True story: I couldn’t care less about the ongoing tabloid saga involving Chris Brown and his accuser, Baylee Curran. Ever since Chris Brown was arrested on Tuesday – following a 10 hour standoff with the LAPD – media outlets have been running through Baylee Curran’s history of shadiness. Like, do I think Curran sounds like a shady person? Sure. She does. But is this what should happen when a woman reports a crime? Should media outlets go after every little piece of her history? And if she does have some weird stuff in her past, does that make her any less of a victim? Of course, it’s not like Baylee is hiding away. She’s truly trying to get famous from accusing Chris Brown of armed assault. She’s talking to every media outlet who will interview her. Does that make her any less of a victim? No. Does it make her seem like a famewhore? Sort of.
So, Baylee spoke to Entertainment Tonight yesterday – you can read the full piece here. She tells her side of the story, which is that she was at Chris’s house because she wanted him to cast her in his new music video. When she went inside, she was looking at some diamonds being shown by one of Chris’s dude friends, and that’s when the dude friend and Brown started screaming at her, and that’s when Chris pulled a gun on her. She also says that Chris’s people followed her on foot after she left his property. But! Baylee’s ex-roommate claims that Baylee has a history of making up stories:
The woman who triggered Chris Brown’s arrest has a history of making up stories about people threatening to kill her … according to her former roommate. Baylee Curran filed a restraining order in 2013 claiming her roomie, Princeton Roseborough, threatened to hire a hitman to take her out. Baylee went on to claim Roseborough physically hurt her by pushing her head against a bedroom wall … hard enough to call an ambulance.
Her claims were enough for a judge to issue a temporary restraining order, but when it came time for a formal hearing, she was a no-show in court so the restraining order was lifted. Princeton, the roommate, insisted in his own legal docs that she was lying. He says Baylee was about to physically attack his girlfriend, and all he did was restrain her, and never pushed her. He submitted photos of her after the incident, which he says show no signs of injury. The photos in the legal docs are too grainy to know for sure. Either way … the case was dismissed.
So, basically, TMZ spoke to a guy that Baylee once accused of abuse and the guy was like “I never did it” and TMZ was like “case closed!” and “Team Breezy!”
There’s also some issue about a text message Baylee allegedly sent to a friend which seemed sort of incriminating, but Baylee says the text is fake – go here to read about that. Who to believe? Here’s a better question: why are people bending over backwards to give Chris Brown the benefit of the doubt but not his accuser?
Oh, and I’m using some photos from Baylee’s Instagram, which is currently being flooded by Team Breezy freaks. They’re making death threats and calling her some really horrible names. Because… Chris Brown is their hero.

Haven’t you learned? Chris Brown is NEVER at fault. He is always the victim. He was just sleeping in his house when all the evil police turned up and waited for 10 hours. he was just stretching when x y z walked into his fists etc. God. I wish you people would stop accusing poor innocent little Chris.
I know this won’t happen because he’s a celebrity, but I hope Saint Chris gets in REAL legal trouble for this. He’s a felon and there was a gun and drugs at his house. I don’t know CA laws, but here in VA if Chris pulled this sh!t he’d be in jail right now.
This case, just like Amber Heard, makes me hope i’m never a vicim of a crime. I have a record (a few years ago I was dumb but I never hurt anyone) so I guess I wouldn’t be believed. I also am a casual pot smoker, so according to internet comments I must be asking for trouble. Doesn’t matter that I’m a working professional who pays taxes and learned and grew from my past mistakes.
He is from where my sis lives. He has always shown terrible judgement and worse, violent behavior. When people show you who they are, believe them the first time!
Oh. My. God. Chris Brown is suddenly a saint, isn’t he? Then why the stand-off? If you did nothing wrong, call your attorney and meet with the police. You don’t have a stand-off and carry on. He has enough money that he can do things “right,” and not get killed while doing it.
As always, he will get off, because – despite him invoking BLM – he is too privileged to actually face any consequences for his crime (if one was committed). I have to hand it to Mark Geragos, he is one heck of an attorney.
The “stand off” description came from the press. I do not fault him for exercising his Constitutional Rights guilty or not. If the police want to search your home you should ask them to get a warrant. Just like you should never talk to the police without a lawyer. Ever. For any reason. Getting a lawyer means you are smart and know your rights, it doesn’t mean you are guilty.
