I had to go back and check to see when we last discussed Jenny Slate and Chris Evans. They met and fell in love on the set of Gifted in 2015. Their affair helped put the final nails in the coffin of her marriage, and after that, she was ride-or-die for Chris. They spent a chunk of 2016-17 together but then he dumped her and she did a really TMI interview about their breakup, and months later (circa late summer 2017), they got back together (because Chris loves to backslide). They traveled together. They real-estate shopped together. She tweeted twee things about shopping for turtlenecks with his approval. She spent Christmas with his family. And that was the last time we talked about them – we haven’t discussed them all year, shockingly. And now this: they’ve broken up. Again.
One of the Internet’s favorite coupled might have called it quits again. Chris Evans, 36, and Jenny Slate, 35, are not together anymore after rekindling their relationship late last year, according to a new profile of the Infinity War actor in the New York Times.
As Evans recalls a book he read while they were still together, the article states that the two called it off recently. Evans says he learned to listen more while reading Rebecca Solnit’s The Mother of All Questions: “The hardest thing to reconcile is that just because you have good intentions, doesn’t mean it’s your time to have a voice,” the actor, now starring in Lobby Hero on Broadway, told the Times.
If you have to break the news that you’ve broken up with someone, best do it in the paper of record, the New York Times. That’s a big ouch. So far, Jenny has been radio silent on Twitter and Instagram, so I can only assume there’s another interview coming. I actually hope she does that again – it would liven things up, gossip-wise.

Why announce the break up of a relationship that even gossip followers don’t even care about,sounds like attention seeking.
The breakup is a throw away line in a pretty long piece. She doesnt come up again. Its complicated for celebs because being spotted out with a different girl or guy than the one on record can trigger very bad publicity for you.
Have these two not graduated from high school yet?
This time around they pretty much stayed out of the public’s eye…and I wish he had followed that stance all the way through…Just another reason why I will NEVA think of him as the “Best Chris”!
My best Chris is Pine. But Hemsworth seems to be best at being a family man.

Hemsworth as best on the personal level as family man…hmmm…sure, but let’s leave an asterisk by that. I mean, it certainly seems that way given the constant parading of the family on social media. Like…constant. All the time. So I get that I’m definitely supposed to believe it….*

Chris Evans is obviously the type of man you got to treat like garbage otherwise he loses interest. I can see why that would be hard because he seems so sweet.
Oh I don’t think Slate had a problem with treating him like sh*t. On the Anna Faris podcast she called him a ‘dumb piece of sh*t’ and that was only because he mentioned wrong movie title that they saw together. Just imagine what insults she must have thrown his way if he ever did something more serious.
Looking on the bright side… He finally acknowledged the relationship (or end of) publicly 😀
I saw a picture of him yesterday, with a moustache, and I am HERE FOR IT. I have no idea what he is like as a person but I love looking at him haha.

A lot of people still see this relationship as very odd and more one sided. He went back to Minka several times and always gave her a papwalk. Jenny didn’t even get that. But she went nuts on stories every week. I think this is why he confirmed the breakup. She is exhausting. He must like something about her to fill a void but he can’t stomach her long term it seems. He’s private and she’s not but he really made no effort for her desperate attempts to be seen as his choice. Glad it’s done. Hope she spills tea on him.
I’m guessing one more make-up break-up for these two.
This relationship with Jenny was totally different. 1) Jenny was a married woman regardless of the different timelines of their getting together. 2) Jenny’s personality is radically different from Chris former girlfriends. 3) Jenny said that Chris told her he wanted to be really good friends with her. Jenny is known for her love of refer and rumor has it that he loves candy. A little over indulgence of either of their drug choices or a combination of both, and the next morning we are going to be great friends. This is the final break up so Chris can remain the good guy.
I suspect he’s a total fuckboi when it comes to relationships, but I will admit that I’m vaguely surprised to find that he’s dating a woman his own age.
Broke up again…at last, eh?

Move on with your life or stop talking about what you want and have not yet attained in your life yet: marriage, kids, etc.
Evans does begin to sound like a broken record and as talented and charming as Evans is, Pine has become become the best Chris.
