Update: The story below refers to a different hookup. See note
Oh, George. What are we going to do with you? George has a new “girlfriend” everyone, and she’s just what you’d expect. Brunette, big boobs, doesn’t seem all that bright. His type, basically. Her name is Amber (or “Amber” if she comes from the strip club/escort agency I’m thinking of), and they met in St. Louis. This is according to the In Touch, although the details are rather vague. Apparently Amber auditioned for a role in George’s film Up in the Air, but didn’t get a part. So instead, Amber hung around, waiting for Clooney to spot her. They finally met up at a place called (I kid you not) The Tenderloin Room. It was lust at first sight for Clooney, and Amber became his “girlfriend” while he was filming in St. Louis. But it looks like Clooney wants to keep her around! He actually brought her to Miami, where he was celebrating his 48th birthday by getting hammered.
He’s notorious for being a committed bachelor, but George Clooney, 48, never goes long without a female companion on his arm.
According to insiders, he’s recently been seeing a new woman named Amber, whom he met while filming Up in the Air in St. Louis. Amber, who tried out for a part in the movie and didn’t get it, “ran into George at The Tenderloin Room at the Case Park Plaza hotel,” an insider tells In Touch.
“Sparks flew. She was supposed to leave town, but derailed the trip for him.”
Their romance soon moved to a different city – Miami. The two spent time together at the Delano hotel, where George was staying.
“They were very private about hanging out,” says another insider. “They talked and drank champagne.” But the insider adds that “thing have heated up since George moved to the Fontainebleau hotel, where there’s more privacy.”
[From In Touch, print edition, June 1 2009]
This all has a whiff of Sarah Larson, doesn’t it? They meet under shady circumstances, she drops everything to be with him, he ensconces her in ritzy hotels. Soon he’ll be taking her to the Oscars and paying for her boob job. And then the “relationship” will go to hell when she starts thinking that as George Clooney’s girlfriend, she can act like a diva, mistreat the staff and let it all hang out. Am I ruining the fantasy? Clooney ruined it first! A man like that, with his intelligence and charisma, he should be above this crap. But he’s not, and that’s Clooney’s fatal flaw. You know what sucks? I still love him. Damn it!
Update by Celebitchy: According to reader Shadow, below, Life & Style identifies the woman in the pictures shown here as a a 26 year-old waitress/model named Lucy Wolvert. She also hooked up with Clooney in Miami, and is not the same woman pictured in In Touch or mentioned in this story. It really doesn’t matter, though, because Clooney will soon move on to the next one.
Here is George out with the woman, or a look-alike it’s hard to tell, in Miami on 4/30/09. Credit: Bauergriffinonline.
She’s not really brunette, but still Clooney’s type.
One day he will get too old for this.
His type never gets too old for this behavior. He’ll keep at it even though he is beginning to look like an old fool.
This may actually be a different woman than the “Amber” mentioned in the InTouch article, as those photos are different, but it’s hard to tell.
CB – I don’t think it really matters to George! Plus, those pics are from his b-day party night, where he got hammered!
It’s creepy to me that there are still women who will drop everything for a guy and completely give themselves over to him without even knowing him. I know, I know — it’s George Clooney! But she had plans and she dumped them and, presumably, the people/friends/family who went along with those plans, as well. If he really wants her, he’ll wait a weekend.
Dear George, find a wife, a nice intelligent woman in her thirties. Settle down and have a couple of kids (Oh no, just had my heart skip imagining how gorgeous his kids would be). Do it before it is too late. This path is just not sustainable above 50.
Surprised she is not a brunette with big boobs, which is normally the kind of woman he goes for.
Can’t see much of this woman, other than she has a big nose, and is alright looking.
Glad to see him date a more average looking woman.
Gotta say though,I don’t know what women see in George Clooney.
He’s old,and unattractive.
Young chicks are definitely with him for his money
I think we overestimate George’s intelligence. Just because he’s outspoken about Darfur doesn’t mean he’s smart — it just means he knows how to read.
Another girlfriend under contract.
He’s kind of creepy… getting to that stage where it’s like going to be grandpa and his young girlfriends. He’s cute but I have never found him to be hot, or a superb actor. He’s alright. Also, he’s not really a ‘bachelor’ per se… he used to be married once. They always make it seem like he’s never been married.
If Warren Beatty settled down after so many womanizing years than George Clooney can also.