What you should not do is escalate the situation and turn it in to a standoff. Don’t yell taunts at the police, don’t throw guns and drugs out the window, and don’t post videos about the police plotting against you and saying “F*** the police.” Don’t escalate the situation while they wait for a warrant.
Also instead of invoking BLM and devaluing it by giving fodder for racists start you own movement: #TheVictimFantasiesOfViolentMillionaireBulliesMatter
They did get a warrant. And then waited some more. They let him speak with his attorney, and then waited some more. Additionally, after throwing a bag of guns and drugs out of a window, that gives probably cause and a warrant would not have been needed at that point. Yet still they waited. I don’t think the police did anything wrong here. I think Chris upped the drama unnecessarily.
How does it make sense that he will throw out a bag full of guns out the window when he has helicopters and police all over his property? He had enough time to hide it very well in his house.
Some people are determined to blame a woman for the actions of a man. Baylee potentially being shady has nothing to do with Brown’s choice to pull a gun on her or his choice to have a standoff with police. Brown has a history of criminal behavior including assaulting women, he is never going to change.
Dollars to donuts all of this is from Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos. He’s trying her in the court of public opinion so if/when there is a trial, the jury pool already has her in their mind as “shady” and unbelievable. He’s probably already talking to the DA’s office and calling her account into question and asking for some kind of a misdemeanor plea deal.
Geragos is a good attorney and unfortunately my husband is right (he is also an attorney) when he asks, “How much justice can you afford?”
We all know OJ was guilty, but he could afford the best legal minds in the country to defend him. He got away with murder.
Like OJ, Chris Brown can probably afford a lot of justice. I see Geragos’ fingerprints all over this.
Agreed. Kind of ironic that HER history is being called into question, but what the heck about Chris’ history? If anybody has a shady history, history of violence, assault, and flipping the script to save his own arse, it’s Chris Brown.
She is a hustler – no doubt. I saw her on the news last night….walking around all melancholy in a wrap dress outside posing the whole time. So, she’s willing to make a buck any way she can. But it has nothing to do with Brown waving a gun around, trying to have her phone taken away, making threats, creating a media circus, trying to dispose of weapons and drugs before the cops came in, making videos invoking BLM, etc. All of THAT is on Fists Brown.
I’m disturb by ur comment and believe its egregious on ur part to compare OJ and Chris Brown. “He’s trying her in the court of public opinion” (your words). Let me get this straight a woman uninvited comes to ur HOME asked to leave she refuses finally leaves because the threat of gun violence, she immediately leaves, runs to TMZ to tell her story (this is normal-NOT). The SWAT team shows up along with countless reporters steaming this incident live and she’s tried in the court of public opinio. WOW! The names and the history the bring up regarding this young man is outrageous. This woman has a history of lying and thievery and we should believe everything she says. She has now taken her show on the road (talk shows) and Chris has to post $250,000 bond to be released. White privilege at its highest! (Yes I said it).
@Edwin – Yes he is trying her in the court of public opinion! Mark Geragos is doing his job! He is shining a light on HER past and calling HER account of what happened into question. He is doing what he’s paid to do, which is cause reasonable doubt in everyone’s mind as to what may or may not have happened at that house.
It will come down to her word vs. Chris’s word and Mark Geragos is painting her as a not-someone-you-can-trust-to-tell-the-truth “victim.”
The only reason I brought up OJ is because if OJ were a lower-middle class black man who could not afford the defense team that was put together and he was stuck with a just out of school public defender, he more than likely would have been found guilty. Likewise, if Chris Brown were just another black man and not wealthy and famous, he would not have the powerhouse attorney he has in Mark Geragos. That is the only comparison I make to OJ.
Look at the Stanford Rape Case. You have a wealthy white kid raping a woman and getting a few months. If that had been a middle class black man with no political connections to the judge, his time would have been harsher.
It is my opinion that justice is not blind, it is also not cheap.
She didn’t run straight to TMZ. She was HIDING under a car! The neighbors called 911 for her. She spoke with TMZ later, but so did Chris.
@Edwin
This is one of the mildest cases of violence Chris Brown has seen himself involved in. Why exactly is it hard to believe he’d point a gun at someone?
