The BET Awards were held last night in LA, with Jamie Foxx acting as host. You can see the list of this year’s award winners here. The show included an impromptu performance of “This is America” from Childish Gambino/Donald Glover, plus Nicki Minaj doing her thing and plenty of awards for Black Panther. I just wanted to cover some of the red carpet photos, because there were some interesting fashion moments. Here’s Janelle Monae in a Nicolas Jebran ensemble, because the BET Awards also fall during Pride Month and Monae wanted to celebrate with a rainbow skirt. I love her and I love this ensemble – it’s costume-y, but most of what she wears looks like a costume to me, so she might as well have fun.

Blac Chyna wore a chainmail two-piece from Laurel DeWitt. I actually think she looks really good here, is that weird?

Amber Rose in Bryan Hearns. I’m always shocked when Amber wears one of her longer wigs because the longer hair really does make her look SO different. She looks pretty here, but she just doesn’t look like herself.

Tyra Banks in a Stello jumpsuit. I’m laughing at how bad this is. OMG.

Remy Ma – I actually like this polka-dotted fabric and I wish it was just done a more traditional, simple gown because it would have looked amazing. I’m not really feeling the puffy shoulder thing. The design makes it seem dated/vintage.

Jamie Foxx – who was the host – with his daughter Corinne. Corinne is flat-out gorgeous.

Garcelle Beauvais in some kind of pink thing… I know what they were trying to do and they came close to pulling it off, but no… this is not good.
