As you all know by now, singer/actress/dancer Jennifer Lopez and former baseball player Alex Rodriguez are together, and it’s been speculated that they are probably going to get married. They’ve already ticked off the boxes that lead to a trip down the aisle. Gushing about your romance on Ellen, check. Met Gala appearance, check. Vacation with the exes, showing that they’re all one big, happy family, check. Introducing your beau to your mother, check. Now, the couple can add “blended family photo shoot” to the list.
Jennifer, working double duty on her TV series Shades of Blue and the reality dance competition World of Dance, and Alex, who just landed a gig as a contributor to ABC News, got their kids together for a Sunday playdate and recruited photographer Ana Carballosa to document the festivities. She captured a photo of the kids, Jennifer’s 9-year-old twins Max and Emme and Alex’s daughters Ella, 9 and Natasha, 12 romping in the pool, which Jennifer posted to Instagram with the caption, “Happy Sunday, everybody!”
Ana also got a shot of the happy couple lounging cozily by the pool (with Jennifer wearing a robe reminiscent of her infamous Versace dress from the 2000 Grammys.) Alex shared that photo on his Instagram.
This isn’t the first time a Lopez/Rodriguez kiddie playdate made it to social media. Back in April, Jennifer posted a photo of Natasha giving Emme a piggyback ride. The two look like they really could be sisters, don’t you think?
Jennifer has actually been sharing a lot on Instagram, including a clip where she looks better without makeup than I ever could with a full face of the stuff. Yes, I’m jealous. In the quick clip, which she captioned, “Getting ready for show night,” Jennifer, preparing for her “AllI have” show in Las Vegas, said, “So this is what it’s like before the show. I sit here, no hair, no makeup, no nothing. Trying to get mentally prepared to give you all I have.” Sigh, well, if nothing else, it’s an excellent endorsement for keeping your skin clean and moisturized, which is what she swears by.
You know, I have always liked Jennifer and I really don’t have an opinion on Alex, but they do look like a happy family…shades of The Brady Bunch, anyone? I don’t even mind the (somewhat obvious) photo op. The kids look happy, and that’s good. I’m Jennifer’s age and I wouldn’t mind getting married again, but since I’m not a celebrity, I guess I can take it slow. (All of this does seem a little fast, right?)

Yeah I remember seeing pics of Casper and the kids. I actually remember MK over a dlisted joking about Jlo getting a babysitter for all three of them, which I thought was really funny.

Wow, the girls really do look like sisters! The families blend really nicely…now that their kids have been introduced, I really hope they make it work. I’m never really invested in JLo’s relationships but if they’re blending families, I hope this one is ‘real’.

The soulful posing in the pool lol. Come ON, it’s not all good genes and watching what you eat. She probably is getting facials and laser treatments weekly to pump up the collagen and give her that glow (although most of that is make up). I would if I had her dough!
I can’t believe it has been 17 YEARS! since Jennifer wore that Versace dress to the Grammys,time has flown by. Jennifer and Alex look happy, plus the children seem to get along. Good for them
You may be the same age but I bet my last dollar that you are far more mature than Jlo. How do I know? She acts like a 16 year old, a particularly stupid one, who never learns from her past of sharing her relationships. Every single hook up must be posted on the ‘Gram. And every relationship milestone is for public consumption. I suspect that for her next relationship (and there will be a next one because in her late 40s she still doesnt know how to pick partners and is a royal mess herself who probably shouldnt be in a relationship either), she will snap chat their first kiss.

Listen I saw her in monster-in-law movie from years ago and her forehead moved. I saw her on tv show this year it didn’t. I think she is genetically blessed and has a great skin tone But for us regular ladies don’t feel BAD I am sure she does a lot of lasers peels and treatments. My dermatologist is always talking to me about stuff but for us normal folks it’s so Expensive! Some lasers 1,000.

I like the together. In terms of success ARod is a better match for her than her previous boyfriend, the back up dancer. She seems to feel proud to show ARod off – like how she was during the Ben Affleck days.

Contrary to some comments, I have ALWAYS disliked this woman, ugg. I’m sure she has some redeeming qualities, but I’ve always known her to have a huge ego, also as being unkind and bossy to others. That alone turns me off big time. In addition, she cannot really sing well, so her talent level to me is less than mediocre, really! Let her and A-Rod have a go at this and if and when it hits bottom, which it always seems to for him, no matter which lovely lady he’s with, then it will be a media show. She will not go out happy. Just my two cents.

I can see why this is going at the pace it is. This is the first relationship she has had where her partner is a equal, especially money wise since I think, Batfleck. Marc Anthony had money, but no JLO money.
I feel her pain. I too am attracted to things that other people describe as red flags… Because they’re red flags. She likes sleaze. Hopefully, Alex has enough sleaze to keep her interested and enough decency to actually care about her.

People can be so judgy towards Jennifer but what about Drew Barrymore?
Younger than Jennifer, divorced three times, with kids, works hard–she doesn’t get the same negativity.
Is it a sign of racism because Drew hails from a distinguished family and her third husband is as prominent as they come? Whereas Jennifer is a Latina and therefore not as classy?
I do think there’s an element of racism in all of the JLo hate. I think that was particularly obvious during her relationship with Affleck. She gets crucified and blamed as though he wasn’t an active participant – yet he took out ads in the trade press courting her, bought her a massive, blinged out engagement ring, drove around in a Bentley and made his own adult decisions to be there until he couldn’t take the heat anymore. The JLo haters were much happier when he moved on to his “rightful place” to become part of Bennifer 2.0 with the sainted and dimpled, all-American white bread Jen G.
As for her face, she’s definitely getting work done, but I want to know who her Dr. is! It’s amazing work – he’s kept her awesome bone structure and face shape intact, and she doesn’t look over-injected or have ridiculous puffy cheeks and lips, etc.
I think racism plays a part but also JLo is just so out there with her shit in such an over the top way. Putting her kids in photos with every guy she dates and plastering them on Instagram. The staged pictures with Drake and then like a month later it’s Epic Romance with ARod. The extreme posing on the red carpet. It’s a weird mixture of sincerity and artifice, like I’m sure she really is in love with ARod but then she has to do this crazy PR push to sell it to the masses. She makes Mariah Carey seem relatively relaxed by comparison, and I’m not kidding about that. Carey posts lots of pictures of her kids on Insta but she doesn’t get criticized because she’s not perceived as using them to sell her image.
Did you read the comments about Drew after her divorce last year? She received A LOT of criticism. Just Saying.
I do think that some of the backlash J.lo gets has to do with resentment over the fact that she’s a Latina woman who is super wealthy, glamorous, successful etc. I also agree with the other comments that the way she courts attention also contributes to it.
I don’t mind her though. She is fun for gossip😀.
Drew keeps her shit locked down. JLo is everywhere always. And she’s so into it. I don’t remember Drew ever fawning all over the men she’s been with or tried to sell their Romance as the love of all times.
Drew made bad choices yes but they weren’t all such obviously bad guys from the get go. JLo is so OBVIOUSLY picking shit men and yet she can’t see it. Plus this relationship roll out with kids involved… ugh. It’s just not classy. At least with Drew there’s less of an element of desperation and smugness and extraness (if that can be considered a word).

The amount of men that have been cycled through her kids’ lives is amazing. She can do what she wants but I can’t imagine they’ll grow up thinking stability is a thing. I’m not ultra conservative and think that kids can never know a boyfriend but I do think that kids should not be meeting and hanging out with numerous boyfriends if they aren’t going to be there for the long term. So while JLo is a grown woman and can have fun with all the men she wants I feel for those kids.