I think it does. The people here are using Chris’ past behavior against him, so why not her? If he has a shady and violent past (which he does), then why can’t we show that she has a liar filled past? Let’s put it all on the table and have everyone make up their own minds using all the information.
Exactly! I’m not a Chris Brown fan. Sure he is an ass, but apparently so is she. Why are so many people giving her the benefit of the doubt and believing her right away when she has a shady past and present herself? Why not just hear both sides of what allegedly happened then form an opinion?
Yeah because it’s soooooo unlikely that Chris Brown would threaten a woman with violence. 🙄 Shall we link to the photos of Rhianna’s pulverized face now or later?
His fans are just loser enablers now..,look at him! He’s not even 30 and he looks horrific (like the garbage he is personally). That’s not clean living my dears. I assume they’ll all be weeping and wailing (and blaming others) when he’s dead before 35? Whatever.
Because this is how it works. Man does something to woman. Woman accuses man of crime and it may have a negative impact on his life, so everyone wants to give the man the benefit of the doubt and disparage the woman who accused him. It’s sickening.
I mean COME ON TMZ. I’m sure plenty of abused people don’t show up in court and they have a million reasons ranging from “couldn’t get off work” to “too afraid”. And she made this all up for…attention, I guess? As if it’s so hard to believe Chris Brown is prone to acts of violence.
TMZ has practically made a career out of defending and caping for violent men, so this is right in line with their MO.
Gross. Thank goodness there are sources other than TMZ for celebrity gossip.
Yes, thank you, tmz is total crap
I tried to find the audio of his tantrum after the GMA meltdown- TMZ lists “Media Removed.” Go figure.
Emily, that was where I was going also. Kaiser, why is it so hard to believe the woman? Because she’s a woman, he’s a man so she must be a slut and he’s a hardworking innocent……
Chris Brown sucks hard. It doesn’t sound like she’s that likable either. I haven’t read anyone going out of their way to discredit her. However, I will say, her story is lacking some details. The idea that someone is “showing off” their diamonds and then gets mad when you look at them seems odd… but perhaps it’s the truth. I was wrong on Lochte.
Also, I know some people are upset at the racial optics of this, especially given her grab for attention. If one sees Brown as (potentially) innocent, then the issue of a white women falsely accusing a black man becomes a problem. Personally, I would like to wait for more facts because he doesn’t exactly seem stable.
In the questionable text message, “she” states that she called the diamonds fake, and that’s when the…kerfuffle took place. Not quite as odd in that scenario because I can absolutely imagine the kind of d-bag who shows off his possessions being offended by anything other than sheer adulation and awe.
Once again it’s never Brown’s fault. There are so many people with this attitude and never take responsibility for their actions. Poor, poor me – they are out to get me. I find it interesting that they drug tested him at the hospital. Also, if he was so innocent why didn’t he let the police in when they got there? To me, if you have nothing to hide then cooperate fully. Those were not the actions of an innocent man.
No, it is quite reasonable to require a warrant before allowing police to search your home. Likewise waiting for a lawyer before answering any questions. These are rights for good reason. You can get into lifelong trouble by assuming it’s ok to bypass these precautions because you “have nothing to hide”. You don’t know if the particular officers are good guys or bad guys, if they are under pressure to close a case or not. There have been too many cases of interrogations without a lawyer present ending up with false confessions, for instance. There is also risk of planted evidence. Most officers won’t do that, but you don’t know which might for various reasons. It is also important in general to properly limit police power. Let them convince a judge to issue a warrant, and make sure that you have a knowledgeable legal advocate by your side. This is especially important for someone with a prior felony conviction, but everybody should be cautious.
Yes, that all is quite reasonable. But the throwing of drugs and weapons out the window? Threatening someone at gunpoint? Generally everything else Brown does? Not so much. I wish people wouldn’t get so hung up on the search warrant and lawyer part when that’s the only bits that make sense.
But he still didn’t allow the police in even AFTER the warrant was obtained, even AFTER his lawyer had spoken with him. A little bit of time to wait for those things is wise. Delaying for hours after they have been obtained is just escalation.
“why are people bending over backwards to give Chris Brown the benefit of the doubt but not his accuser?”
