Here are some photos of Prince Harry last Friday, doing an event for the Invictus Games. Harry has been staying in England for weeks now, as Meghan Markle has returned to Toronto to film Suits. Because both Harry and Meghan are so capable of flying under the radar, I would assume that they probably have managed and will manage to visit each other on some weekends though.
As we discussed, Meghan Markle is making some moves that indicate that she’s preparing to become a princess/duchess in the very near future. On Friday, Meghan announced that she was shutting down her blog, The Tig, after three years. People went a little bit crazy, like this was THE sign that an engagement was and is upon us. I’m still holding on to my belief that the engagement will happen this summer. If you really want to test my gossip clairvoyance, I would say…anywhere from early June to early August is when I’m expecting an announcement. The big question (for me) is: does Harry want to propose before or after Trooping the Colour in June? If he proposes before then, Meghan could come. But I suspect that he’ll wait until after his granny’s day.
The British press is salivating with the idea that Harry is going to end up married to an American actress too. The Daily Mail’s gossip guy Sebastian Shakespeare practically has them engaged already, although he smudged some details in his odd history of royal engagements, writing: “Ahead of her 2010 engagement to Prince William, Kate Middleton gave up her job as an accessories buyer for Jigsaw, earning her the nickname ‘Waity Katie’.” Except that Kate only worked at Jigsaw for a few months in, like, 2006. When William proposed, she was “working” for her parents company, but we’re not supposed to ask what she was doing or how many hours she worked or any of that. And Kate waited to “resign” from that very shady position until after she was engaged. Will Meghan have to do the same? Will Meghan officially announce that she’s leaving Hollywood/the acting world when she gets engaged?
And here’s one more piece of news: according to the Daily Mail’s Girl About Town, Harry plans on traveling with Meghan in October.

I can reveal Harry and the Suits actress will visit southern Africa in October – as soon as Meghan finishes filming her current series. The visit will take in Harry’s Lesotho charity projects, an important part of his life for the past decade, which should reassure Meghan, 35, that the Prince wants to share his passions with her.
Yeah. Look for a summer engagement. Now the question becomes: when is the wedding? If there’s a summer engagement, will there be a winter wedding??

Not that my opinion is worth $.02 to Harry but I still think it would have been brilliant for him to marry a veteran he met through Invictus. But that’s just me. At the end of the day, whether it’s an actress or a nanny or a well, waity person, what matters more is not what they did before the wedding, but what they do after.
Well said! And Megan seems to have charitable tendencies. She and Harry could do so much good together. They could become the couple Willy and Kate should be. I don’t have anything against Kate though. If she wants to focus exclusively on being a stay-at-home mom and whatever that means to her it’s her right to choose. However, Will should be out there shaking it all the time. It’s his family. Marrying a prince might sound good on paper to some but I imagine the reality is miserable. Right now King Willy is a bleak prospect.

That veteran which everyone held their breath over is quite loved up with her “dragon”… Harry never stood a chance. Think they may even be engaged by now as she has posted about finding her “dragon for life”

Has Harry been invited to Pippa’s wedding and if so, is he going? I’ve not read anything about the guest list. I thought he’d want to stay well away.
You’ll really know if things are moving after she wraps Suits and we see some kind of announcement in Deadline or THR about her leaving the show.
The show’s contract was only renewed for the present 7th season..so there might not be anything to leave

If the trip together is true, and not pure speculation, I have to wonder at all these leaks about this relationship. Usually the Wales off the calendar trips are buttoned down tight and the public hears about them after the fact.
However, still holding out hope for the Elvi to fly next spring.
He has spent 4-5 weeks at Sentebale in the summers before but Oct isn’t a usual time iirc. If he ends up waiting until after Invictus Games to go this year, the writer gets to be half right (if MM doesn’t go with him). I think the GAT writer is just throwing pasta at the wall and seeing what sticks.
As long as us British taxpayers don’t have to pay for it. We already have a £60 billion bill for an unnecessary Brexit.
I am not sure why taking down her blog has to do with Meghan getting engaged. I have a friend who is a therapist and she tells many patients when the feel stress, depression or feeling personally attacked by others to get off all forms of social media for awhile and quietly start living life. It is hard to do, but most people feel they are progressing in life when they do.
I don’t have a blog site or anything like that but I know I feel better when I take a cyber break now and then, no news, no celeb gossip, no facebook. It is tough because that constant media and social media presence is so addicting but taking a step back now and then helps me keep my perspective when I do return. Plus, when you’re in the thick of it day in and day out it’s hard to see how much sh*t gets posted and how rude one can become over trivial crap but take a step back and wow, it’s eye opening.
Why on earth wouldn’t he be “allowed” to bring his girlfriend to Pippa’s wedding, if he is in fact attending?
Because even though Pippa appeared on everyone’s radar screen by upstaging her sister at her sister’s wedding she has fears that someone will upstage her at hers. Allegedly.
She doesn’t want to be upstaged by Kate, Meghan, Spencer Matthews new girlfriend, and presumably Donna Air. In her defence, it’s her wedding, and she wants to be the star. Not her fault if she upstaged Kate at her wedding. She did look better, and Kate did pick her and must have picked the dress too. So a few threads ago, we discussed the possibility that she was going to babysit all the kids and be out of harm’s way. Honestly, can you picture her doing that?

I still think Meghan shouldn’t go all in just yet because this could backfire I say continue acting strike while the iron is hot, rack up auditions until the day you get married *possibly* to the red prince. Nothing is guaranteed.

We don’t know what they have privately planned. Meghan is smart, she’s educated. she is not a person who sat around for ten years partying, clubbing waiting for a Prince, so I doubt that whatever she is doing , that she would just become a woman who does nothing with her time.
Also Getting ANY role in any series is like hitting the lottery in Hollywood. Getting a steady paying gig as an actress is a 1 in 10million chance. Meghan beat the odds and has done quite well for herself. There are thousands of actresses who have never gotten one role and spend years auditioning to end up with nothing. I think she’s done quite well. People act as if getting a role in tv or film is easy, it’s not no matter how talented the actor is. I have several friends in LA who have been pounding the pavement for ten years. Meghan has done quite well, she has nothing to be ashamed of, in fact she can be proud of what she has accomplished. She doesn’t need to be on Meryl Streeps level to be considered a success, not many actors are on that level.
She and Harry make a fine couple and he looks happier than I’ve seen him in photos , in years. If they have something planned as far as a future only they know. I wish them both the best. They look quite happy.
If Meghan is heading to Africa in October, this can only mean that she could end her role in Suits mid season and before the summer hiatus. I think the “announcement” will come either before or after this trip. Maybe he would like to follow in William’s footsteps… William and Kate got engaged in Africa… in Kenya.

KP has issued a press release regarding Pippa’s wedding, as if she was a member of the royal family. Good to see the royal reporters are taking them to task for it.
Probably because George and Charlotte are going to be in the wedding party.
A simple statement to that effect could have been given, instead of a release about media access at a private non-royal wedding that makes it seem like KP is now the press office of Pippa Middleton.
