Ordinarily, the report that some actor or actress has gotten injured on the set is no big deal. Actors have minor (and sometimes major) injuries all the time. Unfortunately Diane Keaton was injured on the New York set of her film Morning Glory today. Radar has a picture of Keaton on a stretcher, holding her forehead in what looks like significant pain. Radar’s reporting that Diane was injured while “filming a sumo wrestling scene”. Seriously? Diane Keaton is a national treasure, Hollywood. Please don’t injure this great lady by making her film a sumo wrestling scene.
Veteran actress Diane Keaton has been injured on the New York City set of her new comedy, Morning Glory.
Sources tell RadarOnline.com that Keaton was injured filming a sumo wrestling scene in Battery Park at Warren Street and River Terrace.
The star took a fall and seemed to suffer pain in her forehead.
Glory costars Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum.

I’m really worried about Diane, and celebrities in general. Every Oscar nominee and winner, just watch your step, okay? All of you Grammy winners out there – keep your eyes peeled for falling debris. Emmy winners – keep your eyes on the road, and your hands at the preferred 10 and 2 o’clock positions. Everyone send positive thoughts to Diane!
Update: People Magazine is reporting that Diane is fine. Paramount released this statement: “Diane Keaton is in good health and spirits following a fall on set of Morning Glory where she bumped her head… The actress was taken to a hospital for precautionary tests and has been cleared by doctors to return to work tomorrow.” Your prayers worked!
Here’s Diane Keaton on the movie set ‘Morning Glory’ in New York on May 27th. Images thanks to Fame Pictures .
this cast sounds OUTSTANDING. can’t wait.
Whoa, careful there, Diane.
She can’t even walk in those shoes! I swear, shoes with that high of a heel were created by a man who hates women! It’s just like Chinese foot-binding. So ridiculous to teeter along like that unable to walk at a normal gait.
I wish she had been admitted or something.