If you find the answer to this question, please let me know.
This isn’t some grand conspiracy to take down Chris Brown, yet you have people bending over backwards to blame the police, his victim, the media, whatever. No wonder Brown can never take responsibility for his own actions–his hanger-ons, his fanbase, and every person on his team continue to enable his destructive behavior. SMDH.
She sounds shady, absolutely, but I’m taking her side on this one because I’m tired of the blame-the-victim mentality that comes up every time a rich male celeb is accused of a crime.
All I can say is – it must take a very special kind of head space to be THAT kind of fan. To be THAT obsessed with someone you don’t know, that you consistently go to bat for them, and attack anyone who points out facts. To be that obsessed with someone who doesn’t even know you exist is just so strange to me.
17 year old Erinn was mega bummed when Pete Wentz married Ashlee Simpson. But that’s just it – I was 17 and I was vaguely bummed out about it because I thought he was soooo cool. This was peak emo age for me, and even then, by the next day it was like “ugh stupid Pete Wentz. Oh well”.
I can’t imagine being an adult and being SO worked up over a celebrity that I felt the need to defend and defend and defend them and start conspiracies about how the media just wants to get them down. Especially someone like CB because this happens OFTEN. He’s always into something he shouldn’t be, or assaulting someone. I can’t imagine being one of those people defending him after he almost killed Rhianna – but there were SO many people doing just that.
Exactly. You and I always seem to share the same sensibility about stuff like this.
I’m all for remaining objective and giving people the benefit of the doubt—IF earned. But this man has proven time and time again what kind of a person he is and as they say, when someone shows you who they are, believe them.
I don’t think they have a life beyond him and what he brings to their life. If he goes to jail/prison, they go back to being nobodies and losers. So, they’ll defend him to the end, lie for him, whatever it takes to maintain the status quo.
As usual Erinn, I completely agree! The amount of times I’ve had to read, “Well he hit Rhianna because she cheated on him and then was grabbing his phone.” Like, as IF that was the case (no). BUT even if it was….oh so if someone cheats or tries to grab your phone the fitting punishment is being beaten? WE don’t even beat criminals!!! But for some reason, people think it’s okay to physically ‘punish’ women for perceived offenses. SMDH!
This is the piece that disturbs & interests me the most. This is what needs to change to get abuse out of our society. I am not okay with any of it but I have studied abuse and can wrap my brain around it (why a perp abuses). I am sure that Brown will keep abusing women & people in general. What I don’t get is the people that support him! It makes my head spin. The people that coddled Cosby, Turner’s judge, etc, etc, etc.
And it’s not just idolizing celebrities, this is a lot of people’s reactions to abuse. When a woman says that she was beaten/raped/etc there are people whose automatic reactions are “she must be lying. I met him once and he was SO nice.” I have a relative, who is extremely kindhearted, and her gut is to always side with the perp. She just doesn’t want to believe that these ills happen in the world & would rather not see or here about them. She drives me crazy and I’ve had to do a lot of deep breathing and biting my tongue.
My theories are that people victim blame so that they feel like they can control if this happens in their life (ie- if she was raped because she was at the frat then I will tell my daughters not to go to frats)? That some people are more comfortable thinking that a woman is a liar then thinking that a man would beat/rape? That people don’t want to admit that they can’t pick out a perpetrator and so they feel less safe? That people don’t want to admit that their idol is also a rapist because it just feels icky and they really liked that show (grrrr…..)? Some people are an abuser or love(d) an abuser so they always look for the excuses for their behavior?
Whatever the reason I am so disturbed with victim blaming & the gut reaction to tear down the accuser. This is what keep victims silent & hurts so bad. It’s one thing for a man to abuse you- and it’s something that most victims can wrap their heads around eventually. It’s a who different ball game when you come forward & are met with resistance & social violence from others simply for being a victim & speaking out. This piece is what truly breaks my heart.
@MC2 You’re absolutely right, I live in a place full of violence (violent as in “body parts appearing on bags every single week”) and the reasons you give are the main ones why people blame the victims saying they surely were doing something shady and such.
Also, it’s true that people don’t want to be fans of an abuser, so they act like the guy is innocent, to feel better about it.
