US Weekly’s cover story is all about Kate Gosselin for the sixth week in a row, but they have a very good exclusive that’s featured as an inset to the upper right of the cover. The wife of Leann Rimes’ lover tells US in an exclusive interview that Leann is “stalking” her husband and refuses to leave him alone.

Leann, 26, met also-married co-star Eddie Cibrian, 35, on the set of their Lifetime movie earlier this year. US Weekly blew the cover on their affair in mid March with a video of the two kissing at a restaurant. Leann and Eddie are also said to have been busted on a three hour tryst at a hotel together around that time.

In the wake of the affair rumors, both Leann and Eddie stayed with their partners and tried to make their marriages work. Leann and Eddie were photographed out together at a Lakers’ game in mid May, though, suggesting they were still seeing each other. Eddie’s wife, Brandi Glanville, says that’s not true at all and that Leann was “stalking” her husband after their breakup. Brandi claims that Leann is “desperate” and that Eddie had to change his phone number to stop the married country singer from “constantly texting and calling” him:

Eddie Cibrian cut ties with his Lifetime movie costar LeAnn Rimes two months ago — after Us Weekly exposed their steamy affair — but his wife, Brandi Glanville, tells the new issue of Us Weekly that she can’t let go of her obsession with him.

“LeAnn is a stalker,” Glanville tells Us. “She refuses to leave us alone — it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance.”

Glanville alleges that Rimes (who was caught on video sucking Cibrian’s finger during a date) intentionally tracked down her husband at a L.A. Lakers game on May 17 — two weeks after he changed his phone number to end her “constant texting and calling.”

Glanville, a model, insists she’s “not a scorned wife.

“I’m a happy wife fighting for what I have,” adds the mother of Mason, 6, and Jake, 2. (Car seats were spotted in the backseat of Cibrian’s pickup truck during a liaison with Rimes at the Malibu Beach Hotel in March.)

Glanville says Rimes’ motivation for her “disgusting” behavior is to get back in the limelight.

“LeAnn is so desperate for fame she has left her self-respect in the gutter and doesn’t care who she hurts to get what she wants,” she charges. “She’s hurting my family and messing with the wrong mom.”

A rep for Rimes did not comment, but a source says: “Eddie and Brandi are both on the record on this and LeAnn has kept quiet, so what does that tell you about who is after fame and press?”

Is Leann a jilted lover who is refusing to let go or is Eddie’s wife Brandi fooling herself as she tries to keep her family together? Her husband did cheat on her and it sounds like she’s not denying it. This meet up between Eddie and Leann was nearly two weeks ago, though. It’s old news now but is still understandably affecting Brandi, who wants to set the record straight that Leann won’t leave her husband alone.

It’s hard to tell from the outside, but there’s probably some reciprocation there that’s encouraging Leann to keep contacting the guy. It’s also possible that they’re still carrying on and that Eddie is lying to his wife about it. Eddie’s all “she’s stalking me I swear,” but he’s the one who slept with her in the first place. Last week the Enquirer reported that Brandi was fed up and didn’t believe her husband’s account that he just ran into Leann at the Laker’s game. Now she’s giving him another chance while bad-mouthing the mistress to the press. She could be trying to get Leann to stay away by smearing her to the press. It doesn’t seem like a great strategy for keeping her husband in line.
