Gal Gadot visited a children’s hospital dressed as Wonder Woman

No sure if I’ve ever mentioned this before but celebrities visiting hospitals are some of my favorite stories out there. And I especially love it when they go in costume and interact with kids in character. The latest in a long line of people making lives better for sick kids is Gal Gadot who is current filming Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to Wonder Woman, in Washington DC. Gal, dressed in full Wonder Woman costume, visited Inova Children’s Hospital in Annandale, Virginia:

This series of photos is just precious. I get that the baby has no idea who Wonder Woman is but she will one day. And clearly her mother knows who she handed her daughter to:

One of the first tweets I saw about this was from a Dr. Lucas Collazo who thanked Gal for the visit and emphasized how much the children – and staff – appreciated her:

But the best thing about that paticular tweet was the comments:

Former patients’ parents were all over his twitter thanking him and giving updates on their child that he saved – it really made the whole thing even more touching.

As you know, I am a pretty big fan of the Wonder Woman character. I’ve loved all the women who played her, but I love the character first and foremost. So, this tweet made me laugh because if I’d had a day off and found out I’d missed WW, at least one of my on-duty co-workers would have heard about not calling to tell me!

The majority of photos were posted by the staff and patients’ parents at the hospital. The official Wonder Woman 1984 Twitter account reposted a few of them for publicity but they also found a way to benefit the patient’s further, like by posting their Go Fund Me page to help with medical costs. The visit seemed to have brought joy to everyone, including Gal.

In quick WW84 news, we got our first look at Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Minerva a. k. a. Cheetah:

And, as Kaiser mentioned a few weeks back, Steve Trevor will be in the movie. How and why is unknown. I love Chris Pine as the next person but seriously, please do not muck this up Patty and crew!

It’s so cool when stars use their “power” for good. I love these posts.

As a side note, I missed seeing Fergie back in her weight watchers days when I decided to skip the weekly meeting and she made a surprise visit to my regular location LOL

The video of her meeting the crying little girl at a comicon and telling her “You don’t have to cry. We’re friends now!” awhile back melted my heart. GG seems so genuinely sweet – Loves me some GG/WW!

All the tweets were great. To the co-worker who was on a day off: hahahaha (sorry! The tweet was funny).
I cannot wait WW84. I am so glad Gal was chosen to play WW.

I am so excited for Wonder Woman 1984 I feel kind of silly about how I’m geeking out over these early photos.

That said, I hope they don’t screw up Steve Trevor’s return because they were so good together in the first film and I hope Dr. Minerva/Cheetah’s journey isn’t the stereotypical mousy scientist to crazed villain.

Alot of stars visit and donate to hospitals. Gal did same thing as other stars. They are all kind!

  8. Wood Dragon says:

And I moved away from the DC area in May. Crummy timing, right?

  9. Other Renee says:

Made me teary-eyed. It’s one of the kindest things celebrities do. The thought of kids needing to be hospitalized, so many with serious illnesses, always upsets me. Puts life and my own little complaints into perspective.

  10. Grant says:

Love her and Wonder Woman! One of the best superhero movies of all time, really. I can’t wait for WW1984.