Of course she’s shady, she willingly associated with Chris Brown. She’s hung out with him more than once, met him while hanging with Beiber, and was angling to get put in CB’s music video. She must be aware of his history, and was keen anyway. Shaaaaaady.
That in no way discredits her and I too am tired of this “oh well if she’s not the Virgin Mary then she must be up to something”. Ugh. Just based on the guy’s history I’m very inclined to believe her, because it sounds exactly like something he would do. Why are people so loathe to even consider that?
“Just based on the guy’s history I’m very inclined to believe her, because it sounds exactly like something he would do.”
Exactly. Sometimes the shortest, most obvious path to the truth is actually the right road to take.
But ITA with everything else you said as well. So exhausting, all of it.
I have a rule of thumb – and it works for horrible celebrities and other individual people, institutions and entire countries.
If one party has much more power and influence than the other, and things still go horribly, horribly wrong, then it’s usually the entity with most power who is at fault.
Here? Chris Brown.
(I would give examples for institutions and countries but they are always contentious, so fill in your own blanks. I’m sure you get my drift).
“oh well if she’s not the Virgin Mary then she must be up to something”. – Wren
SO TRUE Wren. If you’re not the perfect victim well then it doesn’t matter what happens to you. Oh but wait, unless you’re a man. Then your past behavior shouldn’t be held against you. But women? SCORNED FOR LIFE.
Do we even live in this century?
” Just based on the guy’s history I’m very inclined to believe her, because it sounds exactly like something he would do. Why are people so loathe to even consider that? ”
“Just based on this gals history I’m very inclined to believe him, because it sounds exactly like something she would do. Why are people so loathe to even consider that?”
And no, I’m not a fan of Chris Brown. I was just as disgusted as most when excuses were offered for his criminal acts. I also think he pulled a gun on her, just as she claims. HOWEVER, there seems to be a double standard at work here. He gets his past thrown in his face, but its wrong when people do the same to her. IMO, her past and motives should be discussed.
The answer to the header question is…because she has a vagina. That’s what it comes down to. It doesn’t matter that Chris Brown has a known history of violence against women (and apparently men). He is still making music, still has fans and still keeps his freedom and money, while tossing women and guns and drugs all over the place. I know the day will come when we aren’t treated as second class citizens, as objects to be passed around amongst buds. I just don’t know if I have the patience to wait much longer. They can rape us, beat us, kill us..it’s all still our fault. I sincerely hope that people are teaching their boys to be better than this, and their girls how to defend against dangers like this. F-ck you, Chris Brown, and the society that allows you and other abusers of women to thrive.
I think you nailed it.
Wow kri I saw this after my post above. We’re thinking right on the same line.
He is awful and she sounds like a real piece of work too. I guess that’s why they were hanging out together.
I agree with you. We already have tons of evidence that CB is a dickhead and I’m sure more will come out about him but in order to have breaking news tmz and others are looking into what happen and things about the young lady are popping up and they are not so sweet. That does not mean that she is lying but it does play apart in his defense in case she wants to sue him. I hope that he does not get out of any criminal charges because there is no way he should ever be anywhere near a gun. The truth is somewhere in the middle regardless how you feel about CB or the young lady.
^^^ This
As a victim of domestic violence, I find this hard to read. They rarely change and the hits keep coming. This is just how he is and any woman who gets with him needs to expect to be abused.
Why on earth is he even allowed to own a gun ??
The NRA and the GOP
As a felon he is not allowed to have a gun.
He’s not “allowed”, technically, but people do things they aren’t “allowed” to do the time. And getting a gun in the US, awhether you’re “allowed” to own one or not, is about as easy as illegally downloading Game of Thrones.
Of all acts of violence he’s done, threatening someone with a gun is actually one of the mildest. I just can’t with all the people defending this man. You might as well start saying Hitler was an inclusive and caring man and that jews signed up for concentration camps themselves.
And even if this woman made all up, I aint even mad at her? Chris Brown should be in jail. He should not have a career. He should not have advertisement deals. Any move to put Chris Brown down is a good move.
His invokement of BLM pisses me the f*ck off because he’s the living example of how a man with money and connections can do absolutely anything he pleases without facing any repercussions. Im sure Chris Brown has been confronted with racism many times in his life, but in this particular situation he belongs to an incredibly reduced and extremely privileged minority.