Is it just me, or does this chick in the photos look like Ashley Dupre – the high-priced hooker who brought down Elliot Spitzer? Just saying…
nanster, I was thinking the same thing. There is quite a resemblance between the two.
Never found Clooney attractive. I like his acting a lot though, and he seems like a decent guy most of the time, if a little arrogant.
And I doubt he’ll ever settle down. Look at Jack Nicholson, he’s still at it. I bet at that age Clooney will be, as well.
There’s something decidedly skeezy about old George. Always goes for the bimbos instead of hooking up with someone intelligent and who actually has a career. Probably an ego thing, he can’t have a smart woman making him look less than the influential yet sexy man-about-town he thinks he is. Blech…
Celebitchy you have completely misidentified the woman in these photos. You are showing pictures of Lucy Wolvert. She is a 26 year old cocktail waitress/model wannabe that Clooney met when he was filming “Up in the Air” in Miami. Lucy lives and works in Miami. He did not fly her into town. Lucy’s friends have also come forward this week to “Life & Style” and “US Magazine” claiming that Lucy Wolvert is the new girlfriend. These pictures were taken of Clooney and Lucy on April 30 in Miami, the night she is claiming they hooked up. Or rather she was seen leaving his hotel room at 5 am the next morning and her friends have confirmed to L & S that it was her. Lucy is also saying that she met Clooney a few years ago, and up until recently were friends, but now it is more serious. The Miami press has been all over this for the last 3 weeks.
There are many modeling pictures of Lucy floating around out there, this is definitely Lucy Wolvert, NOT some STL girl named Amber.
Those of us who are Clooney watchers have known for some time that there was a woman in STL that GC hooked up with AND a woman in Miami that he hooked up with. They are two different women. The guy works fast. It seems they are both now coming forward thinking they’re his girlfriend and people are getting them confused.
wasnt there a rumor about a gay hollywoodstar? just kidding… he always seems to disdain the girls he s with. as said above: maybe he needs that. oh how miserable.
The woman in the photos looks cheap and typical floozy. You go George. Why not?
Thanks Shadow! I don’t get Life & Style but will try to check this story out. Who can keep up with Clooney’s love life?
That’s funny, I don’t love him at all.
If this womanizing a** suddenly realizes he wants to settle down waaaay down the road years later, he’s going to have to seriously HUNT to find a loyal woman with class that will love him for who he is, and not because he’s George Clooney.
It’s obvious that George doesn’t like to hook up with celebrities, so what? As soon as they become one, he’ll dump them.
This man likes to be *real* and with real people, so I say kudos to him.
And, girls, stop being so envious. Start seeing the beauty in it 😉
Some additional info:
Lucy was the one seen coming out of the Delano Hotel at 5 am, not Amber. In these photos you can see a guy with a blue sleeve beside George in the car. That’s Nicola Siervo, the guy that owns Delano. George, Siervo, Lucy, and Lucy’s friend, Leesa Martin, all partied in Clooney’s room until 2:30 am the night of these photos. Siervo and Martin left, and then Lucy left at 5. When all these pics and sightings of the comings and goings of his hotel room hit the Miami Herald the next day, Clooney got pissed and that’s when he left the Delano and moved somewhere else.
And Lucy Wolvert is a blonde, not a brunette, and she doesn’t have big boobs. Lucy is very tall though and some Clooney posters noticed she has big feet.
So just to clear this up – George hooked up with a big boobed, brunette in STL and a big footed, blonde in Miami.
Oh and GC isn’t at the Fontainebleau hotel right now with either Big Boobs or Big Foot. He left Miami on May 12 and finished filming “Up in the Air” in Vegas. He’s been photographed in Mexico on an all boys vaca with Rande Gerber, Grant Heslov, and Ben Weiss. He seems to have dropped both women for now.
And just one more thing, the photos you’re showing here were taken on April 30 outside Quattro restaurant in Miami (also owned by Siervo). George “got hammered” on his birthday on May 6 at Miami night club, LIV.
“Always goes for the bimbos instead of hooking up with someone intelligent and who actually has a career. Probably an ego thing, he can’t have a smart woman making him look less than the influential yet sexy man-about-town he thinks he is. Blech…”
The problem with that is that bimbos don’t have careers they have to stick with.
Mature, intelligent women in prestigious career fields don’t meet him on a regular basis often enough to form a relationship.
Furthermore, Clooney kind of reminds me of the secretary who wants to marry into a life of wealth and prestige, but doesn’t have the business connections or career to meet such men. He seems to want someone with something to offer, but his career field doesn’t put him in those circles.
