I’m still a little bit surprised that we’re taking this “Prince Harry has a new girlfriend” story so seriously. Doesn’t it feel suspicious? It feels suspicious to me. While I’ll believe that Harry and Meghan Markle have been on a few dates and possibly/probably hooked up, the whole Girlfriend Rollout has been very suspicious. Suddenly, outlets like People Magazine are confirming the relationship – a “close friend of Harry’s” told People that “it’s early days” and that they have been dating for “a couple of months.” It feels too official too quickly, just my opinion, and like this story is being used to mask a different royal story? And maybe Harry feels the same way, that he’s being used. Apparently, he was supposed to fly to Canada yesterday to see Meghan but he didn’t get on the plane.
Prince Harry scrapped a secret trip to Canada to meet with new lover Meghan Markle after details of their alleged six-month relationship emerged. A ‘besotted’ Harry, 32, was booked on to a British Airways flight from Heathrow to Toronto at 11.30am and due to land in the Canadian city at 3.30pm yesterday but was a ‘no show’, a source said. Hours before he was due to leave the country claims they had been seeing each other for nearly six months broke in Britain. And it appears that concerns photographers would be waiting for him in London and Toronto may have scuppered their transatlantic tryst.
A source told the Evening Standard: ‘The flight was booked last week but he was a no-show. The crew for the British Airways flight knew the Prince was booked to travel with them. It appears he pulled out at the last minute and decided not to travel.’
One royal source suggested the pair are in a relationship but it is still considered ‘very early days’, and yesterday afternoon, at around the time Harry would have landed, Meghan wished people a ‘happy Sunday’ as she went for a drive with her two dogs.
Ruh-roh. This doesn’t bode well, I fear. While I’m not getting the vibe that Meghan is the one pushing these stories – they seem to be coming from inside the palace! – I also think that Harry will dump a girlfriend as soon as he gets any whiff of publicity. He does not want to date publicly. He’s said that many times. So now that we know about Meghan, is it over?
What else? The Daily Mail has several stories about Meghan, like this girl is being pushed to be the next Cressida Bonas or something. There’s a sympathetic story (not really) about Meghan’s “mixed race heritage” and another story about her style. People Magazine is running a piece with “five clues” that they’re dating (they’re wearing similar bracelets!).

Why is mixed race heritage in quotations?? Isnt that what she is? Anywho, this could actually be the Palace trying to sabotage this relationship (or potential for one) by leaking out stories so the Prince will bolt…thats my theory. Theyve done it before!
I think Kaiser put that in quotes because, in the US, the term “mixed race” isn’t considered to be PC and, instead, people say biracial or multiracial, if that applies.
They are UK publications. Here in the UK we use mixed raced or dual heritage.
I used quotes because I was quoting the Daily Mail. They’re the ones making a big deal about her race.
I totally agree that the palace is leaking this to torpedo the relationship. Come on, this is a true royal scandal. I kind of wishes he marries her and they have beautiful babies so that it completely blows off his grandfather’s face.
Unfortunately he loves and adores his (hateful, racist) grandfather. I very much doubt he would purposefully do anything to annoy/upset him.
The UK Press has been sniffing around and they leaked it. They wanted Harry to have a gf for months, PW and K are boring. The UK press needed Harry to have a gf.
I am not buying that it was serious anyway.

PEOPLE Mag has a new article out saying Prince Harry has already introduced her to Prince Charles and things are fine between them. I wish them the best, if it’s true. She is a smart lady according to PEOPLE.