Word.
Well CB has some delusional fan base that see him as a victim of circumstance not responsible for one damn thing he’s done . Same type of women who defend Johnny Depp and other abusers. The fact that she’s white and most of his fan base are black women who resent the white women that hanger on black musicians and athletes doesn’t help.
My issue with her I believe she is conveniently ommitting stuff so that’s makes her credibility questionable. She says in one of her dozen interviews that she doesn’t want to discuss if they were drugs being used at the party because she doesn’t want get him in trouble.Bih! you already divulged he pointed a gun at you so he is already in trouble.I am also a little bothered by a person who endured this traumatic event, gun pointed, running for your life, hiding under SUV,etc.Yet she seems fine doing interviews hours later for TMZ,KTLA,Extra,Inside Edition,Entertainment Tonight E News and on and on.It’s overkill it’s giving me the impression that you want to be a celebrity rather than just wanting to give your side of the story. She could have done one interview with ET and be done with.
Bayle Lochte OOPs I meant Curran is not being entirely truthful IMO
It’s very possible Chris was high and thought she was trying to steal jewelry and pulled a gun on her and told her to get out.But don’t act like you were at his house at 3 am only for a “business deal”.Also return that crown back to the beauty pageant
OMG I’m laughing out loud at the last part of your comment.
I just don’t understand that there are still people hashtaging TeamBreezy and a lot of them are women. How does this man with such history of abusing women still have female fans?
After i learned of the Evilness of Kirk Douglas i never watched any of his old Movies again, and i loved Spartacus.
Can’t handle anything Charly Sheen or Woody Allen either.
Putting Kirk Douglas in the same category of Woody Allen and Charlie Sheen is really lame. No one has actually come forward and accused him of rape. Enty is known to fabricate (and admits to it on his site). The person claiming to be RDJ wasn’t RDJ. Sure it’s possible the rumor is true (Rape obviously happened in Old Hollywood) but it’s just as likely a made up story. Because CDAn regularly publishes blinds from tumblr crazies.
Nah. Enty and CDAN did not invent that story about Kirk Douglas being a rapist. I heard it at least 15 years ago.
It’s still a rumor with untrustworthy origins and not an account from an actual victim or someone close to her. I’m not a Kirk Douglas fan or apologist I just think it’s disreputable to put actual and verified accounts from the victims of Woody Allen and Roman Polanski in the same category.
This whole story is the underwear the puppy drags out of the hamper and drops at the feet of your houseguest.
Ha. Junior Cat likes to rummage through trash in the bathroom and kitchen and carry them elsewhere, so I find things all over the house that I never put there… So yes, apt analogy.
Hopefully noone except his fans are supporting Brown. But to get to the bottom of the story,no fact should be neglected. We need to know who she is a much as we know about him. She could be just blowing things out of proportions and since he is Chris Brown a woman hater,he gets to be hated once more.
We really don’t need to know “who she is as much as we know about him” at all. All we need to know about her is: was a gun pointed at her because she was looking at jewelry? That’s it. Her past, whether or not she’s fame-hungry, doesn’t matter at all.
No, we do NOT need to know who she is, we need only discover the events of the evening. All else is moot.
Her history becomes an issue if other credible witnesses do not appear or if they contradict her testimony, simply to decide if her testimony is credible regardless. So in that sense, it’s relevant. The details of her theft charge, for instance, actually help her case because it was obviously a dispute between friends and not jewelry theft – so she doesn’t have a history as a jewel thief. But if she did, that would add credence to the alleged reason she was told to leave.
I really think the big problem for Chris is going to be the question “did he or didn’t he have a gun in his hands” because of his felony.
Team Shady Lady, because once an entitled, rage -filled, hair-trigger douchebag, always an entitled, rage-filled, hair-trigger douchebag.
It’s the same bullshite p.o.v. that Team Depp tried to pull. Two peas in a misogynistic, deranged pod.
Yep
Well, I guess she doesn’t sound too credible, but he is still a lip-synching scumbag
If he is guilty of something he should be charged for that.In the meantime we should wait instead of spewing hate his way without knowing the true story.Getting emotional proves nothing.AndAnd is a disservice to the case this is from a woman who dislikes Chris Brown.