He wants to look good, better than the women he’s with, yet he would have to check his ego at the door and be a little humble. That’s why he’s not getting the women he thinks he deserves.
@ Rosanna
Clooney dates “real” women does he? Well he usually dates cocktail waitresses who are also rumored escorts, strippers, and porn stars (both soft and hard core) – ALL of them fame wannabes, but they don’t have any talent so they hang on to the fringes of celebrity and try to achieve fame through the sex trade and a sugar daddy. No they’re not celebrities, they’re worse. They’re wannabe celebrities and will debase themselves sexually and in any other way to achieve it. If Clooney did date a real woman, people would indeed see the beauty in that.
And, wrong again, I am not envious of women in the sex trade. Nor would I envy any woman that this man routinely chews up and spits out. There’s not much to envy here, but there is a lot of sadness, loneliness, and desperation. Look at these poor fools all now scrambling to say they’re his new girlfriend, when all they were to him was an easy piece of a**. And there he was on his 48th birthday, no close friends or family with him, so drunk he could barely walk and throwing up in the VIP room. There’s no beauty here.
i want to hear all the people who are just as disgusted by this as they are with madonna… even a fraction of the hatred would do.
George’s taste in women is predictable. He would find an educated professional woman too challenging, as in they would have their own career path and would hardly be so interested in the night life at one of Rander Gerber’s clubs. George has a jekyl/hide side. He does pick great movies and seems interested in intellectual and activist pursuits but at the end of the day–i think it is something of a facade.
Yeah, let’s see if she’s still smiling a month from now when he dumps her.
Very well said Shadow side @12:42.
My thoughts exactly.
Many Clooney fans have said that he seems to have a Madonna/Whore complex it certainly seems to fit.
(google it, anywhere but wikipedia),
well, even if these girls get heartbroken by george clooney, they’ll still have the memmory of a whirlwind romance… i’m sure at first it’s unpleasant, but many many many years later, i think i’ll appreciate looking back at their life and knowing they had a fling with george clooney… *shrug*
I’m with shadow on that “real” woman thing too. The average woman is not a sexworker.
He has become gross.
Clooney likes empty headed skanks and always will. He can tell them what to say and do and always be in charge. He seems like an insecure sob without much good sense who wants to go on cnn and tell us all he’s a combination of ‘every guy’ and Mother Teresa. Phoney.
It will never cease to amaze me the nature of men, especially those that appear to be smart and brilliant on so many levels (charity, political involvement), such as George, and then you see them never growing up, and by that I don’t mean MARRIAGE. That is just some societal cliche’ that we are still carrying from medieval times, whereby if we are not…there is something wrong with you….George on the other hand likes his women to be in owe with him, and thus not so bright, so that the relationship (if that) is non-confrontational, but rather a one-way, narcissistic and with an expiry date on it. It is disappointing merely because someone like George could have and should want a relationship with an adult, who is both brilliant, good looking and funny, and with whom he can both share laughter and pain. My guess… he does not like confrontation…that said he just becomes part of the group of adults with Peter Pan syndrome, all the while remaining a decent actor.
I guess the “Paul Newman” type was one of a kind, and now that is gone, not many interesting showbiz men to look up to, or dream of sometimes….
@ veronica
That was so good it almost made me cry.
I adore George great looking, charismatic, decent sense of humor & looking for a good time. Not hurting anyone & not pretending he’s made for marriage. Sure he’s not brilliant, but is he pretending to be? Why is everyone so outraged? Some here even sound bitter. Live & live, no?
Not trying to be brilliant? A year ago Clooney was in NYC, at UN Headquarters no less, seeking to address the United Nations. Russia said no thank you and his speech was called off. Just a month before that he was in Europe accepting an award from Nobel Laureates.
I also don’t think that the many women who found themselves so wantonly disacrded by him (and some very publicly) would agree that no one gets hurt.
And as for explaining away his behavior by saying he doesn’t want marriage – may I suggest veronica’s post? Not wanting marriage and seeking relationships with women solely for the purposes of treating them like inflatable dolls, aren’t the same thing.
Bitter? I’ve been reading posts here for a very long time. A lot of posters are in very happy relationships and have happy family lives and careers. There’s nothing wrong with questioning why Clooney is celebrated as being such a great guy when he seems to have such little regard for women. There’s nothing unusual about disliking a double standard as Christina T did in her post. A man like this is patted on the back, whereas a woman like this would be honestly called out for the life of desperate insecurity and sleazy narcissism she’s leading. And what’s wrong with criticizing hypocrisy? He’s a man who extends himself as being an enlightened liberal and humanitarian and yet treats women as if they’re disposable. It think its fair to call out a public figure on something like that.
