She may be on one of TV’s most popular sitcoms, but Modern Family star Sarah Hyland doubts whether or not she thinks she’s funny. Backstage at KIIS FM’s annual Jingle Ball show on Friday night, the 27-year-old actress confessed to PEOPLE that, “I don’t know. I’m just…I think I’m hysterical when I’m really not. I’ll be like, ‘This is an amazing bit that I have to put on my Instagram Story.’ But the thing about Instagram Story is you don’t get responses, so I don’t know if people actually like them or not!”
Her Instagram followers may not be able to let her know if she’s funny, but her beau, 33-year-old Wells Adams is there. Sarah noted, “I think the only person who actually somewhat finds me funny is my boyfriend. Thank God!”
Sarah started chatting up Wells, an alum of both The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, over the summer. The two were were rumored to be an item after making an appearance at a Halloween party dressed as characters from Stranger Things. Wells donned a dress and blond wig for his Eleven costume (with Eggo prop, of course) and Sarah dressed as Dustin. Sarah captioned the photo, “#strangerthings have happened #happyhalloween.” This is beyond adorable. Because of this picture alone, I approve this relationship 100%.
The two have been pretty much inseparable since then. They celebrated a romantic Thanksgiving holiday and Sarah’s birthday with a day at Disneyland and a romantic helicopter ride to Catalina Island. If the trip wasn’t romantic enough, Wells added a list of the “Top 5 ways helicopters are like Sarah”, which include “They make you feel like you’re floating”, “Every moment with them is an adventure” and “They are really f—ing cool.” He then wrote, “Happy birthday @sarahhyland. You’re my favorite thing.” Too sweet.
Also last month, the couple posed for a bedroom selfie with Wells’ adorable bloodhound, Carl, with the caption “Two more reasons to smile again. My big🥄& furry🥄.” If the dog likes you, you’re in, am I right?
Things between the couple are just getting better. Bachelor in Paradise star Ashley Iaconetti talked about their relationship with Us Weekly at the Justice League premiere on November 14. She noted, “I think they are really public about it. I’m surprised about that. But I’ve known it’s been going on for a while and I think they both really like each other so that’s cool.”
I think Sarah and Wells are awesome together (check out Sarah’s Instagram if you don’t believe me. And, coordinating Stranger Things costumes. By the way, I think Sarah has a great sense of humor.) I’d love to hang out with them, and I wish them the best.

I liked him on Bachelorette, and I like her in Modern Family, but hey are very anoying together. I mean, you have to be a famewhore to go on Bachelor, but they are over the top even for that. She’s not funny on instagram tho.
And everyone and their mother was Eleven for Halloween this year, so no points for that.

I will forever support her, even if she is a bit ridiculous. She was so brave for leaving the abusive relationship she was in and I applaud her candour in speaking about it. Also, all the love for Julie Bowen et al for helping her out. Glad she’s happy now 🙂
I hate this chick in Shadowhunters, freaking sealee Queen took my Simon. It also doesn’t help that she looks like she’s 12 years old in the series with huge boobs