The same way the media victim blames unarmed black men that they shoot and kill all the time. The same way the dug through Trayvon Martins Facebook. The same way they dug up domestic violence charges on that kids father that had nothing to do with the police killing an unarmed civilian. This is the way of the media in good ol Merica. If your not upset about how the portray black people how have been killed by the police please don’t get outraged about two alive and breathing liars!
I’m all for lambasting Chris when he deserves it, but something about this story doesn’t sit well with me.
Yep this is how I feel. I can’t stand him but this story is sketchy and she’s suspect as well. All I know is they’re both scum. I’m surprised they’re not best friends lol
The double standards are incredible.
Take twitter for example. People are quick to discredit Swifty for her shady acts (I mentioned her cause she is the most popular one, but this happens to basically every female celebrity) but they will go out of their way to justify someone like Chris Brown. Or Johnny Depp. Or Bieber.
The difference? The ladies have a vagina and not a dick.
It’s disgusting
THIS all day every day. I will never understand it..
Absolutely.
With his felony conviction for assault, I would think him having a weapon is problematic if not illegal. Who gives a $&@ if the woman is a lying turd. He should be in jail for that alone. An abusive jerk with a gun never ends well.
Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis.
Even if she’s lying about the details, she’s not lying about this turd being a violent PoS. That much is as true as the grass is green.
That’s my thinking – if she lied, she lied, but if it resulted in him being found in possession of a gun and/or drugs, then he needs to face the consequences of that, regardless of the story that brought the police to him.
I hate Chris Brown. I have been sickened by all of the chances he has gotten for redemption while he subsequently shows no growth or gratitude. I am a Rihanna Stan so I have been Anti-CB since 2009. There’s definitely no team breezy over here, but this girl seems to be an opportunist and thief with a long history. That is what disappoints me about the story. She is most likely lying and his fans will use this as another “poor Chris” tale.
The biggest issue is that she changed her story several times. I wish he’d go to jail until he’s very old.
You said it yourself. Because the abuser is their hero.
If Brown was high as a kite and ran over a nun on her way to feed the homeless with a rescue puppy under each arm it would still be the nuns fault somehow.
I’m not a Chris Brown fan, but I think there could be more to the story. Most likely they were all doing drugs and something happened.
I wonder if the stalling was not only to get rid of drugs in the house but also to reduce detectability of some substances. Alcohol would be below legal driving limits within about six hours. Don’t know if there are other drugs with such short clearance times, though. But drugs in the duffel bag tossed put the window, if actually true, is baffling. The toilet is the traditional disposal route…
Dumbledork you are correct. Under California Penal Law it is a felony for a convicted felon to purchase, own, receive or have possession of a gun. It’s now up to the D.A. to prove it.
This is a viable theory about why the duffel bag with guns was tossed. With so many people in the house, unless video is produced (not a chance) – the gun can’t be linked to him.
Shady witness or not, are any of us shocked about this? He has serious issues with anger and impulse control.
He isn’t allowed to have a gun in his house a registered gun owner isn’t allowed to have a gun on the premises unless said gun is in a locked compartment completely inaccessible to the felon. No way this is legal no matter how many guns were tossed from the window.
Never liked the guy. I cant understand why women keep making excuses for this nutjob?
Ok, I am NOT a team breezy fan. Matter of fact, I think he’s a druggy with some serious issues that has good lawyers. I think he perpetually gets away with a lot of stuff, and I would seriously hate to live in any neighborhood he lives in. He seems like the type that is self centered and reeks havoc without giving a damn to those around him. Given that I believe he isn’t a productive member of society, and should see a lot of time behind some jail bars, I STILL do not believe this girl completely. I understand the theory of victim-shaming, and I abhor it. But I have a hard time believing someone whom for all intents and purposes, got dolled-up and headed straight for TMZ hours after allegedly having a firearm pointed at her. And then in the following day(s), continues to go to other outlets. I have a hard time believing someone, who’s actions proceding this, to be to run to the nearest gossip site. It just doesn’t sit right with me. I would be lying if I said some of the things she has done in the past few years, doesn’t impact me in a way that I question her character. It makes me question if she is lying about the whole event. But in the same aspect, CB’s past also makes me question if he actually did it as well. To me, it feels as if there are some whom want to negate BC’s past and believe her, because CB’s has a past of violence, and vice versa. Let’s be real everyone, neither one of these people are stellar members of society. Both of capable of shade, one has the potential to be lying about it all for fame, and the other has the potential of actually pulling a gun on someone due to both of their histories.
