Miley is coming out with the upper hand after her break up with Justin Gaston. She is reportedly hooking up again (or at least hanging out) with her ex Nick Jonas, and both of them have said, in separate interviews, that they have “reconnected.” Whether or not they are an item again, she has also been making out with a hot guy on the beach for her new movie, a film version of the Nicholas Sparks book The Last Song. And now, she has a new nose piercing. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, says that he was nervous about it but took her to a place in Studio City to get it done.
Billy Ray Cyrus took 16-year-old daughter Miley to get her nose pierced. The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer was unsure about the “Hannah Montana” actress having the piercing, but wanted to be with her when it happened.
He revealed: “She said, ‘Daddy would you take me to get my nose pierced?’ I said, ‘Did you ask your mamma?’ and she said, ‘Mamma said I can do it if you would take me.'”
“We went to a little place in studio city. I felt kind of nervous.”
Billy – who stars alongside Miley in “Hannah Montana” – also admits he found it hard when his daughter began to date but accepts he has to let her get on with her life.
He added to U.S. TV talk show host Larry King: “You probably heard the song I wrote, ‘Ready, Set, Don’t Go.'”
“It’s about that moment in a daddy’s life that you realize your little girl has grown up. It’s time for her to make her own decisions.”

I have to say, I’m kind of jealous. I wanted a nose piercing so badly when I was in high school, but I couldn’t because my parents wouldn’t let me. But on the other hand, I wasn’t going through a public breakup with a 20-year-old, so there is that. Miley and Justin’s breakup has been not only public because Miley is in the spotlight, but also because they have been twittering about each other, not-so-secretly. On June 8th, Justin wrote, “How many tears are in* there? They’ve gotta run out soon right?” And perhaps in response to Miley’s “I’m in love all over again – with Savannah,” he wrote: “So I fell in love today.. With my gibson.. Seriously it’s so beautiful and it was just sitting there singing to me.. I couldn’t help it.”
Their maybe-innocent love notes aside, Justin has now been named in the lawsuit accusing Miley of anti-Asian racism. Lucie Kim, the woman filing the suit, claims that since Justin was an adult at the time (he was 20 while Miley was 15), he should be held responsible for the photograph:
Lucie Kim now claims Justin should have put the kibosh on the pic because he was an adult.
According to the amended lawsuit, Miley’s parents gave Justin authority to “supervise, manage, guard, and oversee [Miley’s] conduct while in [his] presence.”
Now here’s where the plot thickens. Even though Kim believes Justin was responsible, she didn’t add him as a defendant to the $4 billion lawsuit. We’re guessing it’s because the only 4 billion Justin knows is the burgers he’ll be selling at McDonald’s.

It seems silly to imply that Justin was “in charge” of the people at the party. He’s Miley’s boyfriend, not her babysitter. Following her logic, wouldn’t anyone 18 or older at the party be responsible for the underage kids? If so, why isn’t the guy holding a glass of red wine named in the suit?
It will be interesting to see where this lawsuit goes. It’s for $4 billion, an exorbitant amount, and if taken to court, I doubt they will rule in Kim’s favor. It will probably be settled out of court by Miley’s lawyers. Miley has already issued two apologies, one a sort of “I’m sorry,” and the other more sincere. Although this particular legal issue will probably be dropped, if Miley does something like this again, she clearly hasn’t learned her lesson.

Ahhh, the post break up piercing. I should know. Good for her.
That lawsuit is a ridiculous joke..
My GAWD she looks like a chipmunk in that pic!
Her mom looked like a friend of her…she is quite pretty!
She has apologised. It’s sad when that not enough these days. Just goes to show people act like they are hurt to get what they really want.
She needs to be a little more careful because to much leak out about her.
I’m glad for the lawsuit. Not because I think it will actually go anywhere (there’s a high chance they’ll just settle out of court like most cases) but because of the fact that so many people find it ok to be racist towards Asians because we’re a more submissive “model minority” type. It’s equivalent to “black face” painting. And had she done that, you know the NAACP would’ve been up in arms with Jesse Jackson leading the pack. That is of course, not to say, that I wouldn’t be right there agreeing with the NAACP.
When will enough be enough? Racism is not ok, in any form.
Piercing: My mom would neverever allow anything to mar my body. And really, at 16, should she be getting anything poked into her? Hasn’t there clearly been enough of that?
My God. People in this country really will sue over ANYTHING. So, who is this person going after this obsecene amount of cash anyway (even granting this loon a dolar should be criminal!!)? Just another no one who claims that her feelings were hurt over a picture that has NOTHING personnaly to do with her? Look, I live in America, and although I think racism is wrong, there is something called freedom of speech and thought written into our Constitition and it is there for a reason. So I ask, what is the point of this suit? To declare that Miley and Justin aren’t allowed to make tastless jokes? People in our society are wayyy to overzealously eager to find something to be offended over all the time. It’s those kooks you need to worry about, not teenagers being silly.
Annie: What is your point eaxactly? That Asians more are entitled to sue over being made uncomfortable by “insensitive” remarks than other people? Or is it that making those who say or due rude things finacially punishible will somehow force them to think differently? I don’t want to be a bitch here, but as a young woman who is also a minority, I say GROW UP. Turn the other cheek and move on. It’s like elementary school, you can’t force the other kids on the playground to be your friend. And the kids whose families try are ALWAYS resented.
That Asians more are entitled to sue over being made uncomfortable by “insensitive” remarks than other people?
Uh no.
My point is that it is never okay to single out any ethnic minority for factors they cannot control and that it is important that society is reminded that racism towards anyone is not acceptable.
But your retort of “Grow up” shows me exactly where you stand on things and how you like to respond to them.
Myself, I prefer to not let racism in any form, whether it be towards myself or my friends of other ethnic minorities, slide. And if you truly believe that I need to “grow a thicker skin” you let me know if you’ve ever had someone spit on the ground near your feet and call you a gook. Ok? Let’s see how you’d react.
hey man, i agree with PATRICE. people
are turning into little wussies nowadays. everyone needs to stop with the pitifull,”my feelings got hurt, now i wanna sue”, schemes.
if i had a dollar for every time my friends ripped on me for being jewish — i’d have more money than spielberg. i’m not sayin’ it is okay to be racists schmucks but seriously in a world with neo-nazis, bill o’reily and the kkk – she’s gonna go after the daughter of the achey breaky heart guy and the half-wit underwear hanger? psht that’s like me suing cartman!
@Patrice – Totally agree.
Getting a nose piercing at her age is not a big deal. Hell, half of my cousins have them and they got pierced when they were thirteen.
