, he was even before the referendu. Never won anything in general elections, they had.. what, 1 MP at the House of Commons?

And if Cameron hadn’t played the ‘who has the longest willy’ game, he wouldn’t have achieved anything, not by himself.

He’s probably the most hated politician of all Great Britain.

    • mary s says:

?? Jimmy Carter was not a weak president! He did good things. Such a good person as well.

  18. Insomniac says:

God, I can’t wait for the debates (which I know he’s trying to worm out of). What’s the over/under on him losing his temper and calling Hillary ugly, a bitch, or both?

  19. Nanea says:

Right. So the celebrities supporting Hillary’s campaign are “in many cases celebrities that aren’t very hot anymore”, like Lenny Kravitz, or Michail Baryshnikov…

Coming from someone who is surrounding himself not only with has-beens, but also never-weres…

    I’m with her.

  20. It'sJustBlanche says:

Yes, because Everybody Loves Chachi, right?

    Oh wait a minute.

Jimmy Carter was actually a good President and a great ex-President. He was very honest as well as knowledgeable.

Ronald Reagan and his peeps negotiated with the Iranians to keep those Embassy personnel in captivity long after they would have been released, in order to boost Reagan’s campaign against Carter – they were released on Inauguration Day, which made no sense at all if you didn’t realize what Reagan had done. Reagan tried to claim it meant they were “afraid” of him, but obviously if that were true they would have released the hostages much earlier to improve the odds of Reagan being defeated. They wanted Reagan because they knew he would make secret deals in their favor.

If Hillary is even half as good as Jimmy Carter, she’ll do fine.

    • Lilacflowers says:

And Reagan did make deals in their favor. I saw Carter speak last year. He said the proudest part of his presidency was “not one bullet fired” and that it is extremely difficult to preside over four years of peace.

    • Sam says:

Jimmy Carter is often described as somebody “who was too good to President.” That’s an apt description.

    • isabelle says:

He stood on his principles even when it wasn’t the popular thing to do. Smooth talking Regan with his underhanded meddling in the Middle East was more appealing because a lot of Americans want to stick their heads in the sand and not hear the real truth. They prefer underhanded tactics versus a truly honest President. Americans in general are a hot mess jsut like their candidates.

  22. Poor tantrummy baby, mad that the cool kids aren’t gonna want to play with him anymore.

I already know he’s not getting the election, I just want to see how bad things get for him after it when the party no longer needs him. Methinks he’s in several other people’s burn book and they’re people who won’t mind getting their hands dirty.

That’s what I have popcorn lined up for.

    • Lilacflowers says:

If they lose the Senate or House or both, they will blame him and Paul Ryan has no qualms about playing dirty.

  23. Snowflake says:

Does he not look in the mirror? How can a guy who is not even attractive talk about women’s looks?

  24. B n A fn says:

The only thing I have to say about this person is: he looks like a dad fish in the picture on the head of this board. I’m just so tired of his lying, his bigotry and screaming. whenever I see IT on tv I either change the channel or put him on mute.

  25. Trillion says:

This is what a presidential candidate sounds like? I weep for humanity.

  26. daisyfly says:

I don’t take stock in whom a celebrity endorses politically. I simply don’t value their opinion as actors/actresses/musicians when it comes to things like that.

However, when the only celebrities you have endorsing you are Chachi, Jagger, the duck boinker, and Ted “I adopted a little girl so I could f*ck her” Nugent, I think you should probably stay away from criticizing the celebrities that DON’T endorse you.

  27. B n A fn says:

Just read where trump took $55,000 out of his campaign funds to buy his own. books. Then he tripled his rent now that the people are sending money to his campaign. He went from something like $33,000 monthly rent to over $100,000 rent. I see he start stealing from the poor working people sending him their hard earned cash. This is just the beginning. I’m saying if he ever becomes president he is going to blow us up and steal from us blind. The man is a conman, a snake oil sales man and some very bright people is falling for this con.

  28. joannie says:

This election campaign stoops to a lower level every day. It’s disgusting.

  29. Christin says:

Cher ripped into him a few days ago. He may be too afraid to directly insult her.

This post is exactly right — Not only the convention, but his shows, featured one-time C-listers at best.

But please don’t tell that to Chachi, as his social media shows how thin-skinned he is. But he’s rich — very, very well off. Birds of a feather and all that…

Donald has burns. He has the best burns. He’s gonna make Mexico pay for all the future burns.

  31. Veronica says:

As much as I enjoy the irony of a story about political corruption actually revealing a corruption of journalistic principles, the amount of conservatives on my Facebook toting that around as proof of Clinton’s shortcomings kind of infuriates me. Like, I got plenty of criticisms of her policies outside of false allegations, yeah?

Not gonna lie though, I’m kind of smiling at the thought of Timberlake fuming over the claim he isn’t “hot” anymore.

  32. justme says:

Trump’s lost his mind BUT I don’t think this election is going to be a landslide for Hillary (who I also despise) because there’s a lot of people out there, especially in middle America, who think like Trump. It’s scary but it’s true.

I’m voting for Mayor Duke of Cormorant, Minnesota who’s a gorgeous Great Pyrenees. It’s his third win!

  33. Jayna says:

If you haven’t seen Hillary’s Reno speech today, the full text of the speech is on Huffington Post. It is simply amazing and highlights everything I am so fearful of with Trump as POTUS as far as the hate and bigotry his campaign stands for and the people he aligns himself with. I was in tears towards the end when she talked about the signs the white kids held up taunting Latino kids on an opposing team echoing Trump’s rhetoric. It
is a powerful speech. I can’t link it on my iPhone. Google: Read the full text of Hillary’s speech on the alt-right. It’s on several places as far as the full text of her speech.

    • Tate says:

I caught some of it. She did a great job. I got teary eyed when it came to the stuff about the kids. As a mom and teacher I really fear for our kids if Trump gets control of the country.

  34. Timbuktu says:

I just honestly don’t understand how a man who looks like that thinks he can insult other people’s looks. Any people, really, but especially celebrities, who are above-average looking to begin with, and get a load of plastic surgery to keep their looks up. I mean, no matter how stupid and artificial he is, surely he sees the double-standard there, right?

  35. Rose of Sharon says:

The Dems dismissed Senator Sander’s supporters. The “heir apparent” just may lose.