There’s something about this story that feels off. On Sunday when this story hit she was posting on Instagram about her new clothing line. For some reason I just don’t buy that these two are dating. Maybe hooked up. But I can see him being very wary of an actress. He allegedly broke up with Cressida because she was going into acting.
He knew Cressida when she was studying to be a dancer, something she holds 2 degrees and a stint at the royal vallet school. A career in entertainment was always her agenda.
Further, her family has several actors, and a DJ, plus they are aligned with the frequently stunt queening Bransons.
He knew what he was getting into with Cressida especially because she’s been part of the royal circle all her life.
When Prince William the Heir to the Throne was chasing or trying to woo Isabella Calthorpe, the press nor the royal family seem to have no problem that she was an actress or pursuing acting, so why does it matter with Cressida or this girl being in acting or entertainment?
Exactly LAK. He knew all about Cressida, she was in University (Leeds University)majoring in dance and doing some plays. Harry and the entire Royal Family knows Cressida’s family, her mother, The Queen knew her Aristocratic Grandfather and her mother was invited on one of the royal barges for the Queen’s big party.
The thing is they would have to give it up a career though. I think ?
So that clothing line is for a Canadian retailer…I mean, I doubt Americans are going to its website and buying everything now that she is dating Harry.
It’s Reitman’s isn’t it? I used to shop there a lot (I’m Canadian) but their lines have been rather meh these past few years. I had no idea she was designing a line for them until this story about her broke, so the publicity worked on at least one person! I could see this story increasing sales, including to Americans. Assuming the clothes are any good. Reitman’s usually has decent quality and is reasonably priced (for Canada). Do *not* buy their jewelry. That stuff is flimsy.

Their clothes are uuuusssuaalllyy decent quality – but lately I haven’t seen anything I’ve been interested in, honestly. For the longest time they’ve been selling very very ‘flowy’ kind of top? I’m not sure that flowy is the correct word. But when you have a larger bust, and are trying to find clothes that don’t make you look heavier than you are – they aren’t doing a great job.

I wish he would find a nice girl and settle down. He does tend to go for the gorgeous bombshell type, and I hope meets a kind and generous woman that will work with him in his philanthropic work.

I don’t think his previous girlfriends were bombshells. Especially Cressida was nowhere near that. This girl may be a bombshell but that doesn’t mean she isn’t nice and she clearly has a passion for humanitarian work like him.
@Suzanne, according to some of the magazine’s and online sites discussing this story, she is very much involved in tons of philanthropic work.
So what if she’s gorgeous or beautiful imo and somewhat of a bombshell, that doesn’t mean she’s not nice or intelligent or charitable.

Someone on twitter posted that the whole Cambridge family joined William up in Scotland when he had an engagement there last week. They usually fly out of there on a private plane when going on holiday. Less attention paid to them there. And we know they have no problem using Harry to cover up their shenanigans.
Oh yes – their favourite diversion tactic, release stories about his brother or father to the press while the run off on a private luxury holiday. These 2 have more holidays a year than the York Princesses combined.
Good point. I think the whole Harry and Meghan story is more likely to be a smokescreen for the Dolittles having another holiday or a publicity stunt for her new clothing line, show or whatever. It’s a shame if that’s the case as it would be nice to see Harry settle down with the right person.

Conspiracy theory – maybe the palace is putting this out there because Harry is getting to much publicity and praise for his charitable work and Wills and Kate are being slammed for their lack of work and constant vacations. But anyway – honking for Harry!

The reactions in this thread are weirding me out. Everyones scrambling to find conspiracy theories as to why Harry can’t be dating this woman. There was less resistance when it was reported he was dating Elle Goulding. Which wasn’t even confirmed in People.
It’s pretty ridiculous to think the palace would randomly choose an African American divorcee actress who converted to Judaism as a smokescreen 😂
I read them as conspiracy theories about the timing of the information leak, not the actual dating.
I spent way too much time googling this woman yesterday. Her publicist and agent are happy this got out there-even if this sinks whatever relationship they have.
Whether it’s a real story or not, I like the idea of these two together. She seems lovely & (BONUS!) she makes a refreshing change from the pool of blonde aristocrats everyone (unimaginatively) expects to see him turn up with.
Some people are bending over backwards to believe that this relationship couldn’t happen. Hmmmmmmm I wonder why? ….😏
A lot of people did the same thing to Cressida for well over a year – like, I’m pretty sure some people were still questioning it as late as early 2014. So I wouldn’t read too much into people bending over backwards to not believe the Meghan Markle story. That’s just how some people are – they don’t want to believe Harry’s relationships.