Should these things not matter just because a person has a “sense of humor” is “great looking” and “charismatic”?
1. He’s too old for these women. This is every bit as gross as Madonna and her boy toys.
2. I think he’s gay.
if george were a 48 year old woman “dating” 25 year old himbos she would be called a slut and told to grow up, get married and have kids. i don’t begrudge george his fun- he can do what he wants – but i do resent that it’s ok for a man to behave in such a pathetic way but a woman would be called out. like kate hudson. that girl is always called a skank and a whore on these boards and i’ll bet she’s slept with way, way less people than men her age have, but because she’s a woman (and -gasp!- a mother) she is held to a different standard. that sucks. but having said all that, it is a bit pathetic that george is still dating these brainless bimbos at his age. so i guess that makes him a man-whore.
The girl in these pics IS Lucy Wolvert, but she is not 26, she is 23. She was in my high school class, and we graduated in 2004. This has ruined George Clooney for me.
Yes, very well said at 12:42, shadowside!
“he should be above this crap. But he’s not, and that’s Clooney’s fatal flaw.”
I agree. Yes, he is attractive, but his obvious conceit and presumable arrogance is beyond a turn off for me. Really, he seems to be everything I hate in a man!!
PS she def looks like Alexadre Dupree!
Go ahead and judge him. I dont think he cares. And you know what? Neither do the women.
I figure in the end, they will all get what they have coming to them. And so will we.
Feel free to interpret that one however you wish.
I agree with Shadowside.
Not to sound like I’m stirring the pot or anything, but it’s always these charismatic limousine liberal types with the worst reputation regarding women. They’re always the ones publicly preaching tolerance and diplomacy, when they aren’t even diplomatic with the people behind the scenes. I believe that being a truly noble person begins with the people in your life and enables you to work outward toward the rest of the world.
In George Clooney’s case, it’s pathetic. I mean, what’s his problem? He’s in his late 40s and *still* afraid to settle down? Especially when he’s an A-list celebrity who had a large part of his life to party and has more opportunity in the social/romantic department? I’m not even saying that he should marry, because I understand that marriage isn’t for some people, but at his age, his fear of commitment is ridiculous. I’m sorry, but it is.
He gets with these naive, star-struck, fame-hungry cocktail waitresses and strippers who are 20+ years his junior with no promise of committment anywhere in sight, and I think he attempts to keep these girls’ identities undisclosed because, frankly, no-one would want to hear their side of the story when the relationship comes to an abrupt end.
Not that I particularly find these women innocent, however. They’re using each other. These poor deluded souls would probably jump onto any famous man if given the chance in exchange for the benefits of sleeping with a high profile celebrity granted it provides recognition and the luxuries that accompany it. George Clooney just uses them for sex without committment. I hope it’s worth it for them.
I wish people would stop depicting people like George Clooney as representatives for human rights.
The girl in the photos is Lucy Wolvert, her claim to fame is that she works for Ford Models in Chicago. Her biggest job are booked through a Chicago Boutique. She recently got out of an engagement, in which everyone believed her to be a gold digger. One of her “best friends”, Leesa Martin, works at Liv, where Im sure she introduced the two. Both, Lucy and Leesa are know to be club heads who escort wealthy men around town. They are also know for the amount of time the spend in the bathroom together. So Lucy may not be the STL escort, but she is definitely a Chicago/Miami one.
LOL
I have to laugh at all these derogatory comments….all from women. Let me guess, you’re all in your 30-40’s??
There is NOTHING wrong with him enjoying younger WOMEN. She is 26, not a teenager. I think she has a good idea of his history, don’t you?
Women will never get it. You treat guys like crap while in your prime; as you get older you rip men who are in their prime and enjoying the company of a younger, nicer woman.
Get over it….its never going to change. You can call men all the names you want… you will still be sitting there at Happy Hour with all your middle aged married girlfriends, complaining about men…..while those of us in our 40’s are dating women that like to have fun!
I agree with DaringHeart. I see a lot of jealousy here. George is doing what he wants to do, and the girls he dates are doing what they want to do. The women here will never have a man like Clooney; they’re stuck with their chubby lackluster husbands (or nothing at all).
