Radar Online has a new interview with David Carradine’s third wife Gail Jensen, who was married to him from 1988–1997. Jensen seems less than sober to me in the video, but that may just be how she comes across. She said she would often find Carradine tied up in the bedroom wearing only his Speedos, and that it was probably sexual but she didn’t join in and would just go about her business and bring him food when he needed it. He told her it was a form of meditation. As far as Jensen remembers, Carradine wasn’t involved in auto-erotic asphyxiation at the time she was married to him. He did like to lay in the pool with his face down and nearly drown himself, though. She has fond memories of the guy and said that she put up with his quirks because of all the great things they did together:
Gail Jensen, the third wife of late actor David Carradine, has revealed explosive secrets of the Kill Bill star’s sexual past.
In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Jensen says that Carradine was often fond of tying himself up in the bedroom of their California ranch, and even experimented with drowning himself in their pool.
Check out exclusive photos of Jensen and Carradine’s 1986 wedding.
“He had his kinky moments,” said Jensen, who believed Carradine used the sex acts as a form of meditation.
These moments, which Jensen described as “magical acts,” included a fetish for Speedo bathing suits, as well as tying himself to bedposts or in front of the living room fireplace with belts and neckties.
Carradine was even fond of falling asleep while floating in their swimming pool, submerging up to three inches underwater before barks from the family dogs would revive him and prevent drowning.
In our exclusive clip, Jensen also describes tattoos and piercings that further quenched Carradine’s erotic appetite.
Despite his proclivities, Jensen maintains that “he was the love of my life and he always will be.”

This guy probably paid the ultimate price for his kinks, and after seeing this interview with his ex wife I’m inclined to believe that he may have been alone despite the fact that he was tied up. His family doesn’t deserve to have all these details made public, though. We all have things that we would rather be left secret. We may think they’re not this incriminating, but we still wouldn’t want everyone talking about them.
Meanwhile there’s news from the Thai police that their investigation should be completed within a month. They also say that they’re willing to work with the FBI, they just need a formal request from the US government.
File this under Odd, Icky, Disturbing.
But, under the circumstances, this kind of info is bound to become public, especially with the family insisting that the FBI investigate.
I loved that man as an actor and a charactor, I feel regret that his life has come to this…the splashing of sordid details that may or may not be true, but in the end, he has a great body of work to speak for him, and many a fan to turn the blind eye.
I just hope he was doing something he loved (!!!) rather than the conspiracy theoriests perspective.
You know… Whatever. He apparently had kinks, but apart from the personal risk involved all of these are pretty harmless.
Think about it, auto-erotic asphyxiation or groping kids? I don’t really think this makes him look bad – not that it should be known to everyone, though…
He was an ok actor but after reading the comments from 2 of his ex-wives, I think the man was a sick puppy that indulged in incest and dangeroulsy freakish activities.
OMG. Does this woman have no respect? Or courtesy? I mean really….
Can we please let the man’s passing occur in peace?
Incest? What the hell are you talking about OXA?
wif, i read another article where incest was mentioned (don’t hurt me)
FizXgirl314, 🙂 Sorry, I don’t mean to bite anyone’s head off, I hadn’t heard anything about incest and thought that people were spreading fictitious rumours based on the assumption that if you like one kind of kinky act, you must love a myriad of disgusting perversions. This happens all the time to my gay friends who get called pedophiles (how the two are equated in the minds of some people is beyond me.)
Now, can you quote your source so that I can look it up? I’m insatiably nosey.
@ wif: why does OXA have to quote a source? you can just google it…jeez.
I did google it. But my google skills aren’t nearly as good as other peoples. What I found was pretty weak, I thought she might have found something juicier. No need to “jeez” me, I was just being politely nosy.
A lot of people on this site require sources/links for the statements you make. Don’t ask. I don’t understand it myself, but then they get all in a tizzy when you don’t.
*shrugs* Just how some people are.
I read the incest accusation, it was by another ex wife:

Thanks CB
Wow. I guess nothings sacred. What a disgusting person
“Carradine was even fond of falling asleep while floating in their swimming pool, submerging up to three inches underwater before barks from the family dogs would revive him and prevent drowning”
Question: How is it possible to stay submerged underneath water for certain periods of time without actually drowning?
That statement doesn’t make any sense.
Can’t people just have nice, normal, non life-threatening sex for a change?
And of course his latest wife, Annie, is a scientologist(as Marina in her statement said). Too bad he died because he finally found somebody with practices and tastes as weird as his.
Reminds me of Bob Crane when after his death all the kinky s*it came out.
Knowing Mrs. Jenson first hand I would like to calm your concerns, and say by my best judgement she is perfectly sober. There seems to be some confusion as to how David would lay in the pool. My best interpretation is that he layed on his back and float as many of us do in the pool. He would relax to the point of sleep and once his head when under water he woke up. I’m not sure how this is confused it seems pretty clear in the interview.
Regardless of the unsavory nature of his fetishes and the fact that it apparently did kill him, I agree that neither he or his family deserve to have any of this made public. Ex wives who tell the deepest darkest secrets to sell books must live with themselves and the possibility that his worry over the impending publicity caused his “accident”. Shame on everyone involved with broadcasting this profoundly personal issue. Being a celebrity does not negate the right to privacy.
David Carradine was my favorite actor
for more than 30 years.
Even in many movies that are awful, he is always great. He was also a very cool musician.
And a good writer: his autobiography, Endless Highway,
is one of the best autobiographies
i have ever read.
His book, Spirit of Shaolin, is also pretty
darn good, and so is his book, the Kill Bill Diary.
The man was 72 years old for God’s sake! – so if he wants to tie himself up, i say more power to him!
