A few days ago, the news came out that there was a sex tape featuring Leighton Meester making the rounds as the owner shopped for a good deal. In the video, she is completely naked, and although there are rumors that her boyfriend apparently had a foot fetish, some sites claim there is “nothing kinky” in the video.

But websites like TMZ are trying desperately to get their hands on the tape, and it is reportedly being hawked for $1 million to porn distributors. At the moment, Celebhotline (link is NSFW) has the tape featured on their site, along with videos of Britney Spears lookalike, and Ashley Dupre. But according to a commenter on The Superficial, once you get to the members only area, instead of the video is a message saying “Negotiations regarding procurement of the much sought after video are continuing. Please bear with us and enjoy your free membership while we work. Check back frequently for updates!” It seems like they haven’t been able to cough up the dough for the tape yet.

Of course, until a few days ago, whether or not this was really Leighton Meester was up for debate. There were also questions about whether she was of age at the time, a factor which would determine the legality of the video. But now photos have been released which may prove that, not only is it definitely Leighton, but also that she was 18 – of legal age – at the time.

Evidence on Celebslam seems to prove that it is in fact Leighton. When comparing a photo of Leighton at the “Silver Spoon Hollywood Buffet” in September of 2004 (when she was 18), with the stills from the movie, you can see that she is wearing the same set of necklaces in both images. The pictures aren’t Photoshopped, because on all of Leighton Meester’s fansites, there are many more pictures showing her wearing the same two necklaces. The necklaces are probably proof that this is Leighton, and though they don’t definitively prove that she was 18 at the time, wearing certain pieces of jewelry over and over probably points to a certain time frame. Also, the fact that the video is being sold for such a high sum implies that the owner is confident he can’t get in trouble for the age of the star.

As CB mentioned, this probably won’t hurt – and may help – Leighton’s career. She’s already rocketed to fame in the Gossip Girls franchise, and this will only bring her more popularity. In 2004, she was guest starring in shows like 7th Heaven and Crossing Jordan, and wasn’t exactly a household name. She probably had no idea that this kind of thing would ever affect her life in any way. Now, in 2009, hopefully she’s learned her lesson and has no plans to take it off for the camera again.