I agree.
I’m surprised Gloria Allred isn’t already at her side.
Just made the mistake of reading through comments on her IG.
“How dare you lie and say you’re going to tell the cops that he tried to kill you and then he put a gun to your head Chris Brown would never do that ever he has a child…”
I don’t use internet acronyms often, but…SMDH.
I read stories like these and I’m always hesitant to comment, but the more I hear about people automatically taking the victim’s side in an attempt to account for the decades of victim blaming, the more afraid I become.
When I was in college I was accused of rape. It was a rather vicious attack and the images of the assault at the police station still haunt me to this day. The problem is I was a thousand miles away from the location of her attack when it occurred. Even though I was able to provide evidence to back up my story, I was still ostracized because the victim fingered me as her assailant. When I spoke up in self defense I was accused of glossing over the pain I had caused the victim, and I supposedly had “connections” that got the charges dropped on a technicality. I was assaulted on multiple occasions, I had to leave school because professors refused to have me as a student in their classes, my life was effectively ruined.
I later found out by pure accident that I was fingered because the rapist was from a prestigious family, and the victim didn’t want to deal with the fallout of naming him. While she eventually apologized, there are still people in the area who refer to me as “that rapist guy.” While I’m sympathetic to the fact that she was raped, and happy that her assailant was eventually brought to justice, I don’t know that I can ever forgive her for what she did. The incident has forever changed me. I can’t help but feel that if there wasn’t a rush to judgement things might have turned differently. Somewhere along the line victims became beyond reproach, and because of it things like this happen. I’m not saying we should automatically drag victims through the mud, I do think we need to make sure that the correct people are brought to justice and the only way to do that is to ask the tough, uncomfortable questions.
Your story is very troubling and I feel for you. But unlike you, Chris Brown has a very long history of violence against women, violence against men, and pulling guns on people. We aren’t just talking 2-3 incidents, it’s over 10 now. This has been happening for YEARS.
Yes, there’s no excuse for Chris Brown. I probably should have initially said that my telling the story wasn’t in defense of him. He’s already carved out a space in hell for himself. It’ll be waiting when his time comes.
Your story is a good thing to keep in mind, though! Thank you for sharing. 🙂
I am so sorry that happened to you. That is unbelievably crazy. Have you ever thought about suing her? I’m being serious. What she did had a serious impact on your life. That is so messed up what she did. How do you accuse an innocent person of rape? She is messed up.
How awful to have that stigma falsely attached to you. People who make fake accusations lije that should be jailed.
She should have made a public confession.
Why do they all wear sunglasses at night???
His attorney told LA Times no guns or diamond cross necklace were found in the house. Now of course in the 12 hrs he and his people were in the house they could have been hidden them.We will see.
I’ll probably be dismissed as a Chris Brown fan but the accuser shouldn’t be believed just because she’s a woman. And Chris Brown shouldn’t be assumed guilty because of his past. I prefer evidence instead of allegations and assumptions. Refuse to believe it but people do make false accusations. I do think something happened but I don’t know about the severity.
I don’t have a side. I just read an article that said no weapons were found inside of Chris Brown ‘s home. Anyone else read that?
I am no Chris Brown fan but the victim in this case well something in the milk isn’t clean.
Because America doesn’t have a history of white women claiming the big bad black man did something to soil her innocence. FOH!
Why is it okay to bring up Brown’s past but ignore this girl’s shady past. FOH! The girl has a history of lying. Her past behavior is enough to discredit her.
Right! That girl also has a warrant out for her arrest in NY for stealing a LV purse and some other expensive things. Why only give her the benefit of the doubt? IMO, she was probably caught trying to steal that diamond jewelry she said she was admiring. Since they kicked her out she probably just wanted to get back at them. Also, isn’t it strange how she contacted the media(TMZ) before calling the police? She just wants attention and money for interviews and a reality tv show.. Who does that if they are in fear? Her story has changed a few times also.
…jeez..Chris is always so beautifully turned out…1000% nicer than Kanye…
